This study examined the factors that affect the relationship between customer consumption propensity, customer bakery selction and customer behavioral intention. A total of 300 questionnaires were distributed to the consumers, of which 27 were deemed suitable for analysis after the removal of 28 unusable responses. In order to perform statistical analyses required in the study, SPSS 18.0 Statistical Program was employed for frequency analysis, factor analysis, and reliability analysis. The results of exploratory factor analysis showed that three factors regarding customer consumption propensity were extracted from all measurements with a KMO of 0.778 and a total cumulative variance of 62.121%. With regard to bakery selection attributes, three factors were extracted with a total cumulative variance of 65.69% and a KMO score of 0.776. One factor for behavioral intention was extracted that accounted for a total cumulative variance of 69.82% and a KMO score of 0.803. All factors were significant to 0.000 and the correlation between variables was significant. Thus, based on the results, the main research hypothesis that identifies the relationships between bakery selection attributes and behavioral intention was partially adopted.

In this study, we describe the inhibition of adipocyte differentiation by the lactic acid bacteria (LAB) fermentation product of Chrysanthemum indicum L. (CI) extract to control obesity. Preparation of LAB-fermented products was performed to overcome the cytotoxicity of CI extract. During fermentation and 3T3-L1 cell line experiment, cytotoxicity was not induced in the CI fermentation products over 1 day in culture. Fermented materials from highly proliferative cultures were selected for treatment of 3T3-L1 cells and for comparison with unfermented control groups. Cell survival and undifferentiated cell populations were decreased differentiation population in all experimental groups compared with controls, as measured using fluorescence-activated cell sorting analysis. Akt pathway activity increased upon treatment with these fermented extracts in 3T3-L1 cells. Gli2 depleted at the protein level in association with adipocyte differentiation. LAB KCTC 3115- and 3109-fermented extract treatment caused controlled Gli2 protein accumulation. Moreover, KCTC 3115 and 3109 were found to reduce C/EBPα and FAS was depleted, whereas pACC was increased at the protein level upon treatment with the fermentation products of each of the four LAB used in this study. With Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis KCTC 3115 fermentation, the regulation of adipose differentiation and hedgehog signaling were also suppressed, thereby inhibiting the differentiation of progenitor cells. The basis for the activation of hedgehog signaling may provide insights into the treatment of obesity and the inhibition of adipocyte differentiation.
Domestic pizza market in Korea is in the age of maturity, and competition in the market is getting intense. Brand personality that can prompt consumer sensibility is evaluated as a proper method to differentiate the image of a corporate rather than products or technology that can be copied easily by competitors. In this study, we examined the structural relationships among brand personality of pizza brands in Korea, customer-brand relationship quality, and repurchase intention with selected measurement based on Aaker's Big 5. Based on questionnaires answered by 291 customers, this study examined validity and reliability by using SPSS 16.0 and AMOS 5.0 for its hypotheses. The result of the study modelling were GFI=0.900, NFI=0.922, CFI=0.965, RMSEA=0.050 at the level of ${\chi}^2$=384.130(df=1.715, p<0.001). First, sincerity, competence, and sophistication of the pizza brand personality had a positive effect on intimacy. Second, sincerity, competence, sophistication, and strength of the pizza brand personality had a positive effect on brand partner quality. Also, intimacy and brand partner quality had a positive effect on repurchase intention. Therefore, in the practical perspective, pizza brand management can utilize the findings of specific pizza brand personality in creating a competitive edge for marketing.

This study describes the identification of Panax species using mitochondrial consensus primers. Initially, a total of thirty primers were tested in ten Korean ginseng cultivars and two foreign Panax species, P. quinquefolius and P. notoginseng. In the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification results, three primers (cox1, nad1/2-3 and nad2/1-2) generated co-dominant polymorphic banding patterns discriminating Korean ginseng cultivars from P. quinquefolius and P. notoginseng. However, these primers could not generated polymorphisms among the Korean ginseng cultivars, and simply represented species-specific polymorphisms for P. quinquefolius and P. notoginseng. Primers PQ91 and PN418 were designed from the consensus sequence of nad1/2-3 region. Two banding patterns (A or B) were detected in PQ91. Korean ginseng cultivars and P. notoginseng shared the same banding pattern (A type) and P. quinquefolius was identified another banding pattern (B type). In the case of PN418, two banding patterns (A or B) were detected in the Korean ginseng cultivars and two foreign Panax species. Korean ginseng cultivars and P. quinquefolius shared the same banding pattern (A type) and P. notoginseng was identified another banding pattern (B type). The combination banding patterns of three Panax species, Korean ginseng cultivars (Panax ginseng C. A. Mey.), P. quinquefolius and P. notoginseng, was identified as 'AA', 'BA' and 'AB', respectively. Consequently, PQ91 and PN418 primer sets can be used to distinguish among Panax species.
