시강우 자료를 이용한 계절별 강수특성 변화분석 (Characterization of the temporal variability of seasonal precipitation using hourly precipitation data)

  • 최근 한반도와 세계 곳곳에서 기후변화로 야기되는 이상기후에 의한 피해가 늘고 있으며, 그 피해 규모와 빈도 또한 점점 증가하는 추세이다. 이러한 추세 속에서 인적, 물적 피해를 최소화하기 위해 세계 각국이 기후변화에 대한 정확한 예측을 위한 많은 노력과 연구가 진행되고 있다. 지금까지 수행된 연구들은 일반적으로 강수특성의 변화를 파악하기 위해서 연 및 월 최대 강우량, 지속시간별 최대 강우량 등 총량적 개념을 이용한 연구가 대부분이다. 그러나 이는 실제 강수사상의 구조적 변화를 파악하는 데 있어서 한계가 있다. 본 연구에서는 전국 기상관측소 59개의 지점에 대한 1961년-2009년까지의 시계열 강수자료를 이용하여 지점 및 유역별 강수사상의 number of rain even, duration, intensity, quantity 시간분포 구조의 변화를 파악하고자 하였다. 분석결과 number of rain event와 total quantity는 전국적으로 증가 하였으며 total rain hour는 남해안 지역을 제외한 전국에서 증가 하는 것으로 분석 되었다. 결과를 바탕으로 강수변화의 패턴과 추세를 보다 정확하게 파악하고 미래강수 예측에 유용한 자료로 활용될 것으로 사료된다.

  • preliminary study on the chemical compositions of forty seven precipitations from March 1994 to May 1995 In Yeoncheon-gun, which Is adjacent to the southern boundary of demilitarized zone (DMZ) in the northernmost tip of Kyunggi Province has been Performed. The metal cation and anion concentrations were measured by atomic absorption spectrometer and ion chromatography, respectively. pH/lon meter and direct nesslerization method were used for the concentration measurements of $H^+$ ion and $NH_46+$ ions, respectively Based on the data, the quantitative orders of the cation and anion average concentrations were $Ca^{2+}>NH_4^+>Na^+>K^+>Mg^{2+}>H^+ and SO_4^{2+}>Cl^-> NO_3^-$, respectively..The ratio of average total anion concentration to average total cation concentration was 0.97. The average pH value of the precipitations was 5.60. These results, correlation coefficients between the ion concentrations, and monthly variations of pH value and precipitation amount are used for chemical analysis on the environmental Pollution and Pollutant sources In Yeoncheon-gun of Kyunggi province near DMZ.

Comparative Analysis of the Correlation Between Local Meteorological Elements and the Concentration of Airborne Fungi in the Beopjusa and Seonamsa Temples

  • This study involved a comparative analysis of the correlation between meteorological elements and the concentration of airborne fungi(CFU) in relation to biological damage to two temples on piedmonts, which is a cultural heritage building. The work compared Beopjusa temple in Boeun(Chungcheongbuk-do Province) and Seonamsa temple in Suncheon(Jeollanam-do Province). Twelve meteorological elements and the CFU were measured and the Pearson correlation analysis was used to determine the degree of the relationship between them. The results showed that Beopjusa temple had high wind speed, high total horizontal radiation, high evaporation, and large number of days with precipitation. Seonamsa temple had high air temperature, high relative humidity, high dew point temperature, high sea level pressure, high precipitation, and high CFU. The CFU at Beopjusa temple did not have a linear correlation with meteorological elements, but at Seonamsa temple it was highly positive correlated with the number of days with precipitation, relative humidity, and precipitation, and was highly negative correlated with total horizontal radiation. In addition, Beopju and Seonamsa temple had a common linear relationship between factors not affected by the topographical conditions, and had a individual linear correlation between factors affected by the topographical conditions.

