Relationships among the Service Quality, Service Value, and Customer Satisfaction in a Fine Dining Restaurant (파인다이닝 레스토랑의 서비스 품질이 서비스 가치, 고객 만족에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • This study examined the effects of the service quality of fine dining restaurants on the service value and customer satisfaction by targeting 310 customers with experience in using fine dining restaurants in Seoul. The results of this study are as follows. First, the quality of the physical environment and interactions and the result of fine dining restaurants had positive (+) effects on the service value. Second, the quality of the physical environment and interactions and the result of fine dining restaurants had positive (+) effects on customer satisfaction. Third, the service value had positive (+) effects on customer satisfaction. According to the result of this study, when customers visit fine dining restaurants, evaluations of the service quality, such as interior design, kindness, accessibility, pleasant environment, and good quality of food, are very important elements. The service quality has been verified to be a very important factor when evaluating fine dining restaurants. Overall, the result of this study can be used to develop measures for improving the service quality.

A Study of the Effects of an Apartment Community's Servicescape on Resident Satisfaction and Quality of Life: A Focus on New Hope Town (아파트 커뮤니티의 서비스스케이프가 주거만족 및 삶의 질에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 신혼희망타운을 대상으로)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of physical and social servicescape of apartment community facilities on residential satisfaction and quality of life among newlyweds who have been married for less than 7 years. Methods: In this study, a survey was conducted among 361 Newlywed Hope Town residents who have been married for 7 years or less, and frequency analysis, reliability, validity, and hypothesis testing were conducted using SPSS 22.0. Results: The results of this study are as follows. First, the physical service environment (spatiality, convenience, aesthetics, and comfort) has a significant effect on residential satisfaction. Second, social service landscape (human service, customer similarity, customer suitability) has a significant effect on residential satisfaction. Third, the physical service landscape has a significant effect on quality of life. Fourth, the social service landscape had a significant impact on quality of life. Finally, residential satisfaction has a significant effect on quality of life. Conclusion: This study found that community facilities in Newlywed Hope Town, an apartment complex for newlyweds who have been married for less than seven years, affect residential satisfaction and quality of life in both the physical and social environments. The significance of the study is that the community of the Newlywed Hope Town apartment was approached as a physical environment such as spatial organization and facilities and a social environment of human services, and the relationship between the effects on residential satisfaction and quality of life was examined. In the future, it is necessary to study the effects of communities for young couples such as the Newlywed Hope Town apartment on residential satisfaction and quality of life.

  • Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) is one of several activators that drives the economy of Indonesia because SMEs provide jobs, increase Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and assure the delivery of products and services. However, Indonesian SMEs are not very competitive in the industrial world, and one of the causes is the low quality of products that undermine customer satisfaction. There are several factors presumed as influencing customer satisfaction, which among others include product knowledge, service quality, and competitive advantage. The objective of this research is to reveal the contribution of product knowledge and service quality to customer satisfaction with competitive advantage as the mediation variable. This research used a quantitative approach. The causal relationship across variables was examined with Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The sample of this research involved 140 respondents. Data was collected through a questionnaire and the items in the questionnaire were processed with a software called SmartPLS version 3.3.2. Results of this research indicate (1) product knowledge and service quality can increase competitive advantage and customer satisfaction in East Java SMEs; (2) competitive advantage can act as a mediator in the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction (3) product knowledge can increase customer satisfaction but the increase is not significant statistically.

