이진탕가창출백출(二陳湯加蒼朮白朮)이 고지방 식이로 유발된 생쥐의 비만증에 미치는 영향 (Experimental Effects of Ijin-tang add Atractylodis Rhizoma and Atratcylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma Extract in Obese Mice Induced by High Fat Diet)

  • This experimental study was designed to investigate the effects of Ijin-tang add Atractylodis rhizoma and Atratcylodis macrocephalae rhizoma (IJTAA) on the change of weight and serum total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, triglyceride, free fatty acid, total lipid and phospholipid level in obese mice induced by high fat diet. Experimental groups were as follows ; Normal group was fed normal diet and administered distilled water during 7 weeks, Control group was fed high fat diet and administered distilled water during 7 weeks, Sample A group was fed high fat diet and administered IJTAA 500 ㎎/㎏/day/mouse during 7 weeks, Sample B group was fed high fat diet and administered IJTAA 700 ㎎/㎏/day/mouse during 7 weeks. The results were as follows ; 1. In Sample A group and Sample B group, There were significantly decreased in body weight, serum total cholesterol level, serum triglyceride level, serum free fatty acid level, serum total lipid level and serum phospholipid level in comparison with Control group. 2. In Sample A group and Sample B group, There were significantly increased in serum HDL-cholesterol level in comparison with Control group. 3. In Sample A group and Sample B group, There were decreased in serum LDL-cholesterol level in comparison with Control group. According to above results, I suggest IJTAA is able to be used for managing obesity by controllong body weight, serum total cholesterol level, serum triglyceride level, serum free fatty acid level, serum total lipid level and serum phospholipid level.

Effect of nutrition education and traditional game-based physical activity interventions, on lipid profile improvement in overweight and obese children in West Java Indonesia

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: One ongoing effort to curtail dyslipidemia in school children is through lifestyle intervention. This study analyzes outcomes of the intervention of nutrition education and Javanese traditional game-based physical activity, on lipid profiles of overweight and obese children. SUBJECTS/METHODS: The experimental study consisted of three steps: data collection (October to December 2016), intervention processes (January to March 2017), and final report preparation (April to May 2017). This was a split-plot block study, enrolling a total of 72 subjects. Traditional game intervention (12 meetings) and nutrition education (9 meetings) was carried out within 3 months with material related to obesity. RESULTS: Our results showed no decrease in the levels of total cholesterol in the group receiving nutrition education (rise by 1.56 mg/dL), but when compared to subjects without intervention, total cholesterol levels experienced was increased. The group which did not receive physical activity showed increase in the total cholesterol, whereas the traditional game intervention group showed a decrease of 0.05 mg/dL total cholesterol at the end of the intervention. Nutrition education and physical activity interventions did not influence any reduction in the low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels, but rather showed a tendency to increase at the end of the intervention. However, the increase in LDL-c levels in the traditional game group was lower than in other intervention groups. Duncan's test indicated that the effect of nutrition education and physical activity interventions did not differ from the cut-off values of LDL-C and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol. CONCLUSIONS: Total cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the traditional game group tended to decrease at the end of the intervention, but the results did not differ much from other intervention groups. We deduce that nutrition education and traditional game-based physical activity interventions are not capable of improving blood lipid profiles in overweight and obese children within 3 months. It is necessary to increase the time of physical activity intervention to maintain the lipid profile in another study.

천궁(川芎), 머위, 황연(黃連) 추출물 조성이 생쥐의 지질대사에 미치는 영향 (Anti-hyperlipidemic Effects of the Herbal Extract Mixture of Cnidium officinale, Petasites japonicus and Coptis chinensis on Mice with Tyloxapol)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the effect of the herbal extract mixture of Cnidium officinale, Petasites japonicus and Coptis chinensis (CPC) on the lipids metabolism in mice with tyloxapol. ICR mice weighing between 30-40 g were divided into four groups: normal group, 600mg/kg tyloxapol injected group, $50\;{\mu}g/g$ CPC treated group 6h after tyloxapol injection (SAM1), and tyloxapol and CPC treated group (SAM2), respectively. Tyloxapol or CPC was injected intraperitoneally. Tyloxapol caused an elevation of total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides(TG), and LDL-cholesterol and a decrease of HDL-cholesterol. In addition, tyloxapol induced accumulation of lipid including cholesterol in both the liver and kidney. Serum levels of TC, TG and LDL-cholesterol were decreased whereas HDL-cholesterol was increased by CPC. CPC increased in HDL-cholesterol /total cholesterol ratio and lowered atherogenic index. The levels of TC, TG and LDL-cholesterol by CPC were rather lower in SAM2 than SAM1. CPC also inhibited lowering HDL-cholesterol by tyloxapol. CPC reduced lipid blots and cholesterol particles in both the deposition and size in the liver and kidney with tyloxapol. These results suggest that CPC might be expected to be beneficial for protection and treatment of hyperlipidemia by the disturbance of lipid metabolism.

