Nonlinear Feature Extraction using Class-augmented Kernel PCA (클래스가 부가된 커널 주성분분석을 이용한 비선형 특징추출)

  • In this papwer, we propose a new feature extraction method, named as Class-augmented Kernel Principal Component Analysis (CA-KPCA), which can extract nonlinear features for classification. Among the subspace method that was being widely used for feature extraction, Class-augmented Principal Component Analysis (CA-PCA) is a recently one that can extract features for a accurate classification without computational difficulties of other methods such as Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA). However, the features extracted by CA-PCA is still restricted to be in a linear subspace of the original data space, which limites the use of this method for various problems requiring nonlinear features. To resolve this limitation, we apply a kernel trick to develop a new version of CA-PCA to extract nonlinear features, and evaluate its performance by experiments using data sets in the UCI Machine Learning Repository.

  • Principal component analysis (PCA) is a well-known method for dimensionality reduction and feature extraction while maintaining most of the variation in data. Although PCA has been applied in many areas successfully, it is sensitive to outliers and only valid for Gaussian distributions. Several variants of PCA have been proposed to resolve noise sensitivity and, among the variants, improved robust fuzzy PCA (RF-PCA2) demonstrated promising results. RF-PCA, however, is still a linear algorithm that cannot accommodate non-Gaussian distributions. In this paper, a non-linear algorithm that combines RF-PCA2 and kernel PCA (K-PCA), called improved robust kernel fuzzy PCA (RKF-PCA2), is introduced. The kernel methods make it to accommodate non-Gaussian distributions. RKF-PCA2 inherits noise robustness from RF-PCA2 and non-linearity from K-PCA. RKF-PCA2 outperforms previous methods in handling non-Gaussian distributions in a noise robust way. Experimental results also support this.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the esthetic features of femme fatale character fashions, which are shown in Movie . The feature of evil femineity is the attribute of evil which brings men to ruin by the dangerous, cunning, and cruel trick, and is expressed in black color, red color, and slash fashion. This fashion shows the dark reverse side of women's sexual desire in relation to anxiety, evil, and death. The feature of sensuality evokes physical pleasures or desires, and maximizes the exposure of sexual regions by tightening or loosening women's body. In the fashion expressing this feature, the forms are fit or loose silhouette. and the colors are black and red. and the materials are soft. This fashion seems to deconstruct the past concept of sex consciousness and emphasize the independent and autonomous femineity. The feature of positiveness combines feminine elements with masculine elements in relation to power elements. This feature is expressed in tailored suit and trousers, with few patterns and details, and in black color and gray color. This fashion reflects the aggressive, challenging, and independent femineity, and expresses the potential defense for the weakness and danger of female body. The feature of purity expresses the earnest and truthful mind, and is expressed in the soft and light one-piece dress, the elegant suit, and the pink color and black color fashion. This fashion shows angel-like and reliable womanly beauty, but at the same time shows women's attribute which changes their behavior and thinking every moment, so that this fashion shows women's double-sided attribute which combines women's weakness and violence, or tenacity and conflict.

Fabrication of Electrostatic Track-Following Microactuator for Hard Disk Drive Using SOI (SOI를 이용한 하드 디스크 드라이브용 정전형 트랙 추적 마이크로 액추에이터의 제작)

  • We have achieved a high aspect ratio track-following microactuator (TFMA) which is capable of driving 0.3 ${\mu}m$ magnetic head for hard disk drive (HDD). it was fabricated on silicon on insulator (SOI) wafer with 20 ${\mu}m$ trick active silicon and 2 ${\mu}m$ thick thermally grown oxide and piggyback electrostatic principle was used for driving TFMA. The first vibration mode frequency of TFMA was 18.5 kHz which is enough for a recording density of higher than 10 Gb/in$^2$. Its displacement was 1.4 ${\mu}m$ when 15 V dc bias plus 15 V ac sinusoidal driving input was applied and its electrostatic force was 50 N. The fabricated actuator shows 7.51 dB of gain margin and 50.98$^{\circ}$ of phase margin for 2.21 kHz servo-bandwidth.

  • As North Korea has a sufficient ability to attack our society's vulnerable computer network, various large-scale cyber attacks are expected to be tried. North Korea's cyber military strength is known a world-class level. The number of its cyber agents is increasing consistently. Recently North Korea's cyber attack has been made regardless of trick and target. But up to now North Korea's cyber attack is more of an exploration than a real attack. Its purpose was to check how fast Korea found a problem and recovered from it. In future, cyber attack that damages substantially is highly probable. In case of an attack against national infrastructure like traffic, financial and energy services, the extent of the damage will be great beyond imagination. In this paper, characteristics of recent North Korea's cyber attack is addressed in depth and countermeasures such as the enactment of cyber terror prevention law, simulation training enforcement, private and public cooperation system construction, cyber security infrastructure expansion, etc. are proposed.

