시간단위 차량통행 속도정보의 활용을 위한 구역분할 방법의 연구 (A Study on Area Division Method to use the Hour-based Vehicle Speed Information)

  • This research is about developing an efficient solution procedure for the vehicle routing problem under varying vehicle moving speeds for hour-based time interval. Different moving speeds for every hour is too difficult condition to solve for this type of combinatorial optimization problem. A methodology to divide the 12 hour based time interval offered by government into 5 different time intervals and then divide delivery area into 12 small divisions first and then re-organizing them into 5 groups. Then vehicle moving speeds are no longer varying in each of the 5 divisions. Therefore, a typical TSP solution procedure may be applied to find the shortest path for all 5 divisions and then connect the local shortest paths to form a delivery path for whole area. Developed solution procedures are explained in detail with 60 points example.

  • Optical fiber systems play an essential role In today's telecommunications networks. The recently standardized SONET technology has made a ring structure the preferred architecture for inter-city communication networks. In designing a SONET with ring structure, we consider inserting optional cites, which are not necessary in constructing the SONET, but cost-effective in connecting essential nodes in the ring. This problem is modeled as Steiner ring problem. Efficient heuristic procedures are developed based on the procedures for the traveling salesman problem. Computational results show that the proposed algorithm is excellent compared to the optimal solution. The error bound by the proposed method is 2 - 6% in experimented problems.

  • Sequential Ordering Problem(SOP)은 여러 개의 도시를 방문함에 있어 '어떤 도시를 다른 도시보다 먼저 방문해야 한다'는 선행제약이 있는 비대칭 순회 세일즈맨 문제(Traveling Salesman Problem)로서, 주어진 선행 제약을 만족하면서 모든 도시를 한번씩만 경유하는 가장 짧은 경로를 찾는 NP-Complete에 속하는 문제이다. 유전자 알고리즘은 SOP와 같은 조합 최적화문제에 대해 유용한 메타휴리스틱의 한가지이다. 본 논문에서는 SOP에 유전자 알고리즘을 적용할 때, 선행제약을 만족하는 해를 생성하는데 사용할 수 있는 선행관계유지 유전 연산자를 소개하고 이를 비교한다. 비교하는 유전 연산자는 선행관계유지 교차연산자, 선행관계유지 순서기반 교차연산자, 최대부분순서/임의삽입 연산자, 선행관계유지 간선재결합 연산자이다.

Energy-efficient charging of sensors for UAV-aided wireless sensor network

  • Lack of sufficient battery capacity is one of the most important challenges impeding the development of wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Recent innovations in the areas of wireless energy transfer and rechargeable batteries have made it possible to advance WSNs. Therefore, in this article, we propose an energy-efficient charging of sensors in a WSN scenario. First, we have formulated the problem as an integer linear programming (ILP) problem. Then a utility function-based greedy algorithm named UGreedy/UF1 is proposed for solving the problem. Finally, the performance of UGreedy/UF1 is analyzed along with other baseline algorithms: UGreedy/UF2, 2-opt TSP, and Greedy TSP. The simulation results show that UGreedy/UF1 performs better than others both in terms of the deadline missing ratio of sensors and the total energy consumption of UAVs.

부품 조립 공정에서 경로의 최적화 알고리즘 (Optimal Algorithm of Path in the Part-Matching Process)

  • In this paper, we propose a Hopfield model for solving the part-matching in case that is the number of parts and positions are changed. The goal of this paper is to minimize part-connection in pairs and total path of part-connections. Therefore, this kind of problem is referred to as a combinatiorial optimization problem. First of all, we review the theoretical basis for Hopfield model and present two optimal algorithms of part-matching. The first algorithm is Traveling Salesman Problem(TSP) which improved the original and the second algorithm is Wdighted Matching Problem (WMP). Finally, we show demonstration through com- puter simulation and analyze the stability and feasibility of the generated solutions for the proposed con- nection methods. Therefore, we prove that the second algorithm is better than the first algorithm.

