국내 치과 웹사이트에 대한 사용성 평가 (Evaluation of dental web site usability in Korea)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study is to evaluate the dental website usability in Korea. The dental website included dental university hospital, network dental hospital and dental office. Methods: The study was carried out by three age groups including twenties, thirties, and forties. Each group consisted of ten customers and evaluated twelve websites of dental hospitals. Each was assigned to four hospitals and three tasks including easiness of online reservation, preventive information, and treatment information. They filled out the self-administered questionnaire. The questionnaire included the easiness of on-line reservation, satisfaction on the quality and quantity of preventive informations, satisfaction on the quality and quantity of treatment informations, predictiveness on the sub-menu, usefulness of site map, information on the main page of web site, usefulness of decision on visit to dentistry, and revisit intention. Results: The easiness of on-line reservation was the highest in the private dental office, and university dental hospital and network dental hospitals followed in conducting task(1). The anticipated value and measurement on the usefulness of web site were the lowest in network dental hospitals and the time interval between two values was 57 seconds. This discrepancy showed the largest difference. The satisfaction on treatment information in task(3) was higher than that of the satisfaction on preventive information in task (2). The revisit intention was the highest in dental university hospitals. Conclusions: This study showed the comparison in usefulness of web site of university dental hospitals, network dental hospitals and private dental office. The web site focused on the treatment information rather than preventive information. This study suggested that the most important function of dental web site would be the preventive information that was mainly operated by the role of dental hygienists rather than treatment information in the future.

Evaluation of subjective satisfaction of dental implant patients

  • Objectives: The goal of this study was to estimate the overall satisfaction level of dental implant patients and further evaluate factors influencing satisfaction. Materials and Methods: Self-administered questionnaires were mailed to patients who received dental implant therapy at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital (Seongnam, Korea) from October 2003 to April 2005. The main portion of the questionnaire was shared to evaluate the level of satisfaction with implant therapy. The questionnaires contained evaluations of influencing factors, which were classified as pain-related, service-related, and complication-related. Results: The responses from 93 patients (41 males, 52 females) with a total of 325 implants were included in the analysis, and the mean score for overall satisfaction level with implant therapy was 8.26. Female patients showed higher visual analogue scale (VAS) scores for both pain during (P=0.000) and after implant surgery (P=0.016). Male patients showed more 'negative' values for the reasonability of treatment cost (P=0.008) and the adequacy of the treatment period (P=0.022). Conclusion: The subjective satisfaction of patients was influenced by various factors, especially complication-related factors.

하지부 궤양 치험 1례 (A Case Study on Lower Extremity Ulcer)

  • Objectives : The aim of this study is to report a case showing rapid skin regeneration and recovery by applying Korean medicine treatment to lower extremity ulcer. Methods : We treated a female patient with idiopathic right leg ulcer by Korean medicine treatment such as herbal medicine, acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, Coptidis Rhizoma distillate wet dressing, and Jawoongo application. The treatment effect was evaluated by visual observation through photography, measurement of the area of the affected area, NRS(Numeral Rating Scale) for the level of discomfort, DLQI(Dermatology life quality index), and treatment satisfaction. Results : After Korean medicine treatment, recovery of skin tissue, reduction in affected area, and decrease in NRS for discomfort and DLQI were observed, and satisfaction with Korean medicine treatment was also high at 80%. Conclusions : This study shows that Korean medicine treatment can be effective in treating skin ulcers. We hope that research of Korean medicine treatment on skin ulcers will be promoted in the future.