熱處理大豆가 흰쥐腦와 大動脈의 Cholesterol 含量에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Heated Soybean on the Cholesterol Contents in Brain and Aorta of the Albino Rat)

  • 成長期雄性흰쥐(Wister Institute, albino rat) 72마리를 對照群, 無處理大豆給食群 및 $100^{\circ}C$$120^{\circ}C$ 加熱處理大豆給食群으로 나누고 各 食餌는 蛋白質含量(14%)과 熱量400kcal/100g)을 一定하게 조절하였다. 該當食餌로 5日, 15日 및 30日 급식후 급식기간별로 腦와 大動脈의 cholesterol 含量을 관찰한 바 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 腦의 totaㅣ, free형 및 ester형 cholesterol은 각 급식기간별로 각 群은 對照群과 비슷한 함량을 보였다. 2. 大動脈의 total, free형 cholesterol은 5日 급식군에서 對照群보다 $100^{\circ}C$$120^{\circ}C$ 加熱處理給食群이 높은 含量을 보였으나 15日 급식군이나 30日 급식군은 모두 비슷한 함량을 보였다. 그러나 ester형 cholesterol은 각 급식기간 一定한 경향을 보이지 않았다. 이상의 결과로 보아 大豆를 無處理했을때나 $100^{\circ}C$$120^{\circ}C$ 加熱處理하여 給食시켰을 때 흰쥐의 腦와 大動脈 cholesterol 함량에 별차이가 없었음을 알수있었다.

작약의 메탄올 추출물로부터 항고지혈 활성성분의 분리 (Isolation of Hyperlipidemic Substances from Methanol Extract of Paeoniae Radix)

  • We previously showed that a methanol extract of Paeoniae radix decreased total cholesterol level in rats with hyperlipidemia. In order to isolate the active ingredient(s), the methanol extract of Paeoniae radix was fractionated with chloroform/methanol(4:1) solution and isolate into soluble part and insoluble part of the the methanol extract. Above two parts were tested on the experimentally induced hypercholesterolemia in rats for the lowering effect of serum lipoprotein contents. Hyperlipidemia was induced on male Wistar rats by feeding high choleserol diet for 7 days. After oral administration of above samples for 4 weeks, serum lipid profile was verified on these rats by measuring total cholesterol, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol. The chloroform/methanol(4:1) soluble part and insolule part showed lowering activity of total cholesterol level and triglyceride level at 4 week point significantly(p<0.01 and p<0.05) compare with the control group and the soluble part was more effective.

Dietary Soy Protein and Calcium Reduce Serum Lipid and Cholesterol in Rats Fed Eat-Enriched Diets

  • This study investigated the effects of dietary soy protein and Ca on the lipid profiles of rats fed fat-enriched diets. Rats were divided into two groups and fed either a casein-low Ca (Exp I) or ISP-high Ca diet (Exp II) for a control period of 4 weeks. The two groups of rats were again subdivided into 4 groups and fed one of 4 experimental diets for another 4 weeks. The experimental diets consisted of 18% beef tallow and 1 % cholesterol, in which either 20 % casein or ISP with one of two levels of Ca, high (1 %) or low (0.1 %). The concentrations of total lipid, cholesterol and triglyceride in serum, liver and feces were determined. At the end of the control period, the serum total lipid and cholesterol concentrations were low in the rats fed ISP-high Ca diet (67~76% and 83~86%). During the next 4 week period, these concentrations remained significantly lower in rats fed the diets containing ISP and high Ca compared with those on casein and low Ca diets (p < 0.05). Total lipid and cholesterol concentrations in feces were significantly higher in the ISP-high Ca dietary group at 4 weeks, and high in both high Ca groups at 8 weeks. This study demonstrates that both soy protein and Ca reduce serum and liver cholesterol, triglyceride, and total lipid in rats fed fat-enriched diet, and that they have an additive effect when combined.

