This study segmented the market of senior rural tourists and analyzed their characteristics. A two-stage cluster analysis was used to analyze the types of senior rural tourists, and the difference in general characteristics and behavioral intention by segmented market was identified. In this study, data from the fact-finding survey on rural tourism 2022 were used, and 487 cases of senior with rural tourism experience in the past year were used for analysis. A total of three types of senior rural tourists were derived based on the motivation for rural tourism, annual expenditure for rural tourism, experience living in rural areas, and relationship with rural area. The segmentation market of senior rural tourists was found to be 'rural attachment type', 'rural curiosity type', and 'rural indifference type'. The results of this study suggest that the general characteristics and behavioral intentions of senior rural tourists differ according to the segment. The results of this study will be useful information in establishing effective marketing strategies targeting senior rural tourists.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify symptom clusters in patients with breast cancer and to investigate the associations among them with functional status and quality of life (QOL). Methods: A convenient sample of 303 patients was recruited from an oncology-specialized hospital. Results: Two distinct clusters were identified: A gastrointestinal- fatigue cluster and a pain cluster. Each cluster significantly influenced functional status and QOL. Based on these two clusters, we identified subgroups of symptom clusters using K-means cluster analysis. Three relatively distinct patient subgroups were identified in each cluster: mild, moderate, and severe group. Disease-related factors (i.e., stage, metastasis, type of surgery, current chemotherapy, and anti-hormone therapy) were associated with these subgroups of symptom clusters. There were significant differences in functional status and QOL among the three subgroups. The subgroup of patients who reported high levels of symptom clusters reported poorer functional status and QOL. Conclusion: Clinicians can anticipate that breast cancer patients with advanced stage, metastasis, and who receive mastectomy, and chemotherapy will have more intense gastrointestinal-fatigue or pain symptoms. In order to enhance functional status and QOL for patients with breast cancer, collective management for symptoms in a cluster may be beneficial.
This study aims to examine the market segmentation of rural healing tourists. A two-stage cluster method was used to segment the market of rural healing tourists, and the difference in satisfaction by segmented market was identified. In this study, a total of 433 cases were used for analysis. A total of four clusters of rural healing tourists were derived based on the purpose of visit and involvement with rural healing tourism. The names of each cluster were determined as 'high involvement, daily escape purpose type', 'high involvement, stress relief purpose type', 'low involvement, daily escape purpose type', and 'high involvement, exotic experience purpose type.' Each groups were found to have significant differences according to educational level, purpose of visit, companion, and expenditure. The satisfaction and the behavioral intention of rural healing tourists was highest in the group of 'high involvement, stress relief purpose type.' The results of this study suggest that the characteristics and satisfaction of rural healing tourists were differ according to the segmented group. This study suggests useful information for target marketing strategies for each segmented market according to the characteristics of rural healing tourists.
The galaxy cluster Abell 115 shows ongoing merger features, which suggest that it might be in an intermediate phase of dynamical evolution. As merging clusters often show, the characteristic hints of A115's merging activities include radio relics, double X-ray peaks, and large offsets between the cluster member galaxies and the X-ray distributions. To constrain the exact stage of the merger, it is necessary to obtain its dark matter distribution. In this study, we carry out a precision weak lensing study of this interesting system based on Subaru images. We present our mass reconstruction together with descriptions on our core procedure of the analysis: Subaru data reduction, galaxy shape measurement, and source selection. We find that Abell 115 consists of two massive dark matter clumps, which closely follow the cluster galaxies. Our weak lensing mass estimate is a few factors lower than the published dynamical mass obtained from velocity dispersion. This large mass discrepancy may be attributed to a significant departure from dynamical equilibrium.
Purpose - In this paper, we categorize and segment the 28 national universities in South Korea and measure the degree of dissimilarity (or similarity) between pairs of ones by using dissimilarity distance matrix and cluster analysis, respectively, based on the seven quantitative evaluation of educational conditions (percentage of small-scale courses, percentage of lecture by the faculty, collection of books per student, material purchase per student, percentage of building capacity, percentage of real estate capacity and rate of accommodation) in 2015. In addition, multidimensional scaling (MDS) techniques can obtain visual representation for exploring patterns of proximities among 28 national universities based on seven attributes of educational conditions. Research design, data, and methodology - This work is carried out by the 2015 Announcement of University Information, which is provided by Ministry of Education in South Korea and utilized by multivariate analyses with CLUSTER, PROXIMITIES and ALSCAL modules in IBM SPSS 23.0. Results - We make certain that 28 national universities can be categorized into five clusters which have similar traits by applying two-stage cluster analysis. MDS is utilized to perform positioning of grouped places of cluster and 28 national universities joining every cluster. Conclusions - Both types and traits of each national university can be relatively assessed and practically utilized for each university competitiveness based on underlying results.

