  • Trouble-free operation of cooling water systems is essential for efficient pro¬duction in most industrial facilities. Improper water treatments frequently cause such problems as corrosion, scaling, fouling and slime formation. Water quality, methods of cooling and materials of construction in the cooling circuit should be carefully studied before making selection of the water treatment programs. This paper reviewed cooling water problems encountered frequently in the open recirculating cooling systems and discussed the counter measures how to cope with them.

  • When top down method is used, it could be a construction method trouble in column joint, between the former concrete and the latter. It could bring a void and weak concrete in column. The purpose of this study is finding a way to prevent concrete void and concrete suitable for top down, through V-metering for top down column and concrete experiment.

  • 천연가스 공급설비에 대한 정성적, 정량적 안전성평가가 여러 차례에 걸쳐 수행되어 왔으나 대부분 화학공장이나 원자력발전소, 해외가스설비 등 보수정책이나 사용환경이 다른 일반 신뢰도데이터를 사용으로 평가의 신뢰성 저해를 초래하였다. 천연가스 공급설비에 대한 고장이력을 확인할 수 있는 것 중 하나인 Trouble Memo(T/M)에는 신뢰도 평가에 필요한 대다수의 자료가 존재하나 몇 가지 사항이 미 기재되어 있고, 데이터 정리에 많은 노력이 필요하다.(중략)

  • This paper outlines our approach and the underlying design principles aimed at the generation of a theory of coordination. Such theory would assist in designing new Multi-Agent Systems(MAS) and provide trouble-shooting tools for suboptimally functioning MAS. This paper also describes the decisions that have been made in this endeavor. We have been able to show via a simplified model that approach is feasible and can produce results.

  • Some Korean speakers have trouble in learning the correct pronunciation of many complex English words which have clusters in their onset and coda position. This study shows that the difficulties Korean students have acquiring English pronunciation partly come from syllable structure differences between English and Korean. We provide an analysis based on Optimality Theory (Prince and Smolensky 1993) of the syllable structure difference and suggest that Korean speakers learn the different constraint ranking between English and Korean. This will offer Korean speakers with some helpful methods which will facilitate their learning.

  • 미성형은 수지 점도가 높거나 유동경로가 너무 제한적이거나 혹은 용융 수지가 일찍 고화되어 금형내에 수지가 완전히 충전되지 않고 냉각 및 고화되는 현상을 말한다. 일반적으로 수지의 유동성이 부족하기 때문에 금형 전체에 수지가 미치지 못하여 일어난다고 생각되는 수가 많으나 반드시 그것만이 아니고 그 외에 여러 가지 원인이 있을 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 실제 현장에서 미성형이 발생한 제품을 대상으로 이를 해결하기 위해 여러 가지 공정조건을 바꾸어서 시뮬레이션을 여러번 반복해 봄으로써, 사출압력, 금형온도, 사출속도, 용융수지온도와 같은 공정조건들이 미성형에 미치는 영향을 각각 시뮬레이션을 통하여 고찰하여 보았다.

  • In the three phase full-wave thyristor rectifier, heat radiation concentrated at a few thyristor(s), while equipment's output is normal. That is very important on the predictive maintenance or checking including replacement of parts(or modules). Therefore, this report explains the method of effective diagnosis and the reason that firing control modules have to be adjusted accuratly on each phase.

  • Since the invention of the Pettis integral over half century ago, the problem of recognizing the Pettis integrability of a function against an individual condition has been much studied [1,6,7,8,12]. In spite of the R.F. Geitz (1982) and M. Talagrand's (1984) characterization of Pettis integrability, there is often trouble in recognizing when a function is or is not Pettis integrable.(omitted)