Measuring the Interaction Effects of Foodservice Qaulity, Value, and Satisfaction on Behavioral Intention of Customers in Tourist Restaurant (관광지 식당 고객의 행동의도에 대한 음식서비스 질, 가치와 만족의 상호작용효과 평가)

  • The purpose of this study was to measure the effects of value and satisfaction moderating the relationship between foodservice quality and behavioral intention. A total of 273 questionnaires were completed. Moderated regression analysis was used to measure the relationships between variables. Results of the study demonstrated that the analysis result for the data also indicated excellent model fit. The main effects of foodservice quality, value, and satisfaction on behavioral intention were statistically significant. The interaction effect of quality and satisfaction on behavioral intention was not statistically significant. The interaction effect of value and satisfaction on behavioral intention was not statistically significant. As expected, the interaction effect of quality and value on behavioral intention was statistically significant. Moreover, foodservice quality on behavioral intention was statistically significant at all levels of value and satisfaction, except for when value level was low, and satisfaction level was high. The results of this study indicated that restaurant marketers should attach importance to the interaction effect of service quality and customer value to understand the elements of market demand and customer loyalty.

Customer Satisfaction and Relationship Marketing according to Service Quality of Men's Character Casual Clothing Brand Stores (남성 캐쥬얼 웨어 점포의 서비스품질에 따른 고객만족과 관계 마케팅)

  • This study had a focus on service quality, customer satisfaction and relationship orientation. The subjects of this study were: 1) to examine the conceptual structure of service quality perceived by males consumers of character clothing brands, 2) to examine of the service quality on customer satisfaction, and 3)to examine relationship between customer satisfaction and relationship orientation. The questionnaire was collected between October, 28 and November, 8 in 2002. Samples of 271 respondents were obtained. The sample consisted of males in their twenties and thirties who had a experience on buying character clothing brands in Seoul. To analyze the data, reliability analysis, percentage, frequency analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were applied. The results were as followings: 1) As a result of factor analysis, the service quality were identified by four dimensions: environmental service, personal service, products service, and promotion service. 2) As a result of correlation analysis and regression analysis, the service quality had a positive influence on customer satisfaction. Especially products service was the most important factor for customer satisfaction, followed by environmental service. 3) As a result of correlation analysis, customer satisfaction had a positive influence on relationship orientation.

The Effect of Service Quality on the Reuse Intention of a Chatbot: Focusing on User Satisfaction, Reliability, and Immersion

  • This study examined the impact of chatbot service quality (process quality, outcome quality, and servicescape quality) on user satisfaction and reliability by identifying the relationships between user satisfaction, reliability, immersion, and the paths of three variables influencing reuse intention. The survey was conducted of Korean users in their teens and 70s who had experience using chatbot services. A total of 218 convenience samples were extracted and the data analyzed. By the IS success and SERVQUAL model, the results of structural equation modeling revealed that the chatbot service quality did not affect user satisfaction and reliability. However, user satisfaction and reliability of the chatbot services were shown to lead to reuse intention, and user satisfaction was shown to affect immersion and immersion in reliability. The results showed that satisfaction, reliability, and immersion in the chatbot services were important factors in the chatbot reuse intention. Through the satisfaction and reliability gained through the service, the users wanted to reuse the chatbot services, especially the chatbot services that gained reliability, which will have a greater impact on reuse intention. We can use these results as marketing information to attract loyal customers by identifying the reuse intention of the chatbot service users.

  • This research seeks to find out how to provide satisfaction to consumers. The aim is to analyze and test empirically the effect of price and sales promotion on customer satisfaction that is mediated by service quality. This study uses primary data; questionnaires are distributed to 100 consumers at the Jingga Project boutique. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. The data were collected using a questionnaire measured by a Likert scale with analysis tools using Warp PLS 7.0. The results showed that the variables price and sales promotion have a positive effect on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, the mediating variable, namely, service quality, is proven to be able to indirectly mediate the effect of price and sales promotion on customer satisfaction. In line with the marketing theory, which states that customer satisfaction is the feeling of pleasure or disappointment of someone who appears after comparing the performance (results) of the product against the expected performance. From the results of this study, it is clear that the variables price and sales promotion significantly affect customer satisfaction, as well as service quality, which is the mediating variable in this study. Service quality indirectly or partially mediate the effect of price on customer satisfaction.

