인간 중심 대안적 과학 활동 지도가 초등학생 및 지도 교사에게 끼치는 영향 (The Effects of Human-oriented Alternative Science Activities on Elementary School Students and Their Teacher)

  • This study analyzed the effect of Human-oriented Alternative Science Activities(HASA) on a coaching teacher and the students who participated in this activity. Human-oriented alternative science activities were used in the experimental group and traditional teaching methods were used in the control group. In pretest and posttest sessions, both groups were evaluated using an academic achievement test, and an affective characteristics related science test. After the activity, questionaries regarding attitudes to science lessons were administered as well. The process of change (if any) which occurred in the science lessons of the experimental group teacher was also analyzed through the teacher's diaries. The results showed that application of HASA had a positive effect upon affective characteristics and attitudes to science classes held by the experimental group and teacher. However, the result of this study also showed that the variation between academic achievement of each group was statistically insignificant.

The Effects of Medication and Symptom Management Education Program Based on Self Efficacy Theory for the Psychiatric Patients

  • Propose. An effective rehabilitation program had been developed for psychiatric patients' self management of medication and symptoms in Korea. The rehabilitation program was designed to allow the patients to understand their illness, cope with their medical regimen, and prevent a relapse by recognizing any of the symptoms when they recur. Methods. The developed program utilizes the self efficacy method reported by Bandura, it includes manuals and videotapes focusing on real life situations, small group discussions, and telephone coaching. This study investigated the effects of this program with respect to various predictable variables in psychiatric rehabilitation. Thirty eight patients were selected for this study, 18 in the experimental program and 20 as controls. Results. The results showed that the subjects who attended this educational program reported significantly more improvement in attitude toward medication compliance (p=0.033), and significantly less relapse warning symptom scores (p=0.000) than the controls. Conclusion. This program may be a useful psychoeducational resource for professionals in the field of clinical practice in psychiatry.

A Collaborative Framework between Industry and Academia to Stimulate Entrepreneurship through Business Incubation

  • Entrepreneurship development has increasingly become a global solution to address the problem of rising unemployment. Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) have become important tools in improving the economic performance and social well-being of nations. When universities and industry work together to push the boundaries of knowledge, they become a powerful engine for innovation and economic growth. This paper is based on focus group interviews and discussions conducted with key players involved in the HIT-Sandown-UNDP Business Incubation Programme in Harare Zimbabwe. The business incubation project sought to support young Zimbabweans to transform their technical prototypes into commercially and socially viable ventures. As a result, a total of 10 prototypes were refined and investor ready business plans were developed for capital sourcing purposes. It was only through the coming together of the partners that real transformation of the lives of the participants was achieved through learning valuable business skills, coaching and mentoring. University-industry partnerships are a useful vehicle of setting up sustainable business incubation centres.

환경단원 수업을 위한 문제중심학습 설계 및 적용 (Design and Application of the Problem Based Learning Model for Environment Teaching Unit)

  • 본 연구에서는 문제중심학습(Problem Based Learning)을 과학 수업에 적용하기 위한 지도전략과 '문제상황'을 설계하고 이를 적용한 후 학습자의 학습과정과 문제중심학습에 대한 인식을 밝히고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 적용한 문제중심학습의 단계는 문제상황 제시-문제 만나기-알고 있는 것과 알아야 할 것에 대한 확인(Know/Need to Know)-문제의 진술-정보의 수집과 공유-가능한 문제해결책 형성-최적 문제해결책 결정-문제해결책 발표이고, 소집단 토론 전략과 학습자 주도적 문제해결 전략 등의 단계별 지도전략을 설계하였다. '온실효과를 줄이기 위한 미래의 에너지로 무엇이 좋을까?'라는 문제상황으로, 과학고등학교 2학년 지구과학 수업시간에 문제중심학습을 실시하였고, 학습과정과 문제중심학습에 대한 인식을 밝혔다. 연구결과, 문제의 진술 단계에서는 초기에는 광범위한 문제 진술이 많았으나, 토론을 거듭할수록 문제해결책을 찾기 용이한 좁은 범위의 문제 진술로 정교화되었다. 그리고 K/NK단계에서 알고 있는 것과 알아야할 것에 대하여 명료하게 진술하는 활동이 해결책을 찾는 과정에서 학습자에게 가장 도움이 되는 활동으로 분석되었다. 소감문 분석결과 학습자들은 문제상황에서 문제를 찾아내는 과정을 가장 어려워하면서도 또한 흥미있는 활동으로 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과로부터, 내실있는 문제중심학습의 적용을 위하여, 다각도의 문제인식이 가능한 간학문적이고 현실적인 문제 상황의 개발이 우선되어야함을 알 수 있다.