녹차가 흰쥐의 혈청 및 간의 지질성분과 항산화계 효소 활성도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Green Tea on the Lipid Composition of Serum and Liver and the Activities of Antioxidative Enzymes in Rats)

  • This research was performed to Investigate the effects of green tea on the lipid composition of serum and liver and the specific activities of antioxidative enzymes. Male Sprague Dawley rats were fed 10% fat diet with lard and fish oil. Powdered green tea was added to the lard and fish oil diet at the level of 0.1% and 1%. After 6 weeks of feeding, serum and liver were obtained from experimental rats. Then we measured the concentration of total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol and triglyceride. From liver cytosolic fraction, we analized the specific activities of superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase and glutathione S-transferase. The level of total cholesterol and triglyceride were decreased and the ratio of HDL-cholesterol to total cholesterol was increased by the fish oil in the serum. But in the liver, the level of total cholesterol was increased by the fish oil and green tea than the lard. The specific activities of glutathione S-transferase were more increased in the fish oil than the lard. There was not effect of the green tea of daily dose on the lipid composition of serum and liver and the specific activities of antioxidative enzymes in rats.

건강 비임신 여성과 임신부들의 혈청 총코레스테롤 함량에 관한 조사 (A study on the Values of Total km Cholesterol in Healthy Non-Pregnant and Pregnant Women)

  • 모성보건관리대책수립을 위한 기초자료를 제공할 목적으로 부산지역에 거주하는 $20{\sim}30$세 사이의 건강한 비임신 여성 167명과 임신부 209명을 대상으로 혈청총코레스테롤 함량과 이에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 생리적 제 인자간의 관련성을 조사한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 건강여성군과 임신부간에 체중의 증가에 따른 Broca's index의 상승을 제외할 신장, 수축기 및 이완기혈압치에는 큰 차이가 없었다. 2. 건강여성군의 혈청총코레스테롤함량은 165.9 mg/dl, 임신부는 212.6 mg/dl로서 유의한 차이가 있었으나 연령에 따른 차이는 관찰할 수 없었으며 함량별 분포양상은 양자 모두 정규분포형을 나타내었다. 3. 건강여성군에서는 혈청총코레스테롤함량과 체중 및 Broca's index간에 임신부에서는 체중, Broca's index 및 임신기간간에 통계적으로 유의한 상관성이 있었다. 4. 체중별 혈청총코레스테롤함량은 건강여성군은 $162.9{\sim}189.4mg/dl$, 임신부는 $167.2{\sim}246.2mg/dl$로서 체중이 증가됨에 따라 그치도 증가되는 경향이 있었으며 특히 임신부의 경우에 더욱 현저하였다. 5. 임신기간별 혈청총코레스테롤함량은 12주이하군 168.1 mg/dl, $13{\sim}26$주군 209.6 mg/dl, 27주이상군 235.4 mg/dl로서 임신이 진행됨에 따라 그 치도 높아지는 경향이 있었으며 함량별분포양상은 모두 정규분포형을 나타내었다.

매생이 추출물이 고콜레스테롤 식이를 급여한 흰쥐의 지질대사에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Capsosiphon fulvescens Extract on Lipid Metabolism in Rats Fed High Cholesterol Diet)

