레일신축 이음부 유지보수 작업에 대한 침목결속의 영향 (The Effect of the Tied Sleeper on the Maintenance Work in the Rail Expansion Joint Zone)

  • The continuous welded rail(CWR) track without the rail expansion joint has many advantages over the conventional track in a variety of fields including the speed-up and the ride comport. However, due to the excessive axial force in the CWR and the track-bridge interactive behavior, inevitably, the rail expansion joint must be installed at the vulnerable zone such as the bridge end zone, etc. In this rail expansion joint zone, the frequency of the maintenance work to repair the track irregularity is on the rise. This is because that the creep of the sleeper is occurred in the moveable zone of the rail expansion joint. In this study, among the several options for reducing the track irregularity on the rail expansion joint zone, the application and efficiency of the tied sleeper is investigated. Field test construction has been conducted, then the progress of the track irregularity and the frequency of the maintenance work are analyzed before and after the filed test construction.

  • 본 연구는 궤도 틀림을 관리하기 위한 궤도 품질 지수(TQI)의 진전율 추정에 관한 것이다. 이와 관련한 기존 연구 대부분은 시간에 따른 TQI 값의 선형 회귀분석을 통해 구해진 기울기를 기준으로 상수 진전율을 제시하는 데 그치고 있다. 본 연구는 과거 데이터 혹은 전문가의 식견으로부터 도출되는 파라미터의 사전 분포를 효과적으로 반영할 수 있으며, 파라미터값의 확률 분포를 유도해 낼 수 있는 베이지안 방법론에 기초한 진전율 추정 모델을 제안하고, 기존의 전통적인 회귀분석 모형과의 비교 연구를 통해, 베이지안 방법론의 활용 가능성을 검토해 보았다.

인접굴착공사에 따른 도시철도 분기기 궤도의 변형 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Track Deformation Characteristics of Turnout System by Adjacent Excavation Work on Urban Transit)

  • 분기기 궤도구조는 매우 복잡한 구조와 다양한 구성품으로 구성되어 일반 궤도보다 유지관리가 어렵고 보다 상세한 관리기준이 필요한 철도시설물이다. 본 연구의 목적은 공용중인 도시철도 선로와 인접한 굴착공사에 따른 지상부 분기기 궤도구조의 변형에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 인접굴착 시공단계별 수치해석을 바탕으로 지상구간에 부설된 분기기 궤도선형을 고려한 주요위치별 궤도변형을 분석하였으며 이를 궤도틀림 기준과 비교하여 안전성을 확인하였다. 분석결과, 지상 분기기 궤도변형에 영향을 미치는 주요 시공단계는 굴착 최종 단계로 나타났으며, 면(고저)틀림인 연직변위가 상대적으로 크게 발생하였으나, 전체적으로는 수평방향의 변형이 지배적인 것으로 분석되었다. 이는 굴착 현장이 분기기 측면에 위치하는 측방굴착의 영향인 것으로 판단된다. 또한 분기기 주요위치별 변형량이 상이하고 굴착현장과의 이격거리에 따른 위치별 궤도변형의 편차가 발생하여 평면성틀림이 발생될 소지가 있을 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 현재 발생된 궤도틀림을 바탕으로 인접굴착에 따른 추가적인 변위를 포함한 실 운행선 분기기 궤도구조의 궤도변형을 주요변형 특성이 발생되는 위치별로 중요도를 구분하여 별도의 관리가 필요한 것으로 분석되었다.

  • Recently, in the total railroad construction field, concrete slab tracks have been adapted in place of ballast tracks. Because ballast tracks need frequent maintenance and are difficult to handle due to increasing maintenance costs, eventually concrete slab tracks were selected as an alternative. However, owing to the hydration heat reactions and temperature-affected shrinkage of the concrete, a variety of studies to solve maintenance problems related to concrete slab tracks are underway. This study analyzed characteristics of TQI values evaluating track irregularity, investigated the relationship between crack progress and TQI, and then evaluated the correlation between the two values. Through our analysis, we found that there is a need to supplement the problems of the current method and develop a track evaluation index which takes cracking into account. We also concluded that TQI is the main decision-making tool in track maintenance.

