Video Streaming Receiver with Token Bucket Automatic Parameter Setting Scheme by Video Information File needing Successful Acknowledge Character (성공적인 확인응답이 필요한 비디오 정보 파일에 의한 토큰버킷 자동 파라메타 설정 기법을 가진 비디오 스트리밍 수신기)

  • The amount of packets in palyout buffer of video streaming receiver can be changed by network condition, and saturated and exhausted by the delay and jitter. Especially, if the amount of incoming video traffic exceeds the maximum allowed playout buffer, buffer overflow problem can be generated. It makes the deterioration of video image and the discontinuity of playout by skip phenomenon. Also, if the incoming packets are delayed by network confusion, the stop phenomenon of video image is made by buffering due to buffer underflow problem. To solve these problems, this paper proposes the video streaming receiver with token bucket scheme which automatically establishes the important parameters like token generation rate r and bucket maximum capacity c adapting to the pattern of video packets. The simulation results using network simulator-2 (NS-2) and joint scalable video model (JSVM) show that the proposed token bucket scheme with automatic establishment parameter provides better performance than the existing token bucket scheme with manual establishment parameter in terms of the generation number of overflow and underflow, packer loss rate, and peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) in three test video sequences.

  • Recently, in addition to the sharp increase of mobile nodes, various kinds of wireless technologies are available for mobile nodes. If IPv6 technology is applied to the network, multi-homing terminals which have several public IP addresses on one interface will be common. Accordingly, there are many research activities on mobility management for multi-interface, multi-homming nodes. In this paper we propose an extended fast handover mechanism for multi-interface MIPv6 environments that uses multi-interface FBU (MFBU) message instead of the existing FBU message. The MFBU message has the "tunnel destination" mobility option that points a specific tunnel destination other than NAR, and "T" flag that indicates the existence of tunnel destination option. The proposed mechanism can improve the TCP performance by mitigating packet reordering during FMIPv6 handover that can cause unnecessary congestion control due to 3 duplicate ACKs. In this paper, we implemented a multi-Interface MIPv6 simulator by extending a single-interface MIPv6 simulator in NS-2, and showed that the performance of TCP traffic is improved by using the proposed multi-interface fast MIPv6.

Power Allocation Scheme For Mobile Communication Systems Using Directional Transmission (방향성 전송을 사용하는 이동통신 시스템을 고려한 파워 할당 방안)

  • Directional transmission is one of key technology to solve the utmost problem that current mobile communication system faces, which is explosively increasing data traffic, since directional transmission can maximize the throughput of mobile communication systems. In this work, we consider power allocation scheme for mobile communication system which utilizing directional transmission. Especially, we consider the case in which multiple users in the same sector of base station, are served at the same time by utilizing directional transmission. For this scenarios, we consider equal power allocation scheme, Water-filling based scheme and inverse SNR scheme. Moreover, we propose beam power allocation scheme whose objective is to maximize overall system throughput by taking into account interference between different directional transmissions. Moreover, we have examined the spectral efficiency and Jain's fairness index of various power allocation schemes for directional transmission by using system level simulator that has been developed in our previous work. Through simulations, it has been verified that the proposed power allocation scheme can improve the spectral efficiency of the system by 28%.

Study of the Operation of Actuated signal control Based on Vehicle Queue Length estimated by Deep Learning (딥러닝으로 추정한 차량대기길이 기반의 감응신호 연구)

  • As a part of realization of artificial intelligence signal(AI Signal), this study proposed an actuated signal algorithm based on vehicle queue length that estimates in real time by deep learning. In order to implement the algorithm, we built an API(COM Interface) to control the micro traffic simulator Vissim in the tensorflow that implements the deep learning model. In Vissim, when the link travel time and the traffic volume collected by signal cycle are transferred to the tensorflow, the vehicle queue length is estimated by the deep learning model. The signal time is calculated based on the vehicle queue length, and the simulation is performed by adjusting the signaling inside Vissim. The algorithm developed in this study is analyzed that the vehicle delay is reduced by about 5% compared to the current TOD mode. It is applied to only one intersection in the network and its effect is limited. Future study is proposed to expand the space such as corridor control or network control using this algorithm.

  • The era of Big Data has come and the importance of Big Data has been rapidly growing. The part of transportation, the Four-Step Travel Demand Model(FSTDM), a traditional Trip-Based Model(TBM) reaches its limit. In recent years, a traffic demand forecasting method using the Activity-Based Model(ABM) emerged as a new paradigm. Given that transportation means the spatial movement of people and goods in a certain period of time, transportation could be very closely associated with spatial data. So, I mined Spatial Big Data from SNS. After that, I analyzed the character of these data from SNS and test the reliability of the data through compared with the attributes of TBM. Finally, I built a database from SNS for the operation of ABM and manipulate an ABM simulator, then I consider the result. Through this research, I was successfully able to create a spatial database from SNS and I found possibilities to overcome technical limitations on using Spatial Big Data in the transportation planning process. Moreover, it was an opportunity to seek ways of further research development.

