An Analysis of Idling Stop Time Using Real On-road Driving Data (실도로 주행 데이터를 이용한 공회전 정지 시간의 분석)

  • In this study, the real on-road driving data were analyzed to draw the various characteristics related to idling of vehicles. The results revealed that the average idling time of a city bus corresponds to 30.9% of the total daily driving time. Among this, for about 21.6% of the total daily driving time, it is available that an engine can be halted while the vehicle stops. It is a daytime when the portion of time, for which idling stop is available, is peak. Due to idling stop, an increase of turnaround was not found throughout this analysis. When a city bus stops at a traffic right, idling periods were long enough to execute the idling stop, during which an engine halts. Whereas, during the idling time for bus stops, the idling periods were not so long enough to execute idling stop. Deceleration periods among the total turnarounds of a city bus occupies about 24.7%, during which, for about 30%, a deceleration maintains for more than four seconds. Thus, using the energy during deceleration period, which then can be recovered from braking energy, it was also found that a hybrid system can be effectively implemented to a city bus.

A Study of the noise level in hospital and the Count-Measure against the noise (병실내 소음도와 환자와의 관계)

  • In this study noise source in a ward at four general hospitals in Seoul area has been investigated and analysed. The degree of reaction against noise by 171 randomly has also been examined. The results of the study have shown that the source of noise is the speakers of wired broadcasting or from visiting guests in two hospitals located in residential area. The patients at the two other hospitals located at commercial site have been suffered more from traffic noise. However, because of their separated living at hospital from their ordinary houselife, sixty one percent of the inpatients have wished a music sound of around 60 dB (A). After having considered the results of the investigation and wishes of the inpatients, following suggestions have been made: 1. Reduce the number of guests or their length of stay. 2. Wired broadcasting system should be substitued by wireless one, or if it's unavoidable, it should be used in office rooms only. 3. Since the stops and starts of vehicles induce much noise, Seoul City Government be requested to prepare an appropriate administrative measure for the vehicles around hospital area and it should prevent the establishment of new hospitals along high way site. 4. By using earphone, inpatients can choose a wireless channel according to each individual's taste. This through the masking effect, would cover up the noise source. 5. Rooms along the streets should be utilized as offices, otherwise double windows should be set up for inpatient's wards.

A Study on the Introduction Direction of Private Investigation Law (민간조사업법의 도입방향에 관한 연구)

  • The important items, which should be considered in Private Investigation Law, can include subjects, licenses, the scope of business, qualifying examinations, and supervisory and penal provisions. The subjects of Private Investigation Law should be permitted to be both natural persons and juridical persons in terms of providing various services, but should be permitted to be juridical persons and should be administered on a license system, even in order to ensure public interests. Concretely, the introduction scope of Private Investigation Law can be regulated to include the followings: that is, investigating the whereabouts identification of runaways and missing children, investigating the personal identification, habit, way of action, motivation, whereabouts identification, real child confirmation, association, transaction, reputation, and personality of specific persons or specific groups, investigating the whereabouts identification of missing persons, owners of government-vested properties or renounced properties, investigating the whereabouts of lost properties or stolen properties, investigating the causes of fire, character defamation, slander, damage, accident, physical disability, infringement on real estate or movable property, and investigating all sorts of accidents including traffic accidents, insurance accidents, and medical malpractices. In the qualifying examination, examinees' age should be restricted to be over age 25. The person, who is exempted from its primary examination, should be restricted to be the person, who has the career of over 20 years in related fields, in consideration of its equity with other certificates of qualification. In the supervisory institution, as the policy institution is the supervisory institution in many countries including France (the police) and Japan (public security committee), so the National Policy Agency should be the supervisory institution in consideration of management aspects. In the penal regulations, especially, we should clarify the management of personal information (personal information protection, personal information management), and so should prevent the infringement of people's basic rights, and then should ensure the public interest.

Fuzzy Logic Based Modeling of an Incident Detection Algorithm (퍼지이론을 이용한 유고감지 알고리즘)

