  • This paper is estimated to enhance yield improvement and device reliability using PDM(plasma damage monitoring) system capable of in-suit detection about plasma nonuniformity. PDM Tool is the non-contact method of wafer and surface potential electrode(kelvin probe). Its tool measures Vox(oxide barrier) with charge created by plasma. It's possible to inspect the wafer damage generated by plasma charge and analysis of in-situ monitoring data. we obtained the good data which is continuously prevented from plasma damage using its tool for 10weeks. This tool is contributed to preventive steps contemporaneously inspecting the difference of inter-chamber.

  • Recently, programming education is being actively performed in education field with development of educational programming language and teaching and learning methods for elementary students. However, programming education have limit to apply to the overall computer science curriculum, because it is performed by more than 5th grade and focused on the utilization of programming tools than problem-solving process. It is necessary to expand the range of students and educational content considered with problem-solving process for encouraging programming education in computer science. In this study, we suggest the easy-to-use programming tool for lower grade(1st grade) and robot programming task based on improvement of student's thinking ability. We use Tangible User Interface(TUI) for elementary student's(1st grade) convenience of programming and developed the robot programming task for improvement of logical thinking. As a result of this experiment, tangible programming tool can be used easily in elementary students(1st grade) and developed robot programming task is effective in improvement of logical thinking.

  • This paper study is for enhance the productivity. The purpose of this study is save the cost and contribute the enhancing company's competitiveness by analysis overall wastes in production line and improve the wastes in production line. Many company does not have clear process for analysis the wastes in production line. so they use classical IE tool and advanced IE tool by considering their current situation but the result was not so effective. The study to arrange the classic IE and advanced IE by each step to analysis the wastes by each production line include assembly line and processing line and automation line so that we can predict the mount of the overall wastes and easily select / focus on the tool for maximize the improvement result. It will contribute to establish the mid term and long term improvement activity plan.

  • 5-axis NC machining has a good advantage of the accessibility of tool motion by adding two rotary axes. It offers numerous advantages such as expanding machining fields in parts of turbo machineries like impeller, propeller, turbine blade and rotor, reasonable tool employment and great reduction of the set-up process. However, as adding two rotary axes, it is difficult to choose suitable machining conditions in terms of tool path, tool posture, feedrate control at a tool tip and post-processing. Therefore in this paper, it is proposed to decide suitable machining condition through an experimental method such as adopting various tool paths, tool postures, and feedrate types. Machining experiment on AL7075 for impeller is performed to define suitable machining condition, and measurement of surface roughness on machined surfaces depended on each machining condition is performed. By defining suitable machining condition, we should have conclusion as improving the surface quality in the aspect of surface roughness and machined shape of surface.

  • The various designs are preferred as well as IT appliances development of the internet based with consumer needs. It's real that the tool development technology of shortened lead time is also requested for production tool fabrication for the launch of new products. A process technology for shortening tool development period was one of the very important practical education from tooling suppliers related to mold development, and we are in competition with having the three elements of short due date, the quality and the production cost for new products. In this paper, the tooling development education and training program with current product development won't be systematic, and we hope to improve educational training process lacking in the reality and to advance the application model of practical centered education and training program of practical technology ability improvement and process technology improvement for shorting tool development period which can be performed at the workplace substantially.

Characteristics of Improved Village Image Desired by Local Residents (주거환경개선지구 지역주민의 마을정비 기대특성에 관한 연구)

  • In urban regeneration, resident participation and respect of residents' need have become a major important issue. The purpose of this study is to identify residential area improvement characteristics expected by local residents. Data used for this study were collected from survey which used questionnaire and village image map construction tool kit, developed for facilitating the residents' participation in an actual housing improvement area at Kwngjoo, Korea. The major contents surveyed through questionnaire were first, future images of the area second, directions of improvement third, preferred architectural types such as high or low rise buildings. and a total of 335 data was collected within 4 days during 12-14 December, 2008. The kit was used by parents of students at a local elementary school, and 205 image maps were collected. Content analysis was to analyse characteristics of villages shown in the constructed image maps. Lynch's five elements were utilized to select areas for analysis. As a result, types of buildings desired by residents at the selected four local areas were identified. In general, residents desired their village to be improved with low and mid rise buildings, respecting existing cultural assets. This study showed that there is certain characteristics in relation to the selected areas. Besides, the tool kit used this study showed the effectiveness in collecting opinions from young households in the improvement area within a short time. The tool is expected to be useful in attracting residents and in facilitating participation of wide range of local residents by improving the constraints stemming from time and space.

  • The use of error compensation techniques has been recognized as an effective way in the improvement of the accuracy of a machine tool. The laser measurement method for identifying position errors of machine tool has the disadvantages such as high cost, long calibration time and usage of volumetric error synthesis model. Accordingly, this paper deals with analysis of the position errors of a machine tool using ball bar test without using complicated error synthesis model. Statistical analysis method was adopted in this paper for deriving position errors using hemispherical helix ball bar test.

  • Tool condition monitoring (TCM) is crucial for improvement of productivity in manufacturing process. However, TCM techniques have not been applied to monitor tool failure in an industrial gear shaving application. Therefore, this work studied a statistical TCM method for monitoring gear shaving tool condition. The method modeled the shaving process using beta probability distribution in order to extract the effective features. Modeling includes rectifying for converting a bi-modal distribution into a unimodal distribution, estimating parameters of beta probability distribution based on method of moments. The usefulness of features obtained from the proposed method was evaluated and discussed.
