  • Most of these cultural spaces are Western architecture which is completely unrelated to our traditional style. In Japan's colonial rule of Korea these Western formation flowed in and passed on by them. Therefore before the understanding of modem cultural space built in Japan's colonial rule of Korea, it's essential to study about the background of the western period in that time, architecture and trend of interior. Due to Great Depression and other reasons the economical modernism of architecture raised in this period. In this thesis, based on such background of period, cultural space has been divided into assembly, theatre and exhibition spaces. Those spaces were studied according to its expressional characteristics and brought to following conclusion from the analysis. The cultural spaces were created around 1930 due to an increase of demand when the modernism started to establish. Like other buildings cultural space expressed modernized elevation and space formation with ferroconcrete building. However until Japan's colonial period the cultural areas were not used for public but for Japanese authority class's social gatherings only. Consequently, unlike other buildings the classical elements that could express these characters were more used in cultural spaces especially in theater and exhibition areas. This distinctiveness didn't appear separately but according to type of rooms in one space. Once more, place like assembly space was expressed with modernism, special or recreation rooms where people pursue a comfort were expressed with decorative style. Also a special theater which was used for only one person was generally expressed with western style to represent the stem character such as power.

  • Aero-engine, as one kind of rotating machinery with complex structure and high rotating speed, has complicated vibration faults. Therefore, condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system is very important for airplane security. In this paper, a vibration data acquisition and intelligent fault diagnosis system is introduced. First, the vibration data acquisition part is described in detail. This part consists of hardware acquisition modules and software analysis modules which can realize real-time data acquisition and analysis, off-line data analysis, trend analysis, fault simulation and graphical result display. The acquisition vibration data are prepared for the following intelligent fault diagnosis. Secondly, two advanced artificial intelligent(AI) methods, mapping-based and rule-based, are discussed. One is artificial neural network(ANN) which is an ideal tool for aero-engine fault diagnosis and has strong ability to learn complex nonlinear functions. The other is data mining, another AI method, has advantages of discovering knowledge from massive data and automatically extracting diagnostic rules. Thirdly, lots of historical data are used for training the ANN and extracting rules by data mining. Then, real-time data are input into the trained ANN for mapping-based fault diagnosis. At the same time, extracted rules are revised by expert experience and used for rule-based fault diagnosis. From the results of the experiments, the conclusion is obvious that both the two AI methods are effective on aero-engine vibration fault diagnosis, while each of them has its individual quality. The whole system can be developed in local vibration monitoring and real-time fault diagnosis for aero-engine.

  • In this paper, an anchor shot detection method, which is a basic technology for managing news videos for index and retrieval purposes is proposed. To do that, two most popular news program such as 'KBS 9 Hour News' and 'MBC 9 Hour News' are analyzed and 4-step rule based detection method is proposed First, in the preprocessing, video shot boundaries are detected and the 1st frame of each shot is extracted as a key frame. Then, the detected shot is declared as an anchor shot, if all the following 4 conditions are satisfied. 1) There is an anchor face in the key frame of a shot. 2) Spatial distribution of edges in the key frame is adequate. 3) Background color information of the key frame is similar to the color information of an anchor model. 4) Motion rate in the shot is low. In order to show the validity of the proposed method, three 'KBS 9 Hour News' and three 'MBC 9 Hour News', which have total running time of 108 in minute and are broadcasted at different days, are used for experiments. Average detection rates showed 0.97 in precision, 1.0 in recall, and 0.98 in F-measure.

  • Various kinds of estimation methods have been developed for imputation of categorical missing data. They include category method, logistic regression, and association rule. In this study, we propose two fusions algorithms based on both neural network and voting scheme that combine the results of individual imputation methods. A Mont-Carlo simulation is used to compare the performance of these methods. Five factors used to simulate the missing data pattern are (1) input-output function, (2) data size, (3) noise of input-output function (4) proportion of missing data, and (5) pattern of missing data. Experimental study results indicate the following: when the data size is small and missing data proportion is large, modal category method, association rule, and neural network based fusion have better performances than the other methods. However, when the data size is small and correlation between input and missing output is strong, logistic regression and neural network barred fusion algorithm appear better than the others. When data size is large with low missing data proportion, a large noise, and strong correlation between input and missing output, neural networks based fusion algorithm turns out to be the best choice.

  • The Supreme Court in Korea judged the conduct of vessels in narrow channel was applied in order to prevent a ship collision in narrow channel, regardless of kind of a ship or weather situation, as application was not excluded as vessel restricted in her ability to manoeuvre without other special circumstances such as receiving the right of keep her course and speed from the other vessel, any priority was not guaranteed for vessel restricted in her ability to manoeuvre in regard to the other vessel following the conduct of vessel in narrow channel. In this judgement, there is concern to cause disorder to interpretation in the rule of narrow channel and responsibility between vessels. Therefore, this study aims to suggest correct interpretation about the rule concerned.

