In this study 240 geriatric patients, aged 60 year and over were evaluated using a questionnaire and oral examination for their oral status, demand and satisfaction of prosthesis treatment. 1. The single main complaint was regarding from the existing removable prosthesis. When the complaints were catagorized into larger groups, complaints regarding existing prosthesis were 32% and followed by 30% in caries and endodontic problems. 2. DMFT index woman appeared the man the age when will increase more highly recording where highly and considered statistically. 3. According to the result from questionnaire, 48% of patients wearing removable prosthesis and 43% with fixed prosthesis were not satisfied with existing prosthesis. Thirty-seven percentages of patients were not satisfied with aesthetics and unable to chew food properly. 4. Thirty-nine percentage of patients were wearing removable prosthesis. More complete dentures were found on maxilla and partial dentures on mandible. 5. Seventy-seven percentage of patients requested for new prosthesis and the majority of these patients had complaints of difficulties in chewing and discomfort.

Four new dammarnae-glycosides named ginsenosides Rgs, Rh4, RsB and Rf2 have been isolated 1'rom Korean red ginseng, the root of Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer (Araliaceae) and their chemical structures have been elucidated by chemical and spectroscopic methods, including'H-'H COSY, HMQC, HMBC, NOESY, as 3-0- [$\beta$-D-glucopyranosyl(1 ~2)-$\beta$-D-glucopyranosyl] dammar-20(22) , B4-diene-3P,12P-diol (ginsenoside Rgs),6-0-$\beta$-D-glucopyranosyl-dammar-20(22),24-diene-3P,6P, 12P-triol (ginsenoside Rh4),3-0- [6" -0-acetyl-D-glucopyranosyl(1 ~2)--D-glucopyranosyl] 20(5)- protopanaxadiol (ginsenoside Rs3) and 6-0- [u-L-rhamno-pyranosyl(1 ~2)-$\beta$-D-glucopyranosyl] dammarane -3$\beta$, 6a, 12 $\beta$, 20(R),25-pentol(ginsenoslde Rfa). The absolute stereo structure of a double bond at C-20(22) was determined as entgegen type by applying NOESY.OESY.

The purpose of this study is to analyse the discourses about modem motherhood in Western und Korean society in order to find a new basis for the family policy. The general view that motherhood is merely natural ceased to be valid since the early 1980ties. Nowadays one is rather inclined to define motherhood as a social, cultural and historical fact which goes far beyond the biological dimensions. The concept of motherhood which has been useful to fulfil the industralisation in the modem times cannot be applied to the changed world of our times. The family policy which is closely connected with women must not start from the modem motherhood ideology but from the context of the changed life of woman in our times. I hope that this study could contribute to stimulating the discourse about the family policy which takes into consideration the changed living conditions.

The purpose of this article is to take a look into the past twenty years and to evaluate the changes in the organization of the library and the information function during this time period. Academic and special libraries are the ones that have made an impressive progress and innovations to keep pace with a changing environment. New technologies and ideas have brought strong supporters of offering various specialized information services to the library users. The different approaches and experiments to better perform this professional role in the library and in turn, the efforts in the educational institutions to meet the challenges were reviewed through the literature. Much of the literature available regarding the reference and information function deals mainly with the trends in the u. s. libraries. The implications of these trends to Korean libraries and library education are sought in view of our social, economic, and educational circumstances as well as our user behavior.

The aged population increasing rapidly, the population rate of over 65 years old was over 7.5% in 2000 in Korea and it means that Korea is aging society. Increasing participation of woman in public affairs, becoming a nuclear family and increasing old aged people who want to stand alone brought about more the old households. But the aged welfare accommodation are still insufficient and more facilities accommodating the aged should be built. 80.5% of people according to poll by the Ministry of Health and Welfare responded the support of the aged is a serious problem in Korea. This result indicates the reality that the system for the aged are unsatisfied. Although these situations made a new concept of 'silver-town' of the welfare facility for the aged, it is under a transition in the aspect of the social system and the architectural aspect as well. This study will select good examples among facilities in the metropolitan area, analysis space and propose resonable program.

