  • CNC machine tool is assembled by central processor, PLC(Programmable Logic Controller), and actuator. The sequential control of machine generally controlled by a PLC. The main fault occured at PLC in 3 control parts. In LC faults, operational fault is charged over 70%. This paper describes diagnosis model and data processing for remote monitoring and diagnosis system in machine tools with open architecture controller. Two diagnostic models based on the ladder diagram. Logical Diagnosis Model(LDM), Sequential Diagnosis Model(SDM), are proposed. Data processing structure is proposed ST(Structured Text) based on IEC1131-3. The faults from CNC are received message form open architecture controller and faults from PLC are gathered by sequential data.. To do this, CNC and PLC's logical and sequential data is constructed database.

  • In this study, the effects of oxide layer formed on the contact parts of TiN coated ball and steel disk in sliding are investigated. Also wear mechanism to form the oxide layer and the characteristics of the oxide layer formation are investigated. AIS152100 steel ball is used for the substrate of coated ball specimens. Two types of coated ball specimens were prepared by depositing TiN coating with 1 and 4um in coating thickness. AISI1045 steel is used for the disk type counter-body. To investigate the effect of oxide layer on the contact parts of the two materials, the tests were performed both in ambient for forming oxide layer on the contact parts and in nitride environment to avoid oxidation. And to study the effects of surface roughness of counter-body, TiN coating thickness and contact load of sliding test on the characteristics of oxide layer formation on counter-body, various tests were carried out. From the results, the friction characteristics between the two materials was predominated by iron oxide layer that formed on wear track on counter-body and this layer caused the high friction. And the formation rate of the oxide layer on wear track increased as the real contact area between the two materials increased as the contact load increased, the TiN coating thickness decreased and the surface of counter-body smoothened.

  • Lyman break Galaxies are galaxies selected in the rest-frame ultraviolet. But, one important and missing information for these Lyman break galaxies is the amount of dust attenuation. This is crucial to estimate the total star formation rate of this class of objects and, ultimately, the cosmic star formation density. AKARI, Spitzer and Herschel are therefore the major facilities that could provide us with this information. As part of the Herschel Multi-tiered Extragalactic Survey, we have began investigating the rest-frame far-infrared properties of a sample of more than 4,800 Lyman Break Galaxies in the GOODS-North fiels. Most LBGs are not detected individually, but we do detect a sub-sample of 12 objects at 0.7 < z <1.6 and one object at z = 2.0. The ones detected by Herschel SPIRE have redder observed NUV-U and U-R colors than the others, while the undetected ones have colors consistent with average LBGs at z > 2.5. We have analysed their UV-to-FIR spectral energy distributions using the code cigale to estimate their physical parameters. We find that LBGs detected by SPIRE are high mass, luminous infrared galaxies. They also appear to be located in a triangle-shaped region in the $A_{FUV}$ vs. $logL_{FUV}$ diagram limited by $A_{FUV}$ = 0 at the bottom and by a diagonal following the temporal evolution of the most massive galaxies from the bottom-right to the top-left of the diagram. In a second step, we move to the larger COSMOS field where we have been able to detect 80 Lyman break galaxies (out of ~ 15,600) in the far infrared. They form the largest sample of Lyman break galaxies at z > 2.5 detected in the far-infrared. We tentatively name them Submillimeter Lyman break galaxies (S-LBGs).

  • Petrological studies were performed on the Sanbangsan lava dome, located in the southwest of Jeju Island Volcanic Field. According to the lava ejection method, it is 'an internal primitive form' that is gradually pushed up and expanded by continuous magma injection from the bottom to the top of the vent and it corresponds to the 'low lava dome'. The rocks are partly plotted in the field of benmoreite, but mostly plotted in the field of trachyte of the Cox et al.(1979) classification diagram, and also mainly plotted in the field of trachyte of Le Maitre et al.(2002) and Zr/TiO2-Nb/Y classification diagram. Therefore, the expression that described the rock of Sanbangsan lava dome as 'trachy-andesite' should be corrected to 'trachyte'. The volcanic rocks that consists in the Sanbangsan lava dome are trachyte containing normative quartz and shows differentiation trend in the range of 59.75-63.46 wt.% SiO2.

  • 1. Solubility diagram was used to estimate Chemical form of the Soil phosphates which supply phosphorus into soil solutions under submerged condition with soils originated from granite and basalt rocks. The granite origin soils with different amounts of available phosphorus have no effect of phosphate application on rice yield, while the basalt origin soil has the big effect. 2. Almost same pattern of change in pH and concentrations of phosphorus and cations in the soil solutions during the submerging period was. shown. Almost no difference in the values was recognized between NPK and NK treatments of the granite origin soils, but the difference of the basalt origin soil was recognized. 3. it was estimated from solubility diagram that phosphorus concentration in the soil solutions was governed by phosphate applied and variscite in the soils for the early stage of submerging period, and then it became to be governed by vivianite in the soils.