  • 본 논문은 다이아몬드 인터체인지에서의 유고감지모형 개발을 위해 퍼지이론을 응용한 연구를 문서화 한 것이다. 지금까지의 교차로와 일반도로(고속도로가 아닌)에서의 유고감지에 관한 연구는 초기에 불과하다. 기존의 알고리즘들은 필요한 데이터 보존의 어 려움과 유고감지의 특성과 관련된 기술적 어려움을 효과적으로 극복하지 못하고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 다이아몬드 인터체인지에서의 유고감지를 위한 새로운 모형을 개발하는데 있다. 이 연구를 통하여 개발된 유고감지 모형은 차량차단 유고(lane-blocking incidents) 를 감지하는데, 감지의 범위는 차량차단 유고의 경향이 교통 장황에 특정한 패턴을 형성 하고 그에 따른 신호제어전략의 조정이 요구될 때에 국한된다. 이 모형은 전통적인 통계 치를 이용한 유고감지감 고유의 문제를 해결하며, 보다 정확하고 신뢰성 있는 유고감지를 위해 다양한 교통변수를 이용하여 전체적인 유고의 경향을 포착한다. 또한 이 모형은 실 시간 교통대응 다이아몬드 인터체인지 신호제어 시스템 (real-time traffic adaptive diamond interchange control system)의 구성요소로써 사용되며, 그리고 더 큰 교차로 시스템에의 상용을 위하여 확장이 용역하도록 설계되었다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된 프로 토타입(prototype) 유고감지 모형은 실제의 다이아몬드 인터체인지에 적용되어, 감지율, 오보율, 평감지시간의 세 달로써 성능이 평가되었다. 모형의 성능평가 결과는 무적이었으 며, 퍼지이론은 유고감지에 효과적인 접근방법임을 확인할 수 있었다.투자의 타당성을 실증적으로 보여 주고 있다.산정 절차 정립에 엇갈림 알고리즘을 활용하는 방안을 제시하였다.자함수를 추정한 뒤 이를 이용해 업종, 기업규모, 상품유형별로 적합한 모델(Fixed Effects Model)을 결정하고, 각각에 해당하는 통계모형을 구축하였다. 이 결과 (1) 업종 및 기업규모별로 그룹간에 유의한 특성이 발견되었으며, (2) R&D 및 광고투자는 기업의 시장성과를 설명하는 중요한 변수이나, (3) R&D 투자의 경우는 광고에 비해 불확실성이 존재하는 것으로 나타났고, (4) 수리모형에서 도출된 한계원리가 통계모형에서도 유효한 것으로 드러났다.등을 토대로 한 10대 산업을 육성하기 위하여 과학기술부는 기술수요조사를 바탕으로 49개 주요기술을 도출하여, 과학기술 일류 국가 실현, 국민소득 2만불 달성이라는 국가적 슬로건을 내걸고 “차세대 성장동력” 창출을 위한 범정부차원의 기획과 연구비의 집중투자를 추진하고 있다.달성하기 위해서는 종합류류 전산망의 시급한 구축과 함께 화물차의 적재율을 높이고 공차율을 낮출 수 있는 운송체계의 수립이 필요한 것으로 판단된다. 그라나 이러한 화물전용차선의 효과는 단기적인 치유책일 수밖에 없기 때문에 물류유통 시설의 확충을 위한 사회간접자본의 구축을 서둘러 시행하여야 할 것이다.으로 처리한 Machine oil, Phenthoate EC 및 Trichlorfon WP는 비교적 약효가 낮았다.>$^{\circ}$E/$\leq$30$^{\circ}$NW 단열군이 연구지역 내에서 지하수 유동성이 가장 높은 단열군으로 추정된다. 이러한 사실은 3개 시추공을 대상으로 실시한

Measure of Agreement between Prehospital EMS Personnel and Hospital Staffs using Guidelines for Field Triage of Injured Patients (외상환자의 병원 전 및 병원단계 중증도 평가의 일치도)

  • Purpose: The field trauma triage for injured patients is essential for trauma care system. In this study, agreement of patient evaluation between by prehospital EMS personnel and by hospital staffs and the appropriateness of prehospital triage were evaluated. Methods: This observational study was conducted from September to October 2012 for 5 weeks. During this period, EMT evaluated patient's severity according to guideline for field triage and recorded. Same guideline was applied in 26 hospitals for patients with EMS use. Kappa statistics were used to measure agreement for each item of guideline. Finally, over-triage and under-triage rate of EMT were calculated. Results: During study period, total 3,106 patients were transferred to 26 hospital emergency departments with EMS use. Kappa statistics for "vital signs" items were 0.45 for mentality lower than V and 0.44 for systolic blood pressure lower than 90 mmHg as a moderate agreement. In "anatomy of injury" items Kappa statistics were very low. In "mechanism of injury" items Kappa statistics were 0.28 for high-rise fall down and 0.27 for high energy traffic accident but in other items Kappa statistics were very low. 362 patients (12.0%) were over-triaged and 281 patients (9.3%) were under-triaged. Conclusion: Field triage can be applied but need to evaluate and modify in order to become accurate and sensitive for decision of transportation.

