The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of core strengthening training on baseball throwing. A total of 14 subjects were recruited from among middle school baseball players. The main outcome measures were as follows: speed guns were used to measure the velocity of baseballs thrown; scored targets were used to measure throwing accuracy; and 50m measuring tapes were used to measure throwing distances. It was found that core strengthening training improved the velocity of baseballs thrown and throwing accuracy and distance. Thus, core strengthening training is effective for improving the throwing ability of baseball players.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of medicine ball throwing for weight shift training, that make improvements on golf physical fitness and performance. This training was related to physical fitness and golf performance in beginner golfer, undergraduates 20 males(10 exercise groups, 10 control groups) during 10 weeks. Variables were strength, flexibility, headspeed and distance. Training course were devided 2 sessions. In 1 to 5 weeks, using 3kg medicine ball, in 5 to 10 weeks, using 5kg medicine ball. Throwing method imitated golf swing, address, backswing, follow-through by throwing medicine ball. The Results were as follows; Medicine ball throwing for weight shift training showed significant difference in strength, flexibility, headspeed and distance in Exercise Group statistically. In conclusion, Medicine ball throwing for weight shift training improved strength, flexibility, headspeed and distance. So, it could be considered very effective training method as warming-up and main exercise.
The present study used a video analysis system to quantify the kinematical data of step shoot motion by male university handball players. From the results of analyzing dynamic variables of step shoot motion according to shooting direction were drawn conclusions as follows. 1. The height of release was proportional to the height of players, and the height of release appeared low in left-side attacks. This is probably because the left-right-throwing angle is larger in left-side attacks than that in center attacks and right-side attacks and, as a result, the throwing arm is lowered down in throwing. 2. The leftward inclination angle of the body was larger in order of right-side attacks > center attacks > left side attacks. 3. Players' throwing form was close to three quarter style in left-side attacks. In center and right-side attacks, the arm was somewhat more upright but still it was more three quarter style than overhand style. 4. The front-rear throwing angle at the moment of release was much higher in right-side attacks than in left-side ones. This is probably because the point of time for releasing the ball is usually late in right-side attacks and, as a result, the front-rear throwing angle becomes quite large. 5. The contribution of body parts on the ball speed was higher in order of the forearm > upper arm, hand > shoulder joint. 6. In players whose distance between the two legs at the moment of release, their body usually did not incline to the side much. Thus it is considered necessary to correct the right leg in their shooting motion. 7. According to the result of analyzing throwing form, the speed of the ball at the moment of leaving the hand was faster in right-side attacks than in left-side and center attacks.
The purpose of this study was to provide quantified data on the throwing skills of world-class athletes and to analyze the kinematic variables for women shot-putters at the IAAF World Championships Daegu 2011. Three-dimensional motion analyses of the eight players who qualified for the final round were carried out to obtain the data. The Kwon3D XP program was used for image analysis of the kinematic data, which included the configurations of each joint. The following conclusions were arrived at. The throwing distance increased with an increase in the release speed, and a significant correlation (p <. 01) was observed between the throwing distance and release speed. It was also shown that players using the spin technique increased their release speed with a fast shoulder-rotation-angle speed. The release height varied with their height and showed a significant difference with the record. This showed that the release angle did not greatly influence the record for the game, but varied with their technical and physical characteristics. Therefore, an increase in release speed is required to improve the record.
This paper analyzes the distortion correction of the in the micro DMD(digital micro mirror device) projector system using 0.25 or less optical throwing distance ratio. The distortion of projected image occurs depending on the performance of the optical lens, the installation location of the projection system, and the tilt of the screen. This study analyzed the physical tilt values influencing of the distortion of projected image, removed the tilt distortion of throwing distance ratio optical lens, and adjusted the distortion image by the simulation of calibration displacements. The results of this study demonstrated within 5% TV distortion reference. Moreover, the correction method reduced the pin-distortion correction of projection system.

