  • The most widespread techniques for DEM generation are stereoscopy for optical sensor images and interfereometry for SAR images. These techniques suffer from certain sensor and processing limitations, which can be overcome by the synergetic use of both sensors and DEMs respectively. In this paper, different strategies for fusing SAR and optical data are combined to derive high quality DEM products. The multiresolution wavelet transform, which take advantage of the complementary properties of SAR and stereo optical DEMs, will be applied for the fusion process. By taking advantage of the fact that errors of the DEMs are of different nature using the multiresolution wavelet transform, affected part are filtered and replaced by those of the counterpart and is tested with two sets of SPOT and ERS DEM, resulting in a remarkable improvement in DEM. For the analysis of results, the reference DEM is generated from digital base map(1:5000).

  • As a part of the "Dust, Ice, and Gas In Time" (DIGIT) key program on Herschel, we observed GSS30-IRS1, a Class I protostar located in Ophiuchus (d =125 pc), with Herschel/Photodetector Array Camera and Spectrometer (PACS). More than 70 lines were detected within a wavelength range from 50 ${\mu}m$ to 200 ${\mu}m$: CO lines from J = 14-13 to 41-40, several $H_2O$ lines of Eup = 100 K to 1500 K, 16 transitions of OH rotational lines, and two atomic [O I] lines at 63 and 145 ${\mu}m$. The [C II] line, known as a tracer of externally heated gas by the interstellar radiation field, is also detected at 158 ${\mu}m$. All lines, except [O I] and [C II], are detected only at the central spaxel of $9^{\prime\prime}.4{\times}9^{\prime\prime}.4$. The [O I] emission is extended along a NE-SW orientation, which is consistent with the known outflow direction, while the [C II] line is detected over all spaxels. One possible explanation of the detection of the [C II] line and no correlation of its spatial distribution with any other molecular emission is the existence of the enhanced ISRF nearby GSS30-IRS1. One interesting feature of GSS30-IRS1 is that the continuum emission is extended beyond the point-spread function (PSF), unlike the molecular line emission, indicative of significant external heating. The best-fit continuum model of GSS30-IRS1 with the physical structure including flared disk, envelope, and outflow shows that the internal luminosity is 11 $L_{\odot}$, and the region is also externally heated by a radiation field enhanced by a factor of 25 compared to the local standard interstellar field.

  • Geographic Information System(CIS) deal with data which can potentially be useful for a wide range of applications. The information needed by each application can be vary, specially in resolution, detail level, application view, and representation style, as defined in the modeling phase of the geographic database design. To be able to deal with such diverse needs, GIS must offer features that allow multiple representation for each geographic entity of phenomenon. This paper addresses on the problem of formal definition of the objects and their relationships on the geographical information systems. The geographical data is divided into two main classes : geo-objects and geo-fields, which describe discrete and continuous representations of spatial reality. I studied the attributes and the relationship roles over geo-object and nongeo-object. Therefore, this paper contributed on the efficient design of geographical class hierarchy schema by means of formalizing attribute-domains of classes.

  • In the near future, people will wish to access many kinds of heterogeneous networks to use their services anytime and anywhere. Owing to the heterogeneity of networks, there must be many kinds of protocols to guarantee secure services. The mobile device can depend in a middleware for accessing services in the heterogeneous networks and the middleware helps the mobile device to communicate with services without blowing concrete protocols. If a secure channel is necessary, the middleware may access a private key in the mobile device to perform a security protocol. In this paper, we focus on the security of a private key in the mobile device against malicious middlewares. To do so, we introduce two models for a user to protect his/her private key against malicious middlewares by generating authentication data(e.g., digital signatures) without keeping the private key in the mobile device.

  • In this paper, a new structural approach to on-line signature verification is presented. A primitive pattern is defined as a part segmented by a local minimal position of speed. And a structural description of signature is composed of subpatterns which are defined as such forms as rotation shape, cusp shape and bell shape, acquired by composition of the primitives regarding the directional changes. As the matching method to find identical parts between two signatures, a modified DP(dynamic programming) matching algorithm is presented. And also, variation and complexity of local parts are computed from the training samples, and reference model and decision boundary are derived from these. Error rate, execution time and memory usage are compared among the functional approach, the parametric approach and the proposed structural approach. It is found that the average error rate can be reduced from 14.2% to 4.05% when the local parts of a signature are weighted and the complexity is used as a factor of decision threshold. Though the error rate is similar to that of functional approaches. time consumption and memory usage of the proposed structural approach are shown to be very effective.

