A digital differential transmitter based on CMOS inverter worked up to 2.8 Gbps at the supply voltage of 1 V with a $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process. By calibrating the output impedance of the transmitter, the impedance matching between the transmitter output and the transmission line is achieved. The PVT variations of pre-driver are compensated by the calibration of the rising-edge delay and falling-edge delay of the pre-driver outputs. The chip fabricated with a $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process, which uses the standard supply voltage of 1.8 V, gives the highest data rate of 4Gbps at the supply voltage of 1.2 V. The proposed calibration schemes improve the eye opening with the voltage margin by 200% and the timing margin by 30%, at 2.8 Gbps and 1 V.
The presence of induction motor loads in a power system may cause the phenomenon of delayed voltage recovery after the occurrence of a severe fault. A high proportion of induction motor loads in the power system can be a significant influence on the voltage stability of the system. This problem referred to as FIDVR(Fault Induced Delayed Voltage Recovery) is commonly caused by stall of small HVAC unit(Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioner) after transmission or distribution system failure. This delayed voltage recovery arises from the dynamic characteristics associated with the kinetic energy of the induction motor load. This paper proposes the UVLS (Under Voltage Load Shedding) control strategy for dealing with FIDVR. UVLS based schemes prevent voltage instability by shedding the load and can help avoid major economic losses due to wide-ranging cascading outages. This paper review recent topic about under voltage load shedding and compare decentralized load shedding scheme with conventional load shedding scheme. The load shedding strategy is applied to an actual system in order to verify the proposed FIDVR mitigation solution. Simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in resolving the problem of delayed voltage recovery in the Korean Power System.

We analyze a voice/data integrated traffic model of the cellular mobile communication system with hybrid guard channels for voice and handoff calls. In a multi-service integrated wireless environment, quality of service guarantee is crucial for smooth transportation of real time information. Real time voice traffic requires a guaranteed upper bounded on both delay and packet error rate, whereas data traffic does not. Voice traffic has high transmission priority over data packets. Thus one of the important problems is the design of admission control schemes which can efficiently accommodate the differential quality of service requirements. In this paper, a hybrid guard channel scheme is considered in which arriving calls are assigned channels as long as the number of busy channels in the cell is below a predetermined first threshold. When the number of busy channels reaches the first threshold, new originating data calls are queued in the infinite data buffer. Then reaches second threshold, only handoff calls are assigned the remaining channels and new originating voice calls are blocked. We evaluate the system by a two-dimensional Markov chain approach and generating function method and obtain performance measures included blocking probability and forced termination probability.

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is considered as an integral part of the Internet of Things (IoT) for collecting real-time data from the site having many applications in industry 4.0 and smart cities. The task of nodes is to sense the environment and send the relevant information over the internet. Though this task seems very straightforward but it is vulnerable to certain issues like energy consumption, delay, throughput, etc. To efficiently address these issues, this work develops a cross-layer model for the optimization between MAC and the Network layer of the OSI model for WSN. A high value of duty cycle for nodes is selected to control the delay and further enhances data transmission reliability. A node measurement prediction system based on the Kalman filter has been introduced, which uses the constraint based on covariance value to decide the scheduling scheme of the nodes. The concept of duty cycle for node scheduling is employed with a greedy data forwarding scheme. The proposed Duty Cycle-based Greedy Routing (DCGR) scheme aims to minimize the hop count, thereby mitigating the energy consumption rate. The proposed algorithm is tested using a real-world wastewater treatment dataset. The proposed method marks an 87.5% increase in the energy efficiency and reduction in the network latency by 61% when validated with other similar pre-existing schemes.

