유연생산 시스템 구축을 위한 공작물 자동교환 유닛의 수평 이송 기구 설계에 관한 연구(파트 2) (A Study on the Design of Horizontal Traverse Units in an Automatic Object Changer Unit to Establish a Flexible Production System (Part 2))

  • The objective of this study is to develop an automatic object changer unit to improve processing problems existed in the conventional horizontal machining center. To achieve this goal, this study designed a horizontal transfer as the second project continued to the first project that designed a upward and downward traverse unit. A horizontal traverse unit shows a symmetric structure and consists of frame, which consists of four unit tools, motor and reducer, which are fixed at a frame, operation unit with pinions, first traverse unit, and second traverse unit. Constraint conditions based on the operation mechanism with these elements were configured and obtained following results after modeling a model for a traverse motor. In the kinematic expression of sliding motion with one degree of freedom, the sliding motion is constrained. Also, the rack 3 installed at a frame is used to configure possible kinematic constraint conditions of the rack 2 according to the rolling motion of the pinion 2 in the first traverse unit. In addition, the moment of inertia that is a type of kinetic energy in a converted horizontal traverse unit in the side of the reducer can be applied to introduce the moment of inertia of a converted horizontal traverse unit in the side of the reducer by using the sum of kinetic energy in the rack and pinion, which is a part of the horizontal traverse unit. Also, the equation of motion of the converted upward and downward traverse unit in the side of the motor using the equation of motion of the motor. Furthermore, the horizontal traverse unit predetermines the mass of the first and second traverse unit and applied load including the radius and reduction ratio of the pitch circle in the pinion 1 and applied load to the rack 2. Then, a proper motor can be determined using several parameters in the upward and downward traverse unit in order to verify such predetermined specifications. In future studies later this study, a simulation that verifies the results of the previous two stages of studies using a finite element method.

방수·방근시트와 옥상녹화 박스유닛 시스템의 일체화를 위한 전자기 유도가열 융착 고정구의 부착성능 (Adhesion Performance of Electromagnetic Induction Heating Pixture for the Integration with a Waterproof & Root Barrier Sheet and a Roof Green Unit System)

  • 기존의 다층으로 구성되어 시공성이 낮은 옥상녹화 공법의 개선을 위해 개발한 방수 방근 시트 일체화 옥상녹화박스 유닛공법의 일체화를 위해 사용하는 전자기 유도가열방식의 금속 고정구와 콘 형상 고정구의 부착성능을 평가하기 위해 엔지니어링 PE, TPO, PVC 시트 등 3종류의 시트에 가열온도에 따른 부착성능 및 동일한 시험체로 냉열반복 후 부착성능을 측정하였다, 그 결과는 엔지니어링 PE시트에 부착한 고정구의 부착성능이 가장 우수하게 나타났으며, 금속고정구는 가열온도가 올라갈수록, 콘 형상 고정구는 가열온도가 낮을수록 우수한 부착성능을 보여주었고, 냉열 반복 후 부착시험 결과는 상온 부착시험 결과와 동일하게 나타났다. 기존의 양면 부틸테이프 고정방식의 콘 형상 고정구는 낮은 부착하중과 냉열반복에 의한 뚜렷한 성능저하가 발생하는데 비하여 전자기 유도가열방식의 고정구는 우수한 성능을 유지하였다.

교통관련 포장지역 비점오염원에서의 오염물질 유출원단위 산정 (Determination of Pollutant Unit Loads from Various Transportation Landuses)

  • Human activities and land-use practices are intensely widening the urban areas. High impervious surface areas cover much of urban landscapes and are the primary pollutant sources which can lead to water quality and habitat degradation in its watershed. As the urban areas expand, transportation land-use such as parking lots, roads, service areas, toll-gates in highways and bridges also increase. These land-uses are significant in urban pollution due to high imperviousness rate and vehicular activities. To regulate the environmental impacts and to improve the water quality of rivers and lakes, the Ministry of Environment (MOE) in Korea developed the Total Pollution Load Management System (TPLMS) program. The main objective is to lead the watershed for a low impact development. On a local scale, some urban land surfaces can be emitting more pollution than others. Consequently, in urban areas, the unit loads are commonly employed to estimate total pollutant loadings emitted from various land-uses including residential, commercial, industrial, transportation, open lands such as parks and golf courses, and other developed land like parking areas as a result of development. In this research, unit pollutant loads derived specifically from transportation land-uses (i.e. branched out from urban areas) will be provided. Monitoring was conducted over 56 storm events at nine monitoring locations during three years. Results for the unit pollutant loads of transportation land-use are determined to be $399.5kg/km^2-day$ for TSS, $12.3kg/km^2-day$ for TN and $2.46kg/km^2-day$ for TP. The values are higher than those of urban areas in Korean MOE and US highways. These results can be used by MOE to separate the pollutant unit load of transportation landuses from urban areas.

수질오염총량관리제 실효성 제고를 위한 제도개선 및 추진 방향 (Improvement and Implementation to Enhance the Effectiveness of the Total Pollution Load Control System)

  • After the implementation of the total pollution load control system, the effect of improving river water quality by expanding investments in basic environmental facilities, inducing operational efficiency, and reducing the load of various pollutants was clear. However, since the implementation of the system, the management of non-point pollutants has been neglected; management focused on specific substances (biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) and total phosphorus (T-P)) and lacked specific cause analysis and action plans, failed to establish a relationship between water quality and pollution load, failed to reflect stakeholder demands for river water quality management, and failed to apply technical conditions. Therefore, to overcome the limitations raised and achieve a practical and efficient advanced total pollution system, the current system was partially improved and will continue to be improved. This study analyzed the performance and limitations of the total pollution system and introduced recent improvements and the contents that are being improved. The main contents included reducing emissions and reduction monitoring, using water quality tele-monitoring system (TMS) data and self-measurement data, adding population-inducing facilities, and adjusting regional development projects from 20 to 30 multi-family housing units, currentizing each pollutant source according to the roadmap. If the system is improved in a developmental direction and responds to various changes, it will be a more practical and effective policy.

