패싱, 경계와 차이의 서사 -제임스 W. 존슨과 넬라 라선 (Boundaries and Differences in the Narrative of Passing: James W. Johnson and Nella Larsen)

  • When W. E. B. Du Bois says that "the problem of the twentieth century is the problem of the color line," such a statement clearly recognizes the significance of the issue of racial identity, a cultural phenomenon called 'passing.' Both Johnson in The Autobiography of an Ex-Colored Man and Larsen in Passing confront this issue. Both novels, using the metaphor of passing, not only trace the racial anxiety and race politics of the time but also expose the unstable landscape of the established social and cultural boundaries of racial identity. Mapping out multiple meanings and various dimensions of passing, this paper argues how Johnson's and Larsen's narratives display the ambivalence of color line while they at the same time complicate, problematize, and destabilize the mainstream racial boundaries and differences. It furthers to delineate how the two writers, with difference, deal with the problem of passing, the significance of racial identity, and black middle class values along with its intraracial differences. Rather than draw a clear definition of and a definitive closure on passing narrative, this paper focuses on its complexities and undecidability, challenging every dimension of its established significations. It also explores the complex dynamic between passing act and individual identity, for passing here is not just a racially signified term but extends its significance to the other factors of identity, such as class and even sexuality. Johnson and Larsen open up a site for a newly emergent, modern racial identity for black middle class in the twentieth century American urban spaces. Both writers, illuminating the subversive and slippery nature of language in their passing narrative, clearly herald new, different forms of Afro-American writings and themes for the different century they face.

복식에 나타난 해체주의 양식연구 -건축과 복식의 비교- (A Study of Deconstruction in Clothing -Comparison of Clothing with Architecture-)

  • Deconstructionism is a philosophical stream in the latter half of 20'th century which goes against western metaphysics and tries to deconstruct the dualism e.g. eastern/west-ern man/woman. Its main concepts are 'indi-vidual' 'other' 'difference' 'restoration of the repressed' 'decentralization' 'Today it shows strong influences in literature art, and other social fields. This study investigated inner meanings and exterior forms represented in clothing on the base of Jacques Derrida's theory in order to re-search modes of deconstruction in is. And it compared clothing with architecture among other genres of art in order to discover similarities between through and modes of art in a certain period. For illuminating concept of deconstruction I referred to the literatures of preceding studies and for deconstruction's characteristics in both clothing and architec-ture I referred work's collection book $\ulcorner$collec-tions$\lrcorner$ and other related books dealing from 1960's to this point. As a rsult there are four modes of decons-truction in both clothing and architecture as follows; 1) Differenance which is a concept of the dif-ference in time and space as being trace. 2) In termeaning of meanings which is not present in reality but re-interpreted a new in the future. 3) Interxtuality in which a texte is not alone but with others 4) Dis.De phenomenon in which distortion and fragmentation forms occur as the result of the denial of perfection and reson. There are characteristics of modes of de-construction in clothing as follows; 1) Differance; R.Gigli, P. Rabanne. G.Bersace, V.Westwood are representatives of the cloth-ing which is combined with the past the pres-ent and the future or is re-viewed as the clothing of the past in the present point of view. J. Watanabe R. Dawakubo I miyake are representatives of the clothing which is out-date but re-viewed in the sense of recollec-tion and re-usage. 2) Intermeaning of meanings: R. kawakubo I, Miyake Y,Yamamoto are representatives of the clothing which is incomplete but re-interpreted in the future and appears to be new-fashioned according to ways of bnding wearing throwing on and tying J.C. Castel-bajac K.Hamnett S.Sprouse are representa-tives of the clothing which is made up of ab -stract forms scribbling or symbolic letters which appears to be different according to view-point of observers. 3) Intertextuality ;J.P.Gaultier K.Hamnett, Comme des Gar ons are representatives of intertextuality of gender which avoids the 여-ality of man/woman J.P Gaultier G,Versace J. galliano are representatives of the intertex-tuality of time place and occasion which mixes temporality extensity and purposiveness. J.P Gaultier G,Versace are representatives of the intertextuality of coordination which combines items different in image purpose and use. P.Rabanne A,Courr ges R,Gernreic I,Miyake are representatives of the intertextuality of mat-ter which uses heterogeneous matter different from cloth. 4) Dis.De-phenomenon: R, Kawakubo I.Mi-yake J.P.Gaultier are representatives of the de-composition which discloses distortion and exag-geration of form through destructing the estab-lished way of construction J.Galliano R.Kawa-kubo Devota Y Lomba arte representatives of the decentring which restores the repressed and the alienated on the one hane and shows front-centrality on the other. Comme des Gar ones is representative of the discontinuity because of which right and left up and down are not in har-mony with one another. J,Galliano J.P,Gaultier T,Mugler are representatives of the disruption by way of which one makes one's body exposed through intentional slashes or holes. As a consequence deconstructionism enabled us to investigate similarities between through of deconstruction and modes of art interms of diffrance Intermeaning of meanings intertextuality and Dis De-phenomenon. And we found that deconstruction was a phase of development in that it as a all-comprising and multiple concept tries to pursue the new through deconstruction.

