지리정보체계를 이용한 만경강.동진강의 유역정보 및 오염부하량 분석 (Analysis of the Watershed Information and Pollutants Load using GIS in Mankyung and Dongjin Rivers)

  • 만경강·동진강 유역의 유역정보를 지리정보시스템(GIS) 도구를 이용하여 추출·분석하였다. 수치지도, 토지이용도, 점오염원, 강우량 및 강우관측소 정보, 수질관측소 정보, 원단위 오염부하량 정보를 데이터베이스화 하였으며, 유출량 산정 및 유달부하량 산정의 입력자료가 되는 유역의 경사도, Thiessen 다각형에 의한 강우량, 유역의 COD, TN, TP 발생오염부하량 등의 자료를 산정하였다. 수집·생성된 자료를 분석한 결과, 새만금 유역은 하천 상류유역을 제외하면 대부분이 완만한 평야지대로 g여성되어 있으며, 인구 및 산업시설은 전주, 익산 지역에 집중되어 있는 반면 축산농가는 전 유역에 광범위하게 산재되어 있는 것으로 파악되었다.

수질오염총량 단위유역의 유량조건별 수체 손상 평가를 위한 부하지속곡선 적용성 연구 (Application Load Duration Curve for Evaluation of Impaired Watershed at TMDL Unit Watershed in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study was evaluated on the applicability of Load Duration Curve Method (LDC Method) using HSPF watershed model and sampling data for efficient TMDLs in Korea. The LDC Method was used for assessment pollutant characteristics in watershed and water quality variation in each water flow level. Load Duration Curve is applied for judge the level of impaired water-body and can be estimated the impaired level by pollutant, such as BOD, T-N, and T-P in this study depending on variation of stream flow. As a result, BOD, T-P was usually exceed the standard value at low flow and dry hydrologic period. Improvement of effluent concentration from WWTP and riparian buffer protection zone are effective to improve the water quality. T-N showed the worst condition at mid-range hydrologic period and moist hydrologic period. Therefore, soil erosion control program and BMPs for non-point source pollution control is effective for recovery the water quality, which can be useful method for management of water quality in the plan of recovery water quality spontaneously. Applicability of LDC Method was evaluated in the Nakbon A watershed. However, we need to consider more detailed and accumulated data set such as accurate GIS data and detail pollution data, and WWTP discharge water quality data for accurate evaluation of watershed. Overall, The LDC Method is adequate for evaluation of watersheds characteristics, and its application is recommended for watershed management and TMDL Implementation.

Characteristics of Pollutant Loading in Namdae-cheon Watershed

  • Nonpoint source pollutant loading from watershed may cause a problem to the water quality of the reservoir and stream. The characteristics of stream flow and water quality were monitored to investigate the runoff loading of the Namdae-cheon watershed from May in 1999 to October in 2003. Stage-discharge rating curve at the stream gauging site was established, and annual stream runoff of the study watershed was estimated as 499.4∼1,330.8mm during four years. The concentrations of total-nitrogen and total-phosphorus of stream water quality ranged from 0.76 to 6.95mg/L and from 0.0010 to 0.2276 mg/L, respectively, where T-N was generally higher than the water quality standard 1.0 mg/L for agricultural water use. The loads by unit generation of pollutant mass with respect to population, livestock, land use in this watershed were calculated. The runoff pollutant loadings by concentrations of total-N and total-P were estimated during study period, where the annual runoff loading of total-P was much less than the load by pollutant mass unit generation. The relations between stream discharge and water quality were analysed, and there was a high correlation for total-N but low for total-P. These results will be used to develop the monitoring techniques and water quality management system of agricultural watershed.