  • This study aims to draw out planning principles and structure of Iksan imperial capital city in late Baekje, especially in view of the relationship among imperial capital city planning area, skeletal axis and the location of royal castle. With site survey and analysis of historical records, old maps, topographical maps, archeological excavation data, land registration map of 1915, some significant inferences were drawn out. Firstly from the point of topological conditions, the contiguous line of a stratum from Mireuk mountain(彌勒山) to Wangkung-ri castle(王宮里遺蹟) and two waterways made a topological axis of Iksan Imperial capital city. Secondly district of Iksan imperial capital city can be deduced to the inner area north to Kummado soil wall(金馬都土城), south to the confluence of Iksan river(益山川) and Busang river(扶桑川), west to Okum mountain fortress(五金山城) and Galjeon river(葛田川), east to line near to eastern wall of Jesuksa temple(帝釋寺). Iksan ssang-reung(益山雙陵) was located outside western boundary line of capital city. Thirdly axis from Wangkung-ri castle to northern Kummado soil wall made a skeletal axis of city structure. It got through northern lowland along Buk river(北川) between Yonghwa(龍華山) and Mireuk mountain. Fourthly the location of royal palace can be deduced to the north part of the city around Kumma town area along the planning principle of northern royal palace.

  • Recently the instantaneous center concept has been to understand the biomechanics by which a tissue derangement causes a mechanical derangement in human joint. Therefore, to understand the biomechanics of temporomandibular joint (T.M.J.) as a part of human joint, it is necessary to clarify the instantaneous center of rotation (I.C.R.) in the mandibular movement. Twenty male subjects without T.M.J. disorder and mandibular deviation during the mandibular movement were selected for this study. The habitual opening and closing paths were recorded on the paper of the sagittal metal plate by two pencil markers connected to the resin open clutch attached on the lower teeth, which was designed for this study. The coordinates of the 33-target points and the 109-anatomical landmarks were obtained using a Summagraphic digitizer connected to a 18AT computer. The original raw data of the opening and closing paths were smoothed by B-spline curve fitting technique and then the I.C.R. pathways were determined mathematically by the computer using algorithm for finding the I.C.R. of a planer rigid body model. Also the opening and closing movements of the mandible were simulated according to the determined I.C.R. The results obtained from this study were as follows. 1. At the early opening and the last closing, I.C.R's were almost distributed around the mastoid process outside the mandibular body without the presence in the region of the mandibular condyle. 2. The I.C.R. pathway showed variable patterns to each subject at the opening and closing movements. 3. The K constant with uniform pattern was obtained by the rotation angle times the radius, which was assumed to the index of the mandibular movement. 4. The opening and closing movements of the mandible were simulated by the I.C.R. pathways at the habitual opening and closing movements. 5. The mandibular condyle was rotated or translated accordng to the relative rotation angle and radius of the determinant factors of K contant.

  • In this paper, we propose the algorithm that automatically measures the height of the object to move on the base plane by using the geometric information. To extract a moving object from real-time images creates the background image and each pixel is modeled by the three values. The extracted region is represented by cardboard model and calculates the coordinate center in the each part. The top and bottom point of an object are extracted by the calculated coordinate center and an iterative computation. The two points, top and bottom, are used for measuring the height. Given the vanishing line of the ground plane, the vertical vanishing point, and at least one reference height in the scene; then the height of any point from the ground may be computed by specifying the image of the point and the image of the vertical intersection with the ground plane at that point. Through a confidence valuation of the height to be measured, we confirmed similar actual height and result in the simulation experiment.

  • Consumer researchers found that compulsive buying was a part of a category of compulsive consumption that was interrelated to addictive and repetitive behaviors. The present study empirically examined the co-morbidity of compulsive buying and Internet addiction among e-commerce users in terms of consumption disorders. Although the prevalence of Internet use and on-line sales remarkably increase in recent years, almost no study examines on-line compulsive buying behavior. This study explored the link between compulsive buying and Internet addiction among e-commerce users, and investigated the characteristics of on-line shoppers with respect to two forms of compulsive consumption, which were divided into compulsive buying and Internet addiction. Additionally, factors that related to compulsive buying behaviors among e-commerce users were also examined. The present research was conducted using a convenience sample of 394 young adults between the ages of 20-30, and the Faber and O'Guinn's DSCB scale and the Widyanto's Internet addiction scale (IA) were used. Confirmatory factor analyses were utilized to evaluate the structure of the DSCB and IA, and a Probit model was used to examine determinants for the compulsive buying behaviors of e-commerce users. E-commerce users were classified into four groups; high compulsion and high addiction, low compulsion and low addiction, high compulsion and low addiction, and low compulsion and high addiction. Consumers with high compulsion and high addiction spent higher amounts of money on their on-line purchases and were frequently connected with the Internet compared to the three other consumer groups. Consumers with compulsive buying behaviors were also found to have significantly greater Internet addiction tendencies than typical buyers. Compulsive buyers were more likely to engage in Internet addiction and the number of purchasing via on-line shopping mall, and had higher materialism. Policy implications and suggestions for consumer education programs were discussed.

  • In the virtual prototyping environment, we can simulate details of a target model using many components and libraries provided in advance on a computer. The real prototyping environment provides the test simulation environment as a real product, but we can't do a detailed simulation of a real product in the virtual prototyping environment, and we can't do various simulations in the real prototyping environment. So, we made a integrated prototyping environment for linkage of the two types of prototyping environments. Also, in this paper, we developed the integrated prototyping environment based on objects. By this kind of embedded system development environment, we can have the advantages as reuse, flexibility, scalability, and more convenient of product making.