This study was conducted to survey multiple factors of aversion to vegetables and preferences for vegetable-related recipes in school meal services among elementary school children in order to help develop various menus and recipes for school meal services. Questionnaire survey was carried out with the study subjects, who were 401 children in 6th grade attending elementary schools in Chonnam and Kwangju metropolitan regions. Results from the survey can be summarized as follows: 65.1% of respondents answered they try to eat vegetables and other namul side dishes served in school meal service for health. As for the frequency of taking vegetables and namul side dishes out of daily meals, 47.4% of respondents chose 'once or twice'. The reasons for aversion to vegetables in boys were taste and cooking method, while girls were taste and feeling between teeth. In boys there were no differences between regions of Kwangju and Chonnam but the tendency of aversion to vegetables was significantly high in girls. As for the aspects of vegetable aversion of subjects, 46.9% of respondents took up 'black & purple' in the unfavorable color of vegetables. 49.1% in 'bitterness' and 39.2% in 'greasiness' were in terms of the aversive taste of vegetables. The aversive vegetable recipes were 58.6% in 'raw & seasoned' and the unfavorable feeling of vegetables were 53.1% in 'squashiness'. There were differences between regions of Kwangju and Chonnam with boys in color and cooking method in girls. Results from the survey on their preferences for vegetable recipes showed that leafy vegetables like crown daisy (raw/slightly seasoned) and pak choi (broth/pot stew) fell to the most aversive category, while bean sprouts (broth/pot stew) were chosen as the most favorable one. Among root vegetables bell-flowers were found to belong to the least preferred recipe, while potatoes were proven to be most preferable in terms of recipes. As for fruit vegetables and other vegetables, all respondents didn't like 'fatsia shoots' vegetable and it's cooking method and they preferred 'green pumpkins (broth/pot stew)'. In respect of mushrooms, enoki mushroom (broth/pot stew) was found most preferred and had high tendency of preferences in boys and girls in Kwangju compared with Chonnam region. The study results indicated that respondents did not show big differences in factors influencing them to be averse to vegetables and their preferences for vegetable recipes depending on regions. In order to have high preference and intake in children's diets, it needs to study in reform of menu about using namul or vegetables mixed with meats and fruits that children preferred or applying roasted and fried other less than namul.
The purpose of this study is to make an evaluation on menu selection and satisfaction levels of the tourists who visit Korean restaurants in Busan. This study aims to propose general, strategic plans for improving the menu quality management of Korean restaurants in the future and find out measures to make restaurant users satisfied and revisit. A survey was conducted on ordinary people who had visited Korean restaurants in tourist hotels in Busan. A total of 310 copies of questionnaire were distributed to them from September 1 to 30, 2008. The SPSS/PC+ for Window 12.0 was used for data processing and analysis. As a result, it was found that selection attributes of Korean restaurant menu had an effect on customer satisfaction and revisit intention, and the most influential factors were health and menu designs. These days, people are getting more interested in keeping in shape with the Well-being trend. Such a modern trend is an important factor when selecting menu items. Therefore, when menu management is considered, health-related factors need to be considered more than anything else. In addition, various and unique menu items need to be designed to draw people's curiosity and make customers revisit.