기계장비의 구조 특성 예측 시뮬레이터 (Simulator of Accuracy Prediction for Developing Machine Structures)

  • This paper presents current state of the prediction simulator of structural characteristics of machinery equipment accuracy. Developed accuracy prediction simulator proceeds and estimates the structural analysis between the designer and simulator through the internet for convenience of designer. 3D CAD model which is input to the accuracy prediction simulator would simplified by the process of removing the small hole, fillet and chamfer. And the structural surface joints would be presented as the spring elements and damping elements for the structural analysis. The structural analysis of machinery equipment joints, containing rotary motion unit, linear motion unit, mounting device and bolted joint, are presented using Finite Element Method and their experiment. Finally, a general method is presented to tune the static stiffness at a rotation joint considering the whole machinery equipment system by interactive use of Finite Element Method and static load experiment.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a circuit consisting of a simmer power supply unit and a series trigger unit that can be applicable to xenon lamp driving. An LCC resonant converter based on the continuous conduction mode (CCM) is applied to the simmer circuit and by using the current output control it is possible to maintain the ionization of the lamp which has the negative resistance load characteristic. At the same time, in order to generate a high voltage, a series trigger circuit which has a number of capacitors and diodes is designed. The generated high trigger output voltage could ionize the xenon gas. This paper explains the configuration and features of the integrated circuit system, and verifies the proposed design and stable operation of the xenon lamp. The experimental and simulation results show the not only rationality but also stability of the proposed circuit.

RTK GPS를 이용한 대형구조물의 실시간 경보 시스템 (Real Time Alarm System of Enormous Structure Using RTK GPS)

  • 교량, 빌딩, 댐, 타워 등대형의 사회기반 구조물들은 하중이나 지반 등에 의해 변형을 일으켜 왔거나 다른 외부원인에 의해 운동한다 이러한 규칙적이거나 불규칙적 인 거동은 구조물뿐만 아니 라 이를 이용하는 사용자의 안전을 위협하고 있다. 구조물에 작용하는 자체의 하중이나 이들 하중에 의한 반응의 모니터링은 구조물의 거동을 확인하는데 도움을 줄 수 있다. RTK GPS(Real-Time Kinematic Global Positioning System)는 한점 고정에 의해 실시간 상대위치관측방식으로 고정밀도 관측을 수 초 안에 신속히 수행할 수 있기 때문에 교량 등 대형구조물의 거동을 모니터링 하는데 유용한 방법으로 대두되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 대형구조물의 거동을 모니터링하는 시스템을 구축하기 위해서 GPS 측위방법중 RTK GPS방법을 이용하여 현수교 주탑의 거동을 측량함에 있어, 먼저 GPS에 의한 정확한 위치를 분석하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 RTK GPS를 이용한 모니 터 링 경보 시스템을 개발하였다. 개발된 시스템으로 관측한 결과와 비교하여, X축은 1mm, Y축은 1mm, Z축은 2.2mm로서 GPS방법을 이용한 구조물 모니터링 측량이 가능함을 입증할 수 있었다.

합류식 하수관거 월류수 처리를 위한 와류형 분리장치의 최적 운전조건 (Optimal Operating Condition of Vortex Separator for Combined Sewer Overflows Treatment)

  • A combined sewer system can quickly drain both storm water and sewage, improve the living environment and resolve flood measures. A combined sewer system is much superior to separate sewer system in reduction of the non-point source pollutant load. However, during rainfall. it is impossible in time, space and economic terms to cope with the entire volume of storm water. A sewage system that exceeds the capacity of the sewer facilities drain into the river mixed with storm-water. In addition, high concentration of CSOs by first-flush increase pollution load and reduce treatment efficiency in sewage treatment plant. The aim of this study was to develope a processing unit for the removal of high CSOs concentrations in relation to water quality during rainfall events in a combined sewer. The most suitable operational design for processing facilities under various conditions was also determined. With a designed discharge of 19.89 m/min, the removal efficiency was good, without excessive overflow, but it was less effective in relation to underflow, and decreased with decreasing particle size and specific gravity. It was necessary to lessen radius of vortex separator for increasing inlet velocity in optimum range for efficient performance, and removal efficiency was considered to high because of rotation increases through enlargement of comparing height of vortex separator in diameter. By distribution of influent particle size, the actual turbulent flow and experimental results was a little different from the theoretical removal efficiency due to turbulent effect in device.