Krill solube의 가공 및 아미노산 조성 (PROCESSING OF DRILL SOLUBLE AND ITS AMINO ACID COMPOSITION)

  • krill을 식용화하기 위한 한 방법으로서 paste상 및 분말상의 krill soluble을 가공하고 제품의 구성아미노산 및 유리아미노 리의 조성을 검토하였다. 생동결 krill, 자가소화 및 $0.2\%$의 pronase-p의 첨가후의 가수분해에 의한 paste상과 분말상의 krill solube의 구성아미노산 중에는 glutamic acid, lysinge 및 aspartic acid가 가장 많았으며, cystine과 histidine이 가장 적었다. 생동결 krill의 유리아미노산중에는 lysine, arginine, proline, glycine, alanine 및 leucine이 가장 많았으며, cystine과 histidine 그리고 구성아미노산에서 그 함량이 많던 glutamic acid와 aspartic acid가 가장 적었다. 자가소화에 의한 paste상의 krill soluble의 유리아미노산에서는 생동결 krill에서 보다 glutamin acid, serine threonine, isoleucine, aspartic acid, valine 등의 량이 많아졌으며, 특히 glutamic acid는 거의 40배정도로 증가하였다. 전체적으로는 lysine, leucine, threonine 및 alanine 등이 많았으며 cystine, aspartic acid 및 histidine의 량이 적었다. $0.2\%$의 pronase-p를 첨가하여 가수분해한 paste상의 krill soluble 유리아미노산에는 aspartic acid와 glutamic acid이 량이 자가소화시보다 월등히 큰 증가폭을 보였으며 전체적으로는 lysine, leucine, arginine, alanine 및 proline이 많았으며 cystine, histidine, serine 등의 량이 적었다. 생동결 krill 및 drill soluble의 필수아미노산은 함량면에서 달걀과 비교하여 손색이 없었다.

휴대용 XRF와 단파장적외선 분광분석을 이용한 삼광 금광상의 원소분산 및 모암변질 분석 (Element Dispersion and Wallrock Alteration Analysis Using Portable XRF and SWIR in the Samgwang Au Deposit)

  • 휴대용 X선 형광분석기(XRF)와 단파장 적외선 분광분석기(SWIR)를 이용하여 조산형 금광상인 삼광광상의 열수유체와 모암의 반응에 의한 원소분산과 모암변질 양상을 파악하고 이를 통해 광상탐사인자를 추정하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 편암 및 편마암, 그리고 석영맥과의 접촉변질대 등으로 구성된 삼광광상 본항갱에서 일정간격으로 804개 지점에 대해 총 4,824회 측정하였고, 이 결과를 XRF 및 ICP 정량분석결과와 비교하였다. 회귀분석결과 현장측정 주원소 결정계수는 0.88, V을 제외한 미량원소는 0.56를 보인다. 일부 시료를 연마한 후 측정한 결과 주원소 결정계수는 0.97, 미량원소는 0.65로서 현장측정결과보다 높게 나타난다. 석영맥 변질대 분석결과 As는 Fe, Zn, Rb와 양의 상관관계를 보이며, V과는 음의 관계를 나타낸다. 컨투어맵 분석결과에서 As는 Zn, Rb, Fe, Ti, Cr, Ni 등과 함께 석영맥 부근에서 함량이 증가하는 것으로 나타나 상호 유사한 경향성을 보인다. 휴대용 SWIR을 이용한 현장측정결과 편암 및 편마암에는 운모, 일라이트, 녹니석, 견운모, 각섬석, 녹염석 등의 조합을 보이고, 석영맥과 접한 변질대에서는 일라이트, 견운모, 석고 및 운모 등이 검출된다. 컨투어맵 작성결과 녹니석은 대부분 모암에서 산출되는 반면, 견운모는 석영맥 부근에서 높게 나타난다. 휴대용 분석기기를 이용한 이러한 결과는 기존의 원소분산 및 열수변질 연구결과와 유사하며 조산형 금광상 탐사에 효과적으로 사용가능할 것으로 여겨진다.

