Analyses of Spectral IP Responses over 20-Degree Dipping Structure (20도 경사구조에 대한 스펙트럴 IP응답의 해석)

  • Spectral induced polarization (IP) responses for 20-degree dipping body are obtained by both numerical and scale models. The IP responses for the dipping body vary not only with current frequencies but also with resistivity ratios between the body and the surrounding medium. If the ion concentration related to polarizable reaction is constant, the resistivity of polarizable body depends only on the current frequency. This implies that the IP responses to the resistivity ratio are qualitatively equivalent to those to the current frequency. The numerical results with wide-range resistivity ratios, therefore, can be used as standard curves for the interpretation of spectral IP data.

Ferroelectirc Properties of Eu-doped PZT Thin Films (Eu 첨가에 따른 PZT 박막의 강유전 특성)

  • Eu-doped lead zirconate titanate(Pb$\sub$1.1/(Zr$\sub$0.6/Ti$\sub$0.4/)O$_3$; PZT) thin films on the Pt/Ti/SiO$_2$/Si substrates prepared by a sol-gel method. The effect on structural and electrical properties of PZT thin films measured according to the Eu content. Eu-doping altered significantly dielectric and ferroelectric properties. The remanent polarization and the coercive field decreased with the increasing Eu content. The dielectric constant and the dielectric loss of PZT thin films decreased with the increasing Eu content. The 0.5 mol% of Eu-doped PZT thin film showed improved fatigue characteristic comparing to the undoped PZT thin film.

  • In this study, PLZT stock solutions were prepared by Sol-Gel processing after the compositions were selected in the memory region of PLZT bulk phase diagram. PLZT solutions were deposited on the ITO glass substrate by spin-coating method. The thin films were annealed by rapid thermal processing. The electric characteristics, hysteresis loop, C-V characteristics of thin films in the memory region were measured in order to investigate the electrical characteristics of PLZT thin films. In selected compositions the decrease in Zr/Ti ratio led to an increase in dielectric constant and the decrease in remanent polarization and coercieve field which brought about slim hysteresis loop.

  • In this paper, PZT(20/80) thick films were fabricated by the screen-printing method. And the PZT(80/20) coating solution was synthesized by the sol-gel method. PZT(20/80) thick films were screen-printed on the alumina substrates. PZT(80/20) thin film was spin-coaled on the PZT(20/80) thick films to obtain densification. And the structural and electrical properties of PZT thick films were investigated with variation of sintering temperature. The PZT specimen sintered at $650^{\circ}C$ showed good relative dielectric constant of 219 and dielectric loss of 2.45%. Also the remanent polarization and the coercive field wore 16.48 ${\mu}C/cm^2$ and 35.48kV/cm, respectively.

Effect of Processing Time on the Microarc Oxidation Coatings Produced on Magnesium AZ61 Alloy at Constant Hybrid Voltage

  • MAO ceramic coatings were prepared on AZ61 magnesium alloy for various processing times ranging from 5 to 60 min, in an electrolyte solution based on silicate-fluoride. The mechanical, electrochemical and, microstructural properties and the phase compositions of the coating layers were investigated. In this work, unlike previous studies, coatings with high amounts of the $Mag_2SiO_4$ phase were formed which contained small amounts of MgO and $MgF_2$ at a processing condition of 30 min. A microstructural analysis revealed that the porosity of the coatings was reduced considerably with an increase in the processing time, together with a change in the pore geometry from an irregular to a spherical shape. Potentiodynamic polarization and mechanical testing results showed that the coatings acquired after a processing time of 30 min were superior to all of the others.

  • Thin film of the (Pb$\_$1-x/La.sub x/)(Zr$\_$0.25/Ti/Sub 0.48/) O$_3$(x=0~13[at%]) were prepared by Sol - Gel method. Multi-layer PLZT thin films were fabricated by spin-coating on Pt/Ti/SiO$_2$/Si substrate. The crystallinity and microstructure of the films were investigated with the sintering condition. At the sintering temperature of of 600[$^{\circ}C$], the perovskite phase was dominat. PLZT(11/52/48)thin films sintered at 600[$^{\circ}C$], 1[hr] had good dielectric constant (1236), dielectric loss (2.2[%]), remanent polarization (1.38[${\mu}$C/$\textrm{cm}^2$] and coercive field(16.86[ kV/cm]) respectively.

  • TiN/Ti is the best buffer layer between PZT thin film and si substrate among the Ti, TiN, ZrN, TiN/Ti, ZrN/Ti. The amorphous PZT films deposited on TiN/Ti buffer layer directly transform into perovskite phase when rapid thermal annealed for 30sec above 55$0^{\circ}C$. As Rapid Thermal Annealing(RTA) temperature increased, the remanent polarization(Pr) and dielectric constant($\varepsilon$r) increased and then showed Pr=21 $\varepsilon$r=593 when rapid thermal annealed 80$0^{\circ}C$ for 30sec. On the contrary the leakage current increased with increasing RTA temperature due to the formation of void made by Pb evaporationand grain cohesion.