A Study on Analyzing Children's Crossing Behaviors on Non-signalized Crosswalk (비신호 횡단보도에서의 어린이 횡단행태 분석 연구)

  • The study aims to find the characteristics of children's crossing behavior on crosswalk in school zones. It considers accident occurrence and physical form of school zones. Seven elementary school zones were investigated. Using data collected by field observation and video recording, statistical analysis, CHAID algorithm analysis, and pattern analysis were performed. As a result, it was found that children's waiting, attention and distraction were related to the accident occurrence. While 69.1% children showed waiting-before-crossing behavior in low-accident occurrence crosswalk, 83.6% children showed non waiting-before-crossing behavior in high-accident occurrence crosswalk. Moreover, the ratio of waiting, attention behavior was found to be higher when the width of the crosswalk was wide and the distance from the school's entrance to the crosswalk was long. These research findings showed that children's behavior-oriented approach was required to improve safety in school zone.

A Study on the Transport-related Impacts of Flexible Working Policy using Activity-Based Model (활동기반모형을 이용한 유연근무제의 교통부문 영향 연구)

  • This study aims to evaluate the availability of ABM (Active-Based Model), FEATHERS, as a policy evaluation tool. To achieve the goal, scenario analysis on flexible working policy was conducted to measure its impact on activity-travel behavior. As a consequence, there seems no significant change in worker's daily life, other than mitigating traffic congestion due to decreasing commuting travel in the rush hour. The result of VKT (vehicle kilometers traveled) shows an opposite pattern according to given household/individual constraints. The scenario analysis on telecommuting indicates a decreasing trend in both travel frequency and distance because of the diminished number of commuting trips. As the activity space of telecommuters is shifted to a residential area, there are more short-distance trips by using non-motorized transport, which leads to decrease in VKT (using a private vehicle). Thus, the sensitivity of VKT by population groups varies due to transport mode shift (between personal and another mode) and growing non-work trips (using a private mode). This study found few things. First, it is necessary to evaluate the details of policy impact by population groups since it can be varied depending on household/individual characteristics. Second, the case study shows a promising performance of ABM as policy measurement that provides reality in policy evaluation. Third, ABM allows us to do more accurate analysis (i.e. time-series analysis by population groups) of policy assessment than those of FSM (Four-Step Model). Lastly, a further effort in data collection, literature review, and expert survey should be made to enhance the accuracy and confidence of future research.

Performance Evaluation of MAC Protocols Considering Various Input Traffic in WDM Metro Ring Networks (WDM 메트로 링 망에서 다양한 입력 트래픽을 고려한 MAC 프로토콜의 성능분석)