  • This paper analyses from the perspective of distributive justice the legal mechanisms for international allocation of orbital slots, which are of co-owned nature and thereby limited natural resources in outer space. The allocative function is delegated to the International Telecommunication Union. The Radio Regulation, amongst such other legal instruments as the Constitution and Convention, by which the ITU and contracting States thereof abides, dictates how the orbital positions are distributed. Thus, the RR is thoroughly reviewed in the essay. The mechanisms are in a broad sense categorized into two systems: 'a posteriori system' where the 'first come, first served' principle prevails; and 'a priori system' designed to foster the utilisation of the slots by those who lack space resources and are, in especial, likely to be marginalised under the former system. The argument proceeds on the premise that a posteriori system places the under-resourced States in unfavourable positions in the securement of the slots. In contrast with this notion, seven factors were instantiated for an assertion that the degradation of the distributive justice derived from the 'first come, first served' rule, which lays the foundation for the system, could be either mitigated or counterbalanced by the alleged exceptions to the rule. However, the author of this essay argues for counterevidences against the factors and thereby demonstrating that the principle still remains as an overwhelming doctrine, posing a threat to the pursuit of fair allocation. The elements he set forth are as in the following: 1) that the 'first come, first served' principle only applies to assignments capable of causing harmful interferences; 2) the interoperability of the principle with the 'rule of conformity' with the all the ITU instruments; 3) the viability of alternative registrations, as an exception of the application of the principle, on the condition of provisional and informational purposes; 4) another reference that matters in deciding the priority: the types of services in the TFA; 5) the Rule of Procedure H40 proclaiming a ban on taking advantage of coming first to the Register; 6) the technical factors and equity-oriented norms under international and municipal laws along with; 7) the changes of 'basic characteristics' of registered assignments. The second half of this essay illustrates by examining the relevant Annexes to the Regulation that the planned allocation, i.e., a priori system, bear the structured flaws that hinder the fulfillment of the original purpose of the system. The Broadcasting and Fixed Satellite Systems are the reviewed Plans in which the 'first come, first served' principle re-emerges in the end as a determining factor to grant the 'right to international recognition' to administrations including those who has not the allotted portions in the Plan.

  • The ontology was proposed to construct the logical basis of semantic web. Ontology represents domain knowledge in the formal form and it enables that machine understand domain knowledge and provide appropriate intelligent service for user request. However, the construction and the maintenance of ontology requires large amount of cost and human efforts. This paper proposes an automatic ontology construction method for defining relation between concepts in the documents. The Proposed method works as following steps. First we find concept pairs which compose association rule based on the concepts in domain specific documents. Next, we find pattern that describes the relation between concepts by clustering the context between two concepts composing association rule. Last, find generalized pattern name by clustering the clustered patterns. To verify the proposed method, we extract relation between concepts and evaluate the result using documents set provide by TREC(Text Retrieval Conference). The result shows that proposed method cant provide useful information that describes relation between concepts.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the special character and the tendency of the movement change that 12 meridians possess. We studied about the incidental and fundamental rule of the six atmospheric influence that was presented by Pyobonjoong(the incidental, fundamental, intermediate) theory, and the Hwang won-uh's the Six Channel activity of the Qi theory that presented movement form of the meridian through the six atmospheric influence. Then we found the following substances. The Pyobonjoong(the incidental, fundamental, intermediate) theory is applicable to understand the special character and the tendency of the movement change that Meridians possess. But, because the Pyobonjoong(the incidental, fundamental, intermediate) theory can't classify the characteristic difference of the hand and foot meridians, then the principle that can devide the meridians of the hand and foot, must be supplied. The Jungwha(right changing)-Daewha(opposite changing) theory is able to concretely classify the special character of the hand and foot six meridians. And Hwang's Shawha(superintending change)-Jongwha(following change) theory that is base on Jungwha(right changing)-Daewha(opposite changing) theory, is able to classify the special character of the hand and foot six meridians, too. If the concept of the Meridians is understood by the Shawha(superintending change)-Jongwha(following change) theory, the special character of the hand and foot six meridians could be concretely classified and then the meridian of the Bowels and the six atmospheric influence corresponded to the meridians could be expansively explained as the point that take charge and control these special Qi in the human body The Bon-Qi(fundamental Qi) act on the special character of Shawha(superintending change) six meridians and the tendency of the movement change is cause by the insufficiency and excessiveness of the Bon-Qi(fundamental Qi). The Qi of the Shawha(superintending change) meridians act on the special character of Jongwha(following change) six meridians and the tendency of the movement change is cause by the exuberance of Yang and the deficiency of Yang.

  • This study looks at the origin of a wild-ginseng, Korean ginseng, and traces the origin of associated wild-ginseng digging customs back to the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty. These historical customs helped Korea gain control over its wild ginseng resources following Japanese colonization acts, Korea's present-day forest laws, and Korean Civil Law. Prior to Japanese colonial rule in Korea (1910-1945), ginseng digging was a common custom, but Imperial Japan distorted Korea's own legal principles of the public rights of wild-ginseng digging during this colonial period. Distorted legal principles concerning digging customs continued after Korea's liberation from Japanese rule and were maintained until the enforcement of the Korean Civil Law in 1960, when legal principles of the right of common were changed to special servitude. The origin of the right of common can be found in the Sichojang of the Joseon Dynasty. The Sichojang, a place where local residents jointly collected firewood and fed livestock, was the minimum right to life and interest at the time. Since the right of common was the right to life, Imperial Japan attempted to abolish it, but it was never successful. In addition, distorted legal principles have been maintained in present-day forestry-related laws and regulations. Over 75 years since the liberation from Japanese rule in 1945, it is imperative to break away from the distorted legal principles and acknowledge that digging custom rights have changed from common customs to a special servitude under Korean Civil Law. Hence, an organization of wild-ginseng diggers is an unincorporated association, and their wild-ginseng digging customs can be constituted as a special servitude. Hence, their practices should be considered valid under customary law. Through this, it will be possible to clarify the legal nature and grounds for ginseng-related wild-ginseng digging activities, as well as the civil responsibility for the activities of wild-ginseng diggers.
