  • Statement of the problem: The cold-cured resins used in fabrication of the provisional crown and fixed partial dentures could cause pulpal damage by heat generated during exothermic polymerization reactions. Purpose: In this in vitro study investigates the how external conditions such as material of the matrix, thickness of the matrix and thickness of dentin affect the temperature of the tooth during polymerization reaction of the cold-cured resins. Material and methods : To measure the temperature of the resin, metal die was maintained to the temperature of $37^{\circ}C$ with water bath to simulate the temperature of thetooth and thermocouple was placed in the center of the metal die. Acrylic pipe was cut in height of 1, 2, 3, 6, 10 mm and placed on the metal die and mixed resin was pored in the acrylic pipe As the resin polymerized temperature was recorded with the thermometer. Temperature of the resin using matrix was recorded by using the individual tray relieved in different thickness 2, 5, 7, 10 mm. The material of the matrix was irreversible hydrocolloid impression material, vinyl polysilloxane impression material and vacuum-formed template Temperature rise of the resin using different thickness of tooth section was record ed by placing tooth section on the metal die and placing resin over the tooth section. Results : Conclusion : 1. Temperature rise increased as the thickness of the resin increased but there was no significant differences over 3 mm thickness of the resin. 2. The lowest temperature rise was showed in irreversible hydrocolloid impression material and vinyl polysilloxane impression material vacuum-formed template as in orders. 3, Temperature rise of the resin decreased regardless of the thickness of the matrix when vinyl polysilloxane impression material was used as the matrix. 4 When irreversible hydrocolloid impression material was used as matrix, the temperature rise of the resin decreased as the thickness of the matrix increased and there was no temperature rise when thickness of the matrix reached 10 mm, 5. The temperature rise of the resin did not decreased when Polypropylene vacuum-formed template was used as the matrix. 6, The temperature of the resin increased as the thickness of the dentin decreased.

참외 접목방법이 플러그 묘 소질과 정식 후 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Grafting Methods on Plug Seedling Quality, Growth after Transplanting and Yield of Oriental Melon (Cucumis melo L. var. makuwa Mak.))

  • 시설참외 32공 플러그트레이 육묘시 접목방법이 따른 묘 소질과 정식 후 생육과 수량에 미치는 영향을 구명코자하였다. 접목방법은 관행의 호접과 편엽합접 및 단근편엽합접을 실시하였다. 접목 후 15일 후 묘소질은 호접이 엽수와 엽면적에서 높았으나 이후 점차 감소되어 접목 후 20일에는 초장, 경경, 엽록소함량이 비슷하였고, 접목 후 25일에는 단근편엽합접에서 초장, 엽수, 엽면적 등 지상부 생육이 가장 높았으며 지하부도 근건중이 높아 T/R율이 가장 낮은 경향을 보여 정식 전 묘 소질이 가장 좋게 나타났다. 본포 생육은 초장, 엽수, 엽면적 그리고 건물중에서 정식 후 30일 단근편엽합접이 가장 높았으며 첫 개화소요일수도 38.4일로 가장 빨랐다. 그러나 과실의 품질은 과중, 당도. 경도, 색도에서 접목방법별 차이가 없었다 따라서 접목방법의 차이가묘 소질과 정식 후 초기생육과 수량에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 접목방법의 전환이 요구되는 것으로 나타났다.

오이와 토마토 유묘의 생육에 미치는 재활용 배지의 영향 (Effect of Reused Substrates on the Growth of Cucumber and Tomato Seedlings)

  • 오이의 생육과 과실의 품질에 미치는 재활용 폐암면, 피트모스, 밤나무 파쇄입자 및 이들의 혼합배지의 효과를 실험한 바 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 플러그 트레이(72공)를 이용한 오이와 토마토 육묘용 배지 시험에서 재활용 폐암면과 밤나무 파쇄입자 단용배지 그리고 각각을 피트모스와 혼합한 6가지 처리(1:1, 1:2, 1:3, v/v), 총 8종류의 배지를 이용하였다. 그 결과 재활용 폐암면과 피트모스를 1:2(v/v)로 혼합한 구에서 오이와 토마토 모두에서 묘의 생육이 가장 좋았다. 공시한 배지의 화학적 특성을 분석한 결과 유기성 배지를 혼합한 구에서 양이온치환용량과 EC 등이 다소 높았다. 밤나무 파쇄입자 단용 및 혼합처리구에서는 오이와 토마토 묘의 생장이 심하게 억제되었는데, 특히 토마토묘의 억제효과가 컸다. 이상의 결과로 미루어 재활용 폐암면이 오이와 토마토의 육묘용 배지로 이용가능성이 매우 크다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

