  • Siphonophores are unique, gelatinous zooplankton, which many individuals gather and live like one "Superorganism". The role of individuals in the colony differs greatly depending on their morphological difference, making them more unique. In this study, we report four species belonging to Diphyidae Quoy and Gaimard, 1827 sampled from the South Sea and off Jeju Island, Korea. Two Chelophyes Totton, 1932 (C. appendiculata (Eschscholtz, 1829); C. contorta (Lens and van Riemsdijk, 1908)) and two Eudoxoides Huxley, 1859 (E. mitra (Huxley, 1859); E. spiralis (Bigelow, 1911)) species are described with multi-focus stacked digital images. Our findings update the confirmed order Siphonophorae Eschscholtz, 1829 in Korea to be three suborders, five families, eight genera, and 13 species. In addition, we summarize the synonyms and global distributions of these four newly recorded species in Korean waters.

  • Weak Crossed Product Algebras correspond to certain graphs called lower subtractive graphs. The properties of such algebras can be obtained by studying this kind of graphs ([4], [5]). In [1], the author showed that a weak crossed product is Frobenius and its restricted subalgebra is symmetric if and only if its associated graph has a unique maximal vertex. A special construction of these graphs came naturally and was known as standard lower subtractive graph. It was a deep question that when such a special graph possesses unique maximal vertex? This work is to answer the question partially and to give a particular characterization for such graphs at which the corresponding algebras are isomorphic. A graph that follows the mentioned characterization is called flexible. Flexibility is to some extend a generalization of the so-called Coxeter groups and its weak Bruhat ordering.

  • The unique sulphated phenolics, gallic acid 3-methyl ether 5-potassium sulphate, isoferulic acid 3-potassium sulphate, and ellagic acid 4,4'-dimethyl ether 3-potassium sulphate have been isolated from the flowers of Tamarix amplexicaulis Ehrenb. (Tamaricaceae). The hitherto unknown natural phenolic acid, gallic acid 3-methyl ether, together with the known phenolic, gallic acid, gallic acid 4-methyl ether, isoferulic acid, ferulic acid, ellagic acid, and ellagic acid 4,4'-dimethyl ether have been also separated and characterized. The structures were established by conventional methods, including electrophoretic analysis and confirmed by ESI-MS, $^1H-\;and\;^{13}C-NMR$.

  • In this study we are concerned with the problem of approximating a locally unique solution of an equation in a Banach space setting using Newton's and modified Newton's methods. We provide weaker convergence conditions for both methods than before [5]-[7]. Then, we combine Newton's with the modified Newton's method to approximate locally unique solutions of operator equations. Finer error estimates, a larger convergence domain, and a more precise information on the location of the solution are obtained under the same or weaker hypotheses than before [5]-[7]. The results obtained here improve our earlier ones reported in [4]. Numerical examples are also provided.

  • Tilting train improves a traveling velocity through giving a tilt the car-body without ride comfort deterioration in curve. Dynamic behavior in acceleration or deceleration will show quite another feature in constant velocity. In this study, we see through the dynamic behavior due to a variation of tractive force and braking force in Korean Tilting Train. Hence we compose of 3D dynamic model, as well as we check upon the property in service tractive condition and unique tractive condition with a fault motor. Besides we check upon the property in service braking condition and unique braking condition with a fault system. This study has the meaning with reference data of developing Korean Tilting Train test traveling.

  • Traditional taxonomic methods used for the identification and differentiation of ginsengs rely primarily on morphological observations or physiochemical methods, which cannot be used efficiently when only powdered forms or shredded material is available. Randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) was used to determine the unique DNA profiles that are characteristic not only of the genus Panax but also of various Panax subgroups collected from five different countries. RAPD results of OP-5A primer showed a specific single band that is characteristic of all ginseng samples. RAPD results of OP-13B primer demonstrated that OP-13B primer could be used as a unique RAPD marker to differentiate Panax species. These results support that this approach could be applied to distinguish Korean Ginseng (Panax ginseng) from others at the molecular level.

  • Among the diverse apartment brand TV Ads, KCC Switzen uses a unique advertising strategy. Unlike their competitors, KCC Switzen uses a strategy without fancy rhetoric such as luxury, premium or high-tech to enhance the value of their housing. In order to define the value of contemporary housing this paper analyses the socio-cultural messaging of KCC Switzen's television advertisements using Qualitative content analysis and Floch's Semiotic Square of Consumption Values method. As a result of this analysis, KCC Switzen's advertisements are shown to contain both intrinsic values of housing and cultural humanism by asking ablout the daily lives of real families and their relationships with neighbors. This directly contrasts with the standard advertisements that focus on the investment value of residential housing. The unique KCC Switzen advertising strategies are expected to change the paradigm of residential housing.

  • Employing the covariance adjustment technique, we show that in the system of two seemingly unrelated multivariate regressions the estimator of regression coefficients can be expressed as a matrix power series, and conclude that the matrix series only has a unique simpler form. In the case that the covariance matrix of the system is unknown, we define a two-stage estimator for the regression coefficients which is shown to be unique and unbiased. Numerical simulations are also presented to illustrate its superiority over the ordinary least square estimator. Also, as an example we apply our results to the seemingly unrelated growth curve models.

  • Storytelling marketing is attracting attention as a customer-oriented brand communication activity in an over-competitive marketing environment that is overflowing with products and without specification of brand and products. This case study is researched for USP strategies in terms of excitability, storytelling, and interactivity, which are components of storytelling marketing to positively interact with customers for effective and sustained competition. And this research could be helped effective and sustained competition for brand and productions.

  • There is a unique method of musical expression in the nature documentary. The expression method is Mickey Mousing technique, which expresses the movement of animals with music. The Mickey mousing technique can also be used in other types of documentaries, but it is most prominently used in nature documentaries. The Mickey Mousing technique cannot be used in any field other than music composition, because the composer should describe the movement of animals by playing music to match the animal's movements exactly. It is also because they have to play the instrument separately according to the sound source. In this study, we examined the nature documentaries broadcast by KBS over the last five years and analyzed the cases of Mickey Mousing technique. Therefore, we obtained research results that the Mickey Mousing technique is necessary and that the music composition is also necessary as a background music of nature documentaries.
