김수근과 김중업 건축의 지역성 구현에 관한 비교 연구 (A Study on the Revealing of Regionality in Kim Su-Keun and Kim Jung-Up's Architecture)

  • Presentation is the way of revealing regionality that is hidden into the inner world. The expression of regionality has to be based on the origin and at the same time created newness as always suitable for the present through combination of 'familiarity' and 'unfamiliarity'. Regionality that has been maintained even under the application modern trends, spirits, technologies and materials should be now disclosed. Creating new forms that reflect regionality is possible only when a keen sense(emotion) always focusing on the essence of the earth works together with foresight(imaginative power) clarifying global pattern changes, under high tensions between both of them. Kim Su-Keun succeeded in reinterpreting traditional spaces, but failed in communicating patterns of life, ultimately revealing stiffness with no tension and no creativity. Kim Jung-Up could not draw out a whole meaning of relations among traditional fragments or relations between them and the present. He only borrowed such fragments from the view of formative art. For 'disclosed abstract', 'familiarity' and 'unfamiliarity' are repeated circularly and cope with pattern changes, continuously creating new forms and showing unity as a complete calmness(rest). In "YangDuk Catholic Church" by Kim Su-Keun provides a simultaneous reactivation of various images through continuous cross-weaving rather than being inclined to either the earth or the world. Based on the technique of 'disclosed abstract', "YangDuk Catholic Church" created a new form and space never seen before.

유상한(類傷寒)의 내력(來歷)과 그 종류(種類)에 대한 소고(小考) (A study on the History of Yusanghan and the Types)

  • Objectives Yusanghan(類傷寒) means disease which chills and fever manifest like Cold damage(傷寒) but not Cold damage. However, study on Yussanghan is insignificant. The purpose of this study is to examine the origin and development process of Yusanghan. Methods: 1. Terms and disease related with Yusanghan was collected from books covering Cold damage of all time and analyzed. 2. The transition history was researched by analyzing collected terms. 3. Total appearance frequency of all time by collected disease was researched. Results: Yusanghan was appeared in Hwalinseo(活人書), which Ju Geong(朱肱) of the Song Dynasty wrote, for the first time and the definition and type were established. For the types of those, there are four diseases such as Phlegm-Fluid Retention(痰飮), Food Accumulation(食積), Vexation of Deficiency Type(虛煩), Beriberi(脚氣). Since then, the theory about Yusanghan had developed and the number of types had also increased until the Myung Dynasty. Conclusions: In early days, External Contraction Diseases(外感病) was not included in Yusanghan, but since the late Myung Dynasty, there were a lot of doctors who included External Contraction Diseases in Yusanghan, not in Cold damage. There are Summerheat Stroke, Wind-Dampness(風濕), and Warm Disease(溫病) etc. for included External Contraction Diseases. Because of this, the number of types of Yusanhan had significantly increased.

18세기 '중국풍 정원(Anglo-Chinese garden)'의 문화전이에 관하여 (A Transcultural Reflection on Anglo-Chinese Gardens in the 18th Century)

  • The tradition of the representative art style in the Sinosphere, Shanshui hua, expresses the traditional representation of the harmony and principle of the universe. This tradition is reflected in the Chinese garden. These Chinese gardens were precisely the three-dimension representations of Shanshui hua, a visual form of abstract expression of the oriental philosophical thinking. This research determines and draws attention to the vestiges of the reflection of Shanshui hua in the European gardens through visual art and culture. It will also approach the two subjects, Shanshui hua and garden, from a transcultural view to integrally analyze visual art. The appearance of Anglo-Chinese gardens, reflecting Shanshui hua, foreshowed a big change in traditional European gardens. This is a concrete example of the transcultural phenomenon. This has formed the typical naturally curved English gardens in the gardening history. This also divided these English gardens completely from the symmetrical, geometrical French gardens. This study considers the influence and the reverberation of Shanshui hua reflected on European gardens in the European culture. The cultural exchange of European and Chinese styles in the 18th century left an impact on the European gardening style history. Finally, this study analyzes the origin of these Anglo-Chinese gardens and its content to approach it with a transcultural view as a research methodology.

