비쥬얼 센서 네트워크에서 트래픽 예측 방법 (Traffic Estimation Method for Visual Sensor Networks)

  • 최근 비쥬얼 센서 기술의 발달로 센서 네트워크에 영상을 추가하기 위한 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 비쥬얼 센서는 다른 센서 정보에 비해 데이터가 크기 때문에 데이터의 크기를 효율적으로 관리하는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 효과적인 데이터 관리에 필요한 비디오 트래픽 예측 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 비디오 센서에서 획득되는 영상의 특성을 반영하여 1차 AR 모델로 비디오 트래픽을 모델링하고 칼만필터 알고리즘을 적용하여 트래픽을 예측한다. 제안하는 방법은 계산량이 많지 않아 센서 노드에 적용되기 적합하다. 실험 결과는 제안하는 방법이 비교적 간단한 형태이지만 전체 평균 트래픽의 1% 이내로 오차로 정확하게 트래픽을 예측하는 것을 보여준다.

PLS구조방정식 모형을 활용한 교통문화지수의 영향관계 실증연구 (An Empirical Study of Influence Relationship on Traffic Culture Index(TCI) utilizing PLS-SEM(Structural Equation Modeling))

  • The traffic culture index is used as a major index in evaluating the traffic safety services of local governments and also serve as important data for the planning and implementation of traffic safety services. However, as the traffic culture index gradually became a standard for comparison among local governments, in part, certain cases arose which questioned the grounds for selecting variables for the index and the validity of the index in terms of its influential relationship between evaluation items. This study analyzed the index's influential relationship by utilizing a PLS structural equation model based on the evaluation results of the 2011 traffic culture index. A variable-linking model was created which recognized the relativity taking into account of the indirect effects between latent variables and this model was proven to be a model suitable in explaining the traffic culture index with a 97.8% explanation power. It was found that traffic safety(0.530), driving behavior(0.527), pedestrian behavior(0.187) and vulnerable road users(0.147), in such order, had an effect on the traffic culture index. It was also found that human casualties due to traffic accidents under "traffic safety" and traffic light compliance rate under "driving behavior" had an important effect. The study showed that motor vehicle share in illegal parking in school zones did not have a valid explanation power regarding "vulnerable road users".

A Novel Technique for Human Traffic based Radio Map Updating in Wi-Fi Indoor Positioning Systems

  • With the fast-developing of mobile terminals, positioning techniques based on fingerprinting method draws attention from many researchers even world famous companies. To conquer some shortcomings of the existing fingerprinting systems and further improve its performance, we propose a radio map building and updating technique, which is able to customize the spatial and temporal dependency of radio maps. The method includes indoor propagation and penetration modeling and the analysis of human traffic. Based on the combination of Ray-Tracing Algorithm, Finite-Different Time-Domain and Rough Set Theory, the approach of indoor propagation modeling accurately represents the spatial dependency of the radio map. In terms of temporal dependency, we specifically study the factor of moving people in the interest area. With measurement and statistics, the factor of human traffic is introduced as the temporal updating component. We improve our existing indoor positioning system with the proposed building and updating method, and compare the localization accuracy. The results show that the enhanced system can conquer the influence caused by moving people, and maintain the confidence probability stable during week, which enhance the actual availability and robustness of fingerprinting-based indoor positioning system.

  • In this paper, traffic modeling and control design was considered to analyze and improve the stability of train diagram in the open-loop Metro line. A complete discrete-event traffic model describing the natural instability of open-loop metro line is analyzed. The traffic stability properties are introduced and easy-to-implement state feed back traffic control algorithms are designed, which satisfied with system stability.

네트워크 게임 트래픽 분석 및 모델링 (Traffic Analysis and Modeling for Network Games)

  • 초고속 인터넷의 보급이 대중화되고 콘솔 게임기와 모바일이 네트워크 게임을 지원하면서 온라인 게임 산업이 빠르게 성장하고 있으며, 온라인 게임으로 인한 인터넷 트래픽이 꾸준히 증가하고 있다. 게임 네트워크의 설계나 시뮬레이션을 위해서는 온라인 게임 트래픽의 분석이 선행되어야 하기 때문에, 온라인 게임의 트래픽에 관련된 연구가 국내 외에서 꾸준히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문은 온라인 게임의 트래픽 측정과 분석을 위하여 게임 전용 트래픽 측정 및 분석 툴인 GameNet Analyzer를 제작하여 사용하였다. 서로 다른 장르의 게임인 Quake 3, Starcraft, WoW(World of Warcraft)의 트래픽을 측정하여 플레이어의 수와 게임 플레이 방식에 따른 패킷 크기, 패킷 IAT(inter-arrival time), 데이터 전송률과 패킷 전송률을 분석하고, 측정된 데이터를 이용하여 트래픽을 모델링한다. 이러한 게임 트래픽의 분석이나 트래픽 모델은 효율적인 네트워크 시뮬레이션, 게임 네트워크의 성능 평가, 온라인 게임의 설계 등에 활용될 수 있다.

