An inspection task largely can be seen as a job divided up into a series of visual search and classification subtasks. In these subtasks, an Inspector must performs to compare the standard references proposed in visual environments and recalled in his memory with the visual stimuli to be inspected. It means that the judgement of similarity should be demanded on inspection tasks. Therefore, the inspector's ability for the judgement of similarity and the difference similarity between inspection materials are important factors to effect on performances in inspection tasks. In this paper, to analysis the effect of these factors on inspection time, an inspection task is designed and suggested by means of computer simulator. Especially, the skin conductance responses(SCR) of subjects are measured to evaluate the complexity of tasks due to the difference of similarity between materials. In the results of experiment, the more similar or different the difference of similarity between materials is, the shorter the inspection time is because of the reduction of task complexity. And, When the inspector's cognition for similarity between materials is consistanct, the inpsection time is improved. Concludingly, the consistency of reponses for similarity judgement becomes a measurement to present the performance levels. And the information of inspection time that due to the difference of similarity between materials must be considered in planning and scheduling inspection tasks.

The fault failure process with time difference affects the initial generation of waveforms of tsunamis, which consequently changes the runup height on the coast. To examine the effect of time difference in fault failure process on the runup height, a numerical simulation was conducted assuming a number of virtual subsea earthquakes in the west coast of Japan. Results revealed that maximum runup heights along the east coast of Korea were minimal when the subfaults were aligned parallel with the shoreline. Meanwhile, if they were located perpendicular to the shoreline, the superposition effect of the initial surface by each subfault was noticeable, resulting in an increase in maximum runup height on the coast.
Despite the low removal efficiencies reported by previous studies, electro-flotation still stands out among other microalgae removal methods for its economical and environmental benefits. To enhance removal efficiency, the important factors that limit the performance of this method must be investigated. In this study, the possible ways of increasing the removal efficiency of microalgae have been explored by investigating the effects of several important variables in electro-flotation. Eight parameters, namely flotation time, rising time, current density, pH, conductivity, electrode distance, temperature and initial concentration were evaluated using a one-parameter-at-a-time approach. Results revealed that the operational parameters that greatly affected the removal efficiency of microalgae were electro-flotation time, current density, pH, and initial concentration. The effect of conductivity, electrode distance, and temperature on removal efficiency were insignificant. However, they exhibited positive an indirect positive effect on power demand, which is nowadays considered an equally important aspect in the running of a feasible and economically efficient electro-flotation process.
Purpose: This study aimed to prove that the effect of waiting environment on perceived waiting time and service satisfaction of airline service and airport service procedure. Methods: Survey was conducted by questionnaires that were distributed to international airlines passengers. Survey data were collected 276 copies from 300 copies then analyzed using factor analysis and multi-regression analysis. The measurements of airline service procedure were divided by airlines service and airport service. Airline service segregated as before boarding and after boarding then airport service can be separated before boarding and after deplane by service procedure. Results: According to result, hypotheses were partially accepted. Human environment and Physical environment of airport service before boarding and after deplane were accepted. However perceived waiting time had effect on service satisfaction both airline and airport services. Thus some of variables are correlated among waiting environment. Acceptability as moderating variable has differences on high acceptable group and low acceptable group. Though waiting and delay were caused by controllable or uncontrollable reasons, there are certain negative feeling on waiting and delay on physical environment of airline service. Especially controllable delay and waiting are more negative than uncontrollable reasons. Conclusion: Some suggestions that given from researcher should be implemented to the airline industry to reduce perceived waiting time specially airport service procedure academically and practically.

This study investigated the luring effect of the sardine bait, which is used to catch octopus with pot, as the preliminary study for the development of alternative bait for octopus pot. The soaking time for bait was divided into "5 days or less" and "11 days or longer" The number of times octopus entered the pot with bait and the empty pot was investigated under dark adaptation and light adaptation processes and the distribution of tank section was investigated under light adaptation process. The case of "11 days or longer" sardine soaking time showed higher rate of distribution in the section of pot with bait compared to the case of "5 days or less" In the case of "5 days or less" soaking time, the number of times the octopus entered the pot with bait was similar to that it entered the pot without it even during dark adaptation and light adaptation. However, in the case of "11 days or longer", the octopus entered the pot with bait more quickly than the pot without bait and more frequently during dark adaptation hours. There were cases where the octopus did not enter any pot. In the case of "5 days or less", with less decomposition of baits, the octopus entered the empty pot more during light adaptation process, and it appeared that the pot was used as a hideout.
