The Three-step Intermixed Iteration for Two Finite Families of Nonlinear Mappings in a Hilbert Space

  • In this work, the three-step intermixed iteration for two finite families of nonlinear mappings is introduced. We prove a strong convergence theorem for approximating a common fixed point of a strict pseudo-contraction and strictly pseudononspreading mapping in a Hilbert space. Some additional results are obtained. Finally, a numerical example in a space of real numbers is also given and illustrated.

  • This paper presents the development of the surface profile sensing system (SPSS) and its application to analysis of road surface. The SPSS which can robustly reconstruct the road input profiles from the intermixed data with the vehicle's dynamic motion, is implemented using the multi-sensor system with the optimally shaped transfer function. The performance of this system is evaluated by a series of experimental works in the devised simulator. And a real car test equipped with the proposed system is performed in the proving ground over both deterministic and random road surfaces. Finally, a feasibility of the system is investigated considering the road model.

Vibration Control of Vehicle using Road Profile Information (외란 형상 정보를 활용한 진동제어)

  • In this study, based on the RPS algorithm, the application results to an electrically controlled suspension system using previewed road information are presented. Reducing the excessive vibration induced by a disturbance transmitted to the system and secure its stability is a major issue. In particular, in the automotive industry, the demand is constantly being raised. A typical external disturbance causing vibration and instability of a vehicle is an irregular roadway surface that contacts a running vehicle tire. Therefore, obtaining such profile information is an important process. The RPS algorithm using a multi sensor system was constructed and implemented in a real car. Through experimental work using the RPS system included non-contact type optical sensors, it could robustly reconstruct the road input profiles from the intermixed data onto the vehicle's dynamic motion while traveling at an uneven roadway surface. A controller with a preview control was designed in the framework of a semi-active suspension system based on the 7 degrees of freedom full vehicle model. The control performance of the system was evaluated through simulations and the results were compared with the passive vehicle condition. These results highlight the feasibility of the presented control frame.

A Study on Pointillistic Rendering Based on User Defined Palette (사용자 정의 팔레트에 기반한 점묘화 렌더링에 관한 연구)

  • The French neo-impressionist painter, George Seurat, introduced pointillism under the theory that the individual pigments of colors on the canvas are reconstructed on the human retina. Pointillism is a painting technique in which many small brush strokes are combined to form a picture in the canvas. When such a painting is seen from a far, the individual stroke color are unnoticeable and they are seen as intermixed colors. This is called juxtaposed color mixture. In this paper, we present a painterly rendering method for generating the pointillism images. For expressing countless separate dots which shown in the pointillism works, we propose a hierarchical points structure using Wang The method. Also a user defined palette is constructed based on the usage that Neo-Impressionist painter works on his palette. Lastly, based on this, a probability algorithm will be introduced, which divides the colors in the image(sampled by hierarchical point structure) into juxtaposed colors. A hierarchical points set which undergone juxtaposed color division algorithm is converted into brush strokes.
