신경회로망을 이용한 변압기의 단기부하예측 (Short-Term Load Forecasting of Transformer Using Artificial Neural Networks)

  • 신경회로망을 이용한 변압기의 단기 부하예측 알고리즘을 제안한다. 변압기에 대한 단기부하예측은 그 필요성에도 불구하고 연구자들에게 많은 관심을 받지 못했다. 제안된 알고리즘은 입력값으로 예측일 이전의 변압기 최대부하와 해당지역의 최고온도, 최저온도 그리고 예측일의 최고온도, 최저온도로 구성하고 적절한 학습케이스를 선택하여 신경회로망의 학습을 통해 배전용 변압기의 단기부하예측을 수행하였다. 제안된 방법은 서울 남현동의 배전용 변압기를 샘플로 추출하여 예측하였다. 예측결과 배전용 변압기의 부하예측에 대한 정확도의 우수성을 확인했다. 제안된 알고리즘은 배전용 변압기의 과부하에 의한 사고 예방에 도움을 줄 것이다.

Selection of Transformer for the Augmentation of an Existing AIS EHV Substation in Hilly Terrain at 3000m+ Altitude

  • Augmentation of existing EHV substations located in hilly terrain and at high altitude require many different considerations as compared to substations located in plain areas and at lower altitude. Owing to high altitude and steep terrain, meticulous engineering and preparations are required, considering the actual available space at the existing substation. Historical fault events too must be considered to enhance reliability and performance of the substation equipment. This paper proposes ways to augment the existing 2 banks of 20MVA, 220/66kV power transformers ($3{\times}6.67MVA$, single-phase) to $2{\times}50$/63MVA, 220/66kV power transformers to meet continuously increasing demand of the capital city over the next 20 years. Upgrading and augmentation of existing substations, especially the main transformers and associated equipment, require replacement with minimum or no disturbance to the existing power supply system. Considerations should also be made during engineering and design, the operational flexibilities, maintenance aspects, future expandability and value addition, in terms of reliability and space usage of the existing substation.

분포정수 회로합성에 의한 광대역 전력분배기 설계 (Design of a Boradband Power Divider by Distributed Network Synthesis)

  • 본 논문에서는 전력분배기의 설계에 필수적인 분포정수 임피던스 변환기의 합성법을 제시하고, 이에 의하여 광대역 전력분배기를 설계한다. 변환기의 전달함수는 Chebyshev 근사로 합성하며, 변환기의 소자값은 최소 삽입손실(MIL)과 리플에 대하여 계산된다. 변환기의 요구 성능은 전달함수의 MIL과 리플을 최적화함으로써 구할 수 있다. 이의 응용 예로써 $2{\sim}8GHz$에서 동작하는 4-경로 전력분배기(four-way power divider)를 설계하였다. 실험 결과, 전력분배기는 주어진 주파수 대역에서 설계치에 근접하는 성능을 나타내어, 분포정수 회로합성에 의한 변환기의 설계는 전력분배기의 설계에 유용하게 사용될 수 있음을 입증하였다.

  • This paper discribes an improved technique for locating partial discharge sites within operating transformers by ultrasonic method which utilizes the different travel times of the electrical and ultrasonic signals produced by partial discharges to determine the location of the sources. The technique was to develope the measurement system based on the enhancement of the acoustic emission signals using signal square, circuit to improve the detectable sensitivity and reliability. Also an ultrasonic pulse generator was designed and made to transmit periodically pulses equivalent to pratial discharges and to check the good performance of the system, echo effects and self-diagnosis. Through the laboratory work, it was confirmed that the system and the generator can be used satisfactorily for diagnosing power transformers and for studying echo effects and self-diagnosis of the system.

일체형 주상용 몰드 변압기의 온도분포 및 특성 비교 (Temperature Rise Test and Temperature Distribution Analysis of Pole Mount Mold Transformer with One-body Molding)

  • The mold transformers have been widely used in underground substations of large building and have some advantages when compared with oil-transformer. Those advantages are low fire risk, environmental compatibility, compact size and high reliability. The mold transformer is generally known to have cooling duct between low voltage and high voltage coil. To achieve better compact structure and low loss, mold transformers made by one body molding method has been developed. Nevertheless, such kinds of transformer need better cooling method because heat radiation between each winding is still of problem. The life of transformer is significantly dependent on the thermal behavior in windings. Many designers have calculated temperature distribution in transformers and hot spot point by finite element method(FEM) to analyze winding temperature rise. In this paper, the temperature distribution analysis of 100 kVA pole mold transformer for power distribution were investigated by FEM program and the thermal analysis results were compared with temperature rise test.