기상학적 가뭄지수와 수문학적 가뭄지수의 비교 (Comparison of Meteorological Drought and Hydrological Drought Index)

  • 본 연구는 기상학적 가뭄지수가 수문학적 가뭄에 대한 모사정도를 검토하였다. 기상학적 가뭄지수 중에서 강수량을 변수로 하는 SPI(Standardized Precipitation Index)와 강수량 및 증발산량을 변수로 하는 SPEI(Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index)를 이용하였고, 수문학적 가뭄 평가를 위하여 월 총 유입량과 하천수 가뭄지수인 SDI(Streamflow Drought Index)를 계산하여, 최종적으로 기상학적 가뭄지수와 수문학적 가뭄지수와의 상관정도를 분석하였다. 월별 상관계수 비교결과, 지속기간 270일에 기상학적 가뭄지수와 월 총 유입량과 상관정도가 가장 높아서 0.67로 나타났고 기상학적 가뭄지수로 SDI와의 상관정도는 0.72~0.87이었다. 연별 극한값을 비교한 결과, 월 총 유입량의 최저값과 기상학적 가뭄지수의 연관성은 거의 확인되지 않았다. 다만 SDI와 SPEI가 매우 높은 상관정도를 보였다. 기상학적 가뭄지수로 수문학적 극한가뭄에 해석하는 데에 한계가 있는 만큼 수문 가뭄해석이 목적이라면 유량자료가 직접 활용될 수 있는 가뭄지수가 필요하다.

GIS 기법을 이용한 광미댐 수문 분석 (Hydraulic Analysis of Tailing Dam using GIS)

  • 광미적치장 수문 분석은 강우에 의한 유출량 합과 배수처리량을 단순 비교하는 댐과 달리 지하 배수시설 뿐만 아니라 지상배수시설과 비상배수시설 등 여러 종류의 배수처리 시설이 복합적으로 운영되기 때문에 유출량과 배수량을 시공간적으로 비교하여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같이 다단계 배수시설로 구성된 구 상동광산의 신광미적치장의 배수처리 능력을 GIS 기법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 배수시설이 정상 작동할 경우 100년 빈도 시간 확률강우량인 80.31 mm/hr의 강우강도로 1시간 동안 비가 내리더라도 범람의 위험성은 없는 것으로 예측되었다. 그러나 모든 배수시설이 작동하지 않는다면 총 강우량이 251.1 mm에 도달할 때 광미댐은 범람의 위험성이 있는 것으로 예측되었다.

SCS방법 및 회귀분석에 의한 유출 강우량 결정 (Determination of Effective Rainfall by US SCS Method and Regression Analysis)

  • The analysis performed here is aimed to increase the familiarity of hydrologic process especially for the small basins which are densely gaged. Kyung An and Mu Shim river basins are selected as a represectative basin according to the criteria which UNESCO has establisheed back in 1964 and being operated under the auspice of Ministry of Construction. The data exerted from these basins is utilized for the determination of the characteristics of precipitation and runoff phenomena for the small basin, which is considerred as a typical Korean samll watershed. The methodology developed by Soil Conservation Service, USA for determination of runoff value from precipitation is applied to find the suitability of the method to Korean River Basin. The soil cover complex number or runoff curve number was determined by considering the type of soil, soil cover, land use and other factor such as antecent moisture content. The averag values of CN for Kyung An and Mushim river basins were found to be 63.9 and 63.1 under AMC II, however, the values obtained from soil cover complex was less than those from total precipitation and effective precicpitation by 10-30%. It may be worth to note that an attention has to be paid in the application of SCS method lo Korean river basin by adjusting 10-30% increase to the value obtained from soil cover complex. Finally, the design flood hydrograph was consturcted by employing unit hydrograph technique to the dimensionless mass curve. Also a stepwise multiple regression was performed to find the relationship between runoff and API, evapotranspiration rate, 5 days antecedent precipitation and daily temperature.

L-Moments법에 의한 낙동강유역 월강우량의 지역가뭄빈도해석 (Regional Drought Frequency Analysis of Monthly Precipitation with L-Moments Method in Nakdong River Basin)

  • In this study, the regional frequency analysis is used to determine each subbasin drought frequency with reliable monthly precipitation and the L-Moments method which is almost unbiased and has very nearly a normal distribution is used for the parameter estimation of monthly precipitation time series in Nakdong river basin. As the result of this study, the duration of '93-'94 is most severe drought year than any other water year and the drought frequency is established as compared the regional frequency analysis result of cumulative precipitation of 12th duration months in each subbasin with that of 12th duration months in the major drought duration. The Linear regression equation is induced according to linear regression analysis of drought frequency between Nakdong total basin and each subbasin of the same drought duration. Therefore, as the foundation of this study, it can be applied proposed method and procedure of this study to the water budget analysis considering safety standards for the design of impounding facilities large-scale river basin and for this purpose, above all, it is considered that expansion of reliable preciptation data is needed in watershed rainfall station.