단호박 착과율 향상을 위한 한라산 중산간지 육묘효과 (Raising Seedling at Hallasan Area of Sub-Alpine Improved Fruiting Rate of Squash (Cucurbita maxima))

  • 단호박의 억제재배시 착과율 향상 및 유인노력 절감을 위한 한라산 중산간지(해발 600m) 육묘 효과를 검토 하였다. 정식직전 묘의 T/R율은 평지 육묘 9.5로 도장된 경향을 보였으나 중산간지 육묘에서는 5.4로 건실한 묘 생육을 보였다. 육묘 지역에 따른 1번 암꽃의 착생 위치는 평지 육묘 26.0마디에 비하여 중산간지 육묘 19.4마디로 크게 낮아졌으며 2번 암꽃 및 그 이후에 착생되는 암꽃들도 평지 육묘에 비하여 3$\sim$5마디 아래에서 착생되어 유인노력을 20% 정도 절감할 수 있었다. 2번과 착과율은 중산간지 육묘 17.2%로 평지 육묘 1.4%에 비하여 16%정도향상 되었다. 상품 수량의 경우 평지 육묘 3,500kg/10a에 비하여 중산간지 4,460kg/10a로 27%가 증가하여 한라산 중산간지를 이용한 여름철 육묘 효과가 크게 나타났다.

  • The costume of any nation is an attribute of a culture. This study concerns chinese and Mongolian costume's 'collar' form according to the observation of some reports about import folk materials and the pictures of the genuine objects, the author has investigated and rearranged them focusing on 13th Century's. 1. Traditional OverCoat or National costume on the poing of won dynasty in china such as Jacket, Coat, Mantle for making classical matching color, lacing, pearl pieces, and all costume shall be properly decorated and disigned. The example, Chinese Women's Gown and Double Jacket, on top of alignment of plaid, focus shall be placed on chinese classical form and color-matching, such as flowers and bireds, butterflies, made wishing ornaments, which shall be either hand painted or embroidered on collars, fronts, sleeves openings, and lower portion of gown. 2. Mongolian Costume, the stone status of a person, are seen at the territory of the Republic of Mongolia was a powerful country of Asia. So during the Mongolian Empire a lot of Missions from many countries came to kharakorom for establishing official relations between Mongolia and a country represented by mission. In particularly, the costume of mongols on the point of Chinggis khan Empire which the upper clothes in cluded ; a several kinds of the Caftan as compared with in Korea as to material (Silk caftan, Cotton Caftan, Fur Caftan) with closing to the right due to overlapping and Stand-up-Shawl Collars will pancho style & Round or V Neckline. 3. As compared with in Korea it is said that this a sort of Simui was brought in prior to the middle of Koryeo dynasty. Korean Simui system was complied with chinese system through confucian domestic behaviour. This was respected for court dress of confucian scholars, as it was, Chumri can ordinary dress of schloars) and Hakchangui ( a uniform of confucian student). Generally its form or shape of the outer lapels of Korean jacket were used together Squar-Tray-Collar. In late Yi-dynasty the inside collar length was longer than the outside collar length and the width of the collar was gradually narrow. And so the Traditional costume's outer collar of Jacket and OverCoat became small while the width and length of breast-tie became large. The same thing as the form of the collar on these days had been appeared by the design method or adjust one's dress. Therefore the form of collar in the china and Mongolian Traditional OverCoat & National Costume is fix arranged according to Stand up Collar, Without Collar, Clothing to the Right, Central opening, Horizontal Row of Button with Round or V Neckline and so on.