Spatial experience based route finding using ontologies

  • Spatial experiences in route finding, such as the ability of finding low-traffic routes, exert a significant influence on travel time in big cities; therefore, the spatial experiences of seasoned individuals such as taxi drivers in route finding can be useful for improving route-finding algorithms and preventing using routes having considerable traffic. In this regard, a spatial experience-based route-finding algorithm is introduced through ontology in this paper. To this end, different methods of modeling experiences are investigated. Then, a modeling method is chosen for modeling the experiences of drivers for route finding depending on the advantages of ontology, and an ontology based on the taxi drivers' experiences is proposed. This ontology is employed to create an ontology-based route-finding algorithm. The results are compared with those of Google maps in terms of route length and travel time at peak traffic time. According to the results, although the route lengths of route-finding method based on the ontology of drivers' experiences in three cases (from nine cases) are greater than that based on Google maps, the travel times are shorter in most cases, and in some routes, the difference in travel time reaches only 10 minutes.

실시간 퍼지 시간논리구조를 이용한 교차로 네트워크의 모델링과 제어 (Modeling and Control of Intersection Network using Real-Time Fuzzy Temporal Logic Framework)

  • This paper deals with modeling method and application of Fuzzy Discrete Event System(FDES). FDES have characteristics which Crisp Discrete Event System(CDES) can't deals with and is constituted with the events that is determined by vague and uncertain judgement like biomedical or traffic control. We proposed Real-time Fuzzy Temporal Logic Framework(RFTLF) to model Fuzzy Discrete Event System. It combines Temporal Logic Framework with Fuzzy Theory. We represented the model of traffic signal systems for intersection to have the property of Fuzzy Discrete Event System with Real-time Fuzzy Temporal Logic Framework and designed a traffic signal controller for smooth traffic flow. Moreover, we proposed the method to find the minimum-time route to reach the desired destination with information obtained in each intersection. In order to evaluate the performance of Real-time Fuzzy Temporal Logic Framework model proposed in this paper, we simulated unit-time extension traffic signal controller model of the latest signal control method on the same condition.

Game Traffic Classification Using Statistical Characteristics at the Transport Layer

  • The pervasive game environments have activated explosive growth of the Internet over recent decades. Thus, understanding Internet traffic characteristics and precise classification have become important issues in network management, resource provisioning, and game application development. Naturally, much attention has been given to analyzing and modeling game traffic. Little research, however, has been undertaken on the classification of game traffic. In this paper, we perform an interpretive traffic analysis of popular game applications at the transport layer and propose a new classification method based on a simple decision tree, called an alternative decision tree (ADT), which utilizes the statistical traffic characteristics of game applications. Experimental results show that ADT precisely classifies game traffic from other application traffic types with limited traffic features and a small number of packets, while maintaining low complexity by utilizing a simple decision tree.

구조방정식을 활용한 회전교차로 통행 규칙 준수 여부 평가 (Assessment of Drivers' Compliance with Traffic Rules for Roundabouts Using a Structural Equation Modeling)

  • 국내 회전교차로의 역사가 짧기 때문에 회전교차로에 대한 운전자들의 인지도(통행 규칙, 정의, 위치 등)가 낮을 가능성이 존재하며, 이는 통행규칙 준수에 영향을 미칠 가능성이 있다. 이러한 가정을 기반으로 본 연구는 구조방정식모형을 적용하여 회전교차로에 대한 인지도와 회전교차로 통행 규칙 준수 간의 관계를 분석하고자 하였다. 연구를 위해 경기도 고양시에 거주하는 운전자 526명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 시행하였으며, 설문항목은 회전교차로 인지도, 운전 경력, 회전교차로 통행 규칙 준수 여부에 대한 내용이 포함되었다. 설문조사 내용은 구조방정식모형을 적용하여 분석하였으며, 분석 결과 회전교차로에 대한 인지도가 높을수록, 운전 경력이 높을수록 통행 규칙을 잘 준수하는 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 기반으로 회전교차로 도입으로 인해 발생할 수 있는 초기 부정적인 영향을 감소시키기 위한 이용자 교육 및 홍보방안을 제시하였다.