Tenebrio molitor, rich in protein, is used as an alternative protein source. Many studies have evaluated Tenebrio molitor larvae (TML) for anti-obesity effects, fatty liver relief, antithrombosis, and antioxidant effects. In this study, we prepared an experimental diet by adding Tenebrio molitor larvae oil (TMLO) to feed and administered it to adult male ICR mice for six weeks. The study assessed the weight gain of mice, prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT), blood coagulation time, and the activities of coagulation factor VII and coagulation factor XII. The weight gain of mice was suppressed in the groups fed with TMLO, indicating a potential anti-obesity effect. The blood coagulation time was delayed in the TMLO-fed groups, as evidenced by amplified PT and aPTT values. Furthermore, the activities of coagulation factor VII and coagulation factor XII were diminished in the TMLO-treated groups, indicating a potential thrombosis relieving effect. The concentrations of thromboxane B2 and serotonin declined in the TMLO-fed groups, signifying potential blood circulation effects. Finally, blood triglyceride and LDL-cholesterol concentrations were reduced in the TMLO-fed groups. In summary, TMLO supplementation may have an inhibitory effect on liver damage and blood clot formation caused by obesity.
The present study was undertaken to determine the effect of xylazine-pentobarbital anesthesia on the gastroduodenal transit time of barium sulfate and whether this condition can be antagonized by yohimbine, 4-aminopyridine and yohimbine+4-aminopyridine in dogs. Xylazine-pentobarbital anesthesia prolonged the gastroduodenal transit time to $121.50{\pm}21.25$ minutes compared with $5.25{\pm}0.90$ minutes of control. Yohimbine and yohimbine+4-aminopyridine reversed $121.50{\pm}21.25$ minutes of transit time of anesthetized dog to $25.25{\pm}6.83$ and $63.25{\pm}15.69$ minutes, respectively. 4-aminopyridine alone, $115.75{\pm}$18.35 minutes, was not effective in reversing the xylazine-pentobarbital-induced prolongation of gastroduodenal transit time. Yohimbine was the most effective for reversal of xylazine-pentobarbital-induced prolongation of gastroduodenal transit time in dogs.
In this study, the following conclusions were obtained from an investigation of the effect of the simulation time step on the simulation results of the two-dimensional, vertically averaged sediment transport model SED2D and an analysis of the deposited sediment distribution in suspended sediments of reservoirs according to grain size. The simulation time step has a significant effect on the deposited sediment distribution in a reservoir. In particular, if the simulation time step is set to be excessively large, physically invalid results are obtained. Additionally, in order to determine an appropriate simulation time step for SED2D, the selection of a simulation time step that will allow the analysis of the suspended sediment concentration profile at the main points of the simulation domain is necessary. The deposited sediment distribution in a reservoir according to grain size, including suspended sediments of clay, silt, and sand, was successfully simulated. Such information will prove valuable in application to the establishment of efficient management and reduction measures of reservoir sediment deposits.
This paper deals with the variability of short term creep rupture time based on previous creep rupture tests and the statistical methodology of the creep life prediction. The results of creep tests performed using constant uniaxial stresses at 600, 650, and $700^{\circ}C$ elevated temperatures were used for a statistical analysis of the inter-specimen variability of the short term creep rupture time. Even under carefully controlled identical testing conditions, the observed short-term creep rupture time showed obvious inter-specimen variability. The statistical aspect of the short term creep rupture time was analyzed using a Weibull statistical analysis. The effect of creep stress on the variability of the creep rupture time was decreased with an increase in the stress level. The effect of the temperature on the variability also decreased with increasing temperature. A long term creep life prediction method that considers this statistical variability is presented. The presented method is in good agreement with the Lason-Miller Parameter (LMP) life prediction method.
Reductions in strength and range of motion in older persons have been associated with decreased functional mobility and risk of falls. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of intensive dynamic balance exercise (DBE) during 8 weeks on onset time of medial gastrocnemius and tibialis anterior muscle contraction after perturbation in older women. Thirty subjects were randomly assigned into DBE group or control group. The DBE group participated in 50 minutes 3 days a week for 8 weeks. Surface electromyography (EMG) activity was recorded from the medial gastrocnemius and tibialis anterior muscles of left side. Outcome data were collected both groups at the pre-exercise and post-exercise. Independent t-test and paired t-test were used to determine the statistical difference. Results showed that the passive range of motion and functional reach test were significantly increased in the DBE group than the control group at the post-exercise (p<.05). The onset time of both muscles and discrepancy of onset time significantly reduced in the DBE group than the control group at the post-exercise (p<.05). The onset time of both muscles were significantly reduced in the post-exercise than the pre-exercise in the DBE group (p<.05). The discrepancy of onset time in the DBE group was significantly reduced in the post-exercise than the pre-exercise (p<.05). These findings suggest that intensive dynamic balance exercise for the eight weeks was effective in improving the postural control with older persons.
