As fixing bugs is a large part of software development and maintenance, estimating the time to fix bugs -bug fixing time- is extremely useful when planning software projects. Therefore, in this study, we propose a way to estimate bug fixing time using bug reports. First, we classify previous bug reports with meta fields by applying a k-NN method. Next, we compute the similarity of the new bug and previous bugs by using data from bug reports. Finally, we estimate how long it will take to fix the new bug using the time it took to repair similar bugs. In this study, we perform experiments with open source software. The results of these experiments show that our approach effectively estimates the bug fixing time.
Satellite-based argumentation systems (SBAS) is a system that enhances the accuracy, integrity, availability and continuity of GNSS navigation users by using geostationary orbit (GEO) satellites to send correction information and the failures of global navigation satellite system (GNSS) satellites in the form of messages. The correction information provided by SBAS is pseudorange error, satellite orbit error, clock error, and ionospheric delay error at 250 bps. Therefore, A lot of message processing are required for the SBAS navigation. There is a need to reduce SBAS time to first fix (TTFF) for using SBAS navigation in systems with short operating time. In this paper, A-SGNSS operation method was proposed for reducing SBAS TTFF. Also, A-SGNSS TTFF and availability were analyzed.

Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) provides location information using signals from multiple satellites. However, a spoofing attack that forges signals or retransmits delayed signals may cause errors in the location information. To prevent such attacks, authentication protocols considering the navigation message structure of each GNSS can be used. In this paper, we analyze the authentication protocols of Global Positioning System (GPS), Galileo, and BeiDou, and compare the performance of Navigation Message Authentication (NMA) of the above systems, using several performance indicators. According to our analysis, authentication protocols are similar in terms of performing NMA and using Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA). On the other hand, they are different in several ways, for example, whether to perform Spreading Code Authentication (SCA), whether to use digital certificates and whether to use Timed Efficient Stream Loss-tolerant Authentication (TESLA). According to our quantitative analysis, the authentication protocol of Galileo has the shortest time between authentications and time to first authenticated fix. We also show that the larger the sum of the navigation message bits and authentication bits, the more severely affected are the time between authentications and the time to first authenticated fix.

In this paper, we propose a new assisted global positioning system (A-GPS) using terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (T-DMB) data services. Because of the weak signal strength from GPS satellite and the signal blockage, it is difficult for the telematics terminal to determine the position in urban area. Proposed A-GPS system calculates pseudo range (PR) from timing information of GPS satellites and obtains the satellite information such as ephemeris from T-DMB station to determine the current position. Compared to conventional GPS system, the proposed system has better performance in terms of the fast time to first fix (TTFF), low horizontal dilution of precision (HDOP). Experimental results show that the proposed system is a feasible and robust solution.

This paper describes an effective and fast algorithm for GPS carrier-phase ambiguity resolution (AR) which can apply for structure monitoring, and a series of simulation analyses have been carried out to demonstrate the performance of the algorithm. The results show that single-frequency AR performance is significantly improved In term of Time-To-Fix-First (TTFF) ambiguity.
This paper presents the implementation-tation of the real-time software GPS Receiver based on FFT and FLL assisted PLL tracking algorithm. The FFT(fast fourier transform) based GPS si-gnal acquisition scheme provides a fast TTFF(time to first fix) performance. The tracking based on FLL assisted PLL enables tracking of GPS signal in a high dynamic environment. The designed software GPS receiver uses the indexing method for generating replica carrier to reduce computation load. The performance of the implemented GPS receiver is evaluated using high-dynamic simulated data from a simulator and real static data.
Semi-supervised learning incorporates unlabeled examples, whose labels are unknown, as well as labeled examples into learning process. Although transductive support vector machine (TSVM), one of semi-supervised learning models, was proposed about a decade ago, its application to large-scaled data has still been limited due to its high computational complexity. Our previous research addressed this limitation by introducing a branch-and-bound algorithm for finding an optimal solution to TSVM. In this paper, we propose three new techniques to enhance the performance of the branch-and-bound algorithm. The first one tightens min-cut bound, one of two bounding strategies. Another technique exploits a graph-based approximation to a support vector machine problem to avoid the most time-consuming step. The last one tries to fix the labels of unlabeled examples whose labels can be obviously predicted based on labeled examples. Experimental results are presented which demonstrate that the proposed techniques can reduce drastically the number of subproblems and eventually computational time.

For a long time the GSM and GPS world has been living side by side. There have been some half hearted attempts to invoke the GPS unit into GSM units but performance and usability has suffered. The A-GPS approach is interesting and we wanted to verify general performance for fleet application and alarm/emergency situations. The result is now promising but still more to enhancements are anticipated. We achieved near acceptable availability (${\sim}70%$) under indoor conditions. Accuracy was as anticipated (50-100 meter) as we are using reflected signals. Time to first fix is in general good in outdoor conditions but too long for indoor conditions (45-60 seconds). We would like manufactures to put some more effort to get better performance in the future as test with Nordnav high sensitivity measurement system proves that conditions indoor are at a level where better performance should be possible.
Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) based precise positioning using Real Time Kinematic (RTK) technique has been proposed as an enabler of the formation operation of moving vehicles. In RTK methods, the integer ambiguity of GNSS carrier phase measurements must be resolved. Although there have been many proposed algorithms for the integer ambiguity resolution, the widelane combination of carrier phase measurements and LAMBDA methods have gained the most popularity in literatures when dual frequency GNSS measurements were used. In this paper, we evaluated five alternative methods to determine relative positions of moving base and rover receivers; the round-off scheme of widelane carrier phase, instant least-squares and Kalman filter-based LAMBDA with widelane carrier phase, instant least-squares and Kalman filter-based LAMBDA with dual frequency measurements. The paper presented the performance of each method using flight test data, which showed their strength and weakness in the aspects of time-to-first-fix, ambiguity resolution success ratio, and relative position errors. Based on that, we provided practical recommendations of RTK operations for moving vehicles.

In this paper, we propose an efficient methodology to fix timing violation in ECO step for ASIC process. Timing violation can occur from various reasons and the major cause is inconsistent correlation between EDA tools. The most frequent violation is setup time and hold time violation. First, we analyzed the reason of violation creation, and then proposed the adjusting method for overcome them. Each violation can be fixed by increasing data required time or decreasing data arrival time. We proposed the detailed technique on a case basis. It is difficult to execute these methods by routine of algorithm or principle. Therefore ASIC engineer needs to apply these technique to violation as conditions of the implemented design.
