Epoxy resin has wide application in various industrial fields because of their good mechanical strength, superiority adhesion and low shrinkage etc. And the typical curing method for epoxy resins is thermal and press compaction. However, a curing method was used electron beam process in this study. Epoxy acrylate was fabricated from mixture of epoxy, acrylic acid, tetraphenylporphyrin (TPP) and hydroquinone monomethyl ether (MEHQ) with mole ratios. Then electron beam irradiation effect on the curing of the epoxy acrylate resin was investigated various absorption dose in nitrogen atmospheres at room temperature. The dynamic mechanical and thermal properties of the irradiated epoxy acrylate resins were characterized using dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) and thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA). And the tensile and flexural strength were measured by an universal tensile machine (UTM).

The steady cooling characteristics of a cryochamber for infrared (IR) detector have been investigated analytically, considering radiation shields. The thermal modeling considers the conduction heat transfer through cold finger, the gaseous conduction due to out-gassing, and the radiation heat transfer. The cooling load of the cryochamber is obtained by using a fin equation. The results obtained indicate that the gaseous conduction plays an important role in determining the steady cooling load. The steady cooling load is increased as the gas pressure is increased. It is also found that the cooling load is substantially decreased with a radiation shield. The most thermal load of a cryochamber occurs through the cold finger.
This paper describes the preparation of manufacturing a new nanocomposite material, which involves adding a multi walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) to improve thermal characteristics of poly (ethylene-co-vinyl acetate) (EVA). We irradiated the prepared nanocomposites with doses of 50 kGy, 100 kGy and 200 kGy at a dose rate of $5kGy\;hr^{-1}$ and examined their thermal stability, activation energy and crosslink level by using a thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) and gel fraction experiments. TGA results indicated that the samples with a MWCNT had higher Derivative Thermo Gravimetry (DTG) 2nd peak temperatures than those without a MWCNT. And activation energy of the samples reduced as the absorption dose and the MWCNT content increased. Finally, the gel fraction increased rapidly up to 100 kGy as total absorption dose increased, and then the growth rate of all samples was slowly increased from 100 kGy.

The amount of incident rays over inclination according to direction has been widely utilized as important data in installing solar thermal systems. To optimize the incident solar radiation, the slope, that is the angle between the plane surface in question and the horizontal, and the solar azimuth angles are needed for these solar thermal systems. This is because the performance of the solar thermal systems in much affected by angle and direction of incident rays. Recognizing that factors mentioned above are of importance, actual experiment on the moving route of the sun have been performed in this research to obtain the angle of inclination with which the maximum incident rays can be absorbed. After all, the standard for designing highly optimized solar thermal systems will be provided for designers and employees working in the solar collector related industries.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristic of the thermal environment at a living room by the heating system(floor radiation heating, forced convection heating, combined heating, radiation convection heating), and to compares the change of the thermal environment after operating the heating with after the operation stopped based on the floor radiation heating. This study proposes the basic data for the design and the development of the thermal storage structure heating system which not only utilizes fully the characteristic of the comfortable thermal environment but also reduces the preheating period and be able to use the off-peak electricity.
The effects of atmospheric thermal loads on the response of structural elements that are exposed to open environments have been recognized by research works and design specifications. The main source of atmospheric heat is solar radiation, which dominates the variation of the temperature of air, earth surface and all exposed objects. The temperature distribution along the depth of steel members may differ with the geometry configuration, which means that the different-configuration steel members may suffer different thermally induced strains and stresses. In this research, an experimental steel beam was instrumented with many thermocouples in addition to other sensors. Surface temperatures, air temperature, solar radiation and wind speed measurements were recorded continuously for 21 summer days. Based on a finite element thermal analysis, which was verified using the experimental records, several parametric studies were directed to investigate the effect of the geometrical parameters of AISC standard steel sections on their thermal response. The results showed that the overall size of the beam, its depth and the thickness of its elements are of significant effect on vertical temperature distributions and temperature differences.

Caused on the excessive heat accumulation of concrete material, the indoor thermal environment of reinforced concrete building is so bad in Okinawa. As the interruption of solar radiation could be one of the methods to improve it, the purpose of this study is to find out the effect of adopting solar radiation interrupting materials -Solar insulating block, Grass, and both of them- for the improvement of thermal environment. As the result, it was found that grass on the solar insulating block which has an air layer obviously improved the indoor thermal environment of RC building which was applied to. And it was found that the systems have an effectuality on heat island phenomenon simultaneously. It could be proposed as a good system which improve the indoor thermal environment of the existent houses.
The characteristics of combustion and radiation heat transfer of an oxygen-enhanced diffusion flame was experimentally analyzed. An infrared radiation heat flux gauge was used to measure the thermal radiation of various types of flames with fuel, air and pure oxygen. And the Laser Induced Incandescence (LII) technique was applied to characterize the soot concentrations which mainly contribute to the continuum radiation from flame. The results show that an oxygen-enhanced inverse diffusion flame is very effective in increasing the thermal radiation compared to normal oxygen diffusion flame. This seems to be caused by overlapped heat release rate of double flame sheets formed in inverse flame and generation of higher intermediate soot in fuel rich zone of oxygen-fuel interface, which is desirable to increase continuum radiation. And the oxygen/methane reaction at slight fuel rich condition (ø=2) in oxygen-enhanced inverse flame was found to be more effective to generate the soot with moderate oxygen availability.