Study on Food Quality of Korean Restaurants, Customer Satisfaction, and Revisit Intentions in Chinese University or College Students - Focused on different awareness of Korean food - (중국유학생의 한식당 음식품질과 고객만족, 재방문의도에 관한 연구 - 한국음식 인지도 차이를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the relationships among food quality, food awareness, customer satisfaction, and revisit intentions of Korean restaurants in Chinese University or College students in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk areas. A questionnaire developed from a literature review included a series of questions about the quality of Korean food, Korean food awareness, customer satisfaction, and revisit intentions. Analysis of the survey data was performed on 234 valid responses. Statistical analyses, including frequencies, factor analysis, reliability analysis and regression, were performed using the SPSS program. The results indicated that food quality perceived by Chinese students had a significant impact on customer satisfaction. On the contrary, food quality according to Korean food awareness by Chinese students did not have a significant impact on customer satisfaction. Further, customer satisfaction had a significant influence on revisit intentions, whereas customer satisfaction according to Korean food awareness did not have a significant effect. In conclusion, food quality is a significant factor in determining the success of the foodservice industry.

A Study on the Customers' Expectation & Satisfaction for Food and Service Quality in Restaurants (외식업체에서 제공되는 음식 및 서비스 품질에 대한 고객의 기대도와 만족도에 관한 연구)

  • This study is to select food offered with higher frequency at restaurants such as hamburger, pizza, chicken, gimbap(boiled rice rolled in laver with seasonings stuffed), and calgooksu(Korean traditional noodles); identify customers' expectation and satisfaction levels on food and service quality and analyze correlation according to each food. The survey was conducted from March 1 to March 24, 2000, by distributing questionnaires. Statistical data analysis was completed using SPSS for t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis. The results of this study were as follows: 1) It is revealed that overall average satisfaction levels on food quality according to individuals' trait came out significantly low compared to their expectation levels, and that balance in nutrition and reasonable prices had problems in relation to food quality. 2) Customers' expectation levels on food quality came out the highest with calgooksu and gimbap, and their satisfaction levels came out the highest with pizza. 3) Customers' overall average expectation levels on service quality showed a very high point, while their satisfaction levels showed a low point with significance. 4) Hamburger was poor in hygiene; pizza showed the highest satisfaction levels over its quality with significance, and calgooksu and gimbap showed very low satisfaction levels over their service quality. 5) Correlation between customers' expectation and satisfaction levels over the nutritional balance and proper taste of the food quality came out significant. 6) Pizza and chicken showed significant correlation with regard to atmosphere, service, and hygiene variables (p<0.01).

Strategies for the Improvement of Customer Satisfaction on Foodservice through Identifying the Foodservice Quality Factors in Senior Care Facilities (노인복지시설의 급식서비스 품질 요소 규명 및 급식서비스 만족도 향상 전략)

  • This study was designed to develop the strategy plans for the customer satisfaction on foodservice in the senior care facilities. For this, we examined the level of the customer satisfaction and foodservice quality. Additionally, the association between service quality, customer satisfaction, and social, psychological, physical factors of the aged were tested. Data from convenience samples from 3 senior care facilities were collected by using a questionnaire. Exploratory factor analyses were completed on 20 attributes for the food and service quality and 7 items for the social and psychological states of the aged, respectively. Cronbach's a was estimated for reliability, and Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis were used for statistical analyses. The level of the satisfaction on foodservice was 4.01 of 5.0. The satisfaction on foodservice did not show the significant differences by gender, education level, BMI, and socio-psychological satisfaction. But the foodservice quality and the satisfaction showed significant difference by income and physical problem, and the goal of life of the eldely, respectively. Multiple regression analyses revealed that the determinants of the customer satisfaction on foodservice were the core quality of product, confidence, professionalism of employees and secondary quality of products. Especially, the kindness of employee is the most important attribute of the foodservice. Based on these results, we can set the strategy plans as follow: (1) the introduction of the foodservice evaluation system (2) the deployment of the event activities for offering fun to the customer (3) the continuous training of employees for ensuring the professional and kind service system, and (4) the introduction of selective menu system and take-out service of menu.