In this study, we examined inhibition of adipocyte differentiation associated with the administration of camphor, a substance identified in extracts of the flowering plant Chrysanthemum indicum L. (CI). No camphor-mediated cytotoxicity was observed over a period of 1-10 days in studies targeting cells of the 3T3-L1 adipocyte-like line. Experiments that featured siRNA-mediated suppression of the transmembrane proteins Patched (PTCH) and Smoothened (SMO) resulted in inhibition and activation of differentiation, respectively. Interestingly, inhibition of PTCH typically activates SMO protein targeting and serves to activate hedgehog (HH)-mediated signaling. The results of our study suggest that activation of HH-mediated signaling can inhibit adipocyte differentiation. Furthermore, expression of glioma-associated oncogene homologue 1 (Gli1) was detected by flow cytometry in 62.7±1.5% of cells in response to administration of Lactobacillus rhamnosus (KCTC 3237) and in 60.4±2.2% of cells in response to camphor; these levels are higher than those detected in undifferentiated controls (24.9±3.1%). No change in the state of fermented camphor was identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), but a 15.41% quantitative increase was confirmed in KCTC 3237. Overall, we conclude that administration of camphor resulted in overexpression of SMO and modulated the differential expression of Gli1. Animal studies focused on the impact of camphor as an agent to counteract obesity might be considered in the future. Indeed, camphor and similar physiologically active compounds from fermented CI might be developed as new and effective treatments for obesity.
The purpose of this study is to secure the basic data for the physical environment of an eco-friendly restaurant by surveying and analyzing customer perceptions of the servicescape of an eco-friendly restaurant and to verify the organic causation of the servicescape of an eco-friendly restaurant and customer perceived value, attitude and behavior intention. The samples for empirical analysis were selected from the customers over 20 years who lives in Seoul and Kyung-gi suburbs have experienced visiting eco-friendly restaurant or green restaurant more than once a month. Total 300 copies of questionnaire were distributed for the survey from the second day to the fifteenth day of April for 14 days, and total 264 (88.0%) copies of survey questionnaire except for some questionnaires that had much strong lean tendency or the missing value was discovered. The research results are as follows; when a customer recognizes an eco-friendly restaurant favorably, he or she considers that servicescape plays an important role in deciding perceived value through tangible and intangible perceived values. Since, customer perceived value has a positive effect on attitude and behavior intention, the customer considers as affected on his/her behavior intention when satisfied with the eco-friendly restaurant, which is considered that positive customer attitude will have an effect on behavior intention. Thus, it is considered based on this in-depth analysis result that maintaining and providing servicescape of high standard in the manager's perspective will have a direct effect on ensuring tangible outcomes.
The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of job rotation on employees' motivation and satisfaction. That is, it is the ultimate aim to know why employees want job rotation or why not, whether the rotation has an effect on their motivation, and finally whether the motivation gives direct job satisfaction. As a result of the survey, the efficiency and procedure of job rotation have influence on motivation. The employees also think that regular rotation can help them to find the proper position to meet their aptitude. And motivation also affects employees' achievement, benefits, and relationship with their bosses. Especially, when they feel great achievement and pride in their jobs, their satisfaction appeared to be very high. And when they are paid properly in comparison with their workload, or they learn special knowledge from their bosses, they usually content themselves.
This study assessed the effects of treatment with sap extract from onion residues postharvest and purslane on the quality and quantity of organic onions. At the bending stage, onions treated with the sap extract showed vigorous growth, with higher plant heights, more leaves, and longer sheath lengths than untreated onions. The onion yield was significantly increased when the plant was treated with extracted sap as compared with that of untreated plants (p<0.05). The bulb weight distribution of onions in the mixed onion and purslane treatment was also significantly increased (~300 g) as compared with that of the other treatment (p<0.05). Except for CaO and S, the mineral content of the onions produced from plants treated with the onion and purslane extract mixture was higher than those of onions in the other treatment. The hardness of onions produced from plants treated with the onion and purslane extract was significantly increased (8% and 20%, respectively) as compared with that of onions produced from plants treated with the onion extract only or no treatment (p<0.05). However, there was no significant difference in the sugar contents of the onions produced from extract-treated and nonextract-treated plants. Postharvest, the content of inorganic components (phosphate, calcium, sulfuric acid, and manganese) was higher in soil treated with the onion extract than in soil treated with the onion and purslane extract and non-treated soil. It can be concluded that residues left after onion harvests and purslane extract can be used as natural and environmentally friendly materials for the cultivation of organic onions.