  • The purpose of present study is to applied center assess method to Military General's Promotion System. This study aim to examine assessment center method based on core competency model will be applied to Military General's Promotion System and Human Resource Management. This study propose that Military General's core competency model based on job analysis to identify competency of Army, Navy, Air Force's Generals and to identify the consequences and performances of assess center method. This study propose that assess center method applied to Military General's Promotion System have many kinds. Facilitated Simulation methods were Planning and Analysis /Oral Presentation, Presentation management Coaching, customer /Peer lnteraction. Non-facilitated Simulation methods were In-Basket game, Leaderless Group Discussion, role playing. And this study propose that Military General's assessment center method based on core competency model will be effective in Military field.

S-OJT 성공요인과 예기치 않은 성과에 관한 사례연구 (Case Study on Critical Success Factors and Unexpected Consequences of Structured OJT)

  • Purpose - Recently on-the-job training (OJT) has become the most preferred training and development method with the emergence of the concept that workplace is the best place where learning take place. But many researchers argue that OJT is not helpful for the performance of organization because OJT is not systematic and mostly depend on quality of trainer. Since Jacobs & McGriffin introduced S-OJT (structured OJT), there has been plenty of researches. But most of the researches have focused mainly on employee's attitude and organizational performance caused by S-OJT and neglected a holistic approach of S-OJT as a system. S-OJT need to be analyzed comprehensively to understand training performance because S-OJT is operated as a system consist of input, process, and organizational context. Although S-OJT may create unintended consequences, there were few researches to explore them. Thus, the purpose of this study is to identify the critical success factors for S-OJT and to find unintended consequences of it. Research design, data and methodology - We conducted a case study on M business unit of A company which developed and has been implementing S-OJT program for years. We designed and prepared the process, collected and analyzed data for the study. We set the theoretical framework to analyze the case after reviewing theories and previous studies on S-OJT. We collected and analyzed internal reports and interview results of the employees of the M business unit. We tried to collect as many information as possible to secure the validity of the research results. Results - The critical success factors identified in the study are as follow. First, it is important to select and train proper trainers for S-OJT. Second, it is needed to develop structured training module. Third, organization have to use effective communication system like on-line community. Forth, trainer should have proper skills for training such as facilitating skill, coaching skill, and delivering skill etc. Fifth, proper learning place is needed. Sixth, organizational support is important especially, immediate supervisor support and concern is critical. Eleventh, it is needed to consider situational contexts. Among them, overload to the trainer will affect the effectiveness of S-OJT. In this study, we found an additional unintended consequence. "To teach is the best way to learn." Experience as a trainer give employee an opportunity to organize one's knowledge and skill and to attain facilitation skill, coaching skill, and relation skill. Thus, organization may use S-OJT to train the potential talent. Conclusions - Many organizations introduced S-OJT to train the newcomers because S-OJT drew attention as an important tool to develop employees. Following this trend, there has been increasing number of researches to find the results of S-OJT and identify the determinants of S-OJT success. However, most of the researches concentrated on finding effects of some factors neglecting holistic approach. This study tried to identify critical success factors affecting effectiveness of S-OJT by using case study and find additional unintended consequence. The results of the study will be useful for organizations which have a plan to adopt S-OJT.