  • Ibuprofen (IBU), is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, removal of fever and mild to moderate pain. Because of small dosage and very low accumulation in the body, IBU has been used to heal children's fever. However, IBU was very low solubility in a low pH and water (in water $0.03{\sim}2.5$ mg/ml). A nanoemulsion containing IBU by means of self-microemulsion drug delver system (SMEDDS) was prepared in order to enhance the solubility of IBU. The SMEDDS was composed of cosurfactant, oil and surfactant The solubility of IBU in various components such as cosurfactant, oil and surfactant was examined. $Carbitol^{\circledR}\;(386.99{\pm}20.5\;mg/ml)$ as a cosurfactant, $Labrafil^{\circledR}$ M1944CS $(90.16{\pm}1.60mg/ml)$ as an oil and $Cremopher^{\circledR}$ RH-40 $(239.01{\pm}2.8\;mg/ml)$ as a surfactant were used in this study for preparing SMEDDS. Optimized formulation of SMEDDS was obtained by phase diagram which express the section of nanoemulsion formation. The SMEDDS containing IBU had higher dissolution rate than conventional IBU sirups. Thus the SMEDDS was a potential candidate of stable conventional and effective oral dosage form for IBU.

  • This paper looked into the structure of and changes in the building process of Gijang mountain fortress and its receiving reservoir by analyzing data from an excavation investigation. The structure of the receiving reservoir may be classified into a flat form, stone sheath, floor facility, wall facility, and entry and exit facility. The flat form of the Gijang mountain fortress and receiving reservoir is round. Concerning the sectional form, the wall was obliquely excavated in the trapezoid. As a stone sheath building method, it was built by undertaking a range work of oblong stone materials in a clockwise direction on a stamped soil floor. Then, it was treated with stamping using double layers of gray clay and yellowish brown clay on the floor and the wall. Also, in a space between the stamped layers on the floor, herbal plants and a straw mat were laid for waterproofing as well as to prevent sinking. As an entry and exit facility, two facilities were confirmed symmetrically in the southeast and in the northwest. It is believed that they were built additionally during rebuilding after the initial construction. The building process was revealed to have been carried out in 8 stages. Given the structure and excavated remains, the building period is estimated to be the early to mid 7th century for the initial building, the later 9th to 11th centuries for the primary rebuilding, and the later 16th to early 17th centuries for the secondary rebuilding.

  • BVR CCD observations of GW Cep were made on 15 nights in November through December 2008 with a 1-m reflector at the Jincheon station of the Chungbuk National University Observatory. Nineteen new times of minimum lights for GW Cep were determined and added to a collection of all other times of minima available to us. These data were then intensively analyzed, by reference to an O-C diagram, to deduce the general form of period variation for GW Cep. It was found that the O-C diagram could be interpreted as presenting two different forms of period change: an exclusively quasi-sinusoidal change with a period of 32.6 years and an eccentricity of 0.10; and a quasi-sinusoidal change with a period of 46.2 years and an eccentricity of 0.36 superposed on an upward parabola. Although a final conclusion is somewhat premature at present, the latter seems more plausible because late-type contact binaries allow an inter-exchange of both energy and mass between the component stars. The quasi-sinusoidal characteristics were interpreted in terms of a light-time effect due to an unseen tertiary component. The minimum masses of the tertiary component for both cases were calculated to be nearly the same as the $0.23-0.26M\;{\odot}$-ranges which is hardly detectable in a light curve synthesis. The upward parabolic O-C diagram corresponding to a secular period increase of about $4.12{\times}10^{-8}\;d/yr$ was interpreted as mass being transferred from the lesser to more massive component. The transfer rate for a conservative case was calculated to be about $2.66\;{\times}\;10^{-8}\;M_{\odot}/yr$ which is compatible with other W UMa-type contact binaries.

  • Generally, the development of the database application includes the requirement analysis phase of creating ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram) and process models, coding, and testing. From the above phases, the analysis phase is not most formalized. It is usually hard task because (1) customers don't know the details of the desired system; (2) developers can't with ease understand the business logic of the customers; (3) the outcomes of the analysis, which are ERD and process models, are not easy to understand to the customers. This paper propose that the executional forms, which are better to understand the systems, should be presented to the customers instead of the ERD. These forms should accept the data input so that customers can review the various aspects of the outcome models. The developers should be able to instantly implement the business logic and also should be able to visually demonstrate the logic in order to get the details of it. For this goal, the customer supplied business logic should be able to be implemented by the references between forms, actions, constraints from the perspective of the data flow. The customers try to execute the forms implementing the business logic and review their supplied logic find new necessary business logic of their own. Iterating these processes for the requirement analysis would result in the success of the analysis which is sufficiently detailed without conflicts.

  • Since the late 20th century, post-modern society has needed new styles in environmental design. The land art begun during that time supplied the momentum for the birth of the hybrid environmental design. The new design approach, focusing on land form and landscaping begun with land-form architecture, raised a powerful current of hybridization in the environmental design genres. The new picturesque landscape design distinguished by manipulated land forms and sublimated aesthetics appeared under the influence of land art and land-form architecture. Similarly, landscape urbanism was formed by the fusion of landscape architecture and urbanism. Therefore, the representative hybrid styles in environmental design appear as new picturesque landscape design, land-form architecture and landscape urbanism. With the new, strong interest in land and landscape, this same new interest was given to 'time' on account of the dynamics and indeterminacy of urban society. This new interest in land and time gave rise to new hybrid methodologies for environmental design such as mapping, diagramming and folding. These three tools have been applied most comprehensively in landscape urbanism. The 'fold' is the most popular design tool for most of the hybrid genres. The 'diagram' is the second-most popular design tool mostly for landscape urbanism and land-form architecture. Mapping is being actively applied to landscape urbanism and passively applied in new picturesque landscape design. In general, landscape urbanism seems to be a timely and suitable alternative for contemporary urban society. It displays very high potentials in the regeneration of the locality through the comprehensive hybrid methodology. It is necessary to actively engage in and develop landscape urbanism fit the local needs.
