대규모 아파트단지 외부보행공간의 계획특성에 관한 적합성 평가 연구 (A Study on the Suitability of Characteristics for Planning of Exterior Pedestrian Spaces in Large-scale Apartment Complexes)

  • Lately construction companies are differentiating the outdoor spaces of apartment complexes to satisfy the needs of residents by providing underground parking area and variety of outdoor community spaces. Building walking networks through residential unit area, the major passage area and the entrance area of the complexes is very important factor to increase the use of the outdoor environment in the complexes. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the characteristics and the elements for the planning of exterior pedestrian spaces carefully through the analysis of current large-scale apartment complexes. In this study, the utilization of space, the connectivity to other spaces and the application of Universal design were evaluated through site visits in 5 large-scale apartment complexes. As a result, the utilization of space is well applied in the most of complexes especially in residential unit area. The connectivity to other spaces has low application compared to the others. Universal design is also well applied except sub criteria for the blind in most of complexes. This study will be able to help in providing better exterior pedestrian environment for residents in apartment complexes.

지하환경의 대기오염물질 규제에 관한 조사연구 (A Survey of the Air Quality in Underground Environment)

  • The underground living spaces have become one of the major environment of this decade in urban area. This study was carried out to examine contamination level for purpose of preservation of the pleasant underground environment. Three subway stations and three underground shopping centers in Seoul and two underground shopping centers in Busan were selected and surveyed by measuring gaseous pollutants $(SO_2,\; NO_2,\;CO,\;HC,\; HCHO,\;CO_2)$, dust, airborne microbes, and the other air condtions (temperature, humidity, air pressure, air flow, kata cooling power). These examined data were compared with four kinds of standard (building sanitation management, room air quality standards, occupational safety and health standards, ventilation equipment) as environmental hygiene.

Wireless safety monitoring of a water pipeline construction site using LoRa communication

  • Despite efforts to reduce unexpected accidents at confined construction sites, choking accidents continue to occur. Because of the poorly ventilated atmosphere, particularly in long, confined underground spaces, workers are subject to dangerous working conditions despite the use of artificial ventilation. Moreover, the traditional monitoring methods of using portable gas detectors place safety inspectors in direct contact with hazardous conditions. In this study, a long-range (LoRa)-based wireless safety monitoring system that features the network organization, fault-tolerant, power management, and a graphical user interface (GUI) was developed for underground construction sites. The LoRa wireless data communication system was adopted to detect hazardous gases and oxygen deficiency within a confined underground space with adjustable communication range and low power consumption. Fault tolerance based on the mapping information of the entire wireless sensor network was particularly implemented to ensure the reliable operation of the monitoring system. Moreover, a sleep mode was implemented for the efficient power management. The GUI was also developed to control the entire safety-monitoring system and to manage the measured data. The developed safety-monitoring system was validated in an indoor testing and at two full-scale water pipeline construction sites.

지하공간 환경예측 시뮬레이션 개발 연구-핵 폐기물 저장공간 중심으로 (A study on simulation modeling of the underground space environment-focused on storage space for radioactive wastes)

  • 핵폐기물 저장공간과 같이 대규모 터널형 지하공간내에서의 환기량, 온/습도, 오염물질 농도 예측은 공간건설 및 운영을 위하여서 뿐만 아니라 화재등과 같은 비상시의 대처방안 강구를 위하여 반드시 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 압축성 가정하에서 autocompression의 영향을 고려한 자연환기압 계산 fan 및 regulator의 최적 위치 및 용량 결정, 암반 열물성 및 암반 표면으로부터의 증발, 응축에 의한 수분함유량 변화를 고려한 온/습도 계산, 이류확산에 기초한 오염물질 농도 분포 계산 기능을 갖춘 네트워크형 지하공간 환경예측 모델을 개발하였다. 온/습도 예측 모델을 군수물자 지하 저장공간에 적용한 결과 실측값과 상대오차는 건구온도 1.5~2.9%, 습도온도 0.6~6.1%로 나타났다. 도로터널 2개소를 대상으로한 실험결과 외부 입기만에 의한 확산계수는 9.78과 17.35$m^2$/s 큰 편이었으나 차량 운행과 환기설비의 작동시에는 이류확산만을 고려한 경우 CO 및 매연 농도의 상대오차가 5.88과 6.62%로 비교적 작게 나타났다. 이는 대부분의 터널형 지하공간에서의 농도 분포는 이류확산만에 의하여 추정이 가능함을 의미한다.

