  • 특히 소화기계 질환 사례가 많은 우리나라의 수의임상에서 수액요법은 환축의 생사를 갈라 놓을 수 있을 만큼 그 중요성이 크게 인식되고 있다. 따라서 본고는 수액요법에 대한 복습과 새로운 수액요법 방법을 알리고자 'Veterinary technician'이란 잡지(1992년 6월호, 8월호)에 실린 'Update on fluid adminis-tration과 Intraosseous Infusion'을 번역 기고한다.

Fouling Characteristics in the Microfiltration of Mixed Particle Suspensions (혼합입자 용액의 정밀여과막 오염특성)

  • Single and mixed particle suspensions of kaolin, bentonite, starch and PMMA were carried out using a dead-end Amicon fi1tration cell with microfilteration membranes. The experimental data of permeate fluxes were fitted by the constant pressure fi1tration models in order to investigate fouling steps. In 0.1 wt% mixed solution of equal amount of kaolin and starch, the permeation flux was about 30% lower than the average of each particle flux. However, the permeation flux for kaolin/PMMA mixed solution was about 10% higher than the average of each particle flux. In the cases of bentonite and PMMA or starch mired solution, the improvement effect on permeation flux was weaken than that of kaolin mixed solution. Also, the membrane fouling resistance for mixed particle solution of equal amount of kaolin and starch was minimum at 0.05 wt% particle concentration.

This model consist o IM(induction motor) block, Load block and controller blocks. This paper use the indirect vecto control Because improve accuracy speed characters. The result show the better speed and torque characters. And effectiveness of Matlab/Simulink in simulations.

  • Cationic lipid emulsion system consisting of 1, 2-dioleoyl-sn-slycero-3-trimethyl-ammonium-propane(DOTAP) and plasmin DNA with various counterions in the lipid headgroups were prepared. The transfection activity of the cationic lipid emulsion systems was then investigated in vitro and in vivo. The complex formation of plasmid DNA lipid emulsion was affected by the counterions through charged headgroup repulsion and also by the salt concen-tration in the media. As such , the transfection activity of the DOTAP emulsion system can be controlled by changing the counterions.

Historical Development in the Population and Household Survey System in Korea (우리나라 호구조사제도의 역사적 고찰)

  • The historical study reveals that our ancestors had maintained a system which could produce data on population and households. The main purposes of maintaing the system at that time were taxation and conscription. At the present time, however, there are three major data sources which produce the statistics on pop-ulation and households in Korea : Civil Registration System, Resident Registration System and Popula-tion Census. These three systems are found to have some problems. there are some inherent problems in the regis-tration systems, such as problems in its coverage, accuracies in contents and timeliness in reporting the vital events and publishing the results. The population census has also non- sampling erors, such as errors in coverage, respone and non-response. Apart from the above mentioned problems, there are also conflicting problems arised from having three data sources, We can find some overlapping problems and difficulties in comparative studies. In the future, these problems should be considered for the improvement of the quality of statistics on population and household.

  • Elemental carbon(EC) and organic carbon(OC) in fine particles (PM2.5) were collected from October 1995 through August 1996 in the Chongju area. The annual mean concentrations of EC and OC were 4.44 and 4.99 $\mu\textrm{g}$/m3 respectively. EC showed seasonal variation (p<0.01) The magnitude of the seasonal mean EC concen-tration progresses in the following manner : fall>winter>spring>summer. However OC was not statistically seasonal difference(p=0.20) The annual average OC/EC ratio was 1.12 suggesting that organic carbon measured may by emitted directly in particulate form(primary aerosol) The contribution of EC to PM2.5 mass follows a general pattern in which fall(14.6%) > winter (9.8%) >spring(7.8%) =summer(7.8%) and the contribution of OC to the PM2.5 mass varies in order fall(13.8%) >winter(11.3%) >spring(10.5%) >summer (9.4%) Total carbona-ceous particles(EC and OC) accounted for 17-28% of the PM2.5 mass.

Verification of Conventional kimchi Preservation Methods (김치의 재래보존법 검증)

  • Various additives(glucono-$\delta$-lactone, glycine, chitosan, Chinese pepper extract+msutard oil, cinnamon oil+ginger oil+mustard oil, Chinese pepper extract), used in the Korean patents singularly or in combination, were tested for extension of shelf-life of kimchi. Addition of glucono-$\delta$-lactone or chitosan was somewhat effective in delaying the fermentation rate, however no such effect was seen by other additives. Chitosan at the concentrations of 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5% was similarily effective in delaying the fermen-tation rate. Mustard oil or cinnamon oil tend to delay the fermentation rate by singular addition at the concern tration of 0.5% or 1%. Soaking of the salted and washed Chinese cabbage in 0.5% chitosan solution resulted in delay of the fermentation rate of kimchi.

  • Habituation to alkali condition and susceptibility to antimicrobial agents were investigated to determine methods t inactivation Escherichia coli O157:H7 associated with food poisoning. The investigation showed that Escherichia coli O157:H7growth at pH 9.0 The susceptibilities of Escherichia coli O157:H7 to 13 drugs examined were found highest in regad to saicin and ceftriaxone and lowest in regard to erythromycin and josamycin. No significant changes in minimal inhibitory concen-tration(MIC) values of bactericidal effect was found when saicin and ceftriaxone were irradiated with doses of 5-100KGy.

  • Fibrous adsorbents containing amidoxime group which make chelate complexes with uranyl ions are studied for the recovery of uranium from sea water. Acrylic fibers are used as base Polymer. The adsorption properties of uranium are carried out to examine pH effect, concen-tration dependence, adsorption rate, separation, and chelate complex. The results obtained are as follows; 1. Metal capacity of U (VI) ion is in the range of pH $2\~10.2$. Amidoxime group-containing fiber recover U (VI) ions existed in sea water or waste water in extremely small quantities. 3. Using amidoxime group-containing fiber Cu (II) and U (VI) are separated with each other in dilute nitric acid solution (pH 2.3). 4. U (VI) chelate complexes are conformed by tridendate ligands, which are coordinated with one nitrogen and two oxygens onto amidoxime group-containing fiber.
