  • In general, transfer in subway stations is defined as transfer between lines and station transfer. In transfer between lines, passengers change from one subway line to another by utilizing horizontal pedestrian facilities such as transfer passages and pedestrian way. Station transfer appears in the situation that subway lines of enter and exit gate terminals differs from those of boarding and alighting trains and passenger trips utilize both vertical pedestrian facilities such as stair and escalator and horizontal facilities. The hypothesis on these two transfers presupposes that all subway lines are operated by either local train or express in subway network. This means that in a transfer case both local and express trains are operated in the same subway line, as a case of Seoul Metro Line 9, has not been studied. This research proposes a methodology of finding the same line transfer in the Seoul metropolitan subway network built based on the smart card network data by suggesting expanded network concept and a model that passengers choose a theirs minimum time routes.

  • Sensitivity analysis and structural modification technique are used to reduce the interior noise of a passenger car. The sensitivity analysis for the noise level at the rear seat shows that the stiffness change at the front lower member and the rear roof rail are sensitive. Using the structural modification method, we verified that the reinforcements at those members decrease the noise transfer function from the body to the rear seat. The combined application of the sensitivity analysis and structural modification method can decrease the noise level effectively.

  • This paper addresses a systematic way of understanding the transfer characteristics of whole-body vibration due to the external excitation. Amirouche's and Tamaoki's models are considered, whose analysis shows a new result that resonant frequencies related to the head vibration are well coincided with those of the body. This point reveals that the improvement of the ride quality of passenger cars can be achieved by isolating only external vibration components transfered to the body. Finally, this paper points out the limitation of previous whole-body vibration models, which gives the motivations of setting up more 'practical and generalized' whole-body vibration models of interests in this study.

  • In this paper, a sound quality index for the evaluation of the vehicle intake noise was developed through a correlation analysis of the objective measurement and the subjective evaluation. First, intake orifice noise was measured at the wide-open throttle sweep condition. And then, the acoustic transfer function between intake orifice noise and interior noise was measured. Simultaneously, subjective evaluation was carried out with a 10-scale score by 8 special engineers. The correlation analysis between the psychoacoustic parameters derived from the measurement and the subjective evaluation was performed. The most critical factor was determined and the corresponding sound quality index for intake noise was obtained from the multiple factor regression analysis method. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed index was validated.

  • Railway system is a word that includes rolling stock, railway infrastructure and signalling System in passenger transfer and rail freight. This system get higher competitiveness in energy efficiency part than other transfer system. But it is comprehensive system has latent loss of lives and property by big accident. First of all, to control this comprehensive system and to confirm safety of it, we need human resource management. This research will suggest how to apply efficiency safety verification and certification system to railway system. human resource management systems is defined as three kinds that is recruitment and management, ensure personnel's competencies and fitness, activity of assigning suitable responsible person for work.

  • In this paper, an index for the evaluation of vehicle intake booming noise is developed through a correlation analysis of objective measurement data and subjective evaluation data. First, intake orifice noise is measured at the wide-open test condition. And then, acoustic transfer function between intake orifice noise and interior noise at the steady state condition is estimated. Simultaneously, subjective evaluation was carried out with a ten-scale score by 8 engineers. Next, the correlation analysis between the psycho-acoustic parameters derived from the measured data and the subjective evaluation is performed. The most critical factor was determined and the corresponding index for the intake booming noise is obtained from the multiple factor regression method. • This paper presents a robust air-to-fuel ratio (AFR) control algorithm for managing exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems. In order to handle production tolerance, deterioration and parameter-varying characteristics of the EGR system, quantitative feedback theory (QFT) is applied for designing the robust AFR control algorithm. A plant model of EGR system is approximated by the first order transfer function plus time-delay (FOPTD) model. EGR valve position and AFR of exhaust gas are used as input/output variables of the plant model. Through engine experiments, parameter uncertainty of the plant model is identified in a fixed engine operating point. Requirement specifications of robust stability and reference tracking performance are defined and these are fulfilled by the following steps: during loop shaping process, a PID controller is designed by using a nominal loop transmission function represented on Nichols chart. Then, the frequency response of closed-loop transfer function is used for designing a prefilter. It is validated that the proposed QFT-based AFR control algorithm successfully satisfy the requirements through experiments of various engine operating points.

  • This paper deals with the passenger transfer trips counted from smart bus-card data from Seoul transit network to understand the current operational condition of the system. Objective of this study is to relocate the location of the transit transfer centers. It delivers a bi-level programing model. The upper model is a linear 0-1 binary integer program having the objective of total travel cost minimization constrained by the number of transfer centers and the total construction budget. The lower model is an user equilibrium assignment model determining the passengers' route choice according to the transfer center locations. The proposed bi-level programming model was tested in an example network. The result showed that the proposed was able to find the optimal solution.
