In large-scale computing, cloud computing plays an important role by sharing globally-distributed resources. The evolution of cloud has taken place in the development of data centers and numerous servers across the globe. But the cloud information centers incur huge operational costs, consume high electricity and emit tons of dioxides. It is possible for the cloud suppliers to leverage their resources and decrease the consumption of energy through various methods such as dynamic consolidation of Virtual Machines (VMs), by keeping idle nodes in sleep mode and mistreatment of live migration. But the performance may get affected in case of harsh consolidation of VMs. So, it is a desired trait to have associate degree energy-performance exchange without compromising the quality of service while at the same time reducing the power consumption. This research article details a number of novel algorithms that dynamically consolidate the VMs in cloud information centers. The primary objective of the study is to leverage the computing resources to its best and reduce the energy consumption way behind the Service Level Agreement (SLA)drawbacks relevant to CPU load, RAM capacity and information measure. The proposed VM consolidation Algorithm (PVMCA) is contained of four algorithms: over loaded host detection algorithm, VM selection algorithm, VM placement algorithm, and under loading host detection algorithm. PVMCA is dynamic because it uses dynamic thresholds instead of static thresholds values, which makes it suggestion for real, unpredictable workloads common in cloud data centers. Also, the Algorithms are adaptive because it inevitably adjusts its behavior based on the studies of historical data of host resource utilization for any application with diverse workload patterns. Finally, the proposed algorithm is online because the algorithms are achieved run time and make an action in response to each request. The proposed algorithms' efficiency was validated through different simulations of extensive nature. The output analysis depicts the projected algorithms scaled back the energy consumption up to some considerable level besides ensuring proper SLA. On the basis of the project algorithms, the energy consumption got reduced by 22% while there was an improvement observed in SLA up to 80% compared to other benchmark algorithms.
This paper discusses stationkeeping of COMS which accommodates two optical payloads. In order to provide good quality images to the users, the east/west stationkeeping which is strong perturbing sources shall be performed outside of mandatory observation time slots asked by users. If the east/west stationkeeping time is resulted inside of the mandatory time slots, it shall be shifted in order to be performed outside of mandatory time slot, or a new stationkeeping shall be planned. This constraint is expected to ask additional fuel consumption in comparison with tradition stationkeeping. This paper analyzes the impact of mandatory time slots to the stationkeeping fuel consumption. Orbit simulations have been conducted to determine validity of given constraints in the light of fuel requirement and stationkeeping accuracy.

Energy balanced consumption routing is based on assumption that the nodes consume energy both in transmitting and receiving. Lopsided energy consumption is an intrinsic problem in low-cost sensor networks characterized by multihop routing and in many traffic overhead pattern networks, and this irregular energy dissipation can significantly reduce network lifetime. In this paper, we study the problem of maximizing network lifetime through balancing energy consumption for uniformly deployed low-cost sensor networks. We formulate the energy consumption balancing problem as an optimal balancing data transmitting problem by combining the ideas of corona cluster based network division and optimized transmitting state routing strategy together with data transmission. We propose a localized cluster based routing scheme that guarantees balanced energy consumption among clusters within each corona. We develop a new energy cluster based routing protocol called "OECR". We design an offline centralized algorithm with time complexity O (log n) (n is the number of clusters) to solve the transmitting data distribution problem aimed at energy balancing consumption among nodes in different cluster. An approach for computing the optimal number of clusters to maximize the network lifetime is also presented. Based on the mathematical model, an optimized energy cluster routing (OECR) is designed and the solution for extending OEDR to low-cost sensor networks is also presented. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed routing scheme significantly outperforms conventional energy routing schemes in terms of network lifetime.
This study investigates to investigate the ageing effect on household demand for clothing, food, housing and medical care commodities in Korea using a demand system model. The cross-sectional and time-series data from Statistics Korea on urban household expenditures and age projection analyzed household demands of consumption commodities. The household head age and elderly population ratio were employed for proxy variables of ageing. Ageing variable elasticities of commodity demands were estimated. Study results show that ageing variables significantly influenced on a household demand for commodities; clothing and food consumption decreases; however, housing and medical care consumption increases with ageing. The elasticities of total consumption expenditures and price variables were estimated in the demand analysis; these two variables significantly impacted almost all of the household consumption for the studied commodities. This study provides an opportunity to examine how ageing influences household consumption for clothing, food, housing and medical care commodities as Korean society experiences a rapid ageing. It is also meaningful that this study conducted a quantitative measuring of the household demands for commodities that was different from past research on the household consumption expenditures for commodities.