Changes of Hepatic Cyclohexane Metabolizing Enzyme Activities and Its Metabolites in Serum and Urine after Cyclohexane Treatment

  • This study was conducted to determine the kinetics of cyclohexane metabolites (the biomarker on cyclohexane exposure), the changes of hepatic cyclohexane metabolizing enzyme activities and the metabolites of cyclohexane in urine or serum. The rats were sacrificed at 2, 4, 8, 12 and 24 hr after administration of one dose of cyclohexane (1.56 g/kg body weight, i.p.). The metabolites of cyclohexane in urine were identified as cyclohexanol, cyclohexanone, trans-l,2-cyclohexanediol and 1,4-cyclohexanediol with cyclohexane metabolite being 124.00, 0.78, 23.28 and 2.75 (g/g of creatinine, $1\times10^{-3}$). Most of the cyclohexanol and trans-l,2-cyclohexanediol were determined to be in the form of $\beta-glucuronide$ conjugates, whereas cyclohexanone and 1 ,4-cyclohexanediol were found as free forms. In toxicokinetics of serum cyclohexane metabolites, cyclohexanol showed a rapid increase, reaching the plateau at 4 hr, after this time rapidly decreased throughout 24 hr. Changes of cyclohexanone also showed the similar pattern with cyclohexanol except somewhat lower concentration. Trans-l,2-cyclohexanediol, however, showed a gradual increase until 12 hr with the continued same levels throughout 24 hr. On the other hand, 1,4-cyclohexanediol was detected as trace levels at 4 and 12 hr, respectively. The administration of cyclohexane led to a significant increase of hepatic aniline hydroxylase activity from 2 to 8 hr. The activity of hepatic alcohol dehydrogenase showed a significant increase at 4 hr and then were recovered to the level of the control at 24 hr. On the other hand, there were no differences in liver weightlbody weight between the control and cyclohexane-treated animals. However, there were the changes of aniline hydroxylase and alcohol dehydrogenase activities on time-dependent pattern after cyclohexane treatment, which influence on the degree of cyclohexane metabolites both in blood and urine. These results suggest that differential determination of cyclohexane metabolites in urine and serum may be able to be as a biomarker of cyclohexane-exposure in the body. But in this fields further study is needed.

플레이트 거더교 지점부의 좌굴발생 원인분석 및 보강방안 수립 (Analysis of Buckling Causes and Establishment of Reinforcement Method for Support of Plate Girder Bridge)

  • 플레이트 거더교에서 I형은 매우 경제적인 단면으로 넓게 적용되고 있으며 지금까지 복합적층의 패널, 폐단면 리브로 보강된 곡판, 새로운 형태의 리브, 새로운 형식의 강박스거더 압축플랜지 개발 등의 좌굴거동에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되었다. 하지만 이는 I형 거더의 복부판에서 발생한 국부좌굴의 원인을 정확하게 분석하는데 한계가 있었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 실제 적용된 I형 거더의 복부판이 도로교설계기준에서 제시하는 최소두께 기준의 만족여부와 보강전과 후에 대하여 유한요소해석 프로그램 LUSAS 17.0을 사용하여 모델링하고 고정하중과 활하중에 대한 선형탄성 좌굴 해석을 수행 후 좌굴발생의 원인을 분석하였다. 보강 전은 1mode의 고유치(λ1) 값이 0.7025로 임계좌굴하중이 작용하중보다 작아 좌굴이 발생하였지만 보강 후는 거더 지점부의 복부판에 수직 및 수평보강재를 추가함에 따라 여기에 Nodal line이 형성되고 좌굴에 대한 저항강도가 증가하여 1mode의 고유치(λ1) 값이 1.5272로 좌굴하중에 대한 안정성을 확보한 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 지점부의 좌굴 흔적을 개선하기 위해 복부판의 일부에 덧댐판을 추가한 보강방안에 대한 좌굴해석 결과 1mode의 좌굴이 복부판의 지점부가 아닌 중앙부에서 발생하였고 고유치(λ1)값이 3.5299로 보강 후보다 2배 이상 커서 향후 지점부의 복부판 보강방안으로는 효과적일 것으로 기대된다.