  • 본 논문에서는 광대역 통신 방송 융합 서비스 제공을 고려한 WDM 메트로 링 망을 위한 매체 접근 제어(Medium Access Control; MAC) 프로토콜의 성능을 분석한다. 현재 인터넷은 통신 방송 융합 망으로 진화하고 있으며 다양한 트래픽 특성을 갖는 서비스가 액세스 망에서 메트로 망으로 유입되고 있다. 그러나 기존 메트로 망의 MAC 프로토콜은 이러한 망 환경 변화를 고려하지 않고 단순하고 동일한 트래픽만을 고려하여 성능을 분석하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 메트로 링에 연결된 액세스 노드의 입력 트래픽을 Self-Similar와 Poisson 트래픽으로 분류하여 기존 MAC 프로토콜의 성능을 분석하고 평가한다. 메트로 링 망에 연결된 액세스 노드는 이 두 종류의 트래픽 중에서 하나를 망에 유입하며 채널을 공유하는 노드 수에 따라서 다양한 트래픽 환경이 고려된다. WDM 메트로 링망의 기본 MAC 프로토콜은 CSMA/CA(Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Avoidance)이며, 패킷을 빈 슬롯에 전송하고 송신지에서 패킷을 제거하는 SS (Source-Stripping) 기반으로 운용된다. 본 논문에서는 SS 방식으로 생성된 빈 슬롯을 바로 패킷 전송에 이용하는 방식과 그렇지 않은 방식을 각각 1-Persistent와 non-Persistent로 분류하고 MAC 프로토콜을 분석하여 기존 방식의 장 단점을 비교한다. 또한 전송 공정성과 처리율을 같이 고려하여 적용할 수 있는 확률 기반 p-Persistent MAC 프로토콜도 분석하였으며 시뮬레이션을 통하여 각 프로토콜을 노드 처리율, 전송 지연, 패킷 손실률, 전송 공정성 관점에서 비교하고 평가한다.y 수행을 여러 서버로 분산처리하게 함으로써 성능에 대한 신뢰성을 향상 시킬 수 있는 Load Balancing System을 제안한다.할 때 가장 효과적인 라우팅 프로토콜이라고 할 수 있다.iRNA 상의 의존관계를 분석할 수 있었다.수안보 등 지역에서 나타난다 이러한 이상대 주변에는 대개 온천이 발달되어 있었거나 새로 개발되어 있는 곳이다. 온천에 이용하고 있는 시추공의 자료는 배제하였으나 온천이응으로 직접적으로 영향을 받지 않은 시추공의 자료는 사용하였다 이러한 온천 주변 지역이라 하더라도 실제는 온천의 pumping 으로 인한 대류현상으로 주변 일대의 온도를 올려놓았기 때문에 비교적 높은 지열류량 값을 보인다. 한편 한반도 남동부 일대는 이번 추가된 자료에 의해 새로운 지열류량 분포 변화가 나타났다 강원 북부 오색온천지역 부근에서 높은 지열류량 분포를 보이며 또한 우리나라 대단층 중의 하나인 양산단층과 같은 방향으로 발달한 밀양단층, 모량단층, 동래단층 등 주변부로 NNE-SSW 방향의 지열류량 이상대가 발달한다. 이것으로 볼 때 지열류량은 지질구조와 무관하지 않음을 파악할 수 있다. 특히 이러한 단층대 주변은 지열수의 순환이 깊은 심도까지 가능하므로 이러한 대류현상으로 지표부근까지 높은 지온 전달이 되어 나타나는 것으로 판단된다.의 안정된 방사성표지효율을 보였다. $^{99m}Tc$-transferrin을 이용한 감염영상을 성공적으로 얻을 수 있었으며, $^{67}Ga$-citrate 영상과 비교하여 더 빠른 시간 안에 우수한 영상을 얻을 수 있었다. 그러므로 $^{99m}Tc$-transierrin이 감염 병소의 영상진단에 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된

Performance Analysis of Mobility Support Protocols for IPv6 over Wireless LAN (IEEE 802.11 무선랜 환경에서의 이동성 지원 IPv6프로토콜의 성능분석)

  • Several nv6 mobility support protocols for mobile Internet services are proposed in IETP : Mobile Ipv6, Hierarchical Mobile Ipv6, and Fast Handovers over Mobile Ipv6. Recently, IEEE 802.11 network has also been widely deployed in public areas for mobile Internet services. In the near future, IPv6 mobility support over IEEE 802.11 network is expected to be a key function to actualize the All If-based mobile various services. For appropriate application of these protocols, the IPv6 mobility support protocols should be analyzed according to their characteristics in terms of signaling, handover latency, lost packets, and required buffer sire as well as the impact of lower layer such as IEEE 802.11 network. In this paper, we analyze the performance of the protocols over IEEE 802.11 network. We define a packet-level traffic model, a network system model, and a mobility model. From these models, we construct a framework for the performance analysis. We also make cost functions to formalize each protocol's performance. Lastly, we analyze the effect of varying parameters used to show diverse numerical results, and compare with each other. From the analysis results, it is concluded that each Protocol has contrary or contrastive advantages with other Protocols, so there is no protocol that holds a dominant position.

An Experimental Study About a Net-Type External Prestress Strengthening Method for Slab Bridges (네트형 외부 긴장재에 의한 슬래브교 보강 실험)

  • Large portion of the domestic bridges are slab bridges reflecting the geographical characteristic of the country, where exists lots of inclines and small winding brooks. Many of the slab bridges are damaged and superannuated as they become obsolete. Deterioration is accelerated when the traffic density becomes large and heavy vehicles pass frequently. A strengthening method for deteriorated slab bridges was studied in this work. The examined net-type strengthening method uses both longitudinal and transverse prestressing for strengthening. In this way, the deflection at the center of the slab can be better controlled, and consequently, the slab is more efficiently strengthened. Three slab specimens were fabricated for the experimental test and subjected to three different loading conditions, and the load bearing capacities and deflections of slabs were examined. Flexural stiffness of slabs increased by 30.7~107.3%, and deflection of slabs decreased by 27.6~52.2% after net-type strengthening. The net-type prestressing is efficient to the strengthening for the center of a slab, and its efficiency is also valid under eccentric loadings. Since extra prestress forces can be added in the future, if necessary, the net-type strengthening system is advantagous for the maintenance and repair of slab bridges.
