To investigate the damage on the black pine(Pinus thunbergii) by the air pollution around Ulsan Industrial Complex, forty-six plots were set up and the effects of air pollution were evaluated with the injured index of black pine. The injured index of black pine showing the degree of air pollution from 1987 to 1988 indicated that the central area of Yeochun-dong and Youngjam-dong were heavily damaged. The effective indicaters of black pine damage from air pollution in the order of importance were the color change of one-year-old branch, the ratio of fallen needle of two-year-old branch, the degree of reducing needle, and the degree of growing shoot growth. There was a reliable relationship between the content of $SO_3$ and F in the air and the injured index of black pine. There was no significant correlation between the injured index of the black pine and the content of chemical properties in soil.

Extensive surgical resection of the aerodigestive track can result in a large and complex defect of the oropharynx, which represents a significant reconstructive challenge for the plastic surgery. Development of microsurgical techniques has allowed for free flap reconstruction of oropharyngeal defects, with superior outcomes as well as decreases in postoperative complications. The reconstructive goals for oral and oropharyngeal defects are to restore the anatomy, to maintain continuity of the intraoral surface and oropharynx, to protect vital structures such as carotid arteries, to cover exposed portions of internal organs in preparation for adjuvant radiation, and to preserve complex functions of the oral cavity and oropharynx. Oral and oropharyngeal cancers should be treated with consideration of functional recovery. Multidisciplinary treatment strategies are necessary for maximizing disease control and preserving the natural form and function of the oropharynx.

The fire in Ulsan in 2020 was a 33-story residential and commercial complex with about 90 injuries and more than 10 billion won in property damage, and considering the recent increase in high-rise residential and commercial complexes, the risk of similar fires is high. As can be seen through the residential and commercial complex fire case in Ulsan, life-based fire safety standards need to be established to minimize casualties. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to draw improvements for the development of human safety standards for high-rise residential facilities in the future through comparison with the Korean Building Act, Firefighting-rellated Acts and the U.S. NFPA 101.

Double outlet right ventricle (DORV) and transposition of the great arteries (TGA) with ventricular septal defect (VSD) and pulmonary stenosis (PS) are complex heart diseases, the treatment of which remains a surgical challenge. The Rastelli procedure is still the most commonly performed treatment. Aortic root translocation including an arterial switch operation is advantageous anatomically since it has a lower possibility of conduit blockage and the left ventricle outflow tract remains straight. This study reports successful aortic root transpositions in two patients, one with DORV with VSD and PS and one with TGA with VSD and PS. Both patients were discharged without postoperative complications.

시점기반 복합 이벤트 처리는 각 이벤트에 하나의 타임스탬프를 사용하여 즉각적인 이벤트를 처리한다. 하지만, 시점기반의 이벤트 처리로는 이벤트의 활동 기간이 중요한 역할을 하는 금융, 멀티미디어, 의학, 기상학 같은 분야에서 복합적인 시제 관계를 표현하기에는 불충분하다. 실세계의 애플리케이션 분야에서, 이벤트는 기간을 가지며, 두 종류 이상의 이벤트는 시간적으로 겹쳐질 수도 있고, 하나의 이벤트가 다른 이벤트를 포함할 수도 있다. 이런 종류의 이벤트들에 대한 관계는 시점기반 이벤트처럼 연속적이지 않을 수도 있다. 본 논문에서는 기간기반 이벤트를 사용하여 복합 이벤트의 패턴을 검출하는 방법을 설계하고 구현한다. 기간기반 이벤트는 시점기반 이벤트가 다룰 수 없는 이벤트들 사이의 겹침과 포함관계를 표현할 수 있다. 기간기반 이벤트 연산자는 시작 끝점과 종료 끝점을 사용하여 이벤트의 기간을 나타내고, 기간기반 이벤트의 시퀀스를 표현하여 복합 이벤트 패턴을 검출할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 복합 이벤트 패턴 검출의 효율성을 높이기 위해 활성 인스턴스 스택을 사용하는 알고리즘을 제시하며, 이벤트의 시퀀스를 구성할 때 중간 결과의 개수를 줄이기 위해 윈도우 푸시다운 기법을 적용하여 수행시간과 메모리의 효율을 높인다.

Recently developed computational methods allow the imputation of human leukocyte antigen (HLA) genes using intergenic single nucleotide polymorphism markers. To improve the imputation accuracy in HLA imputation, it is essential to increase the sample size and the diversity of alleles in the reference panel. Our software, MergeReference, helps achieve this goal by providing a streamlined pipeline for combining multiple reference panels into one.
