정전기분광분석방법에 의한 알파입자비적밀도의 이론적 계산연구 (Theoretical Calculation on Alpha Track Density by Using an Electrostatic Ion Spectrometer)

  • 알파비적밀도의 이론계산방법을 개발하기 위하여 정전기방법을 이용한 분광계를 특별히 설계 제작하였다. 이 정전기분광계를 사용하여 라돈의 첫째딸핵종인 Po-218의 이온에 대해 $0.07{\sim}5.0cm^2/V\;sec$ 범위의 이동도스펙트럼을 측정하였다. 이 측정은 실리카겔, 활성탄, 분자구조의 시브필터를 통과한 탈입자가스를 사용하는 라돈쳄버내에서 수행되었다. 제작된 정전기분광계를 사용하여 쳄버내에서 새로 생성된 Po-218이온의 이동도는 $1.92cm^2/V\;s$인 것으로 측정되었다. 알파비적밀도의 이론적계산방법에 의해 얻어진 결과를 측정에 의해 얻어진 결과와 비교하였으며 측정된 스펙트럼에 관계된 불확실도를 분석하였다. 이론계산방법에 의해 얻어진 알파비적밀도와 측정된 값과의 차이에 대한 이유는 이론계산방법에서 이온의 라돈 쳄버에서의 벽제거효과를 고려하지 않았기 때문인 것으로 밝혀졌다.

AF궤도회로에서 에너지 밀도가 정보신호 검출시간에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Energy Density upon Detection Time of Information Signal in AF Track Circuit)

  • There are two methods for train control in information transmission by using track circuit system and installing wayside transmitter. Information signal is transmitted to the on-board antenna by using rails. Continuous information about train intervals, speed and route is received by on-board antenna in AF track circuit system. The information signal is included with carrier wave and received by magnetic coupling in the on-board antenna. Therefore, it is important to define standard current level in the AF track circuit system. When current flowed to rails is low, magnetic sensors are not operated by decreasing magnetic field intensity. Hence, SNR is decreased because electric field intensity is decreased. When the SNR is decreased, there is the serious influence of noise upon demodulation. So, the frequency of information signal is not extracted in frequency response. Thus, it is possible to happen to train accident and delay as the information signal is not analyzed in the on-board antenna. In this paper, standard energy density is calculated by using Parseval's theory in UM71c track circuit. Hence, detection time of information signal is presented.

클러터밀도 추정 방법 개선을 통한 LM-IPDAF의 표적 추적 성능 향상 연구 (Research on improvement of target tracking performance of LM-IPDAF through improvement of clutter density estimation method)

  • 레이다를 이용한 다수 표적의 상태 추정을 통해 추적 성능을 향상시키는 문제는 중요하다. 클러터 환경에서 추적 필터를 이용하여 다수 표적 추적 시 트랙과 측정치 간의 결합사건이 발생하며 개수가 증가함에 따라 결합사건은 기하급수적으로 증가한다. 이러한 환경에서 다수 표적 추적 필터 설계 시 고려해야할 문제는 첫째, 신속한 거짓트랙 제거 및 표적트랙 확정을 통하여 오경보율 최소화하고, 이를 통해 FTD(False Track Discrimination) 성능을 높인다. 둘째, 다수의 트랙이 측정치를 공유하는 결합사건 발생시 효율적으로 각각의 측정치를 트랙에 할당함으로써 트랙 유지성능을 향상시키는 것이다. 두 가지 고려사항을 통해 단일 표적 추적 자료결합 기법을 다수 표적 추적 필터로 확장하여 사용하며, 대표적인 알고리듬으로 JIPDAF(Joint Integrated Probabilistic Data Association Filter)와 LM-IPDAF(Linear Multi-target IPDAF)가 있다. 본 논문에서는 측정치 할당 시 생기는 수 많은 가설들에 대한 확률적 평가를 하지 않음으로써 측정치와 트랙의 개수에 따라 비선형으로 연산량이 증가하지 않으며, 클러터밀도 추정을 통해 트랙을 쇄신하는 트랙존재확률 기반의 LM-IPDAF 알고리듬을 소개한다. 그리고 LM-IPDAF의 트랙존재확률 산출 시 필요한 클러터밀도 추정 방법을 개선함으로써 연산량을 효과적으로 감소시킬 수 있는 방법을 제안하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 기존의 알고리듬과 비교, 분석하여 성능을 검증하였다. 그 결과, 위치 RMSE, Confirmed True Track 측면에서는 동일한 성능을 내면서 시뮬레이션 처리 시간을 약 20% 감소시킬 수 있었다.

  • Misalignment of recording head position results in inter-track interference (ITI), which is a primary factor limiting radial(track) density in current digital magnetic channels. This paper proposes a multi- channel adaptive PRML for digital high-density recording channels, and compares it with the conventional single-channel PRML in the presence of ITI for the per- formance evaluation. Simulation results show that the proposed method removes ITI effectively when heal-misalignment occurs, then improving its performance significantly as compared with the single- channel PRML. As a result, it is confirmed that multi-channel adaptive PRML is well suited for high-density recording in digital magnetic channels.