포장재와 저장온도에 따른 소포장 김치의 품질특성 (Quality Characteristics of Small Package Kimchi according to Packing Material and Storage Temperature)

  • Cabbage (Baechu) Kimchi in its truncated form was placed in four different packing materials, Ny/PE/LLDP, OPP/AL/PE, PP and PET, and quality changes were observed during storage. Changes in pH and total acidity showed an x-shaped cross-curve as pH decreased and total acidity increased during storage. PP tray showed the slowest change at $5^{\circ}C$ with time. The pH was initially 6.25, but decreased to 4.12~4.16 at 20 days, and total acidity showed a 4 to 4.8-fold increase after 20 days of storage compared to the initial value. During storage at $5^{\circ}C$, total bacterial count and lactic acid bacterial count rapidly increased after 4 days. The total bacterial quantity decreased after a period of time and there were differences according to packaging material; OPP/AL/PE packaging showed the most dramatic decrease. Change in microbial count mostly followed a similar pattern to that of total acidity for all packaging materials. Changes in the color of Kimchi liquid, when examined by color index in $L{\cdot}b$/a form, rapidly decreased over time, similar to pH. Small Ny/PE/PP and OPP/AL/PE packages of Kimchi were examined for changes in free volume inside the packaging. After 13 days of storage at $5^{\circ}C$, the volume was 243 mL, but storage at $20^{\circ}C$ resulted in a volume of 372 mL, a more than 1.5-fold increase in free volume. There were changes in the quality characteristics of small package Kimchi according to storage temperature and packaging material, and large changes in pH, total acidity, and microbial count were evident upon storage at $5^{\circ}C$ for 8 days, which was the optimum palatability period. Mostly, PP treatment showed the slowest quality changes upon storage at $5^{\circ}C$. However, due to small package Kimchi's fast consumption system, the appropriate choice of packaging material must consider the product's turnover ratio. Further, the varieties of small package Kimchi should be diversified according to different consumer preferences by offering Kimchi with different maturity levels. Further, since the leading consumer base ranges in age from the teens to thirties, the development of various products targeting such consumers is necessary.

Study on functional improvement of peanut sprouts by LEDs

  • The research was carried out to investigate a total polyphenol content, antioxidant activity, amino acid and resveratrol content of peanut sprouts (cotyledon, epicotyl, leaf, hypocotyl, root), in different light (white, blue, red, F-red, UV-A, UV-B, UV-C) conditions for 24 hours. Peanut seeds were sown on a $27.5{\times}15.9{\times}13cm$ tray and grown at the $25^{\circ}C$ under the dark condition for 14 days. Total polyphenolic contents of epicotyl and leaf were about 288mg GAE/100g in blue light. The DPPH radical scavenging of cotyledon and hypocotyl were 1.3~1.5 times (63%) and 2 times (40%) compared to control (43%, 19%), respectively. As to ABTS activity, its activity was increased by all LEDs treatment, Especially, the highest ABTS activity of the hypocotyl and leaf was shown as 99.1% in blue light. The essential amino acid content of hypocotyl and leaf was increased 1.9 times in the UV-B, 1.6 times in red, and 1.5 times in F-red, respectively. The non-essential amino acid content was increased by all LEDs treatment in hypocotyl and leaf. The content of resveratrol was increased by 1.3 times in UV-B compared to that of other tissues. Assessing inclusively, this study showed that there was a significantly positive effect between increase of physiological substance activity and LED light treatment, resulting in stably producing peanut sprouts. Therefore, a material treated with LEDs is thought to be useful as a functional food resources.

Effect of plant growth regulators on soybean and red bean seedling growth

  • In recent years the growth rates of world agricultural production and crop yields have slowed because of rapid urbanization but the agriculture mechanization implies the use of various power sources and improved farm tools and equipment to enhance the efficiency of utilization of various crop input. Therefore the current study was conducted to investigate the growth characteristics of seedlings treated with plant growth regulators for the production of seeds suitable for mechanical formulations of soybeans and red beans. The seeds of Uram bean and Arary red bean were sown in 128 well plug tray as the testing varieties. Three growth inhibitors such as 0.05% hexaconazole, prohexadion-calcium, and 0.1% diniconazole were treated and fifteen representative plants were collected from each treatment at 2, 5, 7, 13, 16, 17, 19, and 20 days interval after treatment. The collected plants were examined for the growth atributes such as plant height, root length, leaf area and chlorophyll. The growth promoter was treated at the 13th day after treatment with growth inhibitor and treated with 0.1% concentration of Pomina ($GA_{4+7}$ 1.8% + 6-benzylaminopurine 1.8%) and Nonaji (gibberellic acid 2% + $GA_{4+7}$ 2%). Initially the growth data was recorded to examine the effect of growth inhibitor, while after treatment with growth promoters, the growth attributes were recorded at 4th and 7th day. As a result of measuring the growth parameter of soybean, the inhibitory effect was shown in the aerobic treatment at the ground level at the 7th day after treatment. At the 4th day of growth promoting agents treatment, the stimulation effect of non - treated plants was greater than that of formalin treatments. As a result of measuring the growth attributes of red bean, In the latter part of the growth, at the 4th day after the growth promoter treatment. This study was able to confirm the effective growth regulators and treatment periods for each crop, and it was possible to control the growth of seedlings. Based on these results, it can be expected that the basis of seedling production technology of crops which is necessary for sowing and transplantation mechanization of agriculturle field can be established.