공동관리 등급에 따른 지반함몰 관리등급제에 대한 연구 (Study on Management System of Ground Sinking Based on Underground Cavity Grade)

  • 도심지가 고도화되고 지상 공간이 포화됨에 따라 지하공간 개발 및 활용이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 이와 동시에 지반함몰 현상, 각종 지하공간 사고 등으로 시민들의 안전이 위협받고 있다. 지반함몰을 방지하기 위하여 지하에 발생한 공동을 탐지하고 공동등급을 설정하여 공동복구 순서 및 위험도를 평가해야 한다. 기존의 일본 간선도로 공동관리 등급은 일본 현지의 기준을 대상으로 하여 국내 지반실정에 적용하기가 적합하지 않다. 최근 국내 실정에 맞게 서울형에서 공동관리 등급이 개발되었으며, 도로 하부지반 및 아스콘 포장층의 상태 등을 추가로 고려하여 공동의 등급을 지정하였다. 본 연구에서는 ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$지역를 대상으로 209개의 공동을 탐사하고, 공동 등급에 따른 공동의 형상을 분석하였다. 또한 일본의 간선도로 공동관리 등급과 새롭게 개발된 서울형 공동관리 등급으로 분류된 결과를 상호 비교하였다. 비교 분석 결과, 일본 간선도로 공동관리 등급기준으로 긴급복구로 분류되 공동들은 상당히 보수적으로 평가되었으며, 이는 일본의 기준이 도로 포장층 두께를 고려하지 않고, 공동의 폭과 토피만을 고려하였기 때문이다.

  • Through the rapid growth of Korea for the effectiveness and rationalization of the use of land the development of the underground land is mostly needed. Especially I think that in the limited country(like Korea) when we consider that the population of metropolitan area is almost a third if a total population of this country it is time that we should consider the method of transfer for using of under ground not of on the ground from the legal or systematic recognition of the land. In this respect it is necessary that the person involved in the urban development (the person for architect urban development landscape architect and adminstratives) should pay much attention to the using of the underground spaces.

  • The paper deals with problems connected with heating and ventilation of underground premises for public use. Some properties of rock and special problems connected with designing ventilation systems for underground spaces are first briefly discussed. The rest of the paper deals with design of ventilation and heating systems. The conclusion is that there are no large problems with heating and ventiliation of underground premises, but there are still problems connected with for instance thermal properties of rock when water flows in the cracks. An optimum design demands better knowledge of these properties.

  • The effective dose of the Seoul subway staffs due to inhaled radon ($^{222}Rn$) in their workplace was investigated depended on radon concentration exposed at each workplace, and working hours and working types of the staffs. Annual average radon concentrations ranged from 16.5 to 93.0 $Bq{\cdot}m^{-3}$. The staffs commonly spend 2,304 hours in the underground spaces a year. With the radon concentrations and the working hours of the staffs, estimated annual effective doses ranged from 0.23 to 0.73 $mSv{\cdot}y^{-1}$.

  • As a demand for underground structure is increasing with more parking and retail spaces required. Various construction methods are reviewed and selected for each specific site for economical and fast construction. In this study, factors for selecting construction methods were categorized for substructure construction. Construction processes of substructure are consisted of methods for excavation, earth retaining systems, and placement of slabs. Factors for the selection of substructure construction method are the condition of surrounding, geotechnical, information and constraint by comfortness for others nearby. After survey for the construction data of 5 different sites, analysis about reliable substructure construction selection method was suggested.

  • In recent years, residential apartment building parking lots are built in underground spaces, and with conjunction to improve the environment of the urban area, artificial greeen roof systems are installed on the upper slabs. However, early plant growth are resulting in root penetration into concrete cracks and in turn into the waterproofing membranes, leading to degradation and damaging of the waterproofing system and structural durability. This issue highlights a problem of conventional maintenance system of concrete structures, and proposals for amendments follow. In this study, a waterproofing and root barrier construction design for the upper slabs of residential building underground parking lots is proposed, and motioned to be added into future construction specifications.