Op-Art in Fashion of Post-Modern Society (포스트모던 사회의 패션에 표현된 옵아트)

  • OP-Art was not appreciated by painters and art critics. and according1y has been forgotten in art history. But recently Op-Art is revitalized in fashion and is in its palmy days. This study intends to re-assess the value of Op-Art, by reviewing its influence on fashion design in the post-modern society To this purpose, conceptual characteristics of Op-Art was analyzed. And then, on the bases of these characteristics, the figural characteristics and the meaning of Op-Art in fashion design of post-modern society was re-explained. Op-Art is characterized as an art of flatness of picture plane which uses repetition of simple forms and colors. It is also based on trick of visual perception. Finally. it creates an impression which is flickering or vibrating by means of optical illusion. These characteristics give birth to some features such as simplicity. anonymity and mobility in the Op-Art fashion. The meanings of Op-Art in fashion design in post-modern society are as follows. First, repetition of simple units employed in Op-Art produces feeling of simplicity. which makes the Op-Art fashion works perceived as polysemy. In other words, the feeling of simplicity can be interpreted In diverse perspectives within the social context of our society. The material civilization and technology civilization, which causes the alienation and standardization of man. can be the backgrounds of the Op-Art fashion. Second, Op-Art is an art based on perspectives of spectators. Anonymity in the Op-Art fashion enhances participation of spectators. which gives Op-Art a sense of affinity. Third, through the feeling of mobility created by optical illusion techniques. the Op-Art fashion expresses the opposition to the ideal body image made by power group. In post-modern society, Op-Art in fashion gives new meaning to art. Op-Art in fashion proposes new roles of artist and spectators, and new concepts of art related with roles of human beings. Through general sensibility of men, Op-art in fashion can express new recognition of the post-modern society.

Credit Card Bad Debt Prediction Model based on Support Vector Machine (신용카드 대손회원 예측을 위한 SVM 모형)

  • In this paper, credit card delinquency means the possibility of occurring bad debt within the certain near future from the normal accounts that have no debt and the problem is to predict, on the monthly basis, the occurrence of delinquency 3 months in advance. This prediction is typical binary classification problem but suffers from the issue of data imbalance that means the instances of target class is very few. For the effective prediction of bad debt occurrence, Support Vector Machine (SVM) with kernel trick is adopted using credit card usage and payment patterns as its inputs. SVM is widely accepted in the data mining society because of its prediction accuracy and no fear of overfitting. However, it is known that SVM has the limitation in its ability to processing the large-scale data. To resolve the difficulties in applying SVM to bad debt occurrence prediction, two stage clustering is suggested as an effective data reduction method and ensembles of SVM models are also adopted to mitigate the difficulty due to data imbalance intrinsic to the target problem of this paper. In the experiments with the real world data from one of the major domestic credit card companies, the suggested approach reveals the superior prediction accuracy to the traditional data mining approaches that use neural networks, decision trees or logistics regressions. SVM ensemble model learned from T2 training set shows the best prediction results among the alternatives considered and it is noteworthy that the performance of neural networks with T2 is better than that of SVM with T1. These results prove that the suggested approach is very effective for both SVM training and the classification problem of data imbalance.

  • Consumption habits of children who economic consumption habits has not been established is a very big concern for parents. According to the credit recovery committee (2006) youth consumption behavior and needs assessment of the education of, he answered that 60.9% of young people have experienced the impulse buying. Student consumption of is done in pin money to receive almost to the parent. Most of the pin money, in order to be paid in cash, is often consumed with the payment directly in the offline sales floor. Pin money is, or waste to students senseless consumption, to trick the price of the purchase goods, to parents, so as to require a greater amount without parental monitoring and agree. In this paper, we would like to propose a system to solve the problem of giving the authority to make decisions off-line payment from student to the parent.

  • This paper proposes efficient scalar multiplication algorithms based on Montgomery ladder method. The proposed algorithm represents the scalar as ternary or quaternary and applies new composite formulas utilizing only x coordinate on affine coordinate system in order to improve performance. Furthermore, side-channel atomicity mechanism is applied on the proposed composite formulas to prevent simple power analysis. The proposed methods saves at least 26% of running time with the reduced number of storage compared with existing algorithms such as window-based methods and comb-based methods.

  • The advent, course, and possible consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic are now the focus of global attention. From whichever side the geopolitical centers of influence might view it, the problem of the coronavirus concerns all world leaders and the representatives of all branches of science, especially physicians, economists, and politicians - virtually the entire population of the planet. The uniqueness of the COVID-19 phenomenon lies in the uncertainty of the problem itself, the peculiarities and specifics of the course of the biological processes in modern conditions, as well as the sharp confrontation of the main political players on the world stage. Based on an analysis of scientific research, the article describes the profile of the emotional concept of "anxiety" in Russian linguoculture. Through monitoring the headlines of Russian media reports in the "COVID-19" section of Google News and Mail News news aggregators dated August 4-6, 2021, the study establishes the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the alarm-generating news products on coronavirus in the Russian segment of the Internet and interprets the specifics of media information about COVID-19. The level of mass media criticism in Russia is determined through a phone survey. It is concluded that coronavirus reports in online media conceptualize anxiety about the SARS virus and the COVID-19 disease as a complex cognitive structure. The media abuse the trick of "magic numbers" and emotionally expressive words in news headlines, which are perceived by mass information consumers first and typically uncritically.