As a designer, Rei Kawakubo had become one of the most influential woman of the 20th century. Comme des Garçons, which means "like boys"-what women in the early 1980s were least supposed to be-expressed criticism of the prevailing social construct of women and, importantly, of the very concept of fashion. The press had a field day with the so-called post Hiroshima look, with its aesthetic of destruction, poverty, and hunger and with its depressing mood engendered by the use of the color black. This research divided the change of design transition on Kawakubo's fashion by the three categories. The first category was experimental pattern, the second category was esthetics of omission and the third category was innovation of body consciousness. The costume messages through these design works of Kawakubo could summarize 5 items, punk sprit, beyond sex, reality, proposal of new body consciousness and representation of black.

The rise and fall of social research methods rely on how much a certain method is able to appropriately reflect the change of society. The present research proposes new mobile surveying methods, considering the current and future trends in Korea. In particular, this research focuses on environmental pressure (time constraints, the presence of others and the place) as one of the major factors influencing the effects of survey modes. For example, landline surveys are conducted in the respondent's home, which is a private and fixed space. On the other hand, surveys on mobile phones can be conducted in diverse places with other people around. After sampling 500 landline respondents and 500 mobile phone respondents using a quota method, the same questionnaire was used for both the mobile and landline interviews. The findings are generally consistent with the literature supporting the data quality and comparability of the mixed mode survey. These results are encouraging for researchers designing surveys that feature mobile phone data collection.

The purpose of this paper is to suggest that the prominence of Haldane's explanation for enzyme catalysis significantly hinders investigations in understanding enzyme structure and function. This occurs despite the existence of much evidence that the Haldane model cannot embrace. Some of the evidence, in fact, disproves the model. A brief history of the explanation of enzyme catalysis is presented. The currently accepted view of enzyme catalysis -- the Haldane model -- is examined in terms of its strengths and weaknesses. An alternate model for general enzyme catalysis (the Shifting Specificity model) is reintroduced and an assessment of why it may be superior to the Haldane model is presented. Finally, it is proposed that a re-examination of many current aspects in enzyme structure and function (specifically, protein folding, x-ray and NMR structure analyses, enzyme stability curves, enzyme mimics, catalytic antibodies, and the loose packing of enzyme folded forms) in terms of the new model may offer crucial insights.

To explain the performance gap between firms in the same industry, this study focuses on innovation. It provides a new framework using the dynamic-capability view based on empirical analysis of domestic businesses. The findings of this study are as follows: First, when the uncertainty and competition intensity in the business environment and the level of innovation have “fit”, it means that when the former goes up, so does the latter. In this regard, when the innovation capability of a firm is high, being “fit” means that the level of innovation is also high. When there was fitting innovation on industrial environment and innovation capacity, companies were able to achieve relatively high performance. Also, it was confirmed that instead of innovation for innovation capacity, innovation for industrial environment led to relatively higher performances of firms.

In 1990's, many collections, showing trends of restoration, took the hippie fashion as their main theme. Therefore, this study investigates the aspects of the hippie trend focusing on style, materials, colors shown in Mlan Collection, New York Collection, London Collection, Paris Collection, Tokyo Woman's Collection, and street fashions. 1. In style, the collections and street fashions exhibited layered look. 2. In materials, natural fibers were preferred s in 1960's . 3. In colors, natural hues such as black, white, and brown were primarily used, whereas vivid colors were used as accent. 4. In patterns, floral patterns were most extensively used as the flower is the symbol of Hippie. Animal patterns were also used. 5. In accessories, the Indian bred, a symbolic accessory of Hippie, was used with various materials. The hippie fashion in 1990's appeared not s a total fashion, but as an ancillary associate has the role of accentuation like hair-style, make-up, acessaries, etc.
