  • In Korea, new total energy-saving solution has planned to build test-bed in underground subway station. Breaking energy is one of the most energy saving method in railway, but it has not be fully used up for economical purpose. This paper demonstrates on energy saving technology application including breaking energy and heating energy to underground subway station. It also offer solution of optimization of power energy flow. Moreover, economic feasibility analysis performed for undergound test bed constuction.

  • Commercial buildings account for a significant proportion of the total building energy use in Korea, and cooling energy, in turn, accounts for the largest proportion of total energy consumption in commercial buildings. Under this circumstance, chiller staging is considered to be a reasonable and practical solution for cooling energy saving. In this study, the part-load ratio and the operating characteristics of a vapor compression chiller were analysed within an office building. In addition, energy consumption among different chiller staging schemes was comparatively analysed. As a result, significant proportions of total operating hours, cooling load and energy consumption turned out to be in the part load ratio range from 0% through 50%, and thus energy consumption was significantly affected by the chiller COP at low part-load conditions, indicating that the chiller operation at the part-load is an important factor in commercial buildings. In addition, utilizing a sequential chiller staging scheme can reduce the annual cooling energy usage by more than 10.3% compared to operating a single chiller.

다중 안테나 이동 통신 시스템을 위한 전력 절감 기법 (Energy Saving MAC for MIMO Wireless Systems)

  • 본 논문은 다중안테나를 구비한 전송단과 수신단의 활성화된 안테나 개수를 조절하여 통신 시스템의 소비전력을 최소화함으로써 동작시간을 최대화하는 전력절감 MAC 기법에 관한 것이다. 제안기법은 전력절감을 목적으로 다중안테나 시스템의 전송 방식인 멀티플렉싱 기법과 다이버시티 기법을 채널 상황에 따라 선택한다. 이러한 다중안테나 전력절감을 위한 MAC 기법은 무선단말에서 소모하는 전력을 고려한다. 이때 전송전력 뿐 아니라 활성화된 안테나 개수와 비례하는 회로 소모 에너지를 고려하기 때문에 성능분석 결과, 기존의 용량증대 접근 방법과는 다른 다중안테나 방안을 선택한다. 따라서 제안하는 다중안테나 전력절감 방식은 무선단말의 소비에너지 면에서 성능 향상을 보인다.

  • Currently the country's foreign energy dependence reaches approximately 97% and the total energy consumption percentage of buildings(commercial and domestic parts) reaches approximately 24%. Building energy saving by enhanced insulation will be very important issue. Therefore, the solution is required to reduce energy loss and increasing displeasure caused by excessive influx of solar energy through windows, to solve the problems like decoloration on indoor furniture an clothes by harmful ultraviolet rays, air conditioning and increased cost. This research used for commercialization and ills semination by basic information through a evaluation on insulation performance of the window of high efficiency energy equipment which can improve the insulation performance.

전기응집을 이용한 2차 유출수의 질소.인 제거 공정 연구 (Removal of nitrogen and phosphorus of the secondary effluent by electro-coagulation)

  • To reduce extensive energy costs of the internal recycling for the purpose of denitrification in the advanced wastewater treatment, a post-treatment process using an electro-coagulation to treat nitrate in the secondary effluents is evaluated in this study. Removals of phosphorus and organics in the secondary effluents by the electro-coagulation were also evaluated to propose an alternative advanced wastewatert treatment process. A series of experiments of the electro-coagulation were carried out with the following 4 different samples: synthetic solution containing nitrate only, synthetic solution containing nitrate as well as phosphorus, secondary effluents from activated sludge cultivated in laboratory, and secondary effluents from real wastewater treatment plants. Removals of nitrate and phosphorus in the synthetic solution were 30 and 97 % respectively, which verified the feasibility of the process. Removals of nitrate, phosphorus and COD in the secondary effluents from the cultivated sludge in laboratory were 49, 90 and 19 % respectively. Removal efficiency of the total nitrogen, nitrrate, phosphorus and COD in the secondary effluent from real wastewater treatment plant were 50, 61, 98 and 80 % respectively. The removal of the total nitrogen was less than the nitrate as expected, which is due to the formation of ammonia nitrogen in the cathode. But the proposed scheme could be an energy saving and alternative process for the advanced wastewater treatment if further studies for the process optimization are carried out.

휜-튜브형 액체건조제 제습기의 높이에 따른 성능특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Performance Characteristics with Height of a Fin-Tube Liquid Desiccant Dehumidifier)

  • Several desiccant cooling systems have been developed in terms of cost and performance. In this study a fin-tube exchanger has been used for liquid desiccant dehumidification system. This dehumidifier has been designed to study the absorption characteristic of the aqueous triethylene glycol(TEG) solution which has the flow range from 20 to 50 LPM. The dehumidifier performance characteristics of working factor variables such as inlet solution flow rate, air flow rate, solution concentration and brine temperature have been analyzed. This dehumidifier has the ability to provide running while saving the latent heat load of total energy. The result of this experiment can provide useful data for hybrid air conditioning system.

  • Eco-driving technique for electric vehicles (EVs) is investigated in this paper. Many findings on EVs have been reported; however, they did not deal with eco-driving from the viewpoint of theoretical study. The authors have developed an energy-saving driving technique - the so-called "eco-driving" technique based on dynamic programming (DP). Optimal speed profile of an EV, which minimizes the amount of total energy consumption, was determined under fixed origin and destination, running time, and track conditions. DP algorithm can deal with such complicated conditions and can also derive the optimal solution. Using the proposed method, simulations were run for some cases. In particular, the author ran simulations for the case of a gradient road with a traffic signal. The optimization model was solved with MATLAB.

심층 신경망을 이용한 TBM 데이터 기반의 굴착 지반 예측 연구 (A TBM data-based ground prediction using deep neural network)

  • 암반 및 연약지반을 포함한 다양한 지반 조건에서 TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) 터널링이 활용되고 있다. 굴착 성능을 높이기 위해서 지반 조건에 따라 최적으로 장비를 운영해야 하며, 이를 통해 공기단축을 통한 비용 절감 효과를 기대할 수 있다. 하지만 시추 조사를 통해 획득한 지반 정보는 시추공 사이 불확실성이 존재하므로, 실시간 최적 운전에 부족함이 있다. 본 연구에서는 지반의 불확실성 문제를 해결하고자 5초마다 기록된 TBM 데이터를 활용하여 굴착 지반 예측시스템을 구축하고자 한다. 싱가포르 현장에서 획득한 화강암의 풍화도를 고려하여 암반, 토사, 복합지반 세 가지로 지질로 재분류하였고, 실시간으로 도출되는 기계 데이터로 이를 예측하고자 한다. 현장에서 획득한 TBM 데이터에 대해 이상치 제거, 정규화, 특성 추출 등의 전처리 방법을 적용하였고, 지질을 분류하기 위해 6개의 은닉층을 가진 심층 신경망(Deep Neural Network, DNN)을 활용하였다. 10겹 교차검증을 통해 분류 시스템을 평가한 결과, 평균 75.4%의 정확도를 확인하였다(총 데이터 388,639개). 본 연구를 통해 지질 불확실성을 감소시키고, 지반 조건에 따른 실시간 최적 운전에 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다.