'ㅁ'자형(字形) 중층요사(重層寮舍)의 건축특성(建築特性)에 관한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Architectural characteristics of the ㅁ-shaped Yo-Sa with two stories)

  • This study is on architectural characteristics of the existing ㅁ-shaped Yo-Sa with two stories in Buddhist temple. The Yo-Sa has had the function of space for not only monasticism but also living of buddhist priests and been one of the important spaces in Buddhist temple from the beginning of it. The Yo-Sa with two stories appeared mostly in the later Chosun Dynasty, so the origin of the Yo-Sa with two stories is thought that it might relate to the circumstances of temples in the later Chosun Dynasty. Having got in the period of Chosun Dynasty, Buddhism lost the power that he has enjoyed since Korea Dynasty was established and the economic power of temples as well. Because of a change for the worse, the Buddhist priests should manage with reduced income and combine many buildings with various functions into a singular to overcome their circumstances. Therefore a waekened economic power might be a primary factor which urged to change form of Yo-Sa from one-storied to two-storied. The ㅁ-shaped Yo-Sa with two stories have the Dae-Bang-Chae for worship, Seung-Bang for Buddhist's living room in the bottom floor and garnering spaces to store up the agricultural produce, miscellaneous article, etc in the top floor. The composition methods depend on the condition of the lay of land, intentional design, and so on. Therefore, the ㅁ-shped Yo-Sa with two stories shows the diversity of space composition and architectural characteristics.

보길도 하천석실(河川石室) 영역의 복원적 고찰 (A study on the Restoration of Docheonseoksil in Bogildo)

  • Bogildo is Byel-Seo architecture from the Joseon dynasty period. There were ruins in Nakseojae, Goksudang, Seyeonjeong and Docheonseoksil. Docheonseoksil had been protected as Scenic Site No.34. A pond, a stone embankment, a stone stairway was discovered during repair and restoration of the site. Also, a site with ondol was discovered in 2007. The literatures to know Docheonseoksil is Gosanyugo, Buyongdongpalgyeong, Bogildoji. These are important sources of data to know the original of Docheonseoksil at the moment. Accordingly we will search the original of Docheonseoksil to systematicly study the excavation report and literature now. Then the restoration of Huihwangkyo and the building site with ondol will be studied through th literatures and excavation report for an architectural point of view. Also, the location of the stone gate remaining in Docheonseoksil and the approach way to it will be studied. The translation of the literatures are referred translated books, found with help from professor. This thesis is a step to knowing the original. If Docheonseoksil is studied, we can know more of its origin.

Evolutionary history of the monospecific Compsopogon genus (Compsopogonales, Rhodophyta)

  • Compsopogon specimens collected in China were examined based on morphology and DNA sequences. Five molecular markers from different genome compartments including rbcL, COI, 18S rDNA, psbA, and UPA were identified and used to construct a phylogenetic relationship. Phylogenetic analyses indicated that two different morphological types from China clustered into an independent clade with Compsopogon specimens when compared to other global samples. The Compsopogon clade exhibited robust support values, revealing the affiliation of the samples to Compsopogon caeruleus. Although the samples were distributed in a close geographical area, unexpected sequence divergences between the Chinese samples implied that they were introduced by different dispersal events and from varied origins. It was speculated that Compsopogon originated in North America, a portion of the Laurentia landmass situated in the Rodinia supercontinent at approximately 573.89-1,701.50 million years ago during the Proterozoic era.Although Compsopogonhad evolved for a rather long time, genetic conservation had limited its variability and rate of evolution, resulting in the current monospecific global distribution. Additional global specimens and sequence information were required to increase our understanding of the evolutionary history of this ancient red algal lineage.

수암 권상하의 심성론 (Gwon Sangha's Theory of Mind-Nature)