  • In this paper, we developed the online Monitoring & Diagnostic(MD) system of distribution transformers. It consists of the Data Acquisition(DA) module and the DataBase(DB) module. The acquired data from the distribution transformers is stored to the DB in an on-line. The DB is planned and made to the RDBMS (Relative DataBase Management System) to manage the data efficiently. The developed MD system estimates the loss of life from the DB. Thus, it could be managed the career and the functional lifetime of the transformer more efficiently than existing systems. In the case study, the oil temperature rising experiment is performed by using the back loading method in the laboratory level. From the results, the proposed MB system can be a practical applications for the distribution transformers.

  • In order to fabricate the multilayer piezoelectric transformer by tape casting method, we investigated the effect of $TiO_2$ and PZT powder additions on the Ag/Pd electrode. Meanwhile, effects of $TiO_2$ and PZT powder additives on the microstructure and electrical properties of Ag/Pd electrode were investigated in detail. In addition, the multilayer piezoelectric transformers were fabricated and the characteristics with various load resistance were measured at resonance frequency. The voltage step-up ratio was continuously change with increasing input voltage and load resistance, and then output voltage and powers were increased with increasing input voltage at matching impedance. The temperature rise of multilayer piezoelectric transformers were increased with increasing input voltage and load resistance. Meanwhile, multilayer piezoelectric transformers sintered at $1100^{\circ}C$ show the favorable characteristics with a power of 15 W at $100\;{\Omega}$.

모노폴 안테나를 이용한 유중 부분방전의 검출 (Detection of Partial Discharges by a Monopole Antenna in Insulation Oil)

  • This paper dealt with the measurement and analysis of electromagnetic waves radiated from a partial discharge (PD) source in insulation oil to apply condition monitoring of oil-immersed transformers. Two types of narrow-band monopole antennas with the resonant frequency of a 500 MHz and a 1 GHz were designed and fabricated. Also, a needle-plane electrode system was manufactured to simulate PDs and the curvature radius of the needle is 10 ${\mu}m$ and the diameter of the plane is 60 mm. Electromagnetic wave was measured by the PD measurement system with the monopole antennas. Detection sensitivity of the fabricated antenna was compared for the same PD magnitude; 620 $mV_{peak}$ for the 500 MHz antenna and 960 $mV_{peak}$ for the 1 GHz antenna to the PD magnitude of 74 pC. Consequently, the 1 GHz monopole antenna is more effective to detect PDs in oil-immersed transformers.

  • This paper describes development of management software for transformers based on artificial intelligent analysis technology of dissolved gases in oil. Fault interpretation using the artificial intelligent analysis is performed by the artificial neural network and a rule based on the analysis of dissolved gases. The used gases are acetylene($C_{2}H_{2}$), hydrogen($H_2$), ethylene($C_{2}H_{4}$), methane($CH_4$), ethane($C_{2}H_{6}$), carbon monoxide(CO) and carbon dioxide($CO_2$). This software is mainly composed of gases input, fault's causes, expected fault's phenomena in detail, the decision on maintenance as well as report and gas trend windows. It is indicated that this is very powerful software for the efficient management of oil-immersed transformers using data analysis of gas components.

  • Generally Short Circuit Test of transformers are tested according to IEEE std C57.12.00-2000, IEC 60076-5(2000-07), ES148(1998.6.26) or KS C4309(2003). But ES148(1998.6.26) is same as IEEE std C57. 12.00-2000 and KS C4309(2003) is revising coincidence with IEC 60076-5(2000-07). On this study condition of the transformers before short circuit test, calculation method for test current peak value, tolerance on the asymmetrical peak and r.m.s value, short circuit testing procedure, number of short circuit test, duration short circuit test, and detection of faults and evaluation of short circuit test result will be compared with ANSI and IEC.
