Effect of Particle Size Distribution of Glass Frit on the Transparency of Transparent Dielectric Layer for Plasma Display Panel

  • We report the effect of the particle size (D50) and PSD (Particle Size Distribution) of glass frit on the transparency of transparent dielectric layer of PDP. The milling efficiency of wet milling with water was the best among the dry milling, wet milling with IPA and wet milling with water. The transparency increased with the reduction of particle size of glass frit as the milling time increased. Also the transparency changed by the PSD of glass frit. Glass frits of broad PSD showed high transparency compared with the glass frits of sharp PSD.

  • We report the effect of wet ball milling conditions on the transparency of glass frit. Generally, the particle size of glass frit decreased as the milling time increased. And the transparency of glass frit changed with the particle size variation. The transparency of glass frit A increased as the milling time increased. But, the transparency of glass frit B, containing high $B_2O_3$ decreased as the particle size decreased. It seems to be the result of chemical reaction with water and glass frit.

  • While transparency in general refers to the structure that is optically luminant or pleasant in its lightness, it is often synonymous with the concept of "modernistic." The advancement in construction and design technologies and the development of new materials with versatility adds even further diversity to transparency in architectural expression. The purpose of this study is to analyze various conceptions about transparency effects by comparing diverse expressions of visual lightness effects in space design. For this, I categorize and exemplify visual lightness effects of space applied to transparent materials. I argue that by utilizing transparent materials, the perception of space as well as boundaries between exterior and interior can be profoundly transformed. Space that overlaps through transparent boundaries creates atmosphere which deepens the architectural space environments.ironments.

  • In this paper, a software framework is proposed for the personal robot located on home network. The proposed software framework is divided into four layers-a transparency layer, a behavior layer, a distributed task layer, and a mission scenario layer. The transparency layer consists of a virtual machine for platform transparency, and a communication broker for communication transparency among behavior modules.   • Real time transparency estimation method was studied using AVHRR Channel 1 (Visible band, 0.58 - 0.68 $\mu\textrm{m}$) digital number (DN) of NOAA Satellite. The relationshop between the measured transparency and the digital number shows following exponential equation in the southeastern Yellow Sea : Tr = 4820 $\times$ exp (-0.082 $\times$ DN), 77 $\leq$ DN < 105 where Tr is the transparency in meters and DN is the digital number of AVHRR Channel 1. From this equation, real time transparency can be simply estimated using data from the NOAA Ground Station of National Fisheries Research and Development Agency.

  • 본 논문에서는 범용 운영체제에서 제공하는 디바이스 투명성을 센서노드 운영체제에 적용한 센서 투명성 아키텍처를 제안하였다. 센서 투명성을 지원하기 위한 표준 API와 센서 디바이스 추상화를 설계하고 TinyOS 운영체제에서 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 센서 투명성 지원 센서노드 운영체제를 사용하면 응용 개발자는 운영체제에서 제공되는 표준 API를 통해 센서 디바이스에 독립적으로 응용 프로그램을 개발할 수 있고, 센서 디바이스 공급자 또한 표준화된 하드웨어 인터페이스와 HAL 인터페이스를 통해 센서노드 하드웨어 플랫폼에 독립적으로 센서 디바이스 드라이버를 개발하고 공급할 수 있다.

  • When people visit other countries, the first place to go would be either a museum or an art gallery because it might be the most effective way that people could understand culture and history of the place in a short time. It can be alleged that a museum must be an important cultural space because people can experience their life, history and art there. According to these cultural importance, the purpose of this study is to suggest the environmental design of $\boxDr$Design Museum$\boxUl$ through the Transparency of the Cubism. The Transparency means a capability of transmitting light so that objects on the other side can be seen clearly. The Concept of the Transparency could be taken effects in architecture by overlapping facets or space. By understanding formative properties of the Cubism, which especially focused on Transparency, 1 would like to propose the environment as an art and the exhibition-environment as a way of communication. As it were, the study can be valued as a new approach on condition that formative feature is interpreted with modern terms and the ‘Digital technology’ is not used a tool of representation but a tool of thought in terms of design. Moreover, it has a great significance that formative language of the Cubism will be able to be applied to the environmental design through the experimental and creative design process.

