연료노즐 내부유동 현상의 수치해석 (Calculation of the internal flow in a fuel nozzle)

  • The breakup of liquid jet is the result of competing, unstable hydrodynamic forces acting on the liquid jet as it exit the nozzle. The nozzle geometry and up-stream injection conditions affect the characteristics of flow inside the nozzle, such as turbulence and cavitation bubbles. A set of calculation of the internal flow in a single hole type nozzle were performed using a two dimensional flow simulation under different nozzle geometry and up-stream flow conditions. The calculation showed that the turbulent intensity and discharge coefficient are related to needle position. The diesel nozzle with sharp inlet under actual engine condition has possibility of cavitation, but round inlet nozzle has no possibility of cavitation.

  • 본 연구에서는 DVM의 이론적 배경과 수치계산에 대해 자세히 다루었다. 음향 교란이 가졌을 때의 재부착에 대한 수치해석결과는 Kiya등의 실험결과와 비교하 였으며 만족할만한 일치를 보여주었다. 결과 및 고찰에서는 주로 음향교란이 있는 경우의 재부착길이를 최소화하는 주파수와 교란이 없는 유동의 난류구조해석을 평균속 도 및 압력과 그의 섭동치, 그리고 파워 스펙트럼과 상관계수등을 통해 자세히 비교검 토하였다.

  • A quasi-three dimensional calculation method is presented on the basis of Wu's idea using finite element methods. In B-B flow the governing equations are cast into a single equation to overcome the restriction of the type of turbomachinery, and Kutta condition is exactly assured by introducing a combination of two kinds of stream functions. In H-S flow a dissipative force which is assumed to be opposed to the relative velocity is added to the governing equation for a consistent loss model. The entropy change along each streamline is then calculated by assuming that the dissipative force may be a force coming from laminar viscous stresses with inviscid velocity distributions. Both the flow solvers are combined to build a three-dimensional flow field through a few iterations. For an effect of the distortion of H-S flow surface the body forces are computed after each B-B flow calculation is finished. Mizuki's centrifugal impellers are tested numerically. The reliability of the numerical solution compared with experimental data is guaranteed.

  • 본 연구는 연료(수소)층과 산화제(공기)층의 사이에 불활성기체(질소)또는 연료(수소)를 평행분사하는 수치해석을 다루고 있다. 수치해석을 위해서 완전 보존되는 비정상 2차 시간정확도법과 2차 TVD방법이 유한 체적법과 사용되었다. 결과는 3가지 종류로 구성되어있다. 첫째는 연료와 산화제의 단일 혼합층이고, 둘째는 연료와 산화제의 사이에 불활성기체를 분사하는 방식이며, 세 번째는 연료와 산화제의 사이에 연료를 분사하는 방식이다. 전체 유동층의 수직두께는 4cm이며 삽입된 중간층의 두께는 1,2,4mm의 세가지 경우에 대하여 계산하였다.

화염 구조에 미치는 연료 및 당량비에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Influence of Equivalence Ratio and Kinds of fuel in Flame Structure)

  • In order to clarify the effect of equivalence ratio and kinds of fule in flame structure, a numerical simulation of triple flame developed in a co-flowing methane-air and air stream was carried out by the elementary chemical reaction mechanism. The following conclusions were obtained. Equivalence ratio at which the apparent burning velocity is maximum is a little larger than that of the one-dimensional premixed flame. Apparent burning velocities are two times higher than that of the one-dimensional premixed flame for the methane-air. The flame thrusts out forward in the downstream of the boundary between mixture and air stream, and a part of the flow is bent and forks out in this protruding flame so that a triple flame is originated; this triple flame is composed of fuel rich and lean premixed flame branches and a diffusion flame branch. Near the equivalence ratio at which the burning velocity of rule-dimensional premixed flame is the largest the effect of one-dimensional premixed flame becomes large and the fuel rich premixed flame advances and becomes vertical to the flow direction.

