  • In this paper, a design of the reliable video-conference system using CTI(Computer Telephony Integration) technology is proposed. When video-conference is run on the current existing Internet, the transmission delay problem for voice data traffic can be frequently occurred. In order to transmit the real-time voice data through the Internet efficiently, some complicated algorithms such as CODEC(Code/Decode) should be applied. It can cause further excessive processing delay which can affect the overall performance. The voice traffic is usually transmitted through the reliable PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network) in the CTI system. In this paper a new architecture, in which PSTN for voice traffic and Internet for video traffic are used at the same time instead of using Internet by itself, is proposed to relieve the problems on a video conference.

  • this paper presents the potential application of fuzzy logic to the automatic incident detection system. While the conventional incident detection algorithms are based on a binary decision process, the algorithm using fuzzy logic can incorporate ambiguity which occurs in determining incidents. Since collecting good amount of data to construct data base for incidents is pretty expensive, a traffic simulator called FRESIM is used to simulate traffic condition in a freeway. Incident data are obtained by changing input parameters of the simulator and the fuzzy algorithm generates fuzzy rule for determining normal and incident traffic conditions. In this paper, various steps are described to test the algorithm and its results are summarized.

  • In order to keep safe driving conditions under road networks, there are several formations such as road structure, road surface condition, traffic occupancy and supplement of an accurate information of traffic status ahead To support safe-driving on each road formation, each formation is supplied with various information to help the driver. However, in some cases like rapid status change at local-scale geography, traffic information systems often displays insufficient information because of the lack of information correlation. In order to accurately aware the driver, all road formation must be in sync. It is important to supply accurate information to the driver because this information directly impacts the drivers on the road. This paper discusses the amber information to keep the least safety driving over road formations including tunnels and bridges. This paper also will propose the informations for safe-driving conditions, information linkage on the road and rule-base safety information, as ITS technology, being displayed for all drivers under the worst weather conditions.

  • In this paper, we describe a new guard lamp and traffic light controller using Zigbee one of near field communication. It can control guard lamp and traffic light system by wireless system. Also, it can definite in the sever system New guard lamp and traffic light using zibee system improved for waste power, an accident and management condition.

도로터널 환기/제연 시스템 시뮬레이션 (A NUMERICAL STUDY OF THE VENTILATION AND FIRE SIMULATION IN A ROAD TUNNEL)

  • In the present study, flow characteristics inside a road tunnel are simulated for the ventilation flows due to jet fan system and flows induces by the traffic. Traffic ventilation is numerically simulated by multiple reference frame. From the results of steady state simulation of tunnel ventilation, it is found that the proper ventilation is achieved by the designed jet fan system along with ventilating flow induced by the traffic. A transient simulation is also performed for the case of vehicle fire in the tunnel reversing the direction of rotation of some fans. The results suggest that the heat and smoke can be controlled by the proper changing of fan operation mode. The present results can be used to design proper ventilation system and effective smoke control system as well.

  • The Ant Colony System (ACS) is a variant of Ant colony optimization algorithm which is well-known in Traveling Salesman Problem. This paper proposed a hybrid method based on genetic algorithm (GA) and ant colony system (ACS), called GACS, to solve traffic routing problem. In the GACS, we use genetic algorithm to optimize the ACS parameters that aims to attain the shortest trips and time through new functions to help the ants to update global and local pheromones. Our experiments are performed by the GACS framework which is developed from VANETsim with the ability of real map loading from open street map project, and updating traffic light in real-time. The obtained results show that our framework acquired higher performance than A-Star and classical ACS algorithms in terms of length of the best global tour and the time for trip.

분산 컴퓨팅 환경에서의 워게임 시뮬레이션을 위한 네트워크 트래픽 제어 (Network Traffic Control for War-game Simulation in Distributed Computing Environment)

  • 현재 복잡한 가상전장 환경을 표현하기 위해 많은 수의 시뮬레이터들을 연결한 분산 컴퓨팅 기반의 워게임 시뮬레이션이 이용되고 있다. 모의 결과를 도출하기 위해 네트워크상의 각 시뮬레이터들은 중앙 모의 서버에 주기적으로 메시지를 송수신하게 된다. 이러한 네트워크 트래픽은 전체 시스템 성능저하의 직접적인 원인이 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 분산 워게임 시뮬레이션 시 발생되는 네트워크 트래픽을 제어하기 위한 시스템 및 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 메시지 수신 시 해당 모의 개체의 이동거리를 측정하고 이를 거리 임계값과 비교하여 해당 메시지를 필터링한다. 거리 임계값은 네트워크 트래픽 및 위치 오차와 같은 시스템 조건에 따라 조절된다. 그리고 모의 개체의 위치를 예측함으로써 메시지 필터링 시 발생되는 위치오차를 최소화한다. 실험 결과는 제안된 시스템이 분산 시뮬레이션 시스템의 네트워크 트래픽을 감소시키고 메시지 필터링에 따른 모의 개체의 위치 오차를 줄이는 데 매우 효과적이라는 것을 입증한다.

  • 국내의 사용자 프로그램으로 Port Redirection 서버를 통해 주소 변환 정보를 받아 사용자의 트래픽을 변환시키는 기술은 미비하다. 일반적으로 네트워크 장비에서 구현되는 기술로써 네트워크 장비를 경유하여 입출력되는 트래픽에 대해 특수한 목적으로 활용하는 네트워크 기술의 일부이다. 이러한 특수 목적을 달성하기 위한 L4 Switch 장비와 네트워크 구조에 따라 여러 대의 추가적인 비용들이 발생한다. 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위하여 단말기의 Network Layer에서 L4 스위치의 Redirection기능을 구현하여 네트워크 구조에 관계없이 원하는 Traffic을 한 곳으로 집중시켜 통제와 모니터링을 중앙 집중하여 관리할 필요성이 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 Client 단에서의 Protocol Redirection을 통한 트래픽의 중앙통제시스템을 제안하고자 한다.

교통환기력에 의한 터널내 환기량 추정에 관한 연구 (Estimation of Ventilation Volume by Traffic Ventilation Force in Tunnel)

  • This study is to estimate the ventilation volume by the traffic that originated from driving automobiles for two tunnels (Kugi tunnel and Kumhwa tunnel) that adopted natural ventilation system among tunnels of Seoul, and on the basis of which, we estimated the ventilation velume at various conditions. With the result of the estimation, we will present the basic method that can be operated with the optimum condition for the ventilation system. Estimating the predicted ventilation volume in the tennel by the pollutant concentration, we used traffic volume and CO emission data by the automobile speed and CO concentration in the tunnel. And, when we estimated the traffic ventilation volume by natural and traffic ventilation force, we used traffic volume, automobile speed, tunnel area, automobile area data and so on. As the result of simple regression between predicted ventilation volume and traffic ventilation volume, we attained the regression coefficient 0.88, and achieved the relation form that predicted ventilation volume equal 0.12x traffic ventilation volume-92, 000. Using this equation, we estimated the ventilation volume to satisfy the enviromnental standards of several space, and calculated the required volume for mechanical ventilation. Incase of Kumhwa Tunnel, there is a need of mechanical ventilation all day long to satisfy air quality standard 9 ppm for 8 hours average and 10 ppm for the indoor air quality standard of public facilities.