Influence of Oxygen Rate on Driver Fatigue During Simulated Driving (차량 시뮬레이터에서 산소농도에 따른 운전 피로감의 평가)

  • Driving involves a series of complicated precesses requiring various human capacities, such as perception, will decision, and athletic functions. Consequently, it induces a high degree of continuous concentration of mind and tension from external stimulation, bringing fatigue to the driver, and driver fatigue is counted as one of the major causes of traffic accidents. Nevertheless, because of the complicated urban lives, traffic congestion, job characteristics, and so on, the drivers have to spend a longer time inside a vehicle, and the fatigue and stress thereof is almost unavoidable. We haute, therefore, turned our attention to the reduction in the fatigue during driving by supplying oxygen, and investigated in this research the drivers subjective fatigue evaluations and reaction time when oxygen is supplied in different rates. As a result, we have found that the subjective fatigue feeling is highest at low-rate O/Sub 2/ supply (18%), and fatigue feeling was comparatively reduced at high-rate O/Sub 2/ (30%). The sleepiness also showed the tendency to be reduced at high-rate O/Sub 2/ supply in the case of driving for 1 hour or more. The time for reaction to braking after the sign for urgent stop is given tends to show more substantial reduction at high-rate O/Sub 2/ supply than at low-rate O/Sub 2/ supply after 2 hours driving. It can, therefore, be deduced from the aforesaid results that the subjective responses and behavioral reactions tend to show reduced fatigue at the condition of high-rate O/Sub 2/ supply. Hence, it was suggested that drivers felt subjective fatigue while driving at low-rate O/Sub 2/ and the subjective fatigue and reaction time were reduced at high-rate O/Sub 2/. These findings suggest that the oxygen supply will reduce driver fatigue.

Development of an Evaluation Method for a Driver's Cognitive Workload Using ECG Signal (ECG 기반의 운전자별 인지 부하 평가 방법 개발)

  • High cognitive workload decreases a driver's ability of judgement and response in traffic situation and could result in a traffic accident. Electrocardiography (ECG) has been used for evaluation of drivers' cognitive workload; however, individual differences in ECG response corresponding to cognitive workload have not been fully considered. The present study developed an evaluation method of individual driver's cognitive workload based on ECG data, and evaluated its usefulness through an experiment in a driving simulator. The evaluation method developed by the present study determined the optimal ECG evaluation condition for individual participant by analysis of area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) for various conditions (total number of conditions = 144) in terms of four aspects (ECG measure, window span, update rate, and workload level). AUC analysis on the various conditions showed that the optimal ECG evaluation condition for each participant was significantly different. In addition, the optimal ECG evaluation condition could accurately detect changes in cognitive workload for 47% of the total participants (n = 15). The evaluation method proposed in the present study can be utilized in the evaluation of individual driver's cognitive workload for an intelligent vehicle.