UV-excited chlorine radical을 이용한 실리콘 웨이퍼상의 금속 오염물의 건식세정에 관한 연구 (A study of dry cleaning for metallic contaminants on a silicon wafer using UV-excited chlorine radical)

  • 본 연구에서는 실리콘 웨이퍼 표면에 존재하는 미량의 Zn, Fe, Ti 금속 오염물들이 UV-excited chlorine radical을 이용한 건식세정 방법으로 제거되는 반응과정을 찾아내고자 하였다. 실리콘 웨이퍼 상에 진공증착법으로 원형패턴이 있는 Zn, Fe, Ti 박막을 증착시켜 상온 및 $200^{\circ}C$에서 UV/$Cl_2$세정하였을 때, 염소 래디컬($Cl^*$)이 Fe, Zn, Ti와 반응하여 제거되 는 것을 반응 전후 광학현미경과 SEM을 통해 표면 형상 변화를 관찰하였고, in-line으로 연결된 XPS를 통해서 반응 후 웨이퍼 표면에 남아있는 화합물의 화학적 결합상태를 관찰 하였으며, UV/$Cl_2$ 세정 후 실리콘 기판이 손상받는 정도를 알기 위해 AFM으로 표면 거칠 기를 측정하였다. 광학현미경과 SEM의 분석 결과에 의하면 Zn와 Fe는 쉽게 제거되는 반면 염화물을 형성하기 보다는 휘발성이 적은 산화물을 형성하는 경향이 강한 Ti은 약간만 제 거되는 것을 확인하였다. XPS분석을을 통해서 이들 금속 오염물들이 chlorine radical과 반 응하여 웨이퍼 표면에 금속 염화물을 형성하고 있는 것을 확인하였고, UV/$Cl_2$세정처리를 하였을 때 실리콘 웨이퍼의 표면 거칠기가 약간 증가하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 지금까지의 결 과를 볼 때, 습식세정과 UV/$Cl_2$건식세정을 병행하면 플라즈마 및 레이저를 사용하는 다른 건식세정 방법에 비하여 보다 저온에서 실리콘 기판의 큰 손상 없이 비교적 용이하게 금속 오염물을 제거할 수 있음을 제안 하였다.

마늘유(diallyl disulfide)와 비타민 A(retinol acetate)가 카드뮴 투여 랫드에 미치는영향 (Effect of Garlic Oil (diallyl disulfide)/ Vitamin A( retinol acetate on Heat Shock Protein Induction in Cadmium Treated Rats.)

  • Garlic occupies a special position among the many foods of vegetable origin because it is the sole food for Koreans during the their lives. And vitamin A has been ingested by forms of food or additives. Cadmium has been described as one of the most dangerous trace elements in the food and environment of man and livestocks. Since the de novo synthesis of stress proteins can be detected early after exposure to some agents, analysis of cadmium-induced changes in gene expression , ie. alterations in patterns of protein synthesis, may be useful to develop as biomarkers of exposure and damage for food hygiene. He acute and chronic combine effects of cadmium (Cd, CdCl2 20mg/kg), garlic oil(Dds: diallyl disulfide 50mg/kg, 3 times a week) and vitamin A(Ra: retinol acetate 50,000 IU/kg, 3 times a week) on Wistar male rats were evaluated concerning cadmium contents, tissues enzyme activity, HSP expression histopathological and electron microscopical examinations. The results of the study are as follows ; 1. Less cadmium was absorbed through the digestive tracts, but the ratio of contents in tissue were not changed by the simultaneous adminstration of diallyl disufide or retinol acetate. 2. ALT(alanine aminotransferase) , AST(aspartate aminotransferase), glucose, BUN (blood urea nitrogen), creatinine, the key indices of the clinical changes in hepatic and renal function were significantly hanged by the cadmium treatment after 1 week in liver, after 4 weeks in kidney. 3. Histopathological changes in cadmium treated rats were appeared at 8 weeks age treatment in kidneys. Homogenous eosinophilic material was accumulated in cortical and collecting tubular lumens at 16 weeks. Degenerated or necrotized tubular cells were observed in cortex and medulla. Degenerated seminiferous tubules and homogeneous eosinophilic material was seen in interstitial tissue of rat treated with cadmium for 16 weeks. Calcium deposits were seen in degenerated seminiferous tubules and the tubules showed severe calcification of rat treated with cadmium for 16 weeks. Electron microscope changes in kidney were observed in rats treated with CdCl2 20 mg/kg. Proximal convoluted tubule cells showed selling of cytoplasm and narrow lumen. Capillary endothelial cells showed cytoplasmic vacuoles and swelling. Degenerated epithelial cells were accumulated in tubular lumen of kidney. 4. Enhanced synthesis of 70 KDa relateve molecular mass proteins were detected in 2 hours after cadmium, exposure, with maximum activity occurring at 8~48 hours. Induction of HSP 70 was evident at proximal tubules and glomeruli in kidney. Testicular cells produced enough HSP to be detected normally. From the above results, it could be concluded that HSP70 induction by the cadmium treatment was a rapid reaction to indicated the exposure of xenobiotics, and retinol acetate reduced the cadmium induced nephrotoxicity.