고산소 환경기체조절 포장조건에 따른 설향 딸기의 저장 중 품질변화 (Storage Quality of Sulhyang Strawberries as Affected by High O2 Atmosphere Packaging)

  • 신선한 딸기 상품의 유통, 판매 중 부패억제 및 품질유지를 위한 고산소 환경기체조절 포장기법의 활용 가능성을 확인하고자 국내산 설향 품종의 딸기를 대상으로 다양한 산소농도 조건을 적용하여 플라스틱 포장용기에 밀봉한 후 $5^{\circ}C$에 저장하면서 품질변화와 미생물 생균수를 살펴보았다. 고산소 조건에서 딸기의 호흡률은 $O_2$ 함량이 높을수록 $O_2$ 소비율은 증가하지만 $CO_2$ 생성율은 크게 다르지 않은 비정상적인 호기호흡이 일어났다. 저온저장 중 포장 내부의 기체조성은 $O_2$의 경우 초기 $O_2$ 농도가 높을수록 저장 중 높게 유지되었으나 $CO_2$$O_2$ 농도에 상관없이 고농도로 축적되었다. 딸기의 품질인자 가운데 생체중량은 대조구인 통기 포장구에서만 3.0% 이상 감소하였고 기체조성에 상관없이 밀폐 포장구에서는 1% 이하로 유지되었다. 과육의 pH, 산도, 가용성 고형분 함량 및 경도, 과피 표면색 변화에서도 산소농도 조건에 따른 유의적 차이를 구분할 수 없었다. 한편, 통기 포장구에서는 곰팡이 발생률이 높았던 반면 병원성 미생물의 생균수가 가장 낮았고, 짓무름 현상이 많았던 밀폐 포장구에서는 통기 포장구와 상반된 미생물 동태 양상을 나타내었다. 딸기의 외관 변화는 저장 6일까지 40%, 60% $O_2$의 고산소 조건에서 비교적 높은 점수를 얻었으나 이후에는 오히려 PE 밀봉포장구보다 낮은 평가를 받았고, 전반적으로는 저장 중 6-15% 저산소와 7-9% 고이산화탄소의 MA 조건이 형성된 PE 필름포장구가 가장 높은 점수를 얻어 고산소 조건의 차단성포장보다는 딸기의 품질유지에 효과적인 조건임을 확인할 수 있었다.

화본과 관상용 그래스의 종자처리와 플러그 묘 생산 (Seed Treatment and Plug Production of Ornamental Grasses (Gramineae spp.))

  • 유전자원으로서의 화본과(Gramineae) 관상용 그래스 식물의 번식을 위한 대량생산체계 확립 및 향후 농가소득 작물로의 개발을 목표로 3가지 화본과 관상용 그래스(ornamental grass)의 종자 발아촉진과 플러그 묘 생산에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 종자처리에 의한 새(Arundinella hirta var. ciliate Kodiz)의 최종 발아율은 NaOCl 4% 농도로 60분 처리구가 52.6%로 나타났으며, NaOH 4% 농도로 30분 처리구가 49.4%로 가장 높았다. Switchgrass(Panicum virgatum)는 NaOCl 4% 농도로 10분 처리구가 20.3%의 발아율을 보였고, NaOH 2% 농도로 60분 처리구가 22.4%로 가장 높았다. 수크령(Pennisetum alpecuroides)은 NaOCl 4% 농도로 60% 처리구가 98.4%의 발아율을 보였고, NaOH는 4% 농도로 30분 처리구가 98.5%로 가장 높았다. 플러그 묘 생산 분석결과 구의 크기가 동일할 경우 초종별로는 수크령이 약 21일(162구)~30일(40구)로 가장 빠르게 형성되었다. 새의 플러그 형성 시점은 약 32일(162구)~44일(40구)로 Switchgrass 32일(162구)~40일(40구)과 비슷하게 나타났다. 3초종 모두 구의 크기가 작을수록 플러그 형성시점이 빠르게 나타났으나, 크기가 클수록 생장 기간이 길어지는 경향을 보였다.