  • In this paper, the TSP(traveling salesman problem) which its costs(distance) between nodes are defined with Max($\bar{x}$, $\bar{y}$) has been dealt. In order to find a satisfactory solution for this kind of problem, we generate weighted matrix, and then develope a new heuristic problem solving method using the weighted matrix. Also we analyze the effectiveness of the newly developed heuristic method comparing it with other heuristic algorithm already exists for Euclidean TSP. Finally, we apply a new developed algorithm to real Max($\bar{x}$,$\bar{y}$) TSP such as PCB inserting.

  • In this paper, we introduce a new genetic reordering operator based on the concept of schema to solve optimization problems such as the Traveling Salesman Problem(TSP) and maximizing or minimizing functions. In particular, because TSP is a well-known combinational optimization problem andbelongs to a NP-complete problem, there is huge solution space to be searched. For robustness to local minima, the operator separates selected strings into two parts to reduce the destructive probability of good building blocks. And it applies inversion to the schema part to prevent the premature convergence. At the same time, it searches new spaces of solutions. Additionally, the non-schema part is applied to inversion for robustness to local minima. By doing so, we can preserve diversity of the distributions in population and make GA be adaptive to the dynamic environment.

4개 시간구간에 의한 가변속도 차량경로해법 (A Possible Heuristic for Variable Speed Vehicle Routing Problem with 4 Time Zone)

  • A possible heuristic to solve metropolitan area vehicle routing problems with variable vehicle speeds is suggested in this research. Delivery hours are classified into 4 different time zones to make variable vehicle speeds no change within the same time zone to make TDVRP simple to solve. The suggested heuristic consists of 2 stages such as initial solution development step and initial solution improvement step. A computer program using C++ is constructed to evaluate the suggested heuristic. Randomly generated vehicle routing problems are used for the experiments. This heuristic could be helpful to logistics companies by increasing delivery efficiencies since the 4 zone classification is taken from the observed traffic information offered by a local government.

  • 게임이나 네비게이션 시스템, 관광경로 설계에 있어서 경로찾기는 매우 중요한 부분 중의 하나이다. 일반적으로 TSP(Traveling Salesman Problem), RPP(Rural Postman Problem), CPP(Chinese Postman Problem)와 같은 경로찾기 문제들은 일반적인 알고리즘으로 최적해를 구할 수 없다. 문제크기가 커질수록 해집합이 폭발적으로 커짐으로써 전체 해집합을 탐색하는데 많은 비용이 든다. 따라서, 이러한 문제들은 유전알고리즘이나 Simulated Annealing과 같은 휴리스틱 알고리즘을 이용하여 근사최적 경로를 찾는다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 경로찾기 문제의 근사 최적해를 구하기 위한 시뮬레이션 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 본 연구에서 구현한 시뮬레이션 시스템에는 유전알고리즘 엔진(GA 엔진)과 사용자 인터페이스를 제공한다. 사용자 인터페이스는 유전알고리즘에 사용될 파라미터를 설정하는 부분이며, GA 엔진은 유전알고리즘의 연산자들을 제공하는 부분이다. 본 논문에서 구현한 시뮬레이션 시스템은 게임과 같은 경로찾기 등에 활용될 수 있다.

선행순서결정문제를 위한 Out-of-Kilter 해법의 적용과 부분순환로의 제거 (Elimination of Subtours Obtained by the Out-of-Kilter Algorithm for the Sequential Ordering Problem)

  • This paper presents two elimination methods of subtours, which is obtained by applying the Out-of-Kilter algorithm to the sequential ordering problem (SOP) to produce a feasible solution for the SOP. Since the SOP is a kind of asymmetric traveling salesman problem (ATSP) with precedence constraints, we can apply the Out-of-Kilter algorithm to the SOP by relaxing the precedence constraints. Instead of patching subtours, both of two elimination methods construct a feasible solution of the SOP by using arcs constructing the subtours, and they improve solution by running 3-opt and 4-opt at each iteration. We also use a perturbation method. cost relaxation to explore a global solution. Six cases from two elimination methods are presented and their experimental results are compared to each other. The proposed algorithm found 32 best known solutions out of the 34 instances from the TSPLIB in a reasonable time.