In this study, By the time that TTX technology is adopted as railway rolling stock, we analyzed quantitatively energy saving by reducing the power consumption with the reduction of the operation time through the speed improvement and suggested the necessity to introduce TTX technology in the domestic rail vehicles. The effect of energy saving by comparing and analyzing the power consumption during the operation by TTX Hanvit 200 and 8200 electric locomotives to pull trains on the same line was suggested and the efficiency of the main devices(i.e C/I) of Hanvit 200 was compared and analyzed by measuring the power consumption by a single unit. For improving KORAIL management environment, reducing energy usage is an urgent challenge, its measures for solving them are constantly considered in many areas. In addition, at the time of improving the conventional track to speed up and changing the signals, Tilting technology will be contributed to the management environment by enlarging the passengers' demand through the reduction of the operation time and saving energy using the existing infrastructure.

These days, although thermal energy is decreasing, electric energy is increasing in building. Also, it is very important to research and distribute BIPV(Building Integrated photovoltaic) because our society consider electricity more significant than other energy in building. Therefore, in this paper, our research team analyzed difference between BIPV yield and building energy consumption through experimental research. As a result, yearly building energy consumption was 104,602.4kWh and BIPV yield was 105,267kWh. And then, totally counterbalanced time took up 26%, reduced electric load time took up 16%. In other words, peak load could be reduced up to 42% by BIPV. As a result, yearly building energy consumption was 104,602.4kWh and BIPV yield was 105,267kWh. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between alcohol consumption and nutritional status of university male freshman in Chungnam area. The total of 111 subjects took part in the study and, they were observed general characteristics, alcohol consumption status, and nutrient intake using questionnaires. The mean age, height, weight, and BMI of the subjects were 19.3 years, 174.3㎝, 65.2㎏, and 21.5㎏/$m^2$ respectively. The mean alcohol consumption, and energy intake from alcohol were 7.8g/day, 55.3kcal/day. A significant number of subjects(48.2%) answered their frequency of alcohol consumption was once 2 weeks. Only 4.6% of subjects answered never drink. In almost subjects, alcohol consumption have been stared since they were adolescents, and major type of alcoholic beverage was 'soju'. The mean energy intake was 1985.6kcal and, energy ratio from carbohydrate, protein, fat was 58 : 15 : 27. There were significantly positive correlation among alcohol consumption and, body weight(p<0.05), intake of food, (p<0.05), energy(p<0.001), animal fat(p<0.05), fiber(p<0.05), vitamin $B_2$(p<0.05) and niacin(p<0.05). The alcohol consumption period showed a significantly positive correlation with alcohol consumption per one time(p<0.05). In summary, high consumption of alcohol in subjects was observed. Also, increase of alcohol consumption was related to weight gain and nutritional imbalance. Therefore, it is need that nutrition education for prevention of high alcohol consumption in university freshman and adolescents.
Purpose - Food consumption in Korea has changed in paradigm as it has grown qualitatively in the past in quantitative shortages. Consumer food consumption patterns are rapidly changing due to changes in economic, social and population conditions, scientific and technological development, climate change, and market opening. At the same time, there is a need to actively respond to these changes in terms of the food industry, market, and government policy. The purpose of this study is to examine the changes and characteristics of food consumption expenditure of Korean consumers in-depth and depth in order to provide implications for agriculture, food market and policymakers. Research design, data, and methodology - We analyzed various food consumption changes from the 1980s to 2015 through Household Income and Expenditure Survey raw data from MDIS(Microdata Integrated Service) of Statistics Korea. and conducted the age effect, generation effect, and year effect by cohort analysis. We also conducted comparisons with OECD countries on several indicators. Results - Food consumption spending was slow, and there was no significant change in home consumption, while eating out consumption increased about 20 times in 2015 compared to 1980. Income, age, residential area, number of household members showed significant changes in food consumption. According to the cohort analysis, the changes in the food consumption structure are largely due to age effect, and the year, age, and generation effects are different for each food item. Conclusions - Food consumption has a significant impact on not only the nutritional status of consumers but ultimately the public health. Therefore, they should be regarded as a strategic policy area of central government rather than a matter of size and change of food consumption expenditure.
We have introduced fourth generation PDPs last year. The performance of these PDPs is the highest level among TV displays. At the same time the power consumption of them has reached to the lowest level among FPDs (Flat Panel Displays). High panel luminous efficacy and low address power are necessary for the reduction of total power consumption. Following technologies have been developed and applied to the fourth generation PDPs. High panel luminous efficacy: T-shape electrode, waffle rib structure, high Xe content gas Low address power; CLEAR driving method, etc.