IEEE 802.11ax is a protocol being developed for high-density Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN). Several algorithms have been proposed to improve the level of spatial reuse applied in IEEE 802.11ax. However, these algorithms are tentative and do not specify how to select the transmit power and carrier sense threshold in practice; It is unclear when and why the tuned parameters lead to better network performance. In this paper, we restricted the scale of transmit power tuning to prevent the case of backfire in which spatial reuse will result in transmission failure. If the restrictions cannot be satisfied, spatial reuse will be abandoned. This is why we named the proposed scheme as Arbitration based Spatial Reuse (ASR). We quantified the network performance after spatial reuse, and formulate a corresponding maximum problem whose solution is the optimal carrier sense threshold and transmit power. We verified our theoretical analysis by simulation and compared it with previous studies, and the results show that ASR improves the throughput up to 8.6% compared with 802.11ax. ASR can avoid failure of spatial reuse, while the spatial reuse failure rate of existing schemes can up to 36%. To use the ASR scheme in practice, we investigate the relation between the optimal carrier sense threshold and transmit power. Based on the relations got from ASR, the proposed Relation based Spatial Reuse (RSR) scheme can get a satisfactory performance by using only the interference perceived and the previously found relations.
Stream Control Transmission Protocol(SCTP) is a new connection-oriented, reliable delivery transport protocol operating on top of an unreliable connectionless packet service such as IP. It inherits many of the functions developed for TCP, including flow control and packet loss recovery functions. In addition, it also supports transport layer multihoming and multistreaming In this paper, we study the impact of multi-homing on the performance of SCTP. We first compare performance of single-homed SCTP. multi-homed SCTP, TCP Reno and TCP SACK. We, then describe potential flaw in the current SCTP retransmission policy, when SCTP host is multihomed. Our Results show that SCTP performs better than TCP Reno and TCP SACK due to several changes from TCP in its congestion control mechanism. In particular. multi-homed SCTP shows the best result among the compared schemes. Through experimentation for multi-homed SCTP, we found that the current SCTP retransmission policy nay deteriorate the perfomance when the retransmission path it worse than the original path. Therefore, the condition of retransmission path is a very important factor In SCTP performance and a proper mechanism would be required to measure the condition of the retransmission path.

Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) is a special form of Mobile Ad-hoc Network designed to provide communications among nearby vehicles without communications infrastructure. Some characteristics in VANET environment such as high mobility, dynamic topology and selfishness of nodes can cause degradation of network quality. In this paper, we propose an adaptive incentive/topology control scheme to improve network quality in VANET by stimulating real time data forwarding and reporting changes of network topology. In the proposed scheme, an incentive suggested by the source node is updated in real time simultaneously with data transmission to stimulate real time data forwarding. In addition, when the order of the nodes in the path is changed, nodes which report the changes of network topology will get an additional incentive. By computer simulation, it is shown that the proposed incentive/topology control scheme outperforms the conventional schemes with respect to data delivery time and data delivery ratio.
The IETF has defined the Intserv model and the RSVP signaling protocol to improve QoS capability for a set of newly emerging services including voice and video streams that require high transmission bandwidth and low delay. However, since the current Intserv model requires each router to maintain the states of each service flow, the complexity and the overhead for processing packets in each rioter drastically increase as the size of the network increases, giving rise to the scalability problem. This motivates our work; namely, we investigate and devise new control schemes to enhance the scalability of the Intesev model. To do this, we basically resort to the SCORE network model, extend it to fairly well adapt to the three services presented in the Intserv model, and devise schemes of the QoS scheduling, the admission control, and the edge and core node architectures. We also carry out the computer simulation by using ns-2 simulator to examine the performance of the proposed scheme in respects of the bandwidth allocation capability, the packet delay, and the packet delay variation. The results show that the proposed scheme meets the QoS requirements of the respective three services of Intserv model, thus we conclude that the proposed scheme enhances the scalability, while keeping the efficiency of the current Intserv model.
One of the principal impediments to the achievement of a scalable access control for a large number of subscribers in a public broadcast is to distribute key update messages reliably to all stateless receivers. However, in a public broadcast, the rekeying messages can be dropped or compromised during the transmission over an insecure broadcast channel, or transmitted to the receivers while it was off-line. In this study, we propose a novel group key management scheme that features a mechanism that allows the legitimate receivers to recover the current group key even if they lose key update messages for long-term sessions using short hint messages and member computation. The performance analysis result shows that the proposed scheme has advantages of the scalable and efficient rekeying compared with the previous reliable group key distribution schemes. The proposed key management scheme targets a conditional access system in a media broadcast where there is no feedback channel from receivers to the broadcasting station.

This paper presents analog secure communication system about safe speech transmission using chaotic signals. We applied various conditions that happen in actuality communication environment modifying chaotic synchronization and chaotic communication schemes and analyzed restoration performance of speech signal to computer simulation. In transmitter, we made the chaotic masking signal which is added voice signal to chaotic signal using PC(Pecora & Carroll) and SFB(self-feedback) control techniques and transmitted encryption signal to noisy communication channel And in order to calculate the degree of restoration performance, we proposed the definition of analog average power of recovered error signals in receiver chaotic system. The simulation results show that feedback control techniques can certify that restoration performance is superior to quantitative data than PC method about masking degree, susceptibility of parameters and channel noise. We experimentally computed the table of relation of parameter fluxion to restoration error rate which is applied the encryption key values to the chaotic secure communication.
