  • In this paper, we propose a new multi-way circuit partitioning system that partition large circuits to progrmmable circuit board which consist of FPGAs and interconnect components. Here the routing topology among the chips are predetermined and the number of available interconnections are fixed. Since the given constraints are difficult to be satisfied by the previous partition method, we suggest a new multi-way partition method by target restriction that considers all the constraints for the given board. To speed up, we construct a multi-level cluster tree for hierarchical partitioning. Experimental results for several benchmarks show that the our partition method partition them by satisfying all the given constraints and it used up to 10 % fewer interconnections among the chips than the previous K-way partition method.

  • The traffic in the wired and wireless networks has increased exponentially because of increase of smart phone and improvement of PC performance. Multimedia services and file transmission such as Facebook, Youtube occupy a large part of the traffic. CDN is a technique that duplicates the contents on a remote web server of content provider to local CDN servers near clients and chooses the optimal CDN server for providing the content to the client in the event of a content request. In this paper, the content request message between CDN servers and the client used the SCRP algorithm utilizing the MST algorithm and the traffic throughput was optimized. The average response time for the content request is reduced by employing HC_LRU cache algorithm that improves the cache hit ratio. The proposed SCRP and HC_LRU algorithm may build a scalable content delivery network system that efficiently utilizes network resources, achieves traffic localization and prevents bottlenecks.

  • Event-detection is an important application of sensor networks. Join operations can facilitate event-detection with a condition table predefined by a user. When join operations are used for event-detection, it is desirable, if possible, to do in-network join processing to reduce communication costs. In this paper, we propose an energy-efficient in-network join algorithm, called PBA. In PBA, each partition of a condition table is stored along the path from each node to the base station, and then in-network joins are performed on the path. Since each node can identify the parts to store in its storage by its level, PBA reduces the cost of disseminating a condition table considerably Moreover, while the existing method does not work well when the ratio of the size of the condition table to the density of the network is a little bit large, our proposed method PBA does not have such a restriction and works efficiently in most cases. The results of experiments show that PBA is efficient usually and especially provides significant cost reduction over existing one when a condition table is relatively large in comparison with the density of the network, or the routing tree of the network is high.