1 묘포의 광도및 토양함수량이 인삼의 생육에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Light Intensity and Soil Water Regimes on the Growth of Ginseng (Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer) Seedling.)

  • This experiment was carried out to study the effects of light intensity and soil water regimes on the growth of ginseng seedling. The results were as follows: 1. The maximum light intensity and optimum temperature in 1,le photosynthesis of ginseng seedling were 10,000 lux and 23 $^{\circ}C$. Respiration rate was increased at high temperature. 2. Air and soil temperature under the shading were increased as the increase of light intensity but soil water contents were decreased as the increase of light intensity, whereas air and soil temperature were decreased as the increase of precipitation under the shade b5: soil water contents were increased as the increase of precipitation under the shade. 3. The higher the transmittance of the shade, the greater the specific leaf weight (S.L.W.) and stomatal density. In contrast, however, the contents of total chlorophyll, chlorophyll a and b, and stomatal length was decreased. There was no any significant difference light intensity of the a/b ratio of chlorophyll. 4. The highest photosynthesis was occurred in ginseng leaves grown under the shade 5% L.T.R. and net photosynthesis rates increased with increasing soil water contents. 5. Optimum condition for usable seedling yield were 5% L.T.R. and 3.3% precipitation under the shade. Useless seedling increased with increasing precipitation under the shade.

장마 강수를 위한 앙상블 통계 예측 모델 개발 (The Development of Ensemble Statistical Prediction Model for Changma Precipitation)

  • Statistical forecast models for the prediction of the summertime Changma precipitation have been developed in this study. As effective predictors for the Changma precipitation, the springtime sea surface temperature (SST) anomalies over the North Atlantic (NA1), the North Pacific (NPC) and the tropical Pacific Ocean (CNINO) has been suggested in Lee and Seo (2013). To further improve the performance of the statistical prediction scheme, we select other potential predictors and construct 2 additional statistical models. The selected predictors are the Northern Indian Ocean (NIO) and the Bering Sea (BS) SST anomalies, and the spring Eurasian snow cover anomaly (EUSC). Then, using the total three statistical prediction models, a simple ensemble-mean prediction is performed. The resulting correlation skill score reaches as high as ~0.90 for the last 21 years, which is ~16% increase in the skill compared to the prediction model by Lee and Seo (2013). The EUSC and BS predictors are related to a strengthening of the Okhotsk high, leading to an enhancement of the Changma front. The NIO predictor induces the cyclonic anomalies to the southwest of the Korean peninsula and southeasterly flows toward the peninsula, giving rise to an increase in the Changma precipitation.

Purification of Therapeutic Serums of Snake Anti-Venom with Caprylic Acid

  • Objectives: Antivenom serums have been used extensively for over a century and are the only effective treatment option for snake bites and other dangerous animal envenomations. In therapeutic serum centers, a wide range of antivenoms is made from animal serum, mainly equine and sheep, that are immunized with single or multiple venoms. This work aimed to use caprylic acid (CA) to purify therapeutic snake antivenom. Methods: Plasma was obtained from equine immunized with a mixture of venoms. Immunized plasma was obtained by precipitation of different concentrations (2-5%) of CA. This methodology was compared to that based on ammonium sulfate (AS) precipitation. Sediment plasma proteins were purified by ion-exchange chromatography. Protein assay, SDSPAGE, and agar gel diffusion were performed. Results: The total protein precipitation with AS was higher than precipitation with CA, but the best results were obtained when CA was added to the plasma until a final CA concentration of 5% was reached. Chromatography and electrophoresis indicated a stronger band for the 5% CA, and the gel diffusion assay showed antigen-antibody interaction in the purified serum. Conclusion: The use of CA compared to the routine method for purifying hyperimmune serums is a practical and cost-effective method for preparing and producing therapeutic serums. It constitutes a potentially valuable technology for alleviating the critical shortage of antivenom in Iran.