Exploring the risk factors of adolescent suicide is important for effective suicide prevention. This study explored the clustering of adolescent suicides based on six risk factors: mental disorder, broken family, depression, anxiety, previous suicide attempts, and deviant behaviors. Using 173 student suicide reports obtained from the Ministry of Education, we evaluated the associations between suicide and variables related to mental disorders; dysfunctional family life; depression and anxiety; previous suicide attempts; deviant behaviors such as drinking and smoking; and school life characteristics, including attendance and discipline, problems within the past year, and incidents prior to suicide. In addition, reports of warning signs just before suicide were included in the analysis. The two-stage cluster analysis classified the students into three clusters: the silent type (cluster 1; 48.55%), in which no risk factors were observed; environmental-risk type (cluster 2: 24.28%), which featured a high frequency of broken households, deviant behaviors such as smoking/drinking and running away from home; and depressive type (cluster 3: 27.17%), which featured a high frequency of mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, and suicide attempts. Identifying the sub-types of adolescent suicide may help to inform tailored suicide prevention and intervention strategies in school.
Abell 1240 is a merging galaxy cluster hosting prominent, symmetric double radio relics. To constrain its merging history, we provide the first weak-lensing analysis of the dark matter distribution of the Abell 1240 field with Subaru/Suprime-Cam observations after robustly addressing instrumental systematics. We also investigate the cluster galaxy distributions, combining our new MMT/Hectospec observations and the spectroscopic redshifts from the literature. Both weak-lensing mass reconstruction and galaxy distribution show that Abell 1240 consists of two subclusters stretched north to south between the double radio relics. We quantify the significance of the substructures and present their mass estimates. Finally, we discuss a merging stage of Abell 1240 with the current weak-lensing results and the radio relic priors.
National-wide and/or large scale sample surveys generally use complex sample design. Traditional Pearson chi-square test is not appropriate for the categorical complex sample data. Rao-Scott suggested an adjustment method for Pearson chi-square test, which uses the average of eigenvalues of design matrix of cell probabilities. This study is to compare the efficiency of Rao-Scott first order adjusted test to Wald test for homogeneity between two populations using 2009 Gyeongnam regional education offices's customer satisfaction survey (2009 GREOCSS) data. The 2009 GREOCSS data were collected based on stratified three-stage cluster sampling with probability proportional to size. The empirical results show that the Rao-Scott adjusted test statistic using only the variances of cell probabilities is very close to the Wald test statistic, which uses the covariance matrix of cell probabilities, under the 2009 GREOCSS data based. However it is necessary to be cautious to use the Rao-Scott first order adjusted test statistic in the place of Wald test because its efficiency is decreasing as the relative variance of eigenvalues of the design matrix of cell probabilities is increasing, specially more when the number of degrees of freedom is small.
In studying the dynamical evolution of galaxy clusters, one intriguing approach is to compare the spatial distributions of various components, such as the dark matter, the member galaxies, the gas, and the intracluster light (ICL; the diffuse light from stars, which are not bound any individual cluster galaxy). If we find a visible component whose spatial distribution coincides with the dark matter distribution, then we could draw a dark matter map without requiring laborious weak lensing analysis. Furthermore, if the component traces the dark matter distribution better for more relaxed galaxy cluster, we could use the similarity as a dynamical stage estimator of the galaxy cluster. We present a novel new methodology to quantify the similarity of two or more 2-dimensional spatial distributions. We apply the method to a sample of galaxy clusters at different dynamical stages simulated within N-cluster Run, which is an N-body simulation using the galaxy replacement technique. Among the various components (stellar particles, galaxies, ICL), the velocity defined ICL+ brightest cluster galaxy (BCG) component traces the dark matter best. Between the sample galaxy clusters, the relaxed clusters show stronger similarity of the spatial distribution between the dark matter and ICL+BCG than the dynamically young clusters.
The purpose of this study was to classify the types of housing life style. Housing life style was measured using four variables : furniture usage pattern, space usage pattern, family living pattern and heating system. A final Instrument was developed through the two stage pilot surveys. The respondents were 1,292 home-makers of the middle and high economic classes In Seoul and Daejeon, selected through stratified random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using SAS computer packages. The statistics used were frequency, percentage, Pear-3on`s correlation coefficient, Multiple Linear Regression, X2, and cluster analysis. The major findings were as follows : Five representative types of housing life style were found through cluster analysis. They were conventional minimum level life style, conventional optimum famiIy-centered life style, eclectic family-centered life style, contemporary optimum family - centered and contemporary so-cial, leasure-oriented life style.