중등도 유산소 운동이 비만아동의 adiponectin, RBP-4(retinol binding protein-4) 및 혈관 염증인자에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Moderate Aerobic Exercise on Adiponectin, Retinol Binding Protein-4, and Vascular Inflammation Factors in Obese Children)

  • 본 연구는 비만아동을 대상으로 12주간 중강도 유산소 운동을 통해 신체조성, 아디포넥틴, RBP-4, 혈관염증인자에 미치는 영향을 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 대상자들은 두 집단으로, 운동군(n=15)은 12주간 중강도 유산소 운동을 실시하였고, 대조군(n=13)은 운동 프로그램에 참여하지 않았다. 운동군은 여유심박수 50%의 운동강도로 300 kcal에 도달할 때까지 트레드밀에서 런닝을 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다 : 운동군이 통제군보다 체중, 체질량지수, 체지방률, 수축기 혈압과 이완기 혈압이 각각 유의하게 감소하는 것으로 나타났고(p<0.05), 최대산소섭취량은 운동군에서 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). 공복시 혈당, 인슐린과 인슐린저항성은 운동군에서 유의하게 감소하였고(p<0.05), 아디포넥틴은 12주 운동 후 운동군에서 유의하게 증가하였다(p<0.05). 또한, 혈중 RBP-4, CRP, IL-6 농도는 대조군보다 운동군에서 유의하게 감소하는 것으로 나타났다(p<0.05). 본 연구에서 12주간 규칙적인 유산소 운동 프로그램은 비만 아동들의 염증과 신체지수 개선에 긍정적인 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다.

국제경기에서 나타난 엘리트 여자하키 스프린트 특성분석: 2016~2018 A-match를 중심으로 (Analysis of Elite Korean Women's Hockey Sprint Characteristics in International Games: Focus on the 2016~2018 A-match)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to analyze the distance, number, duration, velocity of sprints generated during women's hockey competition by position to identify sprint patterns. Method: The data was collected in 17 matches between 2016 and 2018, 49 elite women's hockey players were tested using SPI-HPU to identify differences by position using SPSS 25.0. A total of 376 Sprint information was utilized. Results: First, women's hockey players all showed significant differences in the number of sprints, duration, distance, and max velocity depending on their positions. Second, there was a significant difference in the number of sprints in the difference between quarters. And the factors of duration, distance, and max velocity showed differences between positions. Third, according to the results, there were differences in the number of times, duration, distance, and max velocity in the difference between positions. Conclusion: These results can be confirmed the sprint patterns of depends on position during the women's hockey game and can be used as information for the development of physical and tactical training programs.

부정적 정서에 대한 어머니 반응 지각과 자아 탄력성이 학령기 후기 아동의 생활만족도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Late School-Aged Children's Perception of the Mother's Response to Negative Emotions and Ego Resilience on their Life Satisfaction)

  • This study examines the effects of late school-aged children's perception of their mother's responses to negative emotions and their ego resilience on their life satisfaction. Data were collected from 390 fifth- and sixth-graders residing in Kwangju, Korea. With the data, frequency, percentages, and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ were calculated. Pearson's product moment correlation coefficients and hierarchical regression analyses were also considered. The effects of various variables on life satisfaction were analyzed, and according to the results, vitality had the greatest effect on life satisfaction, followed by vitality, optimism, emotional coaching responses, interpersonal relationships, emotion-reducing responses, emotion control, and the material employment status, in that order. The study contributes to the literature by providing additional insights into the mother's desirable responses to children's negative emotions and highlighting the importance of positive ego resilience in children's life satisfaction through the elucidation of effects of late school-aged children's perception of their mother's responses to negative emotions and their ego resilience on their life satisfaction.

The Impact of Coach Leadership Type on Exercise of College Athletes

  • Purpose: Prior literature posits that leadership of coach influences athletes' performance via delegate interactions. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the type of instructor on the exercise stress of university athletes and to provide instructors with informative coaching methods especially for their leadership. Research design, data, and methodology: In order to achieve the purpose of the research, Seoul and Gyeonggi Province Materials University athletes were selected as a sample, 360 college athletes participated in the survey and data were screened and finally 314 were analyzed. The collected data were analyzed via descriptive analysis and multiple regressions. To examine the validity and reliability of the survey items, factor analysis and Cronbach's α were computed. Results: Coaches' leadership types are found to influence university athletes' exercise stress significantly. In specific, transformational leadership negatively influences teaching Complaints. Transformational leadership also negatively influences time constraints. However, transformational and transactional leadership do not have any effect on career concerns. transformational and transactional leadership also do not influence functional instability of college athletes. Conclusions: Overall, leadership types of coach partially influence exercise stress of athletes. These findings posit that transformational leadership contribute in developing reliable relationship between athletes and instructors. Further implications were discussed.