GC-MS에 의한 소변 중 Ibuprofen의 대사체 규명 및 대사 연구 (Determination of ibuprofen and its metabolites in human urine by GC-MS)

  • 본 연구는 건강한 성인남자로부터 ibuprofen의 인체 내 대사물질의 규명 및 배설에 대한 연구를 gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS) 법으로 수행하였다. Ibuprofen 복용 후 3시간 단위로 15시간까지 소변을 채취하여 실험하였다. 이 중 glucuronide가 포합된 대사체로부터 포합체를 떼어내기 위해 6 M HCl을 통해 $100^{\circ}C$에서 30분 동안 가열하여 산 가수분해 시켰다. 가수분해 된 뇨 중 ibuprofen과 그 대사체를 추출하기 위하여 액체-액체 추출법을 적용하였다. 모약물과 대사체의 추출 최적조건을 찾기 위하여 pH 3, 5 및 8에서 수행하였으며 그 중 pH 3에서 가장 좋은 회수율을 보여 주었다. 또한 미량의 대사체 검출을 위하여 trimethylsilylation (TMS) 유도체 반응을 적용시킨 후 GC-MS를 이용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 모약물을 포함한 총 5개의 대사체를 검출하였으며, 이들 대사물질들은 주로 산화과정에 의해 약물 모핵에 hydroxylation 또는 carboxylation된 화합물이었다. 또한 시간대별로 채취한 시료에서 각각의 대사체의 배설율의 변화를 관찰함으로써 시간대별 배설율 및 축적률을 구할 수 있었다.

모악산도립공원의 산쓰레기 발생특성 (A Study on the Origination of Backcountry Litter in Moaksan Provincial Park)

  • This study investigated the types, forms, and origination of litter found along one hiking course in Moaksan Provincial Park, 'Jungin-ri Course'(entrance-ridge-valley-peak). In addition, a survey was conducted to understand hikers' litter control awareness in order to determine possible backcountry litter control measures. The following are the results of this study: 1. For the litter Sequency investigation, 199 recyclable pieces of litter were found on the mid-slope(61.6%), 89 by the entrance(27.6%), 19 in the valley(5.9%) and 16 on the peak(4.9%). A total of 323 pieces of litter were found. Paper materials were the most common, followed by plastic containers such as PET bottles and yogurt containers. Of particular interest, 288 papers and cans were found on the mid-slope(46.9%). By the entrance, more plastics and bottles were found. 2. There were 614 pieces of flammable litter collected and only 19 pieces of non-flammable. Most of the flammable litter, including snack pacts, plastic bags, processed lumber, cigarette butts, tissues, cigarette boxes, and fabric was found on the mid-slope. 3. Very little food waste was found throughout the whole site proving that the policy prohibiting hikers from cooking and eating at the designated sites has been effective. However, food waste is difficult to find because it naturally decays with time. 4. $X^2$-test was used to find different types of litter and their verified origination frequency. It was found that recyclable litter, and food waste took about 1%. In addition, recyclable litter, especially bottles, was found relatively frequently by the entrance. Flammable litter was found most often at the peak. 5. The questionnaire results showed that 48.2% of the respondents "shorten their hiking journey and purchase food outside the entrance" and 29.6% said that they "bring a packed meal from home". Only 8.2% said that they "cook something when an appropriate location is found". At the Jungin-ri course, a few hikers brought their own food to eat or cook, but most hikers purchased something to eat onsite. 6. The results of the question about having experience littering while hiking showed that 19.3% litter and 79.2% do not. Those that responded "yes" gave various reasons for littering. 63.6% claimed, "there are no designated trash containers". 15.9% said they litter subconsciously. Finally, 3.2% insist that they litter "because food naturally decomposes". 7. As a result of the overall satisfaction according to the Likert scale and the analysis with an average of 14 variables, it was found that the average "toxic litter control convenience" was 2.41 with very low satisfaction. Thus, the results indicate the importance of providing appropriate back country litter control facilities.