  • 본 논문은 ATMS와 ATIS에서 요구되는 교통관리 및 정보제공의 효과분석을 위해, 운전자의 주행 및 경로선택 의사결정과 교통제어에 대한 반응등 운전자 행태를 모의실험에 반영함으로써 교통시스템의 실시간 특성을 모사할 수 있는 모형을 구축하고 이를 기반으로 하는 미시적 교통 모의실험기를 개발하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구에서는 운전자, 차량, 교통망, 검지 및 신호시스템, 교통정보제공시스템 등을 교통시스템의 주요 구성요소로 설정하였으며 운전자 및 차량특성, 차두시간분포와 차량발생모형, 차량주행모형, 차로변경 및 간격수락모형, 경로선택모형을 주모의실험모형을 구성하는 부모형으로 결정하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 각각의 부모형들에 대한 최근의 연구결과들을 검토하고, 현실모사 능력과 함께 다른 부모형들과의 연계, 모의실험기의 구현상에서의 적합성 등을 고려하여 적정모형의 선정 및 수정, 새로운 부모형의 구축을 수행하였다. 구축된 부모형을 통합하여 교통모의실험기를 개발하였으며 구축된 모형의 타당성 및 적용성 검토를 위해 현장자료 및 가상자료를 이용한 검증을 수행하였다. 검증결과 모형의 목적인 교통제어 및 정보제공등의 시스템 대안의 평가에 이용 가능한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 본 논문의 연구결과는 교통제어 및 정보제공전략 대안의 평가뿐만 아니라 차량추종 및 차로변경 등의 미시적 교통모형 연구, 동적기종점 통행량 추정, 동적통행배정의 연구에도 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 본 논문의 연구모형은 현단계에서는 현실의 모사 및 분석을 위한 도구보다는 새로운 대안들간의 비교평가를 위한 도구로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 이에 따라 현실모사의 정확도를 확보하기 위한 검증 및 개선이 필요할 것이며, 각 부모형들에 대한 계속적인 연구와 새롭게 발표되는 연구결과를 수용한 지속적인 개발이 필요할 것이다.유기적인 연계에 있음을 밝히고 있다. 건설을 위한 정책적 시사점과 동북아 연구개발정보 Portal 및 APEC APGrid 연구망 등의 구체적인 정보인프라 구축방안을 도출하였다.술 주기를 도출하고, 산업 내 평균 권리 청구 항목 수를 이용하여 각 산업의 기술 범위를 비교하였다. 각각의 동적 분석을 통해 시간에 따른 변화 양상이 관찰하였고, ANOVA 분석을 이용하여 통계적 유의성을 검증하였다. 본 연구는 현재의 기술 패러다임 내에서 Pavitt이 제시한 산업 분류의 근거를 보충 설명하였고 특허 정보를 이용하여 기술혁신의 산업별 유형에 대한 폭넓은 분석방법을 제시하였다.별 시간대별 효과분석을 통하여 정책의 시행여부가 결정되어야 할 것이다. 한편, 화물전용차선의 설치로 인한 물류비용의 절감을 보다 효과적으로 달성하기 위해서는 종합류류 전산망의 시급한 구축과 함께 화물차의 적재율을 높이고 공차율을 낮출 수 있는 운송체계의 수립이 필요한 것으로 판단된다. 그라나 이러한 화물전용차선의 효과는 단기적인 치유책일 수밖에 없기 때문에 물류유통 시설의 확충을 위한 사회간접자본의 구축을 서둘러 시행하여야 할 것이다.으로 처리한 Machine oil, Phenthoate EC 및 Trichlorfon WP는 비교적 약효가 낮았다.>$^{\circ}$E/$\leq$30$^{\circ}$NW 단열군이 연구지역 내에서 지하수 유동성이 가장 높은 단열군으로 추정된다. 이러한 사실은 3개 시추공을 대상으로 실시한 시추공 내 물리검층과 정압주입시험에서도 확인된다.. Development of an Actuated Traffic Signal Control Strategy to Minimize Dilemma Zone (딜레마 구간 최소화를 위한 감응식 신호제어전략의 개발)

  • Most of the traffic accidents are a rear-end collision and a clash generated in the signalized intersection on the local roads. So, it is demanded that the high-quality of signal control and dilemma zone control. According to the cases generated by foreign countries, we established the strategies which are composed of Volume-Density Control, strategy of the dilemma zone control using R-detector (microwave detector) In Japan and EC-DC Control. MOEs(Measure of effectiveness) are car numbers in the dilemma zone , max-out probability in the safe side and the average stopping delay in the progress side. We choose a signalized intersection in rural highway to analyze the effect of the strategies and practiced an on-the-spot survey. The result of the survey is applied to the basic data in the simulator. Consequently, strategy of the dilemma zone control using R-detector(microwave detector) in Japan is the best effective in the safe side and EC-DC control is the best in the progress side. Based on the result, we developed the effective strategy of the signal control . This strategy is composed of the strategy of Japan and the detector on the stopping line used in the EC-DC control. On the result of the analysis, new strategy is the best effective in two sides.

  • Personal Air Vehicle (PAV), Cargo UAS (Cargo UAS), and existing manned and unmanned aircraft are key vehicles for urban air mobility (UAM), and should demonstrate compatibility for the design of aircraft systems. The safety assessment required by for certification to ensure safety and reliability should be systematically performed throughout the entire cycle from the beginning of the aircraft development process. However, with the increasing complexity of safety critical aviation systems and the application of state-of-the-art systems, conventional experience-based and procedural-based safety evaluation methods make ir difficult to objectively assess safety requirements and system safety. Therefore, Model-Based Safety Assessment (MBSA) using modeling and simulation techniques is actively being studied at domestic and foreign countries to address these problems. In this paper, we propose a Model-Based Safety Evaluation framework utilizing modeling and simulation-based integrated flight simulators. Our case studies on the Traffic Collision Availability System (TCAS) and Wheel Brake System (WBS) confirmed that they are practical for future safety assessments.