치열교정환자의 진료인식에 따른 만족과 추천에 미치는 영향 (The Effects on Satisfaction and Recommendation according to Orthodontic Patients' Perception of Treatment)

  • 본 연구는 교정 진료를 받은 경험이 있는 교정이 완료된 환자의 대상으로 치열교정환자의 교정치료에 따른 진료인식이 교정치료를 하는데 만족과 추천에 미치는 영향을 조사하여 교정환자를 전문으로 하는 의료기관에 정보를 제공하고자 2010년 2월부터 8월까지 조사한 것으로 SAS ver. 9.1 분석결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 조사대상자의 치과의료기관 이용특성으로는 삐뚤어진 치아교정이 43.9%로 가장 많았으며, 교정치료예상기간으로는 1년 6개월~2년이 53.3%로 과반수 이상으로 나타났으며, 교정이 완료 후 경과시간은 23.5%인 6~12개월이 지난 환자들이 많았고, Angle의 부정교합으로는 I급이 63.4%로 가장 많았고, 임상적 부정교합으로는 42.4%인 총생이 가장 많았다. 2. 대상자의 치과진료 협조도와 진료서비스 만족도, 본 의원 추천도, 편의시설 만족도들의 상관분석 결과에서는 각각의 항목들 간에 모두 유의한 양의 상관관계가 나타났다. 3. 교정치료에 대한 진료인식에 있어서는 교정치료 장치의 불편이 79.3%로 대상자의 대부분이 인식하고 있었으며, 교정치료 중 불편사항에 대해서도 69.8%로가 인식하고 있으며, 61.6%가 예상한 만큼 교정치료비가 나왔으며, 교정치료 중 내원횟수가 72.8%가 적절했다고 나타났으며, 교정치료의 기간도 61.2%로가 적절하다고 나타났고, 교정치료 중 진료내용의 이해에서도 62.6%가 이해하는 것으로 나타났다. 4. 일반적 특성에 따른 교정치료에 대한 진료인식도 비교에서는 남자보다 여자가 교정치료 장치의 불편인식도(p<0.05), 교정치료 중 불편사항이(p<0.05) 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이에 교정환자는 교정치료 시작 전에서 교정치료를 하는 동안에 여러 가지 필요한 사항들은 미리 인식함으로써 좀 더 만족스럽고, 효율적으로 교정치료를 받을 수 있음은 물론이고, 지인들에게 의료기관을 추천할 것으로 사료된다.

임플란트 시술에 대한 환자의 기능별 만족도 (Patients' Functional Satisfaction of Dental Implant Treatment)

  • 본 연구는 임플란트 시술에 대한 환자의 기능별 만족도를 파악하고 이와 관련된 요인을 분석함으로써 환자만족도 향상에 도움이 될 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하고자 시행되었다. 2007년 1월 3일부터 9월 30일 까지 서울 인천 경기도에 소재한 치과 의료기관에서 임플란트를 식립한 환자를 대상으로 설문조사를 하였으며, 최종 분석은 120부(92.3%)를 사용하였다. 수집한 자료는 t-test와 ANOVA 분석, Pearson 상관분석을 수행하였으며, 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 일반적 특성에 따른 각 기능별 만족도는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 2. 자가 구강위생관리에 따른 각 기능별 만족도의 차이를 분석한 결과 정기적으로 치석을 제거하고 일일잇솔질 횟수가 4회 이상인 집단에서 사회적 기능 및 심미적 기능에 대한 만족도가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다(p < .05). 3. 저작기능에 대한 만족도는 소구치 부위에 식립하였을 때 가장 높았고, 사회적 심미적 기능에 대한 만족도는 전치 부위에서 가장 높았으나 통계적인 유의성은 없었다. 4. 사회적 기능과 심미적 기능에 대한 만족도는 치과병원에서 가장 높았으며 다음은 치과의원, 종합병원순으로 나타났다(p < .05).5. 저작기능과 사회적 기능, 심미적 기능 및 총만족도는 서로 양(+)의 상관관계를 보였고, 특히 총만족도와 사회적 기능의 만족도간에 상관계수가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다(p < .01).

