중소하천유역에 있어서의 유효강우량 및 설계수문곡선 결정에 관한 연구 - 특히 SCS 방법을 중심으로 -

  • 본 연구는 중소하천유역에 있어서 미국토양보유국(V.S. Soil Conservation Service)의 SCS방법과 $\Phi$-Index 방법과를 비교하면서 유효유량을 산정하고 또한 설계수문곡선의 첨두유량을 산정하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 낙동강유역에 속한 신천유역은 UNESCO의 주관아래 국제수문개발계획 대표시험유역으로 채택되었던 유역으로서 그 중요성이 크다고 생각하여 SCS방법의 통용을 위하여 토양군의 분류에 따른 토지이용 및 처리상태와 토양의 분류, 토양의 종류 등을 파악하여 유출수를 구하였다. 그리고 주요호우의 총우량-유효우량 관계자료에 의한 평균유출수와 비교해본 결과 SCS방법의 유출수가 적게 나타났으며, 신천유역의 5개시측소의 강우자료로부터 $\Phi$-Index법에 의한 유효우량과도 비교하였다. 한편 설계수문곡선의 첨두유량은 SCS법, Chow법, 및 Mockus법과 비교해 본 결과 SCS방법 중 무차원수문곡선에 의한 SCS단위도법이 실측치에 가장 가까운 적합성을 보여 주었다.

Cultural Goods Development with Hahoe Village Motif (하회마을을 모티브로 한 문화상품 디자인 개발)

  • This article is to develop test product as adopting motifs from Andong Hahoe Village registered in the UNESCO World Heritage. This study associates physiographic features and images of Hahoe Village with test product. In the research result of this study, the value of product and possibility of success of test product was found as follows. Firstly, Making the puzzle-oriented Desk Service Hahoe Village views by using 22 different styles & functional artworks. Secondly, Producing the tangible forms such as a tree, thatched cottage, arbor, tile-roofed house and ferryboat by casting technique. Thirdly, Designing the shape of the terrain by utilizing computer programing softwares such as CAD drawings and ARTCAM. Finally, Developing the mass-produce goods reflecting region historical and cultural characteristics. I expect this study may increase of interest of our country's culture and play several roles of the bridgehead for product development. Also I reconsider sensitivity recovery of users and our cultural value increase.

  • The annals of Joseon Dynasty is one of UNESCO's Memory of the World Register. For the safety preservation of the waxed annals of Joseon Dynasty, the acidic and alkaline aging mechanism of beeswax and beeswaxed Hanji has been investigated. The weight loss of beeswaxed Hanji by the acidic aging was higher than those of alkaline beeswax. The acid value and relative intensity of carbonyl groups in beeswax were slowly increased with aging time. The strength of dewaxed Hanji was decreased with aging time. The significant changes of crystallinity of dewaxed Hanji by acidic and alkaline aging were not observed.

  • The demilitarized zone (DMZ) covered about 1, 528 $\textrm{km}^2$ (length, 248 km; width, about 4 km), and the civilian control line (CCL) was established around the DMZ after the Korean War. The international organizations (UNESCO and IUCN) showed a continued interests on the biodiversity of the DMZ area, because of relatively well preserved environment and lack of anthropogenic disturbances other than agricultural practice (KFRI, 2000).   • 한국산업기술시험원은 1966년 4월 국내 정밀기기산업과 전자산업 육성을 위하여 우리정부와 UNESCO(유엔교육과학문화기구)가 공동 설립한 한국정밀기기센터(FIC)로 발족했다. 1989년 10월 한국생산기술연구원 부설 품질평가센터로 개편된 이후 1999년 3월 한국산업기술평가원 부설 산업기술시험원으로 개편되었고, 2006년 11월 한국산업기술시험원(KTL)으로 독립법인화되었다. 현재는 기술혁신 성과물의 시험 평가와 기술개발 등의 효율적 지원을 위한 적합성평가와 관련 R&D를 수행하고 있는 종합 시험 평가기관으로 성장을 계속하고 있다. 남궁민 한국산업기술시험원 원장으로부터 그 동안의 성과와 앞으로의 비전에 대해 들어보았다.