  • In high-capacity disk drives with ever-growing track density, the allowable level of position error signal (PES) is becoming smaller and smaller. In order to achieve the high TPI disk drive, it is necessary to improve the writing accuracy during the STW(servo track writing) process through the reduction of TMR sources. Among the main contributors of the NRRO(Non-Repeatable Run-out) PES, the disk vibration and the HSA(head-stack assembly) vibration is considered to be one of the most significant factors. Also the most contributors of RRO(Repeatable Run- out) come from the contributors of NRRO which is written-in at the time of STW(servo track writing) process. In this paper, the experimental test result shows that the effect of NRRO on servo written-in RRO effectively can be reduced through a STW process under low dense medium condition such as semi-vacuum.

  • Power spectral density (PSD) model of irregularities for the maglev test track is presented. Track irregularities (gauge, cant, twist and vertical) were calculated from the survey data of sleepers on the test track. PSD model was constructed from the estimated PSDs of each track irregularities. Versine (gauge, cant, twist, vertical and lateral) of the track is obtained and their PSDs were estimated, too. Presented PSD model can be used for the analysis of levitation stability and ride quality of the maglev system.

  • In this paper, a numerical method for vehicle-track interaction analysis is developed to evaluate vertical dynamic force subjected to rail surface. A vehicle is modelled by lumped masses system and track by multi layered continuous beam system. The equation of motion of vehicle and track interaction system is derived by considering compatibility condition at the contact points between wheel and rail. The input vibration source is given by the empirical formula of power spectral density of track irregularity, which is suggested by FRA. Using this method, dynamic impact factors with the train speed are evaluated.

  • The effects of track format on the inter-track crosstalk of holographic ROM system are investigated. To quantify the effect of inter-track crosstalk for various track width and pitch, we defined Signal to Crosstalk noise Ratio(SCR) as a criterion. A numerical simulation is used to obtain the SCR as a function of track widths and pitches. We compared different 4 track widths having 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, and 0.6 ${\mu}m$ considering resolving power of lens and recording density. The simulation results show that the SCRs for each track width are maximized at the track pitch which has the value of 0.72, 0.72, 0.74, and 0.5 ${\mu}m$ respectively. Next, for the three sets with track width-pitch(0.4-0.72, 0.5-0.74, 0.6-0.8 ${\mu}m$) which showed the maximum SCR, we set a minimum pit length so that all sets have a DVD equivalent data density and compared RF signals passed from the slit. The simulation results show that when the track width, pitch, and minimum pit length have 0.5, 0.74, and 0.4 ${\mu}m$ respectively, the difference between the maximum and minimum value of the RF signal showed the greatest value. Also, we investigated RF signal in case of using an amplitude inversion mask, which transmitted regions are inversed against the conventional mask. The simulation results show that the better RF signal may be obtained by using an amplitude inversion mask.

철도 운행선로 작업자와 열차 접촉사고 위험도 평가에 관한 연구 (Risk Estimation Study on Railway Track Worker Hit by Train)

  • The accident fatality rate has decreased by more than 90% compared to 2006, due to the safety management and safety investment based on the Rail Safety Act. Most railway safety indicators, including fatality rates, have improved significantly from 60% to 80%, reaching the level of developed countries in terms of most railway safety indicators. However, the only staff fatality rate at work is not improved, and it is 3 to 5 times higher than that of developed countries. Most of the fatality occurred during employee's work recently occurred due to accidents hit by train while track work. In principle, when operating track need to check or maintenance, the operation of the train should be stopped and the work carried out. However, in Korea, due to the highest passenger density and train operating density in the world, it is caused by a structural problem that requires workers to enter the track while the train is running and perform various tasks such as maintenance and inspection. In this study, we analyzed the risk of accidents caused by hit by trains on the track, which is the biggest cause of staff fatality, using the main statistics of the last 10 years. In detail, the scenarios of the main causes of hit by trains and workers were formed to suggest the effectiveness of the current preventive measures and supplementary.

고밀도 디스크 드라이브의 서보트랙 기록오차 보정 알고리즘 (A New Correction Algorithm of Servo Track Writing Error in High-Density Disk Drives)

  • The servo tracks of disk drives are constructed at the time of manufacture with the equipment of servo track writer. Because of the imperfection of servo track writer, disk vibrations and head fluctuations during servo track writing process, the constructed servo tracks might deviate from perfect circles and take eccentric shapes. The servo track writing error should be corrected because it might cause interference with adjacent tracks and irrecoverable operation error of disk drives. The servo track writing error is repeated every disk rotation and so is periodic time function. In this paper, we propose a new correction algorithm of servo track writing error based on iterative teaming approach. Our correction algorithm can learn iteratively the servo track writing error as accurately as is desired. Furthermore, our algorithm is robust to system model errors, is computationally simple, and has fast convergence rate. In order to demonstrate the generality and practical use of our work, we present the convergence analysis of our correction algorithm and some simulation results.
