  • Risk is the probability of an adverse event given exposure to hazard. There are many reason for unsafety situation without safety operation. The reason is no safety evaluation system in small enterprise. And then this study purposes safety management activities that is evaluation system for total safety efficiency's maximization. Therefore, in this study, this model that can evaluate quantitative activities in small enterprise that maximize safety efficiency wishes to do design using balanced scorecard. In other words, this study aims to suggest a performance measurement model reflecting the characteristics of safety evaluation system, especially the model for return manufacturing related to safety, and to develop the S-BSC(Safety-Balanced ScoreCard) measurement model using a weight lifetime value to which a relative weight is applied by using AHP based on the BSC.

  • This problem in this paper concerns the determination of safety stock for multi-echelon invenetory system. In this model the criterion is to minimize system safety stock subject to a service level constraint and expected annual total cost. Then, safety stock is determined by minimizing expected annual total cost and satisfying given service level. This expected annual total cost is obtained by expected total inventory holding cost plus the expected total stockout cost. Numerical example is given in a three-echelon inventory system. The results obtained by the use of the Hill Algorithm.

  • TPM(Total Productive Management) that is enforcing introducing more than $80\%$ in domestic manufacturing industry is using total plant efficiency by the evaluation index, and as a result, can see a lot of examples that plant productivity is increased. This study's purpose centers total productive management activities that is management system for total plant efficiency's maximization, plant information system that total productive management activities factor that is enforcing in manufacturing industry can develop evaluation model that can evaluate qualitative activities by quantitative activities in process that maximize total plant efficiency wishes to do design.

  • IPQC system was introduced for the flight safety at the age of scientific safety management in the 1980s. In spite of performing this system, aircraft accidents caused by human factors, which were above 70% among all flight accident factors, have not been reduced. Accordingly, throughout this paper I analyzed the aircraft accident factors by means of a literature study and a pilot survey. Then, based on the notion of TQC(Total Quality Control), I hierarchically classified Individual Quality into Capacity Management, Safety Management, and General Management and did the low-ranked management factors as well. AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process), one of the scientific management methods, was used for estimating the relative importance of Individual Quality Control factors and the heavy aircraft accident causes over the last 20 years were analyzed according to the flight ranks. Based on the comparative analysis of results derived above, an IPQC model as flight ranks is established. In short, according to this newly suggested model we can obtain the maximum flight safety with the preventive actions against aircraft accidents caused by human factors and by improving the operation effect under the reasonable pilot management.

  • Due to the work characteristics of shipyard industry, subcontractors are essential and employees of them consist of 25% of the total employee. Problems of their safety management are as follows; - obscurity of safety management responsibility - flimsiness of subcontractor's safety awareness - absence of ability to develop safety techniques and to provide safety equipments - lack of opportunity of safety education The purpose of this study is modelling safety management system of shipyard industry subcontractors to reduce industrial accidents by employees of subcontractors. A phased model contained organization and work responsibility of related departments, safety management planning and evaluation system, safe work supporting system, safety education supporting system.

Remedy for ill-posedness and mass conservation error of 1D incompressible two-fluid model with artificial viscosities

  • The two-fluid model is widely used to describe two-phase flows in complex systems such as nuclear reactors. Although the two-phase flow was successfully simulated, the standard two-fluid model suffers from an ill-posed nature. There are several remedies for the ill-posedness of the one-dimensional (1D) two-fluid model; among those, artificial viscosity is the focus of this study. Some previous works added artificial diffusion terms to both mass and momentum equations to render the two-fluid model well-posed and demonstrated that this method provided a numerically converging model. However, they did not consider mass conservation, which is crucial for analyzing a closed reactor system. In fact, the total mass is not conserved in the previous models. This study improves the artificial viscosity model such that the 1D incompressible two-fluid model is well-posed, and the total mass is conserved. The water faucet and Kelvin-Helmholtz instability flows were simulated to test the effect of the proposed artificial viscosity model. The results indicate that the proposed artificial viscosity model effectively remedies the ill-posedness of the two-fluid model while maintaining a negligible total mass error.

  • Project implementation plan is a blueprint that confirms project performance activities and specifies required man-hour, period and resource imput ratio. Various figures, the results of implementation plan, are predicted through estimation, and because of superiority of objectivity and repeatability, numerical formula-based estimation model is often used overseas. COCOMO model is the representative estimation model whose theories and formulas are publicized and it predicts the total man-hour required for software system development. This model is publicized in "Software Engineering Economics" written by Professor Barry Boehm of the U.S., and is the most widely applied numerical formula-based estimation model. This study is conducted to provide a series of methods that are optimal for KTDS environment by choosing COCOMO II model among various types of COCOMO models. In establishing implementation plan, COCOMO II model alone is not sufficient, it is necessary to link with and apply standard WBS system and standard man-hour. In establishing specific implementation plan, phased standard WBS system in order of the first phase of all the activities implemented in the project, Activity, Task, and Role, and the man-hour put into this should be distributed according to standard ratio from COCOMO II model's total man-hour. This study provides explainations by establishing standard WBS system and linking with COCOMO II model.

지능형 영상분석 시스템이 작업자 안전의식 및 행동에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of the Safety Awareness & Performance by the Intelligent Image Analysis System)

  • The study examined the relationship between workers' safety awareness, safety performance and the components of the intelligent image analysis system in accordance with preventing the workers from safety hazard in dangerous working area. Based on the safety performance model, we include safety knowledge, safety motivation, safety compliance and safety participation, and we also define three additional factors of the intelligent image analysis system such as functional feature, penalty and incentive by using factor analysis. SEM(Structural Equation Modeling) analyses on the data from the total of 73 workers showed that functional feature of intelligent analysis system and incentive were positively related to safety knowledge and safety motivation. And mediation effects of the relationship were verified to safety compliance and safety participation through safety knowledge as well.

  • This research shows the method about the auto extinguishing system construction for the subway train's safety operation. The safety system is the total auto extinguishing system which it is able to overcome the emergency situation, to see fast using the sensing system, to interface using the communication system, finally to extinguish the large-scale fire happened. The system model is the total disaster mitigation system model preventing the arson or terror. and to apply a method of the fire extinguishing system using reinforced fire extinguishing agency in the world first. It is to use the subway train and the railroad train which is prevented and mitigated the large-scale demage the same as the arson and the terror.