해양구조물 움직임에 따른 Topside Module의 HPU에 대한 구조안전성 평가 (Structural Safety Evaluation for the Hydraulic Power Unit of Topside Module According to the Movement of Offshore Plant)

  • 해양플랜트는 발주처와 선급에서 요구하는 다양한 항목들을 설계할 시에 반영하여야 한다. 특히, 해양구조물에 탑재되는 Topside Module의 경우 육상플랜트와는 다르게 공간적 제약이 크고 구조물의 움직임과 같은 해상 환경조건 및 안전과 관련된 요구사항들이 많아 그 설계 과정이 매우 까다롭다. 본 연구에서는 Topside Module에 들어가는 주요장비 중 하나인 HPU(Hydraulic Power Unit) 구조물에 작용하는 하중을 DNVGL 규칙에 따라 계산하고, 각 하중조건에 따른 구조안전성 평가를 진행하였고 개발된 제품의 구조 신뢰성을 향상하고자 하였다. 구조해석은 범용프로그램인 MSC 소프트웨어를 사용하였고, 총 5가지 하중 조건으로 구조해석을 진행하여 다양한 움직임에 대한 안전성을 검토하였다. 그 결과 선미 방향 Pitching 상태(Load Case 5)에서 최대 응력이 발생하였고, 응력 수준은 허용응력의 약 85 % 수준이고, 최대변위는 허용치의 약 5 % 수준으로 구조안전성이 확인되었으며 부재 간 간섭은 발생하지 않았다.

  • 유니트로드를 복수의 층으로 쌓아 저장하는 적재장에서 적재 능력을 높이면 1개가 차지하는 유니트로드의 소요공간은 줄어드나, 적재층이 높아지게 되면 특정 대상 유니트로드를 인출하는데 발생되는 재취급으로 인하여 인출에 따른 작업 시간은 늘어나게 되어 취급비용은 증가한다. 일반적으로 유니트로드를 적재하는 적재장에는 재취급의 발생이 불가피하다. 따라서 다양한 적재형태의 적재장에서 최하층 열의 수, 컬럼, 적재층을 변화 시켜가면서, 임의의 유니트로드를 인출 할 때 발생하는 기대 취급수를 측정하는 식을 유도한다. 유도된 식을 이용하여 다양한 적재형태들 에 대해서 기대 취급수를 서로 비교한다.

Introduction of Generator Unit Controller and Its Tuning for Automatic Generation Control in Korean Energy Management System (K-EMS)

  • Automatic generation control (AGC) is an important function for load frequency control, which is being implemented in Energy Management System (EMS). A key feature of AGC is to back up governors to enhance the performance of frequency control. The governor regulates system frequency in several to ten seconds, while the droop control concept results in steady-state control error. AGC is a supplementary tool for compensation of the steady-state error caused by the droop setting of the governors. As the AGC target is delivered to each generator as an open loop control target, the generator output is not guaranteed to follow the AGC target. In this paper, we introduce generating unit controller (GUC) control block, which has the purpose of enabling the generator output to track the AGC target while maintaining the governor performance. We also address the tuning methods of GUC for better performance of AGC in the Korea Energy Management System (K-EMS).

  • In this paper, we design COMS system bus that the 1553 Data Bus is able to link all the units of the satellite managed by the SCU using one Prime Data Bus and on Redundant Data Bus. Also we analyze MIL-STD-1553B bus load and relevant exchange memory budgets in system bus of the COMS satellite. This data is used in the satellite mission and software design by system engineer.

  • This paper represents a new method for computing reliability indices by using Large Deviation method which is one of the probabilistic production cost simulations. The reliability measures are based on the models used for the loads and for the generating unit failure states. In computing these measures it has been tacitly assumed that the values of all parameters in the models are precisely known. In fact, however, some of these values must often be chosen with a considerable degree of uncertainty involved. This is particularly true for the forecast peak loads in the load model, where there is an inherent uncertainty in the method of forecasting, which are frequently based on insufficient statistics. In this paper, the effect of load forecasting uncertainty on the LOLP(Loss of Load Probability), is investigated. By applying the Large Deviation method to the IEEE Rilability Test System, it is verified that the proposed method is generally very accurate and very fast for computing system reliability indices.

정보통신용 다병렬 운전의 모듈식 무정전전원장치 (Module UPS of multi-parallel operation for use in information & telecommunication systems)

  • The reliability as well as the power capability of the UPS system can be increased by replacing a single UPS unit with multiple small UPS units in parallel, resulting in a so-called module UPS. This module UPS system allows that a new module can be added or replaced while maintaining power to loads, which is a hot-swappable operation. In addition, it has desirable features such as ease of output power expandability, convenience of maintenance and repair, and high reliability. To realize the module UPS, load sharing without interconnection among parallel connecting modules as well as a small scale and lightweight topology is necessary. The frequency and voltage droop method is applied to parallel operation control to achieve load sharing. 5kVA modules are designed and implemented to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approaches. Experimental results show that the module UPS system has a high power factor, a low distortion of output voltage and input current, hot-swappable operations and good load sharing characteristics.
