The purpose of this study are to analyze the images of‘home life’through the goals of 1st-6th secondary Home Economics education curriculums and to identify the images of ‘home life’held by undergraduate students(83). As results, in the goals of 1st-6th secondary Home Economics education curriculums, 1) the term of ‘home life’is used most frequently, and ‘home life’is confused with ‘daily life’. 2) ‘Home life’is used directly or expressed with clothing life, food life, shelter life, consumer life, etc. in the curriculum goals. 3) ‘Home life’is dealt differently with ‘family life’. 4) The image of “home life”has showed traditional sex role identification. In the replies of undergraduate students, the images are classified with following：1) the images of ‘home’were expressed warmth(hearth), relexation(ease or comfort), sharing, basic unit of society, and conflict and oppression. 2) The images of ‘home life’were expressed hearth, sharing, conflict(interaction), relexation(ease or comfort or sability), routine(act or household art), basic unit(shelter), responsibility and obligation, and reproduction(biological meaning). 3) The images of ‘daily life’were expressed routine(simplicity of boring or routine acts), comfort(stability), oppression, diverse activities in everyday, human relationship, and social life.

Sarang is a man's living space or quarter for the heir and his eldest son who would succeed and a hosting place for male vistor. The purpose of this study is to extract the Sarang space terminology described in the 17 Korean novels and find its meaning by comprehending whole paragraph. The major findings were summerized as follows; 1. Among the Sarang space terminology, Sarang meant either 'Sarangchae' or 'Sarangbang'. Its exact meaning could be understood by comprehending whole paragraph. 2. Regarding to the size of Sarang space terminology, there were two kinds. One was clearly quantified terminology such as 'two kans Sarangbang' and 'One and half kans Sarang'. The other was vaguely quantified teminology such as 'large Sarang' and 'small Sarang'. 3. Regarding to the location of Sarang space terminology, 'upper Sarang and lower Sarang'. 'inner Sarang and outer Sarang', 'fore Sarang and back Sarang' were found to be used. 4. Regarding to the user of Sarang space terminology, it was for male mainly. However since 1930, some of female were also described as a user in the Korean novels.

The computer was only used to calculate and solve the mathematical problems, to send the simple data, and to exchange the text based informations in the early 1990's. But nowadays, computer technology give us the chance to exchange digital goods and services, etc. And more, computer and computer based systems can be applied everywhere, for example, it can be used at office, at home, and at school. Most of all, one of the remarkable changes is the development of mobile industry, which can be applied anywhere and anytime. So, this study focused on the current situation and promotion plans of the mobile industry. Mobile is based on the IT, IT and mobile technology are the foundation stone of ubiquitous computing environments. Accordingly, this thesis analysis the meaning of ubiquitous, the meaning and roll of mobile industry. With the analysis of this, the conclusion is that to develop and success the new business model at home and overseas, the cooperation of government section and industry section is the most import thing to make it out.

The purpose of study is to survey the system of the Korean Gangsin-mu shaman costume and its formative character and to fine out the traditional follow patterns of government officials' attires and Po's meaning of it. The overall shape of variety 'Po's in modern times are similar to the traditional ones, but they differ greatly in size, detail color, and ornamental design. The sleeves have slits in the armholes, which can allow the hands to be drawn out easily. In addition, the knot buttons are used in the modern costumes. They are based on different formation skills from those of the traditional The original color of the shaman's costume is not their taste in color but symbolic, modern costumes color show the shaman's taste in color. This change mean a more accentuated visual effect than incantatory meaning. Another reason for color change is also the costume's material. A kind of constituent element uses synthetic fiber in modern times.

The aims of this study show the purpose of writing[Ka-ryae] and its transmission and operation from the end of Koryo to Chosun dynasty. And Studying of a traditional marriage ceremony as shown in [Ka-ryae], We intend to find a mental meaning and value in it. The major findings this study are as follows. 1. Though [Ka-ryae] was written by Chu-Ja who lived in the period of South-Song of China, it had greatly influenced the thought, system and life of Korean society from the end of Koryo to Chosun dynasty. 2. Studying the content of [Ka-ryae], we learned the respect, discretion and reghtness as the mental meaning and value of a marriage ceremony.

The value of housewife occupation is likely to be underestimated because of its invisibility and myth. This study was performed to investigate social meaning of housewife occupation in the modern society using concept of psychological benefit and cost of full-time housewife. Subjectively even if housewife occupation was perceived as benefit in some aspects full-time housewife was not considered as favorable status but as costly one compared to employed housewife. The perceptions of benefit and cost of housewife occupation were different from some characteristics of housewife and related to the content of works. Finally the estimation of housewife occupation was more influenced by psychological variables rather than conditions and situations of housewife. these results suggested that psychological meaning of housewife occupation is important to understand issues related to the housewife.

Service-Learning pedagogy includes community service and reflection as main components. Students can learn integration and application of knowledge beyond specific fields through experiences and reflection. The purpose of family and Consumer Sciences Education is related to connect theory and practice to improve individual, family, and community life. The curriculum focuses not only on content mastery in subjects, but also application of that knowledge to the real lives of students. Considering the purpose of service-learning as integration and application of knowledge, service- learning pedagogy can contribute to rethink family and Consumer Sciences Education. Reflection as a key component is examined for service-learning pedagogy. Exploring a deeper meaning of reflection in aspects of community connection, critical thinking, and transformative learning would extend the value of it and provide implications for implementing reflection in service-learning pedagogy in Family and Consumer Sciences Education.

These days, the lifestyle of staycation, a holiday in which an individual or family stays and relaxes at home, or possibly taking day trips to local parks and museums and so on, has increased. For this reason, the market of loungewear has expanded and the meaning of it has developed as a separate home-wear. According to the reflection of this trend, various kinds of loungewear are sold from the internal and external brands; however, most of these loungewears are home-wear and have a training look where esthetic designs are needed. This study is done to benefit those who prefer organic products, known as LOHAS trend. In addition, we developed the loungewear fashion design products, which reflect the LOHAS trend that uses organic cotton for the S/S collection of 2012. The formation of space between body and textile by pleats in these designs on pants, skirts, tops, sleeves, capes connote the meaning of loungewear that give the wearers comfort. As a result of this study, we have reached these final conclusions. First, loungewear is suitable for featuring the human body structure. Second, organic costumes can be preferable and become superior if it combines both functional and aesthetic appreciations. Third, eco-costumes can become more of a formal wear as eco-design achieves qualitative improvement.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the perceptional transition of housework from the ancient society to the modern society. In the ancient society, there was no difference in the meaning between domestic life and housework, it was thought that they were whole unity. In the medieval society, there was a beginning to differenciate the meaning between domestic life and housework, but there was no actual division between the one and the other. But in the modern society, it is thought that domestic life and housework is not only differenciated in concept, but also divided actually.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the positive effect of family leisure in human life. We adopted ecological-system approach, theory of structure to family life and analyzed meaning of leisure through the interdisplinary approaches. Family leisure has not only positive effect on home but also it’s subsystem. Consequently, family leisure as vital power of living contributes to the advancement of life quality.