  • 매생이의 체내 지질대사 개선 효능을 구명하기 위하여 in vivo에서 콜레스테롤 식이로 유발된 고콜레스테롤 혈증 억제효능 효과를 측정하여 검토한 결과, 고콜레스테롤 식이만을 급여한 HC군은 NC군에 비하여 높은 체중증가율을 나타내었다. 매생이 에탄올 추출물 투여군들은 HC군에 비하여 감소되는 경향을 나타냈으며, 특히 매생이 에탄올 추출물 고용량 병합 투여한 HC-CFH군의 체중증가율이 HC군에 비하여 유의하게 감소되었다. 정상식이에 매생이 에탄올 추출물을 투여한 NC-CFL군과 NC-CFH군은 NC군에 비해 체중증가율이 저하되 었으나 유의 차는 없었다. 식이 섭취량은 실험군들 간에 유의차가 없었다. 혈청 중 지질함량 변화는 고콜레스테롤 식이를 급여한 HC군은 NC군에 비하여 중성지방과 총콜레스테롤 함량이 증가되었으며, 고콜레스테롤 식이와 매생이 에탄올 추출물을 병합 투여한 HC-CFL군과 HC-CFH군의 경우 NC군에 가깝게 감소되었으나 유의차가 없었다. 혈청 인지질 함량은 NC군이 HC군에 비해 유의한 증가효과를 보였으며, 고콜레스테롤 식이와 매생이 에탄올 병합투여군들의 혈청 인지질 함량은 NC군 수준으로는 증가되지 않았지만 HC군에 비해서는 증가되었다. 정상식이와 매생이 에탄올 추출물을 투여한 NC-CFL군과 NC-CFH군은 혈청중성지방 및 인지질 함량이 NC군과 비슷한 수준이었으나 혈청 총콜레스테롤 함량은 유의하게 저하되었다. 혈청 LDL-콜레스테롤과 HDL-콜레스테롤 함량은 정상식이 혹은 고콜레스테롤 식이와 매생이 에탄올 추출물을 병합 투여한 군들은 HDL-콜레스테롤 함량이 HC군에 비하여 증가하는 경향이었으나, 유리콜레스테롤 함량은 유의하게 감소하는 효과를 보였다. 정상식이와 매생이 에탄올 추출물을 투여한 NC-CFL군과 NC-CFH군의 혈청 LDL-콜레스테롤, HDL-콜레스테롤 및 유리콜레스테롤 함량은 NC군과 비슷한 경향이었다. 혈청 LDL-콜레스테롤, HDL-콜레스테롤 함량 또한 임상진단에서 순환계와 관련한 진단지수인 동맥경화지수와 심혈관 위험지수는 정상식이 혹은 고콜레스테롤 식이와 매생이 에탄올 추출물을 병합 투여한 모든 군들이 고콜레스테롤 식이를 급여한 HC군과는 달리 유의적으로 낮은 수치를 나타내었으며 NC군과는 비슷한 수준이었다. 간 및 신장 중 중성지방 함량은 고콜레스테롤 식이 급여로 증가된 HC군에 비하여 매생이 고용량 병합 투여한 HC-CFH군에서 유의한 감소를 나타냈으며, 총콜레스테롤 함량도 매생이 에탄올 병합투여로 유의적으로 감소하는 경향이었다. 지방조직의 중성지방 함량은 정상식이 혹은 고콜레스테롤 식이와 매생이 에탄올 추출물을 병합 투여한 모든 군들이 HC군에 비해 유의하게 저하되었으며, NC군에 비해서도 유의 차는 없었으나 저하되었다. 간과 신장의 총콜레스테롤 함량도 매생이 추출물 공급으로 감소하였다. 지방조직의 HR-LPL과 TE-LPL 활성 모두 NC군에 비해 HC군이 증가하였고,매생이 에탄올 추출물을 경구 투여한 모든 군들은 HC군에 비해 유의하게 감소되었으나 NC군과는 비슷한 활성을 나타내었다. 이상의 실험결과 매생이 에탄올 추출물이 고콜레스테롤식이에 의한 체내 콜레스테롤과 중성지방의 상승을 억제시키는 효과와 LPL 활성 저하효과가 있다고 사료되나 어떠한 성분의 작용기전에 의한 것인지에 대한 더욱 체계적인 연구가 요구된다.

종류가 다른 식용유지에 첨가된 고DHA(Docosahexaenoic Acid) 어유가 흰쥐의 지질대사에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Docosahexanoic Acid-Rich Fish oil Added to Different Dietary Fats on Lipid Metabolism in Rat)

  • This study was undertaken to elucidate the effect of DHA-rich fish oil (DHA-rich oil) added to different dietary fats on lipid metabolism. Rats were fed perilla oil, sesame oil and beef tallow with or without DHA-rich oil for 12 weeks. The weight gain was higher in groups with DHA-rich oil than that of groups without DHA-rich oil, with DHA-rich oil, while weight of epididymal fat pad was lower in perilla oil and beef tallow groups with DHA-rich oil. The contents of total lipid and triglyceride in plasma were not affected by dietary fat types, but that of total and HDL cholesterol in plasma were higher in sesame oil group than perilla oil and beef tallow groups without DHA-rich oil. The contents of total lipid, triglyceride, total cholesterol, HDL cholestrol and LDL cholesterol in plasma were decreased by DHL-rich oil addition. The contents of total lipid, total cholesterol and triglyceride in the liver were not affected by dietary fat type. The contents of total cholesterol and triglyceride in the liver were not affected by dietary fat type. The contents of total lipid and TG in liver were not affected by DHA-rich oil addition while hepatic cholesterol increased by DHA-rich oil addition. The activities of glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase and malic enzyme were highest in beef tallow group without DHA-rich oil and decreased by DHA-rich oil addition. Peroxisomal ${\beta}$-oxidation had an inverse relationship against the activities of lipogenic enzymes. In conclusion, dietary DHA-rich oil decreased fat accumulation and had hypolipidemic effect, especially in beef tallow group. Also groups with DHA-rich oil showed more hypolipidemic effect than perilla oil group. And DHA-rich oil addition to diets resulted in increasing dietary n-3/n-6 ratio. Therefore increase in n-3/n-6 ratio as well as dietary DHA were considered to be responsible for the hypolipidemic effect resulted from DHA-rich oil addition.
