A Study on a Smart City Supply Chain Security Model Based on Zero-Trust (제로 트러스트(Zero-Trust) 기반의 스마트시티 공급망 보안모델 연구)

  • Recently, research on solving problems that have introduced the concept of smart city in countries and companies around the world is in progress due to various urban problems. A smart city converges the city's ICT, connects all the city's components with a network, collects and delivers data, and consists of a supply chain composed of various IoT products and services. The increase in various cyber security threats and supply chain threats in smart cities is inevitable, in addition to establishing a framework such as supply chain security policy, authentication of each data provider and service according to data linkage and appropriate access control are required in a Zero-Trust point of view. To this end, a smart city security model has been developed for smart city security threats in Korea, but security requirements related to supply chain security and zero trust are insufficient. This paper examines overseas smart city security trends, presents international standard security requirements related to ISMS-P and supply chain security, as well as security requirements for applying zero trust related technologies to domestic smart city security models.

A Participation Income Project to Remove Marine Debris and its Possible Contribution to Creating a Marine Protected Area in Korea

  • The creation of marine protected areas is an important aspect of marine ecosystem sustainability. However, South Korea has not achieved its Aichi Biodiversity Target to designate 10% of its sea as marine protected by 2020. Local residents have strong opposition to the designation of protected areas in South Korea; there has been little trust in the government since the 1970s, when residents felt that their property rights were being ignored in favor of creating national parks. Here, we present a case where creation of a marine protected area was led by residents of TongYeong City. The success of a participation income project to remove marine debris in the city seems to be an important factor that led to the designation of the marine protected area. The case of TongYeong City is compared with that of nearby Geoje City, where an ecologically important stream has not been designated as a wetland protection area, although a similar participation income project enrolled the city's residents. The comparison provides a tentative assessment of the conditions needed to increase trust among residents. The results suggest that, if the projects are well-designed and well-managed, participation income projects to remove marine debris can be effective in building trust among stakeholders in potential marine protected areas.

The Relationship between the Perceived Mental Benefits, Online Trust, and Personal Information Disclosure in Online Shopping

  • The study examines the relationship between perceived mental benefits, online trust, and personal information disclosure when shopping online in Vietnam. The e-commerce market has been booming in Vietnam since 2015. The number of online transactions and e-commerce sites has increased steadily in recent years. However, the number of online sales in Vietnam is still not high, and consumers are still limited in buying from websites when they have to provide too much information during and after the shopping process. The mix-method is used to ensure the scientific nature of the study. Qualitative research method (phenomenological research) along with the quantitative research method (survey) are applied to meet the research objectives. The data in the study was collected through the group discussion with eight experts and the survey with 917 respondents. Data processing result via SmartPLS software indicate the positive relationships between the factors in the research. The perceived mental benefits have the most potent influence on the online trust of Vietnamese customers; at the same time, both the perceived mental benefits and online trust affect customers personal information disclosure in electronic commerce. Some managerial implications relating increasing the perceived mental benefits, and customers' online trust are proposed for online businesses.

  • The research was to investigate the effect of trust in supervisor, organizational trust and perception on the shared value on innovative behavior. The data were collected from 334 nurses from University hospital of G city. Data were analyzed with frequency, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient and hierarchical regression, equipped with SPSS 21.0. The results showed that there was correlation among trust in supervisor, organizational trust and perception, and innovative behavior. Therefore, it is considered that the study is the basis to improve innovative behavior of nurses by providing alternatives for achieving trust in supervisor, organizational trust and perception, for sake of efficient management of human resource of nurse of University hospital. Customer Electronic Loyalty towards Online Business: The role of Online Trust, Perceived Mental Benefits and Hedonic Value

  • Purpose: The success of electronic commerce businesses is the ability to retain the customers and inspire their loyalty in online shopping. The purpose of this study is to develop a model to study the effect of perceived mental benefits, online trust, and hedonic value on the elements of electronic loyalty. Research design, data and methodology: Mixed research method was applied in this study with qualitative and quantitative research method. Qualitative data was collected through focus group discussion with electronic commerce experts. Quantitative data was collected through a survey of 917 customers, in which conducted in four cities and one province in Vietnam. SmartPLS software is used for processing quantitative data. Results: The study points out that four constructs of the mental benefit concept, although not entirely, have an impact on online trust and hedonic value. At the same time, two antecedents of electronic loyalty's three elements are online trust and hedonic value. Conclusions: Through the positive influence between the elements in the conceptual model, the study has shown that the perceived mental benefits, online trust, and hedonic value are important factors to shape the electronic loyalty in developing countries, such as Vietnam. This study proposed some scientific and managerial implications.

The Effects of Job Characteristics on Organizational Trust, Acceptance of Organizational Change and Organizational Commitment (직무특성이 조직신뢰, 조직변화 수용성 및 조직몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of the organizational trust, acceptance of organizational change on the relationship between job characteristics and organizational commitment. For this study, data were collected from convenient sample of 241 employees at small and medium enterprises in Ulsan city and Gyeongju city. All data collected from the survey were analyzed using with SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. This study reports findings as followed: 1. The relationship between the job characteristics and the organizational trust is positively related. 2. There was a positive correlation between the job characteristics and the acceptance of organizational change. 3. There was a positive correlation between the job characteristics and the organizational commitment. 4. The relationship between the organizational trust and the acceptance of organizational change is positively related. 5. There was a positive correlation between the organizational trust and the organizational commitment. 6. There was a positive correlation between the acceptance of organizational change and the organizational commitment. Finally, the organizational trust and acceptance of organizational change played as a partial mediator on the relationship between job characteristics and organizational commitment.

  • This study is to explore the relationship between trust in local administrative organization and organizational performance. Local administrative organizations provide the citizens with administrative services. Heightening the organizational performance contributes the citizens' happiness and the stream of times through organizations' change. To provide high quality of administrative service to citizens, trust in organizations is more important than any other capital. The improvement of organizational performance needs through this social capital. Factors about trust variables and organizational performance variables are extracted through the theoretical discussions. To do the research, public servants in 7 local administrative organizations of Gangwondo were asked to do the survey about how trust in organizations affects organizationa performances. The results explain that trust variables are related to organizational performance, and the local administrative organization which is high in trust is high in organizational performance. Trust in local administrative organizations improves the organizational performance internally and the organization will obtain trust from the citizens externally.

Measuring Trusts And The Effects On The Consumers' Buying Behavior

  • Purpose: Trust plays an important role in e-commerce because consumers perceive more risk involved with this type of shopping than traditional way of shopping. Trust is defined as complex and multidimensional issue. This paper argues that trust should be considered to have two important components as trust belief and trust intention, in which trust belief has three components as competence, integrity and benevolence. Research design, data and methodology: This study examines the relationship between retailer website quality (web design, navigation, information), reputation and risk toward trust. In addition, trust and risk toward buying behavior are also considered, leading to customer satisfaction. The paper is conducted on a sample of 594 customers with direct experience of online shopping in Vietnam. Both confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and a structural equation model (SEM) were utilised. Results: Empirical findings from this paper indicate that trust is high order construct. Website quality and reputation have positive impacts on customers' trust. Trust has a positive relationship to buying behavior and customers' satisfaction while perceived risk has negative relationship to buying behavior. In contrast, a relationship between perceived risk and trust is not supported in this study. Conclusions: Improving reputation and website quality (especially information) may increase customers' trust and eventually lead to purchase decision.
