A study on myo-inositol transport system in peripheral nerve isolated from lead-intoxicated rat. (납 중독 랫드의 말초신경내 myo-inositol 수송 체계에 관한 연구)

  • In our previous studies, we reported that lead intoxicated nerve cell by inhibition of the Na$^{+}$-K$^{+}$ ATPase activity and reduction of myo-inositol in nerve cell. As the second series of experiments, in order to understand toxic mechanism of lead for nerve cell, the characteristics of myo-inositol transport system and the effect of lead on its system have been studied in the sciatic nerves of control and lead-treated rats. A lead intoxicated animal model was induced by feeding diet containing lead to Sprague-Dawley rat for two weeks. Four weeks aged Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into three group : normal control group, 10ppm-lead treated group, 100ppm-lead treated group. All rats were sacrified at the end of two weeks. The rate o myo-inositol transport by sciatic nerve isolated from lead-treated rat was significantly decreased compared with that of control rat. This deficit results from that myo-inositol transport system which is carrier mediated and sodium-potassium dependent was inhibited by the lead treatment (both 10ppm and 100ppm) due to increase of the Km value without affecting Vmax value for myo-inositol carrier. These observations suggest that the toxic mechanism of lead on nerve myo-inositol transport system might be a change of affinity without change of maximum transport velocity for carrier.

Effect of the Neighboring Tape′s AC Currents on Transport Current Loss of a Bi-2223 Tape (인접 교류전류가 Bi-2223테이프의 통전손실에 미치는 영향)

  • Bi-2223 tapes have been developed for low-field power applications at liquid nitrogen temperature. When the Bi-2223 tapes are used in an application such as a power transmission cable or a power transformer, they are supplied with an AC transport current simultaneously. AC loss taking into account such real applications is a crucial issue for power applications fo the Bi-2223 tapes to be feasible. In this paper, the transport losses for different AC current levels and arrangements of the neighboring tapes have been measured in a 1./5 m long Bi-2223 tape. The significant increase of the transport losses due to neighboring tape's AC currents is observed. An increase of the transport losses caused by a decrease of the Bi-2223 tape's critical current is a minor effect. The measured trasprot losses could not be explained by a dynamic resistance loss based on DC voltage-current characteristics in combination with the neighboring tape's AC currents.The trasport losses do not depend on the frequency of the neighboring tape's AC currents but is arrangements in the range of small current especially.

  • For quantitative understanding of gas discharge phenomena, we should know electron collision cross section. Processing plasma etching of semiconductor, and research are being used in the etching source $C_4F_6$ gas may be used by itself and mixed with other gases are also used. However, the molecular gas $C_4F_6$ study on the characteristics of the electron transport and the cross-sectional area of the decision is still lacking. Therefore, we understand the electron transport characteristics and analysed the electron transport coefficients. And to understand and interpret physical properties of the ionization coefficient ${\alpha}$/N, and the attachment coefficient ${\eta}$/N in $C_4F_6$ gas.

  • In this paper, the fuel transport characteristics during transient condition was studied by using a Fast Response Flame Ionization Detector(FRFID). The quantitative measurement method for the inducted fuel mass into cylinder is studied. The inducted fuel mass into the cylinder was estimated by using calculated air-fuel ratio by hydrocarbon concentration of cylinder and air flow model. In order to estimate the transportation of injected fuel from the intake port into cylinder, the wall wetting fuel model was used. The two coefficient $\alpha$,$\beta$) of the wall-wetting fuel model was determined from the measured fuel mass that was inducted into the cylinder at the first cycle after injection cut-off To reduce an air/fuel ratio fluctuation during rapid throttle opening, the appropriate fuel injection rate was obtain from the wall wetting model with empirical coefficients. Result of air/fuel ratio control, air/fuel excursion was reduced.

  • The fully coupled conditional moment closure(CMC) model has been developed to realistically simulate the structure of complex turbulent nonpremixed syngas flame, in which the flame structure could be considerablyl influenced by the turbulence, transport history, and heat transfer as well. In order to correctly account for the transport effect, the CMC transport equations fully coupled with the flow and mixing fields are numerically solved. The present CMC approach has successfully demonstrated the capability to realistically predict the detailed structure and the overall combustion characteristics. The numerical results obtained in this study clearly reveal the importance of the convective and radiative heat transfer in the precise structure and NOx emission of the present confined combustor with a cooling wall.

  • The differentiation of this study is largely based on the above discussion. First, I would like to examine the main factors that affect the image of the local government's special transport agencies in terms of users and suggest strategic options for promoting the local government's special traffic. Second, a public service approach is very necessary considering the concept of new public transport such as local government special transport, individual use experience and social impact. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the characteristics of local government special traffic through the five important factors of the service quality which are not capable of objectively measuring the characteristics of the service.

  • Superconducting power cable is one of the most promising energy application of high-T$\sub$2/ superconductor(HTS). Thus we investigated previously the electrical and mechanical characteristics on Bi-2223 Ag sheathed tape. And a prototype HTS cable have been designed constructed and tested. In case of 19-filament type transport losses agree with the results of norris theory(strip). The critical current of HTS cable(1, 19-filament) in LN$_2$was 116[A], 240[A] and degradation coefficient(k) was 0.71, 0.73 respectively. In case of 19-filament cable critical current was decreased because of mechanical strain at pitch. And AC loss of HTS cable(19-filament) was 0.7 [W/m] in 240[A] loading

Data analysis of simulated fuel-loaded sea transportation tests under normal conditions of transport

  • In this study, to evaluate the shock and vibration load characteristics of used fuel, a sea transportation test was conducted using simulated fuel assemblies under normal transport conditions. An overall test data analysis was performed based on the measured strain and acceleration data obtained from cruise, rotation, acceleration, braking, depth of water, and rolling tests. In addition, shock response spectrum and power spectral densities were obtained for each test case. Amplification and attenuation characteristics were investigated based on the load path. The load was amplified as it passed from the overpack to the simulated used fuel-assembly. As a result of the RMS trend analysis, the fuel-loading position of the transportation package affected the measured strain in the fuel rod, and the maximum strains were obtained at the spans with large spacing. However, even these maximum strains were very small compared to the fatigue strength and the cladding yield strength. Moreover, the fuel rods located on the side exhibited a larger strain value than those at the center.

  • HTS(High Temperature Superconductor) tapes have dependence on critical characteristics such as electric, magnetic field and temperature. In order to confirm these effects, we examined the current transport characteristics of HTS tapes. First, after being fed DC and AC, the dependence of HTS tapes of 10cm on external magnetic field was investigated. On centeral region of HTS tape, about 1cm, external magnetic field was applied. Second, after applying DC of 50A to HTS tapes, we applied time variable magnetic field about 100mT and investigated the quench characteristics. Finally, AC, which is about 10 times of I$_{c}$, was applied to HTS tapes and over current characteristics were investigated. The data acquired in this study will be used as a source for the study of HTS cable conductor which is supposed to carry on.n.