  • Transparency has been considered as a performance measure in bilateral teleoperation system. Therefore, many issues of transparency have been studied. This paper investigates the transparency in two-channel control architectures. At first, we show the feasibility using analytic transparency-conditions and present the two classes of two-channel control architecture, which are perfectly transparent under ideal situation. In addition, remedies to problems due to impedance model estimation errors under real situation are introduced. They are as fellows; design guideline of control parameters to reduce the effect of model estimation error effect and introduction of time delay estimation for unknown dynamics. From these analyses, the systematic control scheme, which is stable and well transparent under real implementation, is proposed in two-channel control architecture. Finally, the proposed scheme is applied to a 2 D.O.F master-slave system and the experimental results show the validity of the theoretical work.

치근부 상아질 투명층의 증령적 변화에 관한 연구 (Determination of Age in Humans from Root Dentin Transparency)

  • For the purpose of estimation of age based on changes in the human root dentin transparency, 173 extracted teeth in each part of upper & lower Lt. & Rt. central, lateral incisors to Lt. & Rt. 2nd premolars were evaluated and analized in terms of root dentin transparency. The results are as follows : 1. It was reconfirmed that there exisits coparatively close correlatonship between age and the root dentin transparency. 2. It was proved that the correlation between the changes in the length and the area of the root dentin transparecy in accordance with the ages of each tooth was highest at the upper central incisor, and next at the low central incisor and the upper second premoloar respectively. 3. In the analysis of the age of the transparency, the error was less in the measurement of the area than in the measurement of the length in regard to the estimation of age. 4. The results from the test of the upper central incisor were boiled down to the following linear equation about the correlation among the area and the length of the transparency, and the age: Y=6.94X+14.7(r=0.59) (Y:estimated age, X:length mm) Y=138.47X+12.31(r=0.72) (Y:estimeted age, $X:area\textrm{cm}^2$)

황해 남동해역 투명도의 계절 변화 (Seasonal Variation of Transparency in the Southeastern Yellow Sea)

  • 황해 남동해역 투명도의 계절변화를 보기 위하여, 25개년 ($1966\~1990$)간의 해양조사 연보를 이용하여 우리나라 서해의 격월별, 정점별 자료를 정리하였다. 투명도의 분포는 계절에 관계없이 등수심선과 유사하게 뚜렷한 동서 대비를 보이고 있었다. 수심이 얕은 연안역에서는 3m(2월)$\~$8m (8월)로 낮고, 수심이 깊은 외양역에서는 10m (2월)$\~$17m (8월)로 높다. 겨울철 ($12\~2$월)은 투명도가 $\4m~10m$의 범위로, 여름철 ($6\~8$월)의 $6m\~17m$ 보다 낮다. 또한 부유 물질의 농도를 보면, 2월에는 $20\~120mg/\ell$이고 8월에는 $8\~20mg/\ell$의 범위였다. 성층과 투명도와의 관련성을 보면, TR(투명도)=0.61 DT(성층)+6.90, r=0.85로 양의 상관을 보이고, 정선 309에서 겨울의 보퍼트 풍력 계급은 약 3.5 내외로 여름보다도 약 1계급 이상 높은 값을 보였다. 이와 같은 사실들은 황해 남동해역에서의 투명도의 계절 변화는 겨울의 경우, 해수면 냉각과 바람에 의한 상하층 연직 혼합으로 저층 퇴적물의 재부유가 활발하여 투명도가 낮게 나타난다. 그리고 여름에는 해수면 가열에 의해서. 상하층 사이에 형성되는 수온 혹은 밀도 약층과 조석 혼합을 방해하는 태양 복사열의 증가로 인하여 저층 퇴적물의 재부유가 방해되어. 투명도가 높게 됨을 나타내고 있다.