일부 복지관 장애인치과 내원 환자들의 서비스 만족도 및 진료 후 변화 인식도 연구 (A study on quality of handicapped inpatients' service satisfaction at special dental clinic and their transformed perceptions toward to the dental treatment services)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is about discovering the basic references to find the ways to vitalize handicapped dental clinics. Methods : The study was analyzed by the satisfactions of those patients who took the advantages of using the dental care at B-welfare center and also their transformed perceptions after the services are influenced. The analysis was the questionnaire consisting of 100 items and survey data. Results : 1. The satisfaction of the dental service for the disabled was respectively high which was the average of 4.49. 2. Their satisfactions of receiving kindness services by volunteers and employees were the highest in the entire research of successful handicapped dental services and it was 4.78 overall. 3. The satisfaction of using handicapped dental clinic has the higher range of female users than male's. In the mean time treatment details of the dental care and the satisfaction towards to the volunteers and faculty at the center show the statistical significance gap. 4. The oral care service after experiencing the dental clinic for handicapped relived their discomforts of using the regular dental clinic which shows their highest satisfaction as it is the point of 4.75. 5. the change perception after dental treatment for handicapped has the higher range of females than men's and solving the problems of mouth reference and discomfort of using regular clinics show the statistical significance gap. 6. In the change perception after having dental treatment for handicapped the thought of the possibility of periodical dental care shows the highest perception when the number of visiting is usually shorter and it shows the statistical significance. Conclusions : According to the satisfaction of those inpatients who use free dental care services that belong to dental clinics for handicapped in a part of Seoul welfare centers human services were appeared as the most important factor due to their advantages of taking services from volunteers and staff members. On the other hand to enhance the medical treatment information and environment which showed the weakest factors each inpatient should be specifically specialized for their needs and also further study on plans which enhance their perceptions toward to a better quality of oral-related life is required after using dental treatment service.

한국에서 우울증의 비약물학적 치료의 현황과 요구도 (The Current Status and Requirements for Non-pharmacological Treatment of Depression in Korea)

  • Objectives : As a part of plan to develop evidence-based treatment guidelines for depression that is more suitable for Korean situation, we investigate the present status and client's requirements for non-pharmacological treatment of depression in Korean clinical situation. Methods : Subjects were patients with depression in 12 university hospitals which are located in metropolises in Korea. We analyzed the records from questionnaires about current clinical status and requirements for the non-pharmacological treatment of depression in Korea. Results : 50.8% of the subjects have experienced non-pharmacological treatments for their depression. The preference of non-pharmacological treatment method of depression is exercise/interesting activity, counseling by psychiatrists and psychotherapy, and the best effective treatment method is psychotherapy (Es=4.36). Actually, the mean consultation time by psychiatrist is $11.31{\pm}7.16$ min, and the appropriate consultation time for client's situation is $18.39{\pm}8.95$ min. During consultation, patients' satisfaction measurement for psychiatrist's explanation about pharmacological treatment is $64.17{\pm}27.11$, and satisfaction measurement for psychiatrist's counseling for their depression about personal problems, resent stress, interpersonal relationship is $61.66{\pm}26.63$. Conclusion : In Korea, many psychiatrists offered biologically oriented treatment to their patients with depression, and patients' satisfaction measurement about consultation by psychiatrists is low. Many patients wanted to combined pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment for their depression, and aspired to information about complementary and self-help treatment methods. It is necessary to develop non-pharmacological treatment guideline for depression which reflect the clinical situation in Korea and meet Korean patients' need.