  • 호락논쟁(湖洛論爭)에 관한 선행 연구는 오상논변 미발논변 등을 중심으로 상당한 성과를 이루었다. 이러한 일련의 연구 성과 속에서 권상하의 철학사상은 비교의 차원으로 함께 다루어지고 있으며, 그 과정에서 그의 철학사상의 면모는 거의 드러난 것으로 보인다. 그러나 그를 중심으로 하는 개별연구가 아닌 관계로, 어떤 점이 호학(湖學)[호론(湖論)]의 선하(先河)로서의 그의 철학사상의 한국유학사상사적 위상인지 명확하게 파악하기는 어렵다. 이에 본고에서는 "한수재집(?水齋集)"에 나타난 심성(心性)의 개념 이해를 중심으로 권상하(權尙夏)의 심성론(心性論)을 검토하면서, 호학[호론] 형성의 선하(先河)로서의 그 사상사적 위치를 짚어보았다. 권상하는 호락논쟁이 본격화된 1709년 이전에, 기질지성(氣質之性) 내에서 본연지성(本然之性)[성선(性善)]을 확보할 수 있다는 일성(一性) 이해를 바탕으로 한, 오상편전(五常偏全)의 인물성상이(人物性相異)로 그의 입장을 이미 정리하고 있었으며, 호학[호론]의 학자들은 이러한 영향아래 자신들의 사유를 형성하고 호락논쟁 과정에서 오상편전(五常偏全)[인물성상이(人物性相異)]을 주장하였다. 권상하는 성(性)을 중심으로 한 심성일물(心性一物)의 관점에서 허령(虛靈)한 심(心)의 주재성(主宰性)을 인정하지 않았다. 이것이 제자 한원진(韓元震)과 윤봉구(尹鳳九)가 말한 '심성이기(心性二岐)의 의논과 의혹을 종식시키고 평정한 공(功)'이며, 한원진이 말한 '성선(性善)의 필연을 밝힌 공(功)'이다. 이 논리 역시 호락논쟁이 본격화되기 전에 이미 정립되어 있었으며, 호학[호론]의 학자들은 이러한 영향아래 자신들의 사유를 형성하고 호락논쟁 과정에서 기부용사(氣不用事)[미발기질유선악(未發氣質有善惡)]를 주장하였다.

운주사 원형석탑의 시원과 의미 (Origin and meaning of Circular stone Pagoda in Unjusa Temple)

  • There are lots of and kinds of stone pagoda and stone Buddhas at Unjusa Temple in Hwasun, Jeonnam, which is thus called as Cheontap(千塔) or Cheonbul.(千佛) Several archaeological excavations have been conducted in Unjusa though, the foundation purpose or background motivation is yet wrapped in mystery. Circular shape is representative pagoda of Unjusa made of round frame or spherical roof but circular stone pagoda is unusual that there is no similar example found in India or China as well as in Korea. Located in the symbolic center, Circular stone pagoda is a key to understand Unjusa. Yundeung(輪燈) is made of stone for circular stone pagoda and there are craft lamp and large lamp. The large lamp, for the palace courtyard on the occasion of Palgwanhoe,(八關會) consists of discs and light on each disc. Outdoor lamp of circular stone pagoda made of stone for permanent preservation purpose. Unjusa is a very special temple with stone-yundeung for circular stone pagoda. In this study, a circular stone pagoda that is the source of yundeung said. Unjusa circular stone pagoda next to the title of 'yundeung pagoda' and proposes to call.

몽의학의 학파와 특징 (Currents in Mongolian Medicine)

  • Traditional medicine in Asian countries show similarity according to geography, building up their own medical tradition upon indigenous cultural background. Mongolian medicine, in particular, displays district fusion of several medical systems accepted from neighboring countries adding to their traditional system. Those are Mongol Dhom medicine, acupuncture and moxibustion medicine, medicine of "Four Medical Tantras (四部醫典)", and combined system of Mongolian and biomedicine. Compared to East asian medicine, this is a different kind of diversity or hybridity resulting from idiosyncrasy of nomadic culture. Each current of Mongolian medical tradition has its own origin of historical backdrop. Mongol Dhom originated from ancient nomadic life, and medicine of "Four Medical Tantras (四部醫典)" was formed along with transmission of Tibetan Buddhism. Acupuncture and moxibustion is directly related to Chinese medical tradition, however, moxibustion is also referred to be regional origination. Lastly, biomedicine was transplanted during the modernization era, encouraging scientific approach toward Mongolian traditional medicine and producing combined medical practice. It is effective to derive each particular aspects of Mongolian medicine and analyze its specificity, in order to properly understand current Mongolian medical system. This paper aims at discovering socio-cultural meanings of each current and their nomadic feature beneath the diversity.

  • 군환의 특별한 부분환으로 정의된 수어환(Schur ring)은 치환군의 구조 연구를 위해 1933년 I.Schur에 의해 소개되었다. 그 후 30여 년 동안 군론과 표현론에서 응용되던 수어환은 1970년대에 이르러 획기적인 분기점을 맞이하게 된다. 조합론, 특별히 대수적 그래프에 관한 많은 연구 속에서, 그래프를 분류하기위해 수어환을 이용하려는 새로운 시도가 Klin과 Poschel에 의해 제안되었다. 이것은 당시 대수학에서 이룩해낸 유한단순군의 분류에 큰 도움을 받은 것이다. 이 논문에서는 수어환의 발생에 대한 역사적 배경과, 수어환이 군이론에서 어떻게 이용되었는지를 살펴보고, 또한 그래프이론에서의 역할을 조사한다.