건물옥상 식재용 콘크리트공법의 개발 (Development of Concrete Method for Roof Planting)

  • This paper is dealing with the fundamental properties of planting concrete, replacing the existing cover concrete on the roof of a building. This study is to find out the physical characteristics of the planting concrete and rearing characteristics of the grass throughout the modeling experimental materials. As the results of the experiment, the physical properties of planting concrete show the following results; when the paste to aggregate ratio is 0.2~ 0.4, voids volume : 30~17%, unit weight: 1,710~2,010kg/m3, compressive strength : 45~145kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$, its pH is more than 11, but is reduced to the proper degree for planting after being neutralized. Kentucky bluegrass covered with planting concrete is grown well. The planting concrete used with blast furnace slag cement shows a better properties at the height, the width and the covering rate by 1.1cm, 0.5mm and 7%, respectively, than those used with ordinary portland cement. Also, the less the paste to aggregate ratio is, the better the plant grows. The orders of the effects of temperature control are as follows; the system of planting concrete with grass>the system of planting concrete without grass>the system of mixed soil>the existed roof system. In case, the planting concrete is placed to the roofs of buildings instead of normal concrete slab, and a number of favorable effect can be expected such as the improvement os environmental factors, the reduction of construction cost, the saving of energy and the reduction of environment load. The future research on the change of a variety of the aggregate conditions and the application of the practical structures should be made, and also the research of the endurance also be performed.

참조기 유자망어업에 있어서 그물실의 굵기 변화에 따른 어획성능 특성 (Characteristics on the fishing performance of a drift net for yellow croaker (Larimichthys polyactis) in accordance with the thickness of a net twine)

  • The objective of this study is to estimate the optimal net twine thickness of drift net for yellow croaker. The filed experiments of the fishing performance were conducted with three kinds of drift net with different monofilament diameters (No.3=0.284mm, No.4=0.330mm, No.5=0.370mm) the total eight times in the southwest coastal sea of Korea. And the physical properties tests on the monofilaments of experimental net were carried out to estimated breaking load and softness in dry and wet conditions, respectively. From the results, the No.3 mono. was the strongest break load per unit area in dry and wet conditions. And the softness showed that the No. 3 mono. was the most soft than another experimental monofilaments. The fishing performance was; the No. 3 drift net showed the most catches. Conversely, the catches of No. 4 and No. 5 drift net showed the half on the catches of No. 3 drift net. Consequently, the diameter of monofilament in the drift net for yellow croaker should carefully choose to consider the economic sides such as the amount of catches and the cost of catches.

Control of Advanced Reactor-coupled Heat Exchanger System: Incorporation of Reactor Dynamics in System Response to Load Disturbances

  • Alternative control schemes for an Advanced High Temperature Reactor system consisting of a reactor, an intermediate heat exchanger, and a secondary heat exchanger (SHX) are presented in this paper. One scheme is designed to control the cold outlet temperature of the SHX ($T_{co}$) and the hot outlet temperature of the intermediate heat exchanger ($T_{ho2}$) by manipulating the hot-side flow rates of the heat exchangers ($F_h/F_{h2}$) responding to the flow rate and temperature disturbances. The flow rate disturbances typically require a larger manipulation of the flow rates than temperature disturbances. An alternate strategy examines the control of the cold outlet temperature of the SHX ($T_{co}$) only, since this temperature provides the driving force for energy production in the power conversion unit or the process application. The control can be achieved by three options: (1) flow rate manipulation; (2) reactor power manipulation; or (3) a combination of the two. The first option has a quicker response but requires a large flow rate change. The second option is the slowest but does not involve any change in the flow rates of streams. The third option appears preferable as it has an intermediate response time and requires only a minimal flow rate change.