  • In this paper, the results of an analysis of the dynamic behavior of the eddy current brake(ECB) system are presented. The measured irregularity of the track in Korean high speed line and the track irregularity given by ERRI(high level) were used for simulation. The wheel-rail profile combination were analyzed with different rail gauges. A model of the bogie with an substitute body fur the carbody was implemented in the Multi-Body-Simulation Program Simpack.   • The control of rail surface irregularity is very important for the high speed train service in the high speed rail. In order to manage it, initial, preventative, and maintainable rail grinding have been performed and among them, preventative rail grinding conducts in every each year. This study carried out the field test for dynamic track response according to rail surface irregularity comparing before and after rail grinding. In addition, the change of dynamic track responses according to rail grinding was analyzed and the fatigue life was estimated though Rainflow Counting Method and RMC Equivalence Stress. Therefore, it suggested that rail fatigue life should be increased by rail grinding, because amount of impact occurred on track is decreased by getting rid of rail surface irregularity.

  • This paper shows an algorithm for identifying track irregularities using wavelet transfer function along the railway. An equivalent SISO wavelet transfer function is defined using continuous wavelet transform by the measured track geometry and acceleration at a bogie of a train. The estimated track geometry is made by inverse continuous wavelet transform from the regressed signals of measured acceleration signal and the pre-defined wavelet transfer function. The estimated rail irregularity geometry is evaluated by the coherence function and comparison of FRF(Frequency Response Function). As a result of evaluated outcome, This algorithm is regarded as appropriate for estimation of rail irregularity.

  • At high rail temperature above the neutral temperature, high compressive axial stresses will occur in the rails. High thermal axial force and vehicle loads cause the track to shift in a lateral direction and the formation of track geometry imperfections (track irregularity). When the thermal stress level and track irregularity with vehicle load reach a critical value, the track loses stability. In many studies, the stability of CWR tracks is analyzed. However these studies are only considered in temperature load. The main objective of this investigation was to estimate a new, comprehensive, realistic, the stability of CWR tracks considering wheel load. The ballast resistance is changed by wheel load. When the wheel load is applied, rails and ties are moved upward or downward. In this case the friction between ties and ballasts is decreased or increased. In this study the change of the ballast resistance of each tie was applied to the nonlinear analysis of CWR tracks.

  • A sharp curved ballasted track on earthwork that was connected with a direct fixation slab track on steel box railway bridges have been deformed and damaged despite the frequently maintenance by a restoring force of sharp curved rail and track-bridge interaction forces such as axial forces and longitudinal displacement of continuous welded rail(CWR) owing to their structural characteristics, calling for alternatives to improve the structural safety and track irregularity. In this study, the authors aim to prove a cause of deformation for the sharp curved ballasted tracks to enhance the structural safety and track irregularity of ballasted track in service. A track-bridge interaction analysis and a finite-element method analysis for the sharp curved ballasted track were performed to consider the axial force and longitudinal displacement of CWR, the temperature and the effect of restoring force of sharp curved rail. From the results, the deformation of the sharp curved ballasted track with adjusted sleeper spacing from 833mm to 590mm were significantly reduced.

생애주기분석을 위한 궤도 마모 및 틀림 데이터 처리 및 분석 (Track Wear and Irregularity Data Processing and Analysis for Life Cycle Performance)

  • Generally, there are many types of data, such as wear data or irregularity data, are detected for analyzing railway performance. The analysis of railroad wear or irregularity data is most effective method for the efficient railway maintenance. Especially, the track damaged directly by train, have as important position with the inspection data. This study suggest the Life-Cycle performance analysis method and process of railroad by analyzing two types of data, wear data and irregularity data. This analysis methods can be applied to suggest the Life-Cycle performance of railroad based on environmental factors or design factors, such as sleeper type, roadbed type, cant, the radius of curvature, speed, maintenance history and so on.