The primary purpose of this study was to analyze the motion of the scaphoid, capitate, and lunate during dart-throwing motion by three-dimensional modeling. Five series of CT images of five normal right wrists were acquired from five motion steps from radial extension to ulnar flexion in the dart-throwing motion plane. Segmentation and three-dimensional modeling of bones from CT images was performed using Analyze. Distances among centroids of the scaphoid, capitate and lunate and angles between principal axes of three carpal bones were calculated to analyze the motion by using MATLAB. As the wrist motion changed from radial extension to ulnar flexion, the distance between two adjacent bones decreased. The scaphoid and lunate rotated less than the capitates during dart-throwing motion. This study reports the Three-dimensional in vivo measurement of carpal motion using CT images.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the kinematic factors and throwing variables for the 3-turn and 4-turn techniques and for release as well as to provide technical advice for improving athletic performance in hammer throwing. Data analysis led to the following conclusions: To increase the rotation speed for the 3-turn and 4-turn techniques, the time elapsed during the 1-foot support period should be decreased the distance between the rotating foot and the rotation axis should be small and the height of the hip joint should be increased at the times of release The throwing angle at the moment of release should be more than 40 degrees, and the throwing position should be taken vertically high at the shoulder joints. To accelerate the motion of the hammer, the speed should not be reduced during the 1-foot support period but should be increased during the 2-foot support period for much greater acceleration. In the 3-turn technique, the angles of the shoulder axis and hummer string should be dragged angle at the maximum point and lead angle at the minimum point, and dragged angle at the maximum and minimum points in the 4-turn at the time of relase The upper body should be quickly bent backward, the knee angle should be extended, and the angles of the shoulder axis and hammer string should be dragged angle close to 90 degrees.
The purpose of this study was to investigate a three dimensional kinematic variables about the last stride and the release phase of the throwing technique for female javelin throwers. For the motion analysis, Six female javelin throwers were used as subjects. Three-dimensional coordinates were collected using the Kwon3D Motion Analysis Package Version 2.1 Program. Two S-VHS Video Cameras were used to record the locations and orientations of control object and the performances of the subjects at a frequency of 6.0 HZ. After the kinematic variables such as the time, the distance, the velocity, and the angle were analyzed about the last stride and release phase, the followings were achieved; 1. For the effectively javelin throwing, the subjects appeared to do long the approach time in the phasel of landing phase, and short the delivery time in release phase 2. In the release event, the other subjects except for subject A appeared to throwing in the lower condition than the height of themselves. This result showed to slow the projecion velocity. 3. For increase the projection vcelocity of the upper extremity joint in the release event, it appeared to do extend rather the shoulder angle than increase the extension of elbow joint. 4. The body of COG angle showed to gradually increase nearly at the vertical axis in the release event. But the front lean angle of trunk showed a small angle compare to increase of the body of COG angle. Therefore for the effectively momentum transmission of the whole body in the javelin, the front and back lean angle of trunk appeared to do fastly transfer the angle displacement in the arch posture or the crescent condition during the deliverly motion of the release phase.
Purpose In this study, 45 students were divided into task - oriented group, task - oriented intermittent group, and continuous group, and the effect of each variable on learning was changed to angle of the arms' we checked. Methods This study was conducted for 45 days from March 13 to 18, 2017 for five days in the 20 generals living in Changwon city. Dart and goniometer were used for the measurement. In the exercise program, darts were placed on a smooth, hard surface of 1.5M height and the distance to the subject was set 1.5m away. In the dart throw practice, all three groups were marked with an elbow flexion $30^{\circ}$ on the wall, and the subjects were instructed to throw the dart at that point. Results Comparisons between groups showed significant differences between the continuous task-oriented training group and the intermittent task-oriented training group and the control group at the end of training (*** P <0.001). Conclusion This study showed that the intermittent task-oriented training method showed the highest effect (*** P <0.001), which proved that the intermittent method is the most effective exercise method among the three groups.
Monovision is defined as correcting one eye for distance vision and the other eye for near vision. Single-vision contact lenses are used for each eye. The patient selectively suppresses one eye while using the other eye. This study was performed to measure binocular function and patient satisfaction with monovision induced by adding +3.00D to spectacle prescription for distance vision in nonpresbyopic students. This study comprised 144 nonpresbyopic students with monovision induced by adding +3.00D to spectacle prescription. Monovision was induced by undercorrecting the nondominant eye by adding 3.00 diopters for near vision and correcting the dominant eye with emmetropia for distance vision. For research of the binocular function on Monovision. This study was tested the obstacle course, water pouring test, catching and throwing, bead classification including the stereopsis test. These tests were comparative to the normal binocular state. As a results, the stereopsis have a significant reductions in Monovision. There was no significantly difference between monovision group and control group in monovision exercise (obstacle course, water pouring test, catching and throwing, and bead sorting) at near and distance. This study indicates that monovision is an effective and reasonable therapeutic modality for correcting presbyopia. By the application of above methods, this study could be used the student for the practical practice and understand on the Monovison.
