Analysis of The Effects of Information Security Policy Sanction, Perceived Threat, and Perception of Information Security Climate on Compliance Behavioral Intention: Focursing on Prospect and Goal Orientation (정보 보안 제재성과 위협 인식, 분위기 인식이 준수 행동 의도성에 미치는 영향 분석: 전망 관점과 목표 지향 관점을 중심으로)

  • This study evaluates the impact of an information security policy sanction, a perceived threat, and the perception of the information security climate on a compliance behavioral intention. The research method was structured with a cross-sectional study design for the prospect and goal orientation. The variables used in the analysis are information security policy sanction, perceived threat, perception of information security climate, and compliance behavioral intention. Progress in this research consists of measuring the prospect and goal orientation, and then measuring the four variables. As a result, the prospect had a significant effect on the perception of the information security climate, and it was found that the influence of the gain-based condition was greater than the loss-based condition. Goal orientation had a significant effect on the information security policy sanction, the perceived threat, and the compliance behavioral intention, and the influence of the development-based condition was greater than the stability-based condition. Both prospect and goal orientation had an interactive effect on the compliance behavioral intention. The exploration model was verified as a mediation model. In addition, the discussion includes the appropriate implications for information security based on these research results.

  • Megacities of the Repulic of Korea(ROK) will have increased by urbanization and the fourth industrial revolution. Mgacities are absolutely the opportunity factor to make human life enriched. Simultaneously, those are the challenge foctor considering the crucial conventional threat such as massive artillery and multiple rocket launcher from the North Korea. Israel that has faced the geopolitical situation of ROK developed the Multi-layer air defense system to offset the low altitude threat from the neighboring nations. As a result, Israel substantially removed plenty of Hamas' rockes and suicidal drones in 2021. Applying Israel's concept, North Korea's low altitude threat toward the ROK's megacities can effectively be eliminated. Furthermore, this Multi-layer air defense system can be a game-changer that gets rid of the low and high altitude threat from North Korea and neighboring nations with both hyperconnected sensor-C2-shooter and artificial intelligence. Through this approach, the ROK will be able to achieve the prosperity and prowth of nation at the center of Megacities concentrated on PMESII(Politics, Military, Economy, Society, Information, and Infrastructure) factors.

A qualitative study on the psychological difficulties of conglomerates executives after involuntary retirement (대기업 임원들이 비자발적 퇴직 이후 겪는 심리적 어려움에 대한 질적 연구)

  • This study examined the involuntary retirement of executives in conglomerates based on Williams' need-threat temporal model of ostracism(2009), which explains the psychology of individuals facing social exclusion in the stages of reflexive, reflective and resignation. In-depth interviews were conducted on 15 retirees from conglomerates, and their contents were used for phenomenological method of analysis. As a result, in the reflexive stage of need-threat temporal model of ostracism, they experienced cognitive panic and emotional panic immediately following retirement. Due to an unexpected shocking experience of retirement notice, they experienced cognitive numbness first, and repressed the following negative feelings cognitively to hide them. In the reflective stage, retirees dream of 'a complete restoration to their best performance in the past', but as such expectation fails, they don't adjust to the reality more due to 'unrealistic thought', 'self-deception', and 'shift responsibility'. In resignation stage, a long-term failure to satisfy the desire led them to experience a sense of defeat and helplessness. Such results were reviewed and compared to Williams' need-threat temporal model of ostracism, and the implications of such result on the nation, companies and retirees in terms of the response to retirement.

Study on the State Leadership's Safety Measures Regarding the North Korean Threat of Weapons of Mass Destruction - Focuses on the Threat of North Korean Nuclear Weapons (북한 대량살상무기 위협에 대한 국가지도부 안전대책에 관한 연구 - 북한 핵무기 위협을 중심으로)

  • The concept of national security and the fundamental system for crisis management have departed from traditional methods and the importance of a national critical infrastructure crisis management has been emphasized. A national critical infrastructure crisis means a situation where human resource, material and functional system that may have a material effect on the critical functions of the government, the vitality and integrity of society, national economy and the safety of the public becomes disabled due to causes such as terrorism or major disasters. Although North Korea had been subject to numerous rounds of negotiations and sanctions as it continually developed nuclear weapons since the 1960s, it has also showed off its nuclear armaments through successful nuclear testings and missile launches. As the development and threat of North Korea's weapons of mass destruction becomes more noticeable and the range of its risk expands, this study focuses on the potential for an absence of leadership for national crisis management where the country's leadership, which should serve the critical role and function of handling national crises, becomes completely destroyed by the unexpected initial attacks by North Korea. As a result, the purpose of this study is to propose safety measures for the country's leadership in preparation for North Korea's threat of nuclear weapons by examining the concept and degree of risk of weapons of mass destruction with a focus on nuclear weapons, analyzing the substance of the threat of North Korean nuclear weapons and evaluating such threat. In conclusion, first, to ensure the normal functioning of a national crisis management system in the event of a national crisis, we must seek safety measures that conform to the scope and succession order of the leadership of the national crisis management for an Enduring Constitutional Government (ECG) and the Continuity Of Operations (COOP). Second, in the event of a national ceremony, the gathering of the country's leadership all together in an open place should be avoided. In unavoidable circumstances, the next in rank that will act on behalf of the current leader should be designated and relevant safety measures should be taken. Third, during time of peace, in preparation for national crises, the scope of protection for the country's leadership should be prescribed and specific security and safety measures should be implemented. Fourth, the succession order for acting president in the case of the death of the president pursuant to Articles 71 and 26(1) of the National Government Organization Act should reconsidered to see whether it is a reasonable provision that takes into consideration a national crisis management that corresponds to the threat of North Korean nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction. Pursuant to the Basic Guidelines for National Crisis Management set out under Presidential Directive No. 229, the Korean government is currently operating a case-by-case "crisis management standard manual" and its sub-manuals and has also prepared the Presidential Security Service's security and safety measure regulations regarding the acting president. Therefore, the Korean government should actualize the above points in the case-by-case crisis management standard manual and security and safety measure regulations regarding the acting president to implement and legislate them.

A Study on Determination of the Size of Battery Position in Consideration of Enemy Threat (적 위협을 고려한 포병진지 규모결정에 관한 연구)

  • Currently, increasing the number of artillery units requires more deployment space in FABA. However, available positions of artillery units in FEBA is limited due to mountainous terrains. Therefore, it is hard to find enough artillery position space in accordance with the field artillery mannual. This paper studies on determination of the size of battery position in order to maximize the firing-effectiveness and to minimize the enemy threat. Also, it studies the possibility of reducing the size of a battery position. The optimum size of a battery position id obtained by using Dantzig's model and Supper Quick II model which produces the probability of kill data with various input data. As a result, it shows that the size of battery position can be reduced without decreasing the firing-effectiveness.

  • According to advance of radar technology and increase of air threat, 3D surveillance radars are preferred as shipboard equipments to shorten reaction time. In this paper, reaction time against air target was calculated by simulation in each case, 2D and 3D surveillance radar and it was suggested that a few parameters including purpose of warships, performance of shipboard equipments, threat of surrounding countries and budget to select the reasonable type of radar.

  • The occurrence of toxic cyanobacterial blooms has been reported worldwide and poses a threat to human health through drinking water exposure. The toxins they produce are highly water soluble and can leach into the water body. To eliminate any risk of drinking water exposure, removal of these toxins is essential before the water is consumed. Conventional water treatment techniques such as chlorination, if managed well, can be effectively used to remove some of these toxins, however, saxitoxin and its derivatives pose a problem. Little toxicological data are available to evaluate the real threat of these toxins.