교정환자의 치과의료서비스 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting the Satisfaction Level of Orthodontic Patients with Dental Service)

  • 본 연구는 교정환자를 대상으로 의료서비스에 대한 만족도를 조사하여 교정환자의 다양한 요구와 치과의료기관의 경쟁력 강화를 위한 정보를 제공하고자 2008년 12월 3일부터 20일까지 부산지역 Y치과의원, 대구지역 B치과의원의 교정내원환자 226명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며 SPSSWIN 14.0을 이용하여 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 치과의원을 선택한 이유로는 '주위의 소개'가 50.7%로 가장 많았으며, 전체의 절반정도인 47.8%가 불만사항이 있을 때 '이야기 하는 편이다'라고 응답하였다. 교정치료 후 기대하는 것은 '가지런한 치아배열' 58.3%로 가장 많았으며, 교정치료 후 치아건강에 대한 기대로는 80.9%가 많이 혹은 아주 많이 나아질 것으로 기대하고 있었다. 교정치료 후 가장 하고 싶은 치료로는 미백이 70.6%로 가장 많았다. 2. 진료서비스 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미친 요인으로는 직원(치과위생사) 만족도가 가장 크고, 편의시설 만족도, 진료비 만족도, 치과의사 만족도, 친절성 만족도 순이었다. 3. 다른 사람에 대한 권유의사에 영향을 미친 요인으로는 진료비 만족도가 가장 크고, 치과의사 만족도, 직원(치과위생사) 만족도 순이었다. 교정환자가 원하는 치과의료서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 치과의료진의 지속적인 치과진료서비스 교육과 친절교육이 이루어져 교정환자의 요구도를 만족시켜야 할 것으로 사료된다.

교통사고 환자 131례에 대한 한방치료 만족도 조사 (Survey on Satisfaction of Korean Medicine Treatment in 131 Cases by Traffic Accident)

  • Objectives : We investigate to identify the satisfaction degree of patients by traffic accident(TA) for improving the quality of services and fortifying the competitiveness of Korean medical hospital on TA patients. Methods : The survey used by preceding articles was accepted for assessment of the satisfaction degree of patients in this study. All data were coded by SPSS v18.0 and analyzed by descriptive maneuver, ${\chi}^2$-test, T-test and correlation. Results : According to the survey, 84% of patients included this study were hospitalized in the Korean medical hospital within 2 weeks from TA and 92.3% were satisfied with the current medical service. The answer that Korean medicine is superior to western medicine for TA treatment was the main reason for selecting Korean medical hospital. 35.1% of patients satisfied Chuna treatment and 42.9% unsatisfied herbal medicine. There were no differences in the satisfaction degree with sex, age, education and occupation. The satisfaction degree of the current Korean medical service was significantly correlated with doctor's service, use the procedure and reuse intention. Conclusions : It is necessary to develop and to apply the customer satisfaction program for the Korean medicine hospital on TA patients.

고정성 치열교정장치 장착환자의 구강보건 지식 및 행태와 교정만족도의 관련성 (Relationship between oral health knowledge, behavior and satisfaction of fixed orthodontic treatment in orthodontic patients)

  • This study investigated the relationship between oral health knowledge, behavior and orthodontic satisfaction in orthodontic patients visiting dental hospitals and clinics and provided suggestions to improve orthodontic patients' satisfaction. This study anayzed structured self-administered questionnaires collected from 245 patients who visited 5 dental clinics in Gwangju Metropolitan City. Regarding oral health knowledge, the highest percentage of correct answers was for the item "Cavities heal themselves over time" (97.1%), and the lowest percentage of correct answers was for the item "Cavity bacteria move from tooth to tooth" (16.7%). Five fluoride items showed a lower percentage of correct answers than those for cavity and gingival diseases. Regarding the survey on oral health behavior, the highest score was found for the item "I brush my teeth with a certain method and order" (3.78 out of 5), and the lowest score was found for the item "I use an electric toothbrush" (1.34 out of 5). Regarding the survey on orthodontic satisfaction, the highest score was found for the item "I would recommend receiving medical treatment at the department of orthodontics" (4.23), and the lowest score was found for the item "Orthodontic cost is reasonable" (3.46). While oral health behavior had on orthodontic satisfaction, oral health knowledge had no effect on it. Oral health behaviors should be improved to enhance orthodontic satisfaction. To improve oral health behavior, it is necessary to develop and activate education programs for tooth brushing and oral care for orthodontic patients.