다중회귀분석을 이용한 임하호 유입하천의 수온예측 (Water-Temperature Prediction of Streams Entering into Imha Reservoir using Multi-Regnssion Method)

  • The regression models for the water temperatures of Ban Byeon Stream and Yong Jeon stream were developed using multi-regression method. It was also investigated that the applicability of the stream temperature prediction to two-dimensional numerical simulation to predict the vertical water temperature in Imha Reservoir. Air temperature and dew point as independent variables were selected to be applicable to cases with the different variation of flow rates. The data division of water temperature using a cutoff flow rate of $20m^3/s$ was found to reduce the prediction error of the stream temperature. The mean absolute percent error of the numerical simulation results of the vertical water temperature in Imha Reservoir using the regression models was 11%, which was only 4.3% lager than the simulation result using the measured stream temperature. Therefore, the regression models of the stream temperatures using multi-regression method applied in this study could be applied to predict the vertical water temperature in Imha Reservoir with a good accuracy.

  • 본 연구에서는 자동차 전자제어식 공기유량계를 Fig.2와 같이 평행평판 안에 사각 지주가 있다고 단순화하고 공기는 이차원 비 압축성 점성유동으로 가정했다. 지배방정식은 유체 운동량방정식(navier-Stokes equation)을 와도 전달 방정식(vorti- city transport equation)과 유량 함수 방정식(stream function equation)으로 변환하 여 사용하였다. Peacemanrachford ADI 방법으로 수치해석 하였으며, 유량 함수 방정 식의 수렴성을 좋게 하기 위하여 Wachspress parameter를 사용하였다. 벽면의 경계 조건은 Briely의 4th-order Lagrange interpolation 방법을 따랐다. Reynolds 수 200과 500에서의 비정상유동(unsteady flow)을 계산하였으며, 유동이 정상상태(steady state)에 도달하였을 때에 유동을 교란시켜 와동 흘림(vortex shedding)을 구하였다.

  • 본 연구는 SMS의 RMA-2를 이용한 하천흐름 해석에서 WMS HEC-1으로 모의된 하천 본류 및 지류의 수리량을 동적인 경계 입력자료로 하여 다양한 시나리오별로 하천내의 흐름 영향을 파악하고자 하였다. 안성천 유역의 공도와 평택수위관측소 구간(10.5km)에 대하여 WMS로 모의한 50, 100, 500, 1,000년 빈도별 시단위 유량을 본류 및 3개 지류의 유량 경계조건으로 적용하여 하천의 수리학적 특성을 분석하였다. SMS RMA-2의 동적 조건(dynamic type)으로 구동한 결과, 하천 본류구간의 시간별 수위 및 유속분포를 모의할 수 있었다. 빈도를 증가시킬수록 측점별 평균유속과 수위가 증가함을 확인할 수 있었으며, 특히 지류가 유입되는 본류지점의 가까운 하류부에서 하천 폭이 좁으면 유속이 크게 증가하였다.

A Semi-Implicit Method for the Analysis of Two-Dimensional Fluid Flow with Moving Free Surfaces

  • Flow with moving free surfaces is analyzed with an the Eulerian coordinate system. This study proposes a semi-implicit filling algorithm using VOF in which the PLIC (Piecewise Linear Interface Calculation) -type interface reconstruction method and the donor-acceptor-type front advancing scheme are adopted. Also, a new scheme using extrapolation of the stream function is proposed to find the velocity of the node that newly enters the computational domain. The effect of wall boundary conditions on the flow field and temperature field is examined by numerically solving a two-dimensional casting process.

  • Two dimensional slow viscous flow between a rotating cylinder and a translating plate is investigated using Stokes' approximation. An exact formal expression of the stream function is obtained by using the bipolar cylinder coordinates and Fourier series expansion. From the stream function obtained, the streamline patterns are shown and the pressure distribution in the flow field is determined. By integrating the stress distributions on the cylinder, the farce and the moment exerted on the cylinder are calculated. The flow rate through the gap between the cylinder and the plate is also determined as a function of the distance between the cylinder and the plate. Special attention is directed to the case of very small distance between the cylinder and the plate concerned with the lubrication theory and the minimum pressure is calculated to explain a possible cavitation.