Re-production of Digital Cultural Heritage and Acquisition of Two Dimensional Drawing Maps for the Cultural Heritage by the Reverse Engineering Technology

  • After the 'Guidelines for the preservation of digital heritage' were published by UNESCO, interests in the fabrication of digital cultural heritage have been increasing throughout the world. The present study was intended to fabricate digital cultural heritages for existing cultural properties using the reverse engineering technology and obtain two-dimensional drawings. Jinju Castle Gongbukmun, which is a cultural property, was selected as a study subject and 3D modeling of Jinju Castle Gongbukmun was conducted by implementing 3D scanning and processing the point cloud data. Using the Gongbukmun 3D model (3D-Gongbukmun) made as such, requirements as a digital heritage were reviewed and 2D drawings of Gongbukmun such as front views, ground plans, and side views could be prepared.

  • In this article, we present some derived subjects from the concept of ICT-based DPD concept for the safety of folk villages in both Korea and Japan. First, our deduced topic would rather be a monitoring system design of structures in folk villages. We, therefore, offer an integrated model of maintenance and management monitoring scheme. As another research subject, we submit safety sign or sign system installed in traditional towns and their standardization. We have draw up a plan to make signs upgrade applied to folk villages in Korea and Japan. According to our investigations, we should suggest and focus on flood in the area of traditional town in Korea. We present a water-level expectation model using deep learning simulation. We have applied this method to the area of 'Andong Hahoe' village which had been registered on World Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. The final goal of our research is to propose and realize an integrated disaster prevention and/or safety system based on big data concepts for both Korea and Japan.

Coping with Violence in the Thai-Cambodian Border: The Silence of the Border

  • The recent listing of Preah Vihear Temple as a World Heritage Site has awakened a longtime simmering border dispute between Thailand and Cambodia over a few square kilometers surrounding the ancient Khmer Temple. While the listing of the site by UNESCO was expected to revive the economy of the impoverished border towns near the temple due to the increased tourism and funding for the preservation of the archeological site, it has had the opposite effect due to the sharp increase in violent conflict carried out by the armed forces and nationalist activists from both sides. Military skirmishes and violent protests have brought the local economy to a halt in addition to causing considerable physical damage to the local infrastructure and to the local transnational network of ethnic Kui, local business owners, Khmer and Thai villagers. This paper shows how the dispute is viewed and undertaken by three distinct communities involved in the conflict, the militaries, the metropolitan political elites and activists, and the local villagers. The three communities represent three different cultures of conflict with different interests and most importantly with differential access to the media and official representations of the dispute.

  • UN은 1990년대를 전세계적인 자연재해 감소를 위한 10년(IDNDR)으로 지정하고 이러한 취지로 제네바에 사무국을 개설했다. 그에 대한 반응으로 국제 과학 연합회는 IGU를 통해 여러 지역에서의 지리적 연구를 지원하고 있다. IGU는 1992년에 개최된 제 27차 IGC에서 자연재해연구 분과를 개설하여 지리학에 있어서 새로운 기술을 개발하는데 강조를 두는 다양한 자연재해 프로젝트에 지리학자들을 포함시키려는 노력을 시작했다. 지리학자들은 IDNDR에 중요한 공헌을 하고 있는데, 특히 재해 관리를 위한 GIS의 영역과 지도화와 재해 평가를 위한 원격탐사, 재해 반응에 대한 GPS의 이용 등이 이에 포함된다. 지리학자들은 지도화와 재해를 경감시키려는 노력에 중요한 역할을 하고 있으며, 이미 재해를 입은 지역에 대해 복구 계획을 세우고 있다. CONAHA는 2000년에 서울에서 개최되는 제 29차 IGU에서 UN에 의해 시작된 안건을 지지하게 됨으로 그 역할을 마무리하게 될 것이다. 영구적인 공헌 중에는 1998년에 산악 재해에 관한 발간을 시작으로 자연재해에 관한 책 시리즈와 UNESCO에 의해 발간된 Life Systems 백과사전 내용 중 자연재해에 대한 부분이 포함된다는 것이다

  • This first part of a series provides some data on the quick growth, high importance and increasing cost of scientific research which leads to a doubling of the amount of research literature in about every eight years. The importance of periodicals is emphasized and some figures on the growth of abstract journals demonstrate how difficult it has become for the scientist to keep up with the current development in his subject field without using documentation. The second part, in KORSTIC's next issue, deals with the scope and methods of scientific documentation, the third part with the devices and machines for information processing and with the problem of automation, whilst the fourth part throws some light on the organization of documentation work all around the world.
